Because of the automated check-in, you do have to wait until the allotted time. However, this is the only real drawback. The rooms are large and clean, the beds comfortable and the staff very helpful (if you ever even need them, given how well-organised things are). It’s a short walk into Aachen centre, but you can get the bus, if needed.

It was so hot in the hotel, and there was so much noise from the street that my daughter and I couldn't sleep. The front desk staff was pretty impersonal and lacked customer service skills. Was also told this place had \"ventilation\" if would be somewhat comparable to having air conditioning before booking. When we arrived we were told the \"ventilation\" blew hot air, and indeed it did. What kind of special \"ventilation\" is that? The kind that should be standard in every high occupancy building? Anyways, we stayed one night and checked out. And that was entirely too long of a stay in this hell hole. Will never return.

Room was clean and fairly comfortable, but air conditioning didn't work and window opened onto noisy main road with drunk people shouting late into the night.
No room key - you have to use a six digit code every time you access the room.
I booked three nights and paid extra for breakfast, but was told on my first morning that breakfast was not available any more - no explanation, no apology and staff didn't know how to process a refund. No answer on why I wasn't told this on checking in. Eventually got a refund of the cost of breakfast after more than two weeks and several messages, but still no explanation or apology, or compensation for inconvenience.
OK hotel but absolutely no concept of customer service.

No parking for SUV's but good otherwise

Overall a pretty good hotel. We booked 2 rooms for a family vacation. Both rooms were a queen bed and were fine for us adults and our toddler. Rooms were surprisingly small, though, probably the smallest of all the hotels we stayed in during our Europe tour. Hotel provided a crib in one of the rooms for our baby which made it even more cramped. But as a plus the hotel did have the crib ready in the room when we arrived, which was great. Biggest complaint is the complete lack of parking. Their small parking garage only accommodates short cars. If you drive an SUV you will not be able to park in the hotel garage. I had to drop off my family at the curb and drive several blocks down the road until I finally found an available spot on the street. That whole ordeal was very frustrating. Breakfast was good. No issues with check-in or check-out.

No existent air conditioning, difficult parking.

The room was clean and well maintained however the air con simply wasn’t good enough even at full force it nevered cooled the room. Opening a window wasn’t much better as then you got the noise from the streets around the hotel. Parking should come with a warning as anything bigger than a small hatchback and your in for a nightmare. We were given no directions whatsoever on how to use the underground automatic parking lifts. If it doesn’t fit in the boxes there are two bays on the ramp in to the car park and if they are full I guess you have to find your own parking. One good point was the breakfast which was plentifull and with a good selection.

Car parking was nightmare.....you also need a environmental free tax disc if you bring your car into the city, checkin reception do not know where to get it from. In the morning the receptionist pointed us to the rights area where we were able to obtain.
A disturbed night due to noisy neighbours and the thin walls, compensated by take away items from breakfast bar. Would of expected more.
Overall, a typical Ibis hotel in the city set to Ibis standards.

Okay, this is a nice hotel in a nice city, but the decor is a triumph of style over function; orange ceiling panel with multiple lights hanging from it, orange light UNDER the bed!, no usable bed side lights for reading. Please Ibis, let's have a bit of functionality before style! However, the hotel is conveniently placed on the outer edge of the inner city, has it's own car parking (vital in Aachen) and friendly staff. Beware though, the car park is not well signed and missing it is a pain on a one way street.

Surprisingly good value for money

I had a brilliant time at this hotel, staff were very friendly, the room was very stylish, the bed comfy and a modern bathroom with a fantastic shower there was free coffee and fast free WIFI. Breakfast buffet was included in the room price and had a good choice. For what I paid for the weekend, they truly exceeded my expectations.

A great hotel with nice staff and well located

We had stayed three times before so knew the hotel well. Its on the edge of the centre of town but a short walk (Aachen is not too big) but most importantly we came to stay so that we could visit the nearby Carolus Thermen which its well located for, and I think many guests were doing the same! The hotel is excellent. Its staff are all lovely, the rooms very clean with VERY comfy beds and nice and quiet. Its the perfect place for a good nights sleep. The bar is not very nice downstairs (over lit and a bit sterile) but thats fine as there are lovely pubs in the centre a short walk away and good placed to eat. The breakfast here is GREAT value for money, tasty and large buffet with good coffee :-) Looking forward to going back!! Thank you IBIS Styles!

I went to Germany (Aachen) knowing next to nothing about their language or how business operates around there. But the staff at this hotel was really kind enough to guide me where I needed to go or explain various stuff I couldn't understand. Overall it was a very nice hotel to stay at and I would recommend it to almost anyone who is looking to have a short stay in the city of Aachen.

Hotel is new and the breakfast was very good. Neighborhood is rather questionable as there were a lot of seedy people hanging around. 10-15 minute walk to the Dom, which is worth the trip. Very small room and bed, but it's clean and new. Internet was very fast and reliable. Parking garage is secure, but not designed for US cars. If you have a European small car you're fine. I'm pretty sure Dr. Seuss or an 8 year old decorated the hotel. Think Hipster chic.

Very nice modern styled room

After getting wrong directions on how to get here on foot, we finally found it. Great location and very clean. Other than some street noise (our room was in the front), it was very quiet. It was very convenient for us in that there's a laundromat across the street and the Carolus Therman was just blocks away. Loved Aachen, a very nice small city. Would go back again.

Not in the heart of Aachen but just a 5min walk!

The hotel is in the surrounding neighbour of Aachen and only a short walk into the heart . The breakfast was BRILLIANT! We stayed there for the Grand Prix - and it was perfect :) Would recommend this hotel :)

Very close to Carolus Thermen - great all round

Our stay was a bargain; its not the greatest neighbourhood immediately around it, but a short walk across the road is the main park for Aachen and the city Center is a short 10 min walk, it's great. It's also a short walk to the main Spa of the town which is what we were visiting for. Very clean and great breakfast and staff... We will stay again.

Nice hotel, great price

The hotel looks completely renovated, the rooms are very stylish. Breakfast is quite good, for an hotel of this standard with warm dishes (eggs) and a cold buffet with plenty of options. You can reach the central bus station in 5 minutes and the town center in less than 10 minutes walking. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in the neighbourhood. The only negative point is the lack of a chair in the room - instead you have an yoga ball, that nicely matches the room design, but it's not conformable for a long day sitting at the computer -anyway, you can always use the common areas, with plenty of tables.

A good value for the price. Staff was polite and very helpful. Breakfast was good. Internet was slow but available for no charge. Unfortunately my room had no desk or chair on which to sit and work. This was rather surprising and most annoying. Lobby chairs were uncomfortable and unsuited to work. Room was very cold first night. Then discovered that wall thermostat did not control the heat. Instead there was a unit under the window with a knob, which had to be turned to allow heat in to the radiator. The heat from this unit worked fine thereafter.

This is a great hotel. EsP great for family with kids. The color,deco and facilities are really for kids. The staff are warm and helpful. Breakfast was great and was allowed to take away coffee or tea. And drinks will provided in the lobby. Room deco is very nice.seem to have different team in each room. The bed was comfortable and could slept very well in it.

We stayed in the All Seasons Hotel in Aachen for two nights while visiting the University there. We found each member of staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was a real treat with such a variety of foods to choose from. The hotel was only a short walk from the main centre an all amenities. We look forward to returning to the hotel again sometime soon and would highly recommend it to others wishing to visit Aachen.

Plus points:
Good service and helpful staff.
Good breakfast, included in rate.
Walking distance to city.

Negatives:
Parking garage is underground and limited only for small cars. Larger estates or MPVs will not fit. We only found this out when we arrived. The staff were very apologetic and organised another place for our car. Keep this in mind if you have a tall car.

All seasons - perfect stay!

Absolutely loved this hotel - bright, clean and colourful rooms. Free Wifi, free coffee/tea with take away cups in lobby until 10pm! AMAZING breakfast with a huge selection. even something for the kids. A nice short walk into town (15mins), there is a really good East African restaurant across the road - very authentic! Would definitely recommend and would stay here if I ever went back to Aachen.

City Centre, almost

This hotel was used as a transit break to further into Germany, and to visit the Cathederal and the Christmas Market while we were there. About 10 min walk into the centre, about the same to the local Spa, so no problems seeing the rest of the city. A great Argentinian steak house about 2 minutes walk, so the lack of a hotel evening meal no problem. Helpful staff and ample breakfast(proper continental not the UK version with a stale croisant and a slice of cheap cheddar). Good value over all, but there is no real chill out area for the evening, and low furniture (very modern) makes sitting in the room not a comfortable option - it depends on what you want. Some underground parking, but someone ran into our parked car(in a parking slot) while we were in the hotel. Hotel staff were very helpful and stopped them leaving, and have CTV shots - but a Belgian driver in a German City hitting a UK car...... Rather took the edge off the stay, if you do try it don't forget the Lindt factory shop as a major visit point - take cash!

Car park space just by the front door.

The All Seasons Aachen is the cheapest option in the city. The hotel apparently is two stars, but to us it felt like a three star hotel. It has been recently renovated, it's clean, comfortable, close to the centre and the staff are lovely. Extra bonus is that in the price you get a fantastic breakfast buffet. Highly recommend.

Overall it was good. Clean, quite central, nice stuff people. Breakfast was good. Just a little note... for my personal taste, the mattress was to hard (even if I know some people like it that way). Also I don't understand why I got only one pillow... I was just by myself, but 2 pillows are good for reading and watching tv.

Nach einer Party Nacht habe ich Samstags um ca. 12 Uhr 15 leider keinen Kaffee mehr bekommen , das fand ich ein wenig Schade !
Der Snackautonat war am gestrigen Sonntag Abend ziemlich leer und es war nicht mehr für jedem etwas dabei .
Einfach zwischen durch mal nachfüllen.
Das Personal hingegen war sehr freundlich .
Ich hatte ohne Frühstück gebucht , durfte mir aber Sonntag und Montag einen Kaffee ziehen .
Dafür gab es auch einen Beitrag von mir für die Trinkgeldkasse !
Alles in allem....sehr gerne komme ich wieder !!

Leuk hotel, netjes, schoon en vriendelijk personeel. Grootste nadeel van dit hotel is het gebrek aan koeling op twee warme dagen. Airco, die beloofd wordt, is volstrekt ontoereikend. Ga hier niet naar toe als het buiten warm is.
Nooit zo’n slechte klimaatcontrolle meegemaakt.

しかし、エアコンが上手く効かないことや、シャワーの温度調節が難しすぎること、何故かチェックインを後回しにされたこと、レセプションに人が居ない時間が長いことが不満であった。

Nettes und praktisches Hotel für 1-2 Nächte. Der Service ist eher Basic und die Gegend fühlt sich im dunkeln eher nicht so toll an. Um 1-2 Tage die Stadt anzuschauen aber okay.

Hôtel propre pas loin à pied du centre ville. Personnel très sympathique. Quartier populaire. Notre chambre donnait sur une avenue très bruyante. Petit déjeuner bien mais un peu cher à mon goût. Parking payant mais pratique si petite voiture. Rapport qualité prix correct.

Gutes Hotel für preisbewusste Gäste. Ausstattung des Zimmers ist zweckmäßig auf das Notwendigste begrenzt. Alles sauber. Fenster kann man zum Kippen öffnen und sind geschlossen schalldicht. Das Hotel ist für Touristen und Geschäftsleute gut gelegen. Eurogress und Shoppingzone im Zentrum sind jeweils in 5 bis 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Parkhaus ist etwas eng, aber ich konnte mit einem X3 noch gut einparken. Vor dem Hotel ist alles gebührenpflichtige Parkzone. Frühstück wird angeboten, aber habe ich nicht gebucht.

Es war an sich ein guter Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer war ausreichend sauber (Die Dusche war nicht 100 % sauber bei Ankunf und nicht ausreichend Klopapier), aber der Rest war sauber. Alle Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Die Umgebung ist ein bisschen gewöhnungsbedürftig und laut, aber das muss man aushalten können. Sonst gab es Supermärkte in der Nähe und die Innenstadt ist auch nicht weit entfernt. .
