We had a lovely stay at Kanazawa Zoushi! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, including a drying function in the shower area that helped us dry off our damp clothes and shoes from the rain (genius idea!). The breakfast each morning was delicious and filling, perfect to start our day of activities. Our food allergies were accommodated as well (we greatly appreciated that!).

The hotel also is in a great location - close to Omicho Market and the train station, and within walking distance to the tea district, Samurai district, Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen gardens (but also on the bus loop if you don't want to walk all the time - very easy to get around)..

I easily would have given the hotel 5 stars, but I had to deduct one star since we lost hot water to both our rooms the last couple of days; we were able to move to only one other room and so our sons in the other room had to use our shower on the last day. While inconvenient, the staff was great about moving our luggage for us.

All in all, we highly recommend Hotel Kanazawa Zoushi!

The staff were very friendly. The hotel had great amenities. We stayed 7 days and it was very nice and quiet. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location was the best as we were just 5 min from the train station and about 8 min to all the restaurants. I will definitely recommend and will stay again.

Loved the location and comfort, although mattresses shifted on the bed. Coffee station could have opened earlier. Also, although we were gone during most of the day each day, our room was not tended by the time we returned in the late afternoon. The staff did drop off towels and robes. Great storage for our things, outstanding bathing amenities. Did not use laundry. Restaurant was very good.

My favorite place to stay in Tokyo. Fantastic location close to lots of great restaurants, easy access to the subway, and a bit of thriving nightlife and peaceful neighborhoods nearby. Friendly staff, great rooms and amenities. Will book again and again when I'm in Japan.

I liked staying at the hotel because it had wonderful amenities such a Refa hair dryer, a steamer, laundry service, and even a laundry facility. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. The hotel was also close to the Shinjuku station and we were able to easily walk to it and gained easy access to all the sites we wanted to see. The property was very clean and the area was safe. Would stay here again.

Great location with entrances to Shinjuku station just a block away, shopping and restaurants galore within walking distance, and combini two doors away. The hotel was very clean and the staff super helpful with luggage storage and lending umbrellas on a rainy day. Rooms are average size for Japan standards. Limited amenities but matched our needs. We would definitely love to stay there again in the future.

Rooms are quite small (pictures make it look bigger). Hair dryer is not powerful. Mold on bathroom door hinges so hotel requires maintenance. Cleaning (including bed making) has to be requested daily which is an inconvenience. Water has to also be self arranged by a jug in the room which is not ideal or convenient especially if the room is away from the lifts. Shower head cannot be adjusted so have to bend to shower. Overall, good stay for convenience next to shinjuku station. Otherwise, overpriced for the product/service. Service is okay as most staff do not speak much English.

This hotel is extremely convenient to walking around Shinjuku. You can walk to a lot of things, but it’s on a very sketchy street. My 17-year-old daughter and I were confronted by some drunk locals on the street and put in a very bad situation. When we approached the hotel staff and ask them to do something about it they refused. They refused to get involved and even when we did our best to offer translation just really didn’t care at all. For the price it’s not worth it, our Airbnbs for the beginning of that trip were as convenient and the hosts were very helpful. I would not recommend this hotel to travelers from the United States.

The staff were extremely helpful and the location was excellent. The only problem we ran into was with this hotel, you have to leave your key in the room in order to have electricity so if we left for the day and wanted to charge our devices while we were gone, we had to get an extra room key. The staff were very accommodating with this request though.

The location of this hotel is amazing , it is 5 min from Shinjuku station . It is one best areas to stay as there is a Lawson store next door and many eating places .
The staff is extremely helpful and polite .
The toiletries in the bathroom are superior quality and the linen is the best .
The room sizes are small as expected in a Tokyo hotel , but it’s manageable

Hotel is centrally located in shinjuku and breakfast’s quality and spread is one of the best we have experienced. You can tell the chef and staff puts a lot of effort into the preparation. Hotel is beautiful and very quiet as it is away from the Main Street. Staff are amazingly helpful. Queen size room is abit tight if you have luggages but good enough for exploration around Tokyo.

Very nice hotel with easy access to Shinjuku Station, 5-7min walk depending on entrance used. Best to use Shinjuku South Gate entrance and exit. That's the closest to the hotel. Lots of shopping and there is an Onitsuka Tiger on the East entrance that is busy but not as busy as the Ginza store. Our room was bigger than expected after reading all the comments of how tiny hotel rooms are. Very spacious for two sisters travelling with a great city view. We had double twin room and we opted for housekeeping everyday so we could have bins emptied and fresh clean towels. Didnt eat in the hotel as we wanted to explore breakfast areas around. Looked at the dinner menu but there were better options outside for what we wanted to eat. Nothing wrong with the dinner menu it just wasn't our preferred meal options.
Great there was a washing machine on our 14th floor however it was always busy so never got to actually use it. Woukd have loved to if there was a second or third machine. Might be best to try it first thing in the morning. Vending machine was well stocked and a microwave to heat up quick meals on one of the days we didn’t go out for dinner and picked up a 7-Eleven meal. Staff very friendly even loaned me an umbrella on one of the rainy evening.
Overall very good hotel stay and I would stay again. Higher recommend.

Breakfast was great, I would say it really does cater for everyone. Lovely fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, bread, traditional Japanese, coffee, tea etc.
Washing machines, dryers and microwaves are something that I didn’t expect and which came in very useful. We had a standard double room, shower was wonderful, and all you could need was available, shaver, shaving cream, face wash, bath salts, on top of the normal body wash and shampoo etc. TV which we were able to stream too, phone and safe. It wasn’t a big room, in fact it was quite small, but it was workable and was in a fantastic location. I would definitely stay here again.

The servicing of the room was strange and I would have preferrred to have my bed made every day than my towels/nightwear (that I hardly used).

It would also have been nice to have an area where you could have a coffee or a wine other than just the restaurant. Th3 lobby area just seemed like it was for meeting and storage.

The room was very clean and good. The staff were very helpful with all our needs. They called taxis for us and wrote our destination on a card in Japanese. That helped us a lot. The hotel is in a good area of the city to get to all the sites.
