The location was good, but the room was extremely small. For a couple with luggage, it was very difficult to move around, and there was barely space to walk inside the room. The interior also felt very old and outdated. Overall, the room was quite disappointing despite the good location.

Stayed here for the 2026 Tokyo Marathon. Staff were fast to respond to queries. Location was perfect, very close to the subway stations, even the bus stop was about a 3min walk away. Also walking distance to the heart of Shinjuku, had a 24 hour “canteen” across the road. There are 7-11’s close by as well as Lawson.

Got a double room but the size would have been on the smaller side to fit two people with many luggage’s. I would recommend getting a bigger room for 2.

Otherwise loved my stay here, would definitely recommend!!

I LOVED STAYING HERE. the location is everything! you are close to two 7/11's, FamilyMart, Lawson, and a 24/7 diner, all within minutes of walking. In addition, the Higashi-Shinjuku station entry is literally next door and so convenient to access. The room itself is a great size for Japan standards *(rooms are generally much smaller in general), clean, maintained well and the bathroom is fantastic! The water pressure is the best I've ever experienced and that includes 5-star hotels and resorts. I also love the toiletry desk that is setup and the comfy PJ sets that are available on each floor for guests to use. The staff are wonderful and even arranged a taxi pickup for me on the day I left for the airport. Overall, I would stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

Room was clean and tidy and fit our needs fine. The aircon and heater took a bit of figuring out but worked well. Bathroom had plenty of amenities available at the reception and towels changed everyday we requested them. Staff were fantastic, coming to say hello to us and our baby when they saw us. Polite and friendly. Hotel was located right next to a subway station and elevator which made getting around with luggage and stroller easy. Would happily stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very convenient location next to the Oeda line and a 10 minute walk to Golden Gai. While the rooms are not very spacious (something we were aware of so not a negative note really) the amenities of complimentary soaps, lotions and razors and the excellent service from all the staff more than made up for it.

The Sotetsu inn was very nice, rooms were smaller than we thought. But it was clean.We had to manage the space with our luggage to allow us to move around in the room. It was a tight space, but we managed. Very close to transportation, literally 50 feet away from the subway station entrance. Breakfast was good enough to get us by until a late lunch . The staff was very nice and pleasant and very accommodating. We had a wonderful time.

Sotetsu fresa inn gave me everything i wanted. I stayed 3 nites. I asked the staffs about 5 times for services and each time they found what i needed within 2 minutes.
The location is super convenient.. right on top of higashi shinjuku station.

Within 3 minutes walk there is a supermarket.

The facility is super modern.. very compact and very well designed

Location was very convenient to subway stations, convenience atores, restaurants and nearby sightseeing areas. The hotel offered ammenities that you could take on your way up to the room. The rooms were clean and offered towel changing and/or housecleaning if notified by 12pm. Check in and check out were on the kiosks in front of the feont sesk and convenient to use.

Dont be deceived by the photos though, the rooms are SMALL and be prepared to no fans!

We were there first week of December and they do have AC and what seemed to be a fan unit but it didn't really moved air, so if you are used to having air moving you may find it a bit hard to cope. If you dont mind then its great!

The location was convenient and we enjoyed our 5 night stay at this hotel. The carpet needs to be updated, as it looked like it was from the 1970’s, and in fact, the carpet in our room had multiple bleached areas. I commend the hotel for having washers and dryers on two floors, and we liked the ability to see if the machines are available on the television. The bathroom was a good size compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Japan. However, I think that safety handles just outside the bathtub would be a good addition for one to grab onto, especially when one’s feet are wet.

But great staff good restaurant attached and a good location between Shinjuku and Koreatown but not as crowded an area. Metro next door a plus even if not the most frequent service.

On the hind sight, we'd book a larger room 😊 as the one we booked was suitable for one person, not 2. The room was clean. No room to store suitcases and the tiny closet can hold maybe one or 2 garments. The staff was good when we could get hold of one. Sometimes, it's busy or we couldn't find one at the counter. We like the location, the laundry facility, the coffee/tea they stocked at the lobby. It's within easy walking distance to the train station! We'd stay there again in a larger room next time!

Amazing stay ! I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to shibuku, or anywhere nearby to plan their stays around Fresa inn! Not only are the staff super friendly and go up and beyond , but the rooms are nice clean , breakfast was amazing , and area was so close to subways stations and other tourist areas. Also fyi , they offer so many free amenities that can dramatically decrease your packing such as : shampoo , face lotion , sunscreen but also lovely extras such as hair wax , razors and face masks ! Just go and book it you won’t regret it !

Newer, clean and the rooms are ever so slightly larger than some other business hotels in the city, comfortable for a solo traveller for 1-4 days. Breakfast was good, staff were good, would stay here again.
