There’s a wide range of amenities here. The location for experiencing Shinjuku is excellent and an easy walk with suitcases to and from the station.
Breakfast was great - quite an experience if you only do it once. Otherwise breakfast is easy to find at nearby shops.
Air conditioning was easy to work and very quiet. Definitely worth booking a twin room if you can for the extra space.

Hotel in general very good. Excellent service by the staff, very polite and helpful. Room was tight. Familiy market on the first floor with snacks and drinks. Location very convenient waking distance for tour stops and government building to see the city from the top for free. Shinjuku train station 10 minutes walk. A lot of shopping around. Airport-hotel limousine bus very convenient direct in both ways.

The rooms were a bit smaller than I anticipated but I think thats just a Japan thing, otherwise it was great. Felt really safe there, it was a good location, lots of eating options within the hotel, family mart on site 24/7, super clean. Would stay again.

I was in an economy room for two, and it was a tight room but with that being said, I enjoyed my stay, bed was comfy and room was always fresh, staff was very helpful and helped me anytime I needed my room clean. I recommend this hotel it is in a perfect spot, short walk to the heart of Shinjuku and the station so you can go anywhere.

On the 3rd trip to Tokyo, this is becoming my go-to hotel in the city. Love the location and how neat, clean and functionally smart the room is. The convenient stores at the groud floor and B1 are super helpful. And there is an undergroud pathway connected to the subway (it's super long though).

cannot change room tempeture, you can only adjust the fan speed. Cleaning time is pretty load . Like most Japanese hotels room is small there no space to open up your suitcase and keep it open . I had to set my suitcase on the small coffee table .

There's a laundry mat which was pretty much open when I was there. 3 or 4 mini stores on the property and maybe 10 restaurant on the 1st floor . It's a good 10 min walk to Shinjuku station , but the plus is Washington Hotel is connected to Shinjuku Station by an under ground walk way which is convenient when its raining

The hotel is pricey considering its size and location. We do not quite enjoy our stay here for the following reasons:
1) room is so small, it can only fit one large luggage
2) nearest train station is 500m away
3) not near main shopping street
4) hotel is old
5) bed is uncomfortable with only one miserable pillow
6) staff is not attentive
7) self check in machines are slow and not working well
8) room is not clean as we have items left by previous guests on the table

We are unlikely to stay here again.

The location was fantastic. There’s a bus from the airport that stops right outside the hotel. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. The staff were also very helpful.

The hotel is in a convenient area of Shinjuku with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean. However, the room was quite small, making it difficult to fully open large luggage. The room also felt a bit dated, and the portable AC unit wasn't powerful enough to keep the room comfortably cool. While the location is good, it's not quite as close to the train station as we expected, so be prepared for a 15-20 minutes walk. Overall, it was a good stay for the price and location.

Air conditioning not the greatest and some of the triple occupancy rooms might be right by elevator shaft so it gets noisy. We asked for an immediate room change the next day and they accommodated our request. Family Mart and Lawson convenience stores right in the hotel building itself so makes it convenient to get something to eat, drinks, or snacks. They give free personal items for youbto get yourself at front desk lobby such as toothbrush w/ toothpaste, comb, cotton swabs, face wash, face masks, eye mask for darkness when sleeping, ear plugs, and more. Check in and check out was easy. They have self serve area to lock and store your luggage for a day or more.

Although the staff were polite, they were not very helpful. We arrived late in the evening and had to stand around for a significant period of time before anyone came to help. They had many free toiletries available which we only found out on day two were available to all visitors. Given it was our first trip to Japan, it would have been nice to be better supported.

Staff were nice and let me store bag after check out. The luggage storage fills up quickly in morning so be quick if you want to lock and secure your bag.

The location is convenient, about 10 mins walk to the largest transportation station and tourists area.

Great location near the station. Check in was not as friendly as other hotels in Japan, partly due to the use of tablets and a self checkin style approach . Reception was very unhelpful with organising our luggage to be delivered to our next hotel, providing only the bare essential information and we had to fill out the Japanese form ourselves and contact the recieving hotel ourselves which was poor compared to other hotels later on our trip. Also the room was tiny. Not recommended

The room was pretty big for us 3 pax though the toilet was abit small which was expected The location is good too, near to many restaurants and Shinjuku Station. All of the staff were helpful and friendly except 1 female staff with pixie haircut and spectacles who was far from helpful. She was snappy and rude upon greeting us and we asked her politely whether the hotel has manual luggage weighing scale we could borrow, she kept cutting us off mid-sentence and pointing at the green exit signage, saying it's there it's there. We went there. It was near the luggage counter but there wasn't anyone to assist us nor was there any manual weighing scale. We did see a luggage weighing scale so we thought maybe she did not understand us. We went back to ask her again NICELY if the hotel had a manual one which we can borrow but she kept cutting us off and pointed at the same direction in a very unpleasant frustrated tone. If there isn't any, she could just reply nicely that they don't have it instead of kept cutting us mid-sentence and say THERE THERE. We work in service line and understand hotel staff sometimes encounter frustrating rude customers, but I think there should be a level of professionalism especially when your subsequent customers are not rude to you. Hence, minus 1 star. Overall, everything was great.

Far enough away from the noise of Shinjuku, close enough to Shinjuku train station that made it simple to get to anywhere you needed to go. Compareable room sizes to European hotels, comfy beds. Excellent breakfast with fantastic views! The only downfall was the laundry facilities. Only 5 washers and dryers on the main floor, for all the guests. They could try putting 3 sets of machines on every second floor perhaps? It was a fight to get a machine, on any given day. Other than that, all was good.

The rooms were tiny. The restroom was also tiny. The restrooms are a not ground level but elevated, not too sure how to describe it. Rooms are as basic as they come. For an iron you have to call front desk and pray someone returns one by the time you need it. XL twin bed rooms are good for 2 people, one on each bed.

The room is smaller than expected but we soon get use to it. The bathroom is so tiny and it's like a hurdle course going into the bathroom and into the bathtub.

Amenities are placed at the lobby so you can choose what you need during your stay... this is good as it reduces wastage.

Breakfast spread is good and generous and it is always crowded no matter what time you go.

Overall it is a good 5 night stay.

The location of the hotel was perfect, it is in the heart of Shinjuku and close to everything. In addition, the hotel has a limousine bus that goes directly to the airport. This was perfect considering that we were at the end of our trip. I would definitely book this hotel again for my future japan trips.

It’s was a good stay overall. Room were extremely small. We had to remove the heater and chair in the hallway just to fit our luggage in the room. Barely any floor space maybe suitable for a couple but not a couple with a child no space.

Very outdated room and old. Showers were like a crisis shower again no room for amenities.

The hotel reception is located in the mall building, 3rd floor. It’s honestly great because there’s a Lawson and family mart within the building opened 24/7. You can even walked Shinjuku station completely underground!! There’s also a bunch of restaurants in the hotel if you want a convenient option.

This hotel is extremely walkable to Shinjuku and easy to hop on the bus to Harajuku or Shibuya (20 min bus ride). The room was small but manageable if this is your first location you’re exploring. Definitely get a bigger room if you feel like you need the space to place all your shopping finds. The hotel staff are so friendly and welcoming!
