Hotel Gracery is a great choice for the right traveler. Inside, the hotel is clean and modern. When compared to other hotels in Tokyo you'll find the accomodations at Hotel Gracery are an upgrade compared to other options. The staff at the reception area all speak english and they're ready to help with whatever you need. It's also a quick walk to the train station.

I would not recommend this hotel for travelers with young kids however. This hotel is in the middle of the Shinjuku red light district. If you're walking around the hotel after hours you'll probably get approached by a man who's job is to get people into the clubs. I don't think these guys would approach a family with a young kid, but it's probably not the environment you're looking for on a family vacation.

You always hear about Tokyo being very clean, and it is, but if you walk out of the Hotel Gracery at 6am and you'll think a bomb went off in the streets overnight with trash everywhere. The workers do a good job to clean up the mess from the previous night quickly, but you'll probably be shocked at just how many beer cans and trash litter the streets and sidewalks before the cleaners get started.

There's no concern about safety in the hotel however. They close all gates except for the main entrance gate to keep the party out of the hotel.

If you want to be right in the middle of the busiest part of Shinjuku this hotel is a good option.

The Godzilla viewing platform was closed and that made the stay less appealing. Overall the location is great, the property is nice, access is easy, rooms are clean. I was able to check in around 45 minutes early without any issue or fees. Good for a short stay.

Just an awesome hotel…if you want to stay in Shinjuku, you are in the heart of the action and no matter where you go you can’t always find your hotel!! Just look for the Godzilla!! Rooms were incredibly clean and quite large based on the location. The Airport Limousine bus is literally at the tower across the street.

Wonderful hotel right in the middle of the Shinju district of Tokyo. The accommodations can bury in size. So you may want to get an upgrade to have more room. We had a small room and did just fine. Everything is up-to-date and clean and the staff is wonderful. I would definitely stay there again.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here. Great service and fantastic location to the Shinjuku station. Rooms are very clean. They’re very small, but that is typical in Japan. Overall, I recommend staying here.

I choose this hotel for two reason: location and five star reviews. So I was so surprised to see very thin dingy yellow old down comforter in the room. Bed was too firm for me to sleep comfortably. After checking taxi was at hotel ready to drive you to airport that was plus.

This hotel was perfectly located within a five minute walk from Shinjuku station right in the heart of the Kabukicho area. The staff were friendly and helpful and the amenities on the first floor of the building were perfect. Very bustling area but rooms were quiet so you couldn’t tell . The shower was one of my favorite parts as well. Very nice overall

My son absolutely loved the Godzilla theme—it made our stay unforgettable! The location is unbeatable and incredibly convenient, surrounded by tons of restaurants, convenience stores, shops, arcades, and even a cinema. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, and the elevators were sufficient and efficient. The rooms are a bit small, but the shower and bathtub are fantastic. Overall, it was a fun and memorable Tokyo experience for families.

The location for Hotel Gracery was very convenient. You are walking distance to the subway and to places of interest. The comfort double room is small so I would definitely get at comfort twin room for more room. I would definitely request more pillows and blanket.

Location for return to Narita airport is perfect, 2 minutes walk from limousine bus station. But way too crowded area to stay, also it is a 10 minutes walk from subway station.
Elevator up 8 floor to reception made the first day arrival a bit challenging. I will choice other area next time.

Overall its a great hotel. This is my second time staying here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Its really close to shinjuku station. However it is in kabukicho so be prepared for crowds and a lot of police/security on friday, saturday, and sunday night. Another thing is i have been to other hotels that give a lot more amenities than this hotel.

Room was great, comfortable bed, great bathroom, nice lobby, water refill was super handy. Quiet when you are in your room. We enjoyed our stay here but it is like staying right on the Vegas strip.. so if you are looking for nightlife this is a great place. I found for the most part most of our itinerary was actually far away from here so this wouldn’t be my top pick again but it is a great spot and a nice hotel. Overall the staff were good but the one night the front desk wouldn’t help me find dinner. They went and checked in the back if they were allowed and came back and said no. So that was a bit strange.

The staff enter the room to delivery fresh towels even if you’re in the room which felt strange. The staff are very respectful and friendly. I recommend the hotel and would stay again.

The hotel is located in Shinjuku, which is very convenient for shopping. It’s also not too far from Shinjuku Station, making it easy to get to other parts of Tokyo. There are many restaurants downstairs, and they stay open late. The room is not very big, but it’s quite good by Tokyo standards.

Godzilla is their attraction. Near to lots of resto and the famous Don Quixote..Its funny but we always get lost going back to our hotel and the people does not seem to know our hotel.Its a big city- too crowded.

The rooms are very small but we had super comfortable sleeps. We fit 2 full sized suitcases (one we used and kept out on the table/couch), one we put at foot of bed to fill with purchases. We also bad 2 carry on bags (put at foot of bed) and 2 backpacks - also put on mini couch. We were surprised at how comfortable the stay was with minimal space. The bathroom is huge and shower was great - excellent pressure - big! The tub is really big and the water stays super hot 🔥 Check in and out were SO fast and hotel stored luggage for us as flight didn't leave for a while. When you don't get the room cleaned, they leave fresh towels in a bag on the door handle. Location could not be better. Everyone makes at least 2 stops a day at the 7-11 on the bottom floor. Loved it here and would 100% stay again. The area is not sketchy - just a few drunk teenagers. No touts bothered my husband or I. He is 6 foot 2 and also had a comfortable stay. Very convenient. Very nice place. Thank you!

Very nice location. Not a five star hotel but comfortable enough. We stayed her mostly for the convenience of being near the station, food, shops and the heart of shinjuku. Rooms could be updated but we didn’t spend a lot of time in the rooms. Bathrooms are nice and updated. Would stay again.

Not worth the money spent.. they advertise it as if they have a true Godzilla theme but they really don’t. You can’t get near the Godzilla head since it’s not permitted to go on the deck and they have no English channels or streaming services available to even watch a Godzilla movie.. I would not recommend given there are so many other options around

Rooms are small but clean and modern Unfortunately staff at this hotel are poorly trained and unorganized arguing with one another and barking orders at guests. Noone seems to be able to answer questions or solve problems and there is a general sense of confusion. As a result I would not recommend

Clean rooms with amazing views if you can get high floor. Would definitely recommend asking for room facing away from shinjuku train station as the noise is quite loud, even on high floor (stayed on 28). Soak-in tub and beds are great!

We did not pay for the breakfast. The hotel is modern, has a hip feel to it and the location is unbeatable. Amenities we used: coin laundry, luggage transfer service (not part of the hotel).
I wish there were better small things that would make our stay (with 2 little kids) more memorable: bottle of water, some kid activity welcome gift/snack, honestly a coloring sheet would do it, but there wasn't anything like that. It would be a nice touch.
Everything else was fine, clean, small room, amazing views... Just that one little thing that makes you go...awww that's nice!

Stanford decently friendly, though clearly overwhelmed by the crowds. Make sure you leave time for check in, because the entire lobby fills. The rooms were a bit worn and dated. The TVs were old and had only a few channel options and no streaming apps. Bathrooms were decent, though the toilet paper is so thin you can see through it and seems ridiculous for an expensive hotel like Gracery. The Godzilla balcony was also closed, so their one big attraction was inaccessible. Overall, I would spend similar money for a better experience elsewhere.

The shared areas are lovely, giving the impression that it is a nice establishment. However the rooms themselves are not to the same standard. For the most part the rooms are fine but they are dated. The bed is very hard and the pillows are horrible. Bathroom is nice.

I was told that the would insist on making up the room up every 3 days minimum. However when I booked in a time all they did was take out the trash.

None of this was a big issue. Overall the stay was pleasant, the staff was nice and helpful.

I would probably not stay in this part of Tokyo again though, and definitely not if I had kids with me.

The hotel is a great location. Bus from airport stops only 1 block from hotel. Beware the shower area includes a Japanese style. Have to work out the shower in the bathtub.
Only bbc news English Channel.
There is a Macas and a English pub nearby for cheap eats.

It looped every evening for the entire stay and while not the fault of the hotel I would have liked to be notified there was external noise in my booking
