150€ für eine verdammt schäbige Unterkunft. Im Flur hat es nach nassem Hund gerochen. Die Badfuge begannen fast an ein Eigenleben zu führen bei dem Schimmel. Man kann dort übernachten, aber der Preis ist eine Frecheit.

One of most terrible one ever stayed amd do not.recommend.
Surprisingly, Elevator which was built in 1967 is still running.

I booked a stay at this hotel through Expedia, but was unable to sleep due to extremely poor conditions. The entire building was under construction and had an overwhelming odor. The room lacked basic amenities such as cups or glasses, a safety box, shampoo, soap, even a shower head, and even lighting—believe it or not, I had to rely on the bathroom light to illuminate the room. The bed was extremely unstable—just a single cough caused it to bounce so much that I nearly fell off.

The toilet flush wasn’t working properly, there was no phone in the room to call for assistance, the closet was broken, and the staircase leading to the rooms was not only damaged but smelled terrible.

To make matters worse, there was no reception service after 11 PM. I checked in around 10 PM, and upon seeing the condition of the room, I went to find help, only to discover the front desk was already closed. I had to leave the hotel just to buy water and disposable cups. By the time I returned, the main entrance was locked, and I was forced to enter through the back.

This stay was extremely disappointing and far below even the most basic hospitality standards. I kindly request a full-night stay compensation for the time wasted and the distress I experienced.

Mould, misleading photos and misinformation

Misleading. The photos of this property start with the photo of a huge swimming pool. This doesn’t exist at the property. As well, the information contained in the description is inaccurate - it states that reception is open until 10pm. When you arrive, reception is only open until 7:30pm. The lockboxes work for self-checkin but the building and rooms look nothing like any of the photos. It’s old, tired and likely isn’t cleaned properly between stays. The shower had so much mould in the corners that could easily be cleaned with a bit of spray and a sponge. How long has it been left like that? Who knows. The bed was comfortable but when I lifted the sheet to see the mattress, there was hair covering it so I opted not to look further. The glass lamp cover was broken but not repaired or removed from the room. It’s quite dangerous to leave something uncovered with shards of glass protruding. Not impressed.

Basic accommodation which is satisfactory.

Things I was not happy about:
Room key - extremely difficult to open the room door, and very loud.

Room service - my clean t-shirt which was originally placed on the bed was somehow found on the floor of the room after I got back to my room at night. I tried to ask lady at the counter the next morning of the absurdity yet there was zero apologies and she accused me of not putting a sign on the door if I did not want room service. There are however no door signs available in the room, what was I supposed to put on? a hand written sign?

Nice location 10 mins walk into centre , parking facilities however every tight ideal for small cars , hotel staff very accommodating I booked two rooms mine was ideal the second double room was very small indeed , it was that small the bed was pushed up against wall and up against radiator under window therefore it left one aisle which when you passed you knocked the lights . But we paid budget price and that’s what you have to be prepared for . But can not fault hotel staff . Free water daily and free fruit can’t complain about that I would rate it 4 stars for budget hotel

Pleasant weekend getaway.

The hotel has been recently renovated and is typical for a family run hotel in Germany. The breakfast was OK, we had it once during our stay. The location is super, close to the thermal baths, climbing centre, and the city centre. Rooms were clean, small, and basic. No tea/coffee facilities in room.

Cheap hotel 20 minutes walk from the city centre.

Unfortunately, I think this I the lower end of the budget market. Whilst I didn't expect champagne facilities on a beer budget, the room was on the third floor, accessed by a very dated lift. The room was quite small, although clean. Sadly lacking air-con, we had to request a desk fan from reception. The bedside light didn't have a lead long enough to reach the power socket at the other end of the room which was a bit confusing.
The location, some 20 minutes walk from the main city centre was also a little daunting.
Good for tight budget, but little else.

The reception and dining area are very nice and welcoming. You can have a coffee and pick up fruit from there at any time. There is a small charge for a take away coffee. The breakfast is nice: you get scrambled and boiled eggs, selection of salamis and cheeses, bread, bread rolls and croissants. Also yogurt and cereals. I've seen a bottle of sparkling wine which wasn't open but I suppose if you fancied one, they would open it for you? Anyway, I would recommend coming a bit earlier for breakfast as they didn't really replenish food once it went.

Rooms are basic and clean. There is no hairdryer. Parking near the hotel is limited and you can park your car in a public parking lot which is about 3 minutes walk away. It was free on Sunday and am not sure if it's chargeable at other times. Beds are surprisingly comfortable (I was expecting to wake up with backache).

Although hotels has 5 floors, the lift goes only to the fourth floor so if you have any problems with mobility, let the hotel know. There are about 4 or 5 steps from the reception area to the lift.

The hotel is nice but was not happy with the color of the pillows and felt itchy while lying in bed, woke up with a terrible aching back.
Breakfast was not at all appealing so we requested a refund and staff were happy to refund.

The rooms were clean, the breakfast was fresh and nice, the staff was terrific, I found it peaceful to be there and easy on the budget too. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.. It was easy to get into town and I stayed there a week. I would recommend this hotel as an an excellent basic hotel.

Workable but needs an update

Well located near the northern parks. This hotel soebt a lot of money nicely renovating the reception and breakfast room with colorful and fun pictures of dogs in suits. It's modern and clean. They did not however spend any money renovating anything after that. The hallways, rooms and elevators are hostel like and a little rough. They can do with an upgrade. The staff is nice enough- but his is hostel service- don't expect 3 star hotel service and reception.

There is traffic noise from the front 24 hours a day. Plus I was given a room right next to a large neon sign, so there was light coming into the room. Beds are so springy you wake up when you turn over in the night. Cheap plastic chairs. Internet barely works. Perfunctory breakfast. This is completely charmless, run-down and generally awful.

If you arrive after 10pm you go though garage up stairs and though 2 locked doors with your key!! I you have a early flight no one to help you with luggage though back door stairs and garage to get to street!!!! When you book it is this information is not available !

Leider war es kein schöner Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer lädt nicht zum Verweilen ein und alles sieht viel schlechter als auf den Bildern aus. Ganz sauber war es auch nicht und eine Nacht wäre fast das Unglück passiert, dass der Nachteingang durch Vorgänger unzugänglich gemacht wurde. Ich brauche Zimmer nur zum Schlafen, doch das Zimmer war eine Zumutung. Immerhin war das Personal gut und nett.

Es wurde zwar versucht optisch die Zimmer etwas modern zu gestalten, leider ist der Zustand was Sauberkeit betrifft eine Katastrophe... In den Duschen ist von oben bis unten alles voll Schimmel (ein bisschen in den Ecken wäre ja noch \"in Ordnung\") und es sieht aus als wäre nie geputzt worden. Ebenso in den Fensterrahmen Schimmel, sowie Schmutz auf dem Boden, Haare im Waschbecken und auf dem Bett, Flecken auf der Bettdecke usw. Wir sind nach einer Stunde wieder abgereist und in ein anderes Hotel umgezogen. Mein autistischer Sohn hat es nicht ausgehalten...

Als reine Schlafmöglichkeit ausreichend

Parkplatzsuche ist schwer (öffentlicher Parkplatz 5€ und Hotelparkplatz 8€ am Tag).
Die Rezeption ist abends lange besetzt d das Personal äußerst zuvorkommend, aber morgens erst ab 12 Uhr, was es bspw. unmöglich macht morgens heißes Wasser für Kaffee zu bekommen.
Die Zimmer und Flure sind recht eng und die Wände etwas dünn.
Zimmer sind süß gestaltet und es gibt sogar einen smart TV um Streaming-Dienste zu schauen.
Das WLAN war gut. Das Reinigungspersonal sehr zuverlässig, hat einen auch nicht um 8 Uhr aus dem Bett geschmissen.
Keine Getränke und/oder Snackautomaten sowie kein Frühstücksangebot.
Fahrstuhl vorhanden aber nicht Rollstuhlgerecht.

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, an den Wänden sind Wasserflecken und schwarzer Schimmel. Im Bad ist die dusche komplett verschimmelt, das wasser lässt sich nur schwer kalt stellen, das Waschbecken wird mit Klebeband repariert. Die Matratzen sind komplett voll mit gelben Flecken und Blut.
Der TV geht auch nicht.

Contrary to previous reviews, the hotel is OK, especially for the price. The room is small and the bathroom is compact as well, yes, but they are definately enough. The rooms are facing a busy street, yes, but nothing disturbed our sleep. The room was clean, the water was hot.

The good thing is the location -- very close to two museums, very close to the Thermen, many cheap eats in the vicinity.

There are some problems though. First of all, advertised reception open times are a total lie -- the reception was never open in the morning, and they close not at 22:00 as advertise. There is a self-check-in available, but you cannot count on a possibility of leaving your bags before or after your stay.
Second of all, the \"non smoking room\" stank of cigarettes.
Thirdly -- mattress is indeed very, very soft. It's OK for a few nights though!

Der Empfang beim einchecken war freundlich. 2 von 4 Zimmern waren um 15 Uhr noch nicht fertig. 2 Zimmer waren mit Fenster zur Straße und so laut, als würden die Fenster offen stehen, die aber komplett geschlossen waren. Ruhig wurde es es erst morgens um 4 Uhr. Zwei Zimmer waren mit Fenster Richtung Hof und damit ruhiger. Aber in den Badezimmern war Schimmel, was auch in den Zimmern zu riechen war. Das ganze Objekt ist sanierungsbedürftig!!!

Hotel an verkehrsintensiver Straße, nur erträglich, wenn schalldichte Fenster komplett geschlossen, Einrichtung veraltet und schlecht gepflegt, aber insgesamt sauber. Zimmer zu beengt, Personal freundlich, Servicezeiten sehr reduziert.
Insgesamt wirkt Hotel so, wie wenn es übermorgen sowieso altersbedingt geschlossen werden würde.

De billeder i fremviser lever ikke op til det man kommer ned til😡. For det første er der ingen swimmingpool som vist på div billede. Og for det andet kunne man ikke få morgenmad på hotellet, som der ellers var reklameret med var med i prisen på hotellet. Så vi var 4 mand der var nød til selv at skulle ud og bruge penge på morgenmad ved en bager.
Så alt i alt var der meget skuffende ophold.

Het was een moeilijke start. De receptie was gesloten en via een belletje er uiteindelijk achter gekomen dat onze sleutels in een kastje lagen. De gang stonk erg en we miste een parkeergelegenheid. Uiteindelijk op een terrein naast het hotel geparkeerd. Een kleine kamer met een niet lekker liggen matras. Verder schoon en helaas geen ontbijt voor ons.

Leider ist die Rezwption selten besetzt und außen ist keine Telefonnummer angegeben, die man anrufen kann, wenn man am Hotel ankommt. Außerdem war der Aufzug defekt und mein Zimmer lag im 4. OG. Das es kein Abendessen gibt ist ja heutzutage in vielen Hotels üblich, aber dass auch kein Frühstück angeboten wird ist katastrphal. Das Zimmer war äußerst klein, ohne Fernseher und Kühlschrank. Die Duschabtrennung konnte man nischt schlißen, sodass ich bei offener Tür duschen musste. Der Durchgang der Tür war so eng, dass ich nur so eben quer hindurchpasste - und ich bin schlank! Wenn man auf dem WC sitzt, hängt das Waschbecken über den Knien, in dem man sich waschen kann, wenn man noch in der Tür zum Bad steht. Also alles äußerst eng und klein. Nicht zu empfehlen und schon fast unverschämt, so etwas als Hotel anzubieten.

- von den Bilder sind nur sehr wenige 2-3 vom Hotel bzw. den Rest gibt es in der Form nicht mehr
- Frühstück gibt es auch nicht mehr
- Zimmer stink nach Rauch
- Gardinen haben Löcher und sind kaputt
- Zimmer wurde denke ich mit einer dünnen Wand geteilt, so dass man den Nachbarn sehr gut hört

Laat je niet misleiden door de foto's!

Kamer (nummer 15) heeft enkel de grootte van tweepersoonsbed. Badkamer was in slechte staat. De douche is super klein.Men kan de auto's van de straat goed horen. De trap naar de kamers was niet proper. Parkeerplaats is voor geoefende chaufeurs (8,5 euro)...
De foto's zijn misleidend, dit is eerder een low-budget hotel.

Leider einmal&nie wieder, Sauberkeit=Wichtigste

Im Bad hingen an der Wand fremde Haare, als wir unsere Zimmer bezogen, im Schrank lag auch eins. Unser Zimmer (33) war super klein, das Bett war durchgelegen und auf der Toilette konnte man kaum sitzen, weil die Knie an der Dusche waren. Tablett im Zimmer war toll, TV gab es auch. Design des Zimmers war ansprechend. Personal am Empfang stets freundlich. Lage war praktisch, zumal man direkt vor der Tür auf der anderen Straßenseite am Wochenende ab 17h kostenlos bis Montagmorgen um 9h parken kann. Der Getränkeautomat für Tee und Kaffee war sehr praktisch.

Séjour lors des fêtes de Noël

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hotel avec ma mère et mon chien. Tout le personnel (qu'il s'agisse de l'accueil, de l'accueil petit-déjeuner ou des agents d'entretien) était vraiment tres agréable et souriants. Ils n'hésitaient pas à nous renseigner sur l'hôtel autant que sur la ville.
Les chambres étaient très propres et les lits confortables. La salle de bain était bien équipée.
Ce fut un réel plaisir et nous y retournerons très rapidement.

Dss Hotel liegt recht zentral. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber sauber und zweckmäßig. Die Kissen sind für meinen Geschmack etwas hart, aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau. Insgesagt ist das hotel sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder

Sehr gutes Frühstück kein speck aber sonst alles da freundliche Bedienung.
Toilette bei ankunft nicht sauber hatte noch erbrochenes drinn . Bad mega eng. Zimmer sehr eng am Fenster was sehr laut zudem war.

Niet groot, maar compleet !

Het hotel licht vlakbij het centrum. Parkeren kan in het hotel, of vlakbij.
De kamers zijn slim ingericht, maar alles is aanwezig. Niets gemist. Van de drukke straat hoor je niets.
Het ontbijt was prima, goed verzorgd. We genoten van het champagneontbijt.
Ook de mensen waren vriendelijk en servicegericht.

Graag gaan we er weer naartoe !

Hotel Krone is uiterst geschikt als je dicht bij het centrum wil overnachten op ongeveer 10 minuutjes wandelen. De kamers zijn klein maar proper. Er is gratis WIFI, TV en je beschikt ook over een tablet op de kamer om dingen op te zoeken. Het ontbijt is zeker aan te raden!!! Prijs/kwaliteit vind ik dit een zeer goed hotel. Was reeds mijn 2de keer dat ik hier verbleef en zou onmiddellijk hetzelfde hotel nemen als ik in Aachen moet overnachten. Het is ook ideaal dat er dichtbij het hotel een ruime parking is. Het personeel in de ontbijtruimte is super vriendelijk en zeer hulpvaardig. Er is zelfs cava inbegrepen in de prijs. Per nacht krijg je ook een fles water gratis.

Das Frühstück für 10 € ist super, sogar Sekt wurde ausgegeben.
Zimmer zur Hofseite sehr klein, wir hatten leider das Pech, das im Innenhof das Wochenende ein Musikfestival stattfand und es sehr laut war. Wir haben dann die 2. Nacht ein Zimmer zur Straßenseite bekommen, welches dann ja auch nicht ruhiger war ,-), aber etwas größer und das Bad saniert war.
Ich denke, wenn kein Event in Aachen rund um das Hotel stattfindet, ist es zu empfehlen.

Badezimmer etwas klein, für korpulente Menschen etwas schwierig. Zimmer liegen zur Hauptstraße mit Kreuzung und Bushaltestelle. Hotel ist liebevoll mit vielen kleinen Details eingerichtet. Personal sehr höflich. Wir kommen wieder.

alles Notwendige war vorhanden. Die Lage ist etwas ungünstig, wenn man mit der Bahn kommt. Etwa 15 Minuten vom Bahnhof mit dem Bus entfernt.

Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Zimmer und die Bettdecken waren wirklich dreckig. Außerdem hing eine Lampe aus der Wand heraus, wo man die Lüsterklemme sah. Unser Fazit: NIE WIEDER

Das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber das war der einzige Punkt, bei dem sich der günstige Preis direkt wieder gespiegelt hat. Kostenlose Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer, sehr sauber, gute Matratze, freundliches Personal und ein gutes Frühstück.

Zimmer im 5. Stock glich eher einer Besenkammer, Badezimmer war eine Zumutung, sehr eng, keine Lüftung, Duschkopf kaputt, undicht.

De kamer 31 is passend voor een eenpersoonskamer maar de badkamer te klein. Verder is het gehorig, zeker de geluiden van de gang en slaande deuren. Zeker als er andere gasten laat terug komen.
Dit gaat dus over de 3de etage kamer 31. Ik kan niet spreken over andere kamers.
Het personeel is wel vriendelijk. Maar dat had ik al aangegeven.

Prima in orde voor een kort verblijf.
Voor langer verblijf minder geschikt, geen terras, balkons etc. Wij zijn er geweest om een relatief goedkope overnachting te hebben en dichtbij Landgraaf (Pinkpop)

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage. Der Dom ist ca. 10 min fußläufig entfernt. Fahrräder können sicher in einer Garage abgestellt werden. Das Hotel selber ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Personal ist sehr bemüht und nett, aber leider fehlt es an einem Konzept. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr chaotisch,
