The rooms are small as expected for Tokyo. It was clean, easily accessible, welcoming. The only complaint was the temperature-The entire building system is set the same (either heating or cooling depending on the season). The heat was on when we arrived in the room. The staff provided a small fan which was helpful. It took over 24 hours for the room to cool once the heat was turned off. Once the room cooled, it was too cold.

Fantastic stay at this hotel! Staff was so kind and helpful and amazing. Simple check in and out. Super clean room with everything you need even if it's not the largest. Close to absolutely everything in one of the best spots in Tokyo. My only complaint is that there was no AC but they did give me a fan. Not sure if there is AC in the summer since there was an AC thermostat but maybe because it is still winter time they don't turn it on? But overall, amazing and will definitely stay there again.

They allowed me to store my luggage, as my flight was in the late evening. They even switch the escalator backwards to allow me to return back down to ground level. (there's only one escalator), no elevator to my known eye.

We also liked that it was just a little away from the tourist center so a bit quieter but still near so much. I spent an hour and a half trying to dry my clothes, but they were still damp afterward. I used the laundry twice, and both times I faced the same problem. This was a bit disappointing.
Overall, my experience was positive, but I hope the laundry facilities can be improved in the future.

I stayed with WPU for 2N. Everything is excellent. Staffs are friendly and helpful. The only problem with me is the AC. It turns to be heater from central and unable to switch to AC. It was too stuffy and hard to breathe for me. However, a female staff was help me to open a window and offered me a fan 🙏 Thank you very much. I recommended WPU Hotel.

First, I have to say, I have a very sensitive nose. And I cannot tell you how awful the smell was and not just upon entering the lobby, but throughout the different floors and even the rooms. We stayed on the 4th floor, tested the 6th and 8th floors. All floors had the same sickly smell. They run some type of air purifier on every floor right by the elevators. So, I think they are aware but cannot do much about it. I tried to get something similar for the room and they said they would run it in the rooms but couldn't really leave it. I think it permeates from the burger joint below and the ventilation is just non existent. The smell is ingrained in the carpet and every nook and cranny. We got some relief when the burger joint was closed for 2 days for New Years. But again because it is ingrained, the smell never really goes away. I had to continually spray air freshner for some temporary relief. The room is small, dark, and the carpet had various stains. This was the last hotel at the end of our vacation. And only 1 reviewer mentioned a smell. I am sooo sad and wished I had know beforehand because it really soured the last few days of our stay. And I gotta say, for the price, it is better to stay somewhere else.

The staff at WPU Hotel Shinjuku are super friendly and accommodating. Due to a previous issue, I was given an upgrade to my room, which I very much appreciated. Rooms are clean, amenities (face cream, shaver, loofa, etc.) were all welcome additions to my body care regimen! Also, the craft beer selection at the WPU Cafe is excellent.

Free continental breakfast and a complimentary drink at the attached bar were included. The room was clean and comfortable, although you are in the middle of Shinjuku, so expect city noise. The best feature is the location - just outside Shinjuku station, across the street from Omoide Yokocho, and walking distance to everything!

Second time staying at WPÜ this year. Great location, welcoming and helpful staff, clean room, complimentary breakfast (pastries, coffee and juices), late checkout available, not too far from the Kabukicho Tower Narita/Haneda airport shuttle bus (5 to 10 minute walk) which is practical as taking the subway with luggage can be a bit of a pain... The only thing I would recommend is to change or fix the laundry room dryers, but I will definitely book it again next time.

The room we stayed in was big enough. The complementary tea / coffee / juice & toast & pastries was a nice surprise. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel is very centrally located to everything Shinjuku offers, shopping , dining and also close to the Shinjuku train station.
The only thing that went wrong was the Alarms went off at 2.30 am one night, an announcement came through the rooms, we are presuming it was saying to evacuate. But unfortunately it wasnt announced in English.
As it turned out - it was a false alarm but there were no English announcements at all.
For a hotel that has allot of international tourists staying there, I would have thought announcing in English should have happened.

I stayed here for 13 nights as a solo traveller and it was the perfect base for my trip. The location was perfect for me, only a short walk to Shinjuku Station, which made it easy to head out, explore different parts of Tokyo, come back to rest, then go out again.
The area has everything close by was really convenient. Rooms were comfortable, staff were helpful, and overall it made my stay in Tokyo smooth and enjoyable.

I was checked-in by Saku-san who was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and cozy, perfect for solo travellers. The rooms are fairly quiet and you have full control of the temperature. You may have to leave your room for coffee and amenities so if you’re an anti-social gremlin, maybe go to the Fairmont or something. However, I would highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel had a great location - close to Shinjuku station, shopping, and plenty of restaurants. The room was small but clean. Bed was a bit hard and bathroom was quite small but was everything we needed. Staff were helpful and nice. Our room was right above their \"concert\" area so you could hear singing but it was quieted down before 10pm so was quiet to sleep. Breakfast included was limited but nice to have.

Easy to find hotel in Shinjuku (once you make it out of the train station!) Good access to transport and good places to eat nearby. Hotel rooms are a good size for Tokyo with good air con, clean, comfy beds and facilities. Would definitely stay here again when next in Shinjuku.
