Location is near to many eateries and linkages to Shinjuku station. 15 mins walk to Shinjuku Station and Express Bus Terminal. Rooms are small. The room was stuffy and aircon central control. Needed a fan to ventilate the room.

I was taken aback by a staff member, who was unusually unfriendly, though I would not say she was rude. Perhaps I got spoiled by staff members at other Japanese hotels, who were extremely cuorteous and friendly. My room was quite cold. A better heating system would be helpful. Also, the betteries were dead in the TV remote control. I understand these things happen, but checking it from time to time would be helpful.

Rooms are so small, you have more room on a basic cruise ship. My son is 5’10 and had to sit in the shower to wash his hair. No one interacts with you and check in is cold and no one gives you a welcoming feeling or guide to the hotel. Would not recommend.

We were so happy we chose to stay in shinjuku at the start of our trip! Walkable to the train station and the convenience of having a family mart right on the first floor was so convenient! The rooms were a bit tight but to be expected! We have some of the best memories in this area of our trip. Super easy to walk to the train station, grab a bite or go downtown to explore shinjuku!!

The good parts:
The front desk staff were very helpful when I needed to call the airline on a local Japanese telephone number, allowing me to use the front desk phone without charge.
The location is convenient for this price point. There is an underground passageway from Shinjuku station straight to the hotel, open until 23:00. (Though difficult to find, looking for the entrance to the Shinjuku subway line should put you in the right tunnel)
There are convenience stores and restaurants in the same building.
Not so great stuff:
The rooms are small, even by Tokyo standards the space to move around the bed is tight.
The rooms are not even slightly sound proof. It sounds like they put up standard stud walls with simple plasterboard. You can hear people in other rooms talking, snoring and banging around.
They give you ONE low quality pillow upon checkin. You want more pillows? They put a small amount more in the corridor each day for first come first served. Reception simply tells you to check there.
The TV is the worst hotel TV I have seen in a long time.
The toilet is unnecessarily LOUD! Sit down? LOUD. Flush? LOUD. Refilling the tank? LOUD. I have never come across a toilet this unnecessarily loud.
The provide one medium sized towel and one hand towel. You can put a sign on the door to just provide a new set. But they will come in after 3 days, clean and remove any extras.
The laundry room is far too small for this size if hotel. It needs to be twice the size.

For starts, hotel is both smoking and non smoking, but even the smoking floors reek of cigarettes. We stayed on a “renovated” floor, but unsure what was considered renovated as the rooms were dated and the hallways stained.

As far as the room goes, while it was small, it did have more room than other hotels we’ve stayed at in Shinjuku, but that’s where the positives end. The furniture in the room was stained and grimy, the carpet was greasy (to the point where we felt gross even wearing the disposable slippers), there was gunk and goo covering the walls, mold in the bathroom, and the whole room had the feeling of being on a low budget cruise ship or mobile home. The AC is very dated with “high, medium, low” being the only options. Luckily we stayed in the winter so the weather was on our side, however we were still hot when running on “high” some of the nights so I can’t even imaging how the summer is.

Low amenities compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at in the area (even though the price did not reflect that) and very understaffed - the check in and check out process took nearly an hour each. The staff were kind and helpful to the extent they could be.

For location, the hotel is located in what seems to be a half abandoned shopping mall that’s very dated and confusing to get around.

Some of these items might have not been a deal breaker had the price reflected the condition better, but at nearly $200 a night for an off-season rate, we were massively disappointed.

Do not stay at this hotel!

I wasn’t expecting enormous hotel rooms or full amenities going into the stay near Shinjuku. However, this was beyond terrible and I had to write a review.

First the room itself is claustrophobic nightmare with twin bed that barely fits. There’s enough space to walk sideways between the bed and wall. If you have a suitcase, good luck opening it without hitting a wall. This is evidence with black marks on the wall. The size itself is enough to run away.

I stayed with my infant daughter in that room. And even worse, the heat was so intolerable in that room. It was 60% humidity with 27C. My daughter cried because of the heat. I complained to the desk, but I only received a Dyson fan for my troubles. This didn’t help at all.
We barely made it out of this hotel.

It’s a health hazard and with unhelpful staff. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Shinjuku, don’t suffer through this one. Find anything else and don’t look back.

Hotel is in a great location and is one of the limousine bus stops from Narita airport which is really convenient and is one of the reasons I booked this hotel. It is close to Shinjuku station and is on the quiet side. The room is clean and spacious enough for a solo traveler. Great amenities and laundry facilities. Staff are great as well and helped me out with luggage forwarding to my next hotel. I would suggest to book with breakfast as it was really good with lots of options and with a great view from the top, I decided to buy a voucher for 1 day but I should have added it in the first place. There is Lawson and Family Mart on the lower levels plus a 7-11 and Ministop just outside the hotel. Some attractions like the Tokyo Metropolitan building and Meiji Jingu Shrine are walkable as well.

Check-in process was pretty bad. No signs on lines. And the whole lobby is just filled with traveler even 2 hours after the check-in time. The room were no cleaned properly, probably due to low power vacuum. I step on some screws upon entering the room. The equipment were also quite old. There are no way to adjust the temperature in the room and the humidifier were quite old and inefficient.

Our experience at this hotel was unfortunately below expectations. The check-in process was chaotic and poorly managed, with long waits and little organisation, which made for a stressful start to our stay.

The room itself was very small and felt cramped, with limited space to move around or store luggage comfortably. While we understand that rooms in Tokyo can be compact, this felt particularly tight.

Breakfast was another disappointment. The buffet area was too small for the number of guests, often crowded, and the selection was quite limited. For the price and size of the hotel, we expected more variety and better management of the breakfast service.

The location was reasonable — not far from Shinjuku Station and the Godzilla Head — but it was still about a 30-minute walk to many restaurants, which was less convenient than anticipated.

Overall, the stay did not meet our expectations, and we were hoping for a more comfortable and better-organised experience.

Pros: The amenities were all very good, and the location is very convenient. There are many konbinis around (including one inside the building on the 1st floor), there's a free luggage storage area, laundry room, ATM, and restaurants. The room cleaning staff was also very nice and thorough. My room had an excellent view of the city, which was one of my favorite aspects of staying here.

Cons: The room was overall very clean, but just had a lot of dust when I first arrived. It seemed like no one had stayed in the room for a while. My main complain is the dust (there was also construction happening when I was there, so maybe that added to the dust). The bathrooms could also be newer.

Overall, I would consider staying at this hotel again. Felt very safe for a solo traveler.

My stay at this hotel was fine but there was one major issue that made this hotel uncomfortable- it was too hot! It’s January and I understand the heat needs to be on, but the temperature in the room was so hot and it could not be changed apparently. I did not have control of a thermostat and there were two fans in the room that I had running constantly to try to get the air moving. Even the hallway was too warm and the windows do not open, making me feel very claustrophobic at times since there was no relief from the heat. The only thing the staff did do was send up frozen blocks to put in the cooler fan but it didn’t really help at all. I didn’t take temperature to measure it but suffice to say we are from Mexico and used to the heat and it was hot even for us. The room was probably 78 degrees Fahrenheit at least or maybe 25-26 Celsius, just an estimate based on how it felt, although very dry warmth. We only stayed here 2 nights so I didn’t really bother to try to switch rooms or go any further than just getting assistance with the fans. But the whole floor was hot, we stayed on the 17th floor. The common areas were totally fine though! No problem with air temp anywhere else but the room and hallway.
Besides that, the rest of the hotel was wonderful- breakfast buffet is excellent, very central location, and lots of restaurants available nearby.
Sorry to say, I will not book here again simply because of the temperature situation.
