Room was clean and staff was great. When booking the hotel, it only said wired internet, but the hotel did have WiFi which was good. The only thing was the room size. The living space was smaller than anticipated because the bathroom turn out to be huge, so when sq ft was stated in the booking, a lot of it went to the bathroom.

The room was small but larger than similar rooms at other properties it definitely did not feel like a shoebox there was room to walk around the bed and access the bathroom which was a very good size with a shower and a tub. The staff was amazing very respectful very differential and willing to cater to you every need. All of the signs and important papers are presented in multiple languages which can’t be said for every property in Tokyo. As far as the location is concerned it can’t be beat if you’re looking for a nice quiet comfortable hotel that’s Minutes from restaurants and shopping this is the place for you

The hotel was in Korea town, there were lots of dining options and shopping to enjoy. It was a very lively area, very bust, people everywhere, lots happening. Even so, the hotel was very quiet.
The staff were very friendly and kind.
We had the luxury of our own sauna, it was great.

The hotel was just as expected based on its price. The rooms are small as usual for these types of hotels in Tokyo area but newly remodeled and clean. Bed was not very comfortable unfortunately. There is no laundry in the hotel but there is a laundromat steps from the hotel so it worked out good. Overall we had a good experience. 10-15 walk to Shinjuku station , which was very doable .

By far the best hotel we stayed on our Japan trip. A few convenience stores within walking distance, subway and train stations within a 5-10 minute walk. If you want to stay within the heart of Shinjuku, would highly recommend. Staying during the midst of summer, we were very grateful the aircon was perfection !

Nice hotel, good bathroom facilities with a deep bath, perfect as some who is 6’2”, I was able to soak up to my neck comfortably.

Room size was on the snug size with two full size suitcases and carryon taking up a fair amount of the floor space, but not unusual for the location.

The beds were a bit on the firmer side, a little too firm to allow for solid sleep, but that might work for others.

Amenities included were the usual affair, and with a good sized 7/11 and FamilyMart on either end of the block, supplies were easily accessible.

Far enough out of the main hustle of Shinjuku, but close enough that walking to the station is a 7-10min stroll.

Hotel was doing renovations on some floors when we stayed, however the noise levels were unnoticeable, and the construction crews polite.

Stayed here for two weeks. Fantastic location only a few minutes walk from the heart of Shinjuku nightlife. About an 8 minute walk from Shinjuku station which takes you everywhere you could want to go in Tokyo and beyond.

Staff were fantastic with excellent English. Very friendly and helpful, and willing to hold onto our luggage after checkout until our flight.

The room was clean and cosy, with a deep bath and wide shower head. Toilet has a bidet, tap water is cold and drinkable. They provide towels, toiletries, drinking water, a kettle, a fridge, and AC all for free. The TV was also big and easy to use.
I personally enjoyed the bed quite a lot but my Fiancé had some difficulties with the Japanese-style pillow of having a soft top and a beanbag-style bottom. Luckily the hotel is a 2 minute walk from Don Quijote, which sells just about everything you can imagine to make your stay comfy.

The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, a batting cage, and bars just down the road. Really a perfect location.

Overall, a fantastic and cheap option for anyone wanting to stay in the hustle and bustle of Tokyo’s nightlife capital. No complaints here. Much love from the UK.

Really a 4.5 because of the neighborhood and it's a few minutes to walk to the various train stations, but you get good options for stations to use within a few minutes walking. It's overall pretty quiet. The room staff are really brilliant, the room size is solid for Japan standards, the bed is pretty comfy, it's surprisingly quiet considering the neighborhood nearby, the shower is good and the bathtub is really good. Bathtubs are rare, and the shower is not as good as other places we stayed in Japan, but it's good. The neighborhood is a little interesting especially for Japan, but the hotel is really a find. PS: Try the tea! Wow!

It is what it is. Tokyo is expensive for what you get in terms of product. The area is a little seedy but manageable. Its main redeeming quality is that it is central. The staff were helpful. Don’t opt in for the breakfast collab with the coffee shop. You actually save money purchasing your brunch through the restaurant directly. My advice, invest some more into your vacation upgrade to a better stay.

Great stay. Lovely room, went with queen size as lots of Japan hotel rooms are quite small. Easy travel to other neighbourhoods via metro which was max 12 min walk. In the busy area of Shinjuku which is interesting to walk through at night at times but felt completely safe. Close to other nearby areas E.g. Golden Gai, Omoide Yokocho and all the shopping areas. 7/11 right outside so great for morning coffee run! Would definitely recommend and stay here again if was in Tokyo!!

Chose the private sauna room since it's price was comparable to the cost of rooms in the area. Having the sauna was amazing after long days of walking and sightseeing. Pajamas were comfortable. Tea offerings were yummy, especially the chocolate honey tea. Hotel was quiet. 7-11 right across the street; Family Mart, Lawson, and Don Quijote close by.

Staff placed our luggage in our room since we arrived before check in and checked out Shinjuku. Staff also helpful.

A really nice hotel with fun style rooms. We were a bit worried about the location being near the Tokyo red light district however we didn’t have any problems- we weren’t out later than 10pm however. The staff were friendly and checking in and out was easy as well as storing our luggage on our last day. The bath in our room was really deep which was lovely and the bathroom felt spacious. The room could’ve been bigger however, we upgraded to a slightly larger room however we still could only open our suitcase on the bed and not the floor.

The hotel is in the red light district, this didn’t bother us as we are early risers and early to bed, but single travellers may want to keep this in mind. (I was approached whilst smoking a ciggerette by someone thinking I was working). Bathtub, amenities and less than a minutes walk to laundromat and convenience stores, was a bonus. I will stay here again when I return.

The Villa Fontaine is in an excellent area and the front desk staff is wonderful. The rooms (despite an alleged update in 2022) feel very old and the beds are quite firm. The bathroom is nice but the kitschy wallpaper and neon signs is a bit… odd. It’s a weird place with some unique character and you’d be hard pressed to beat the location. Don’t expect to be blown away by this hotel but it gets the job done.

I stayed at Villa Fontaine Hotel in Shinjuku for 20 nights with 2 adults in a queen bed room.

Check-in was at 3:00 PM, and check-out at 11:00 AM. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the train station and subway, and just 5 minutes to the heart of Shinjuku with plenty of food and things to do.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and their English was great. They even held our bags before check-in. The hotel is simple but clean, and every 3 days they did a deeper clean with new bedding, while fresh towels and water were provided daily unless you put up a \"Do Not Disturb\" sign. The room was spacious enough that it didn’t feel claustrophobic, and we could easily open all three of our suitcases.

Amenities included pajamas, toothbrushes, razors, face cleansers, moisturizers, green tea, and coffee. After I requested English breakfast tea, they provided a fantastic selection after over a week.

While the hotel is near busy Shinjuku, it wasn’t too noisy. If you’re out exploring, you’ll likely be too tired to notice.

For 20 days, it felt like home, and we’d definitely stay again. A big thank you to the staff!

Note: There’s no washing machine or tumble dryer, but a public laundromat is just a 2-minute walk away. It was easy to use, and the price was reasonable. We didn't have a need for parking or dining options so I don't know about those.

Hotel was in a convenient location -- minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. Loved that the bedroom and bathroom was very spacious. Our room had enough space for our two checked-in luggages and two carry-on luggages. The hotel offered complimentary toiletries at the lobby area and provided us with two water bottles whenever they entered our room. I would recommend this hotel!
