Nice hotel, well located, but breakfast was poor. Hotel patrons are offered cold cereal and some frozen items to take to their room for heating up in the microwave. It would be better not to offer breakfast at all. Thank goodness for the amenities in the neighbourhood. Local Denny’s offers a decent breakfast.

Perfect hotel for anyone looking for something affordable yet good quality! Rooms are quite small but you will find that at most Japan hotels. Washing machine/dryer in your room. Perfect distance from attractions, slightly quieter area which we loved after a long day in the busy areas. Would recommend!

It’s a popular hotel but basic rooms are very limited. Though, there is a washer/dryer and utensils, plates, chopsticks provided in the cabinet. Good if you want affordable stay, not good if you want to be in the heart of Shinjuku.

I appreciated the easy check in and out that this property offered, and the quieter (yet central) location in Nishi Shinjuku. There were great amenities nearby and located not far from the Nishi-Shinjuku station made transportation easy. We also appreciated the large and lively central park across the street. Lots of green space in the middle of a big city.

Pretty spacious room compared to other places we looked at. Love that it had a washer/dryer (It was pretty small but I am not sure if I'm just used to America's washers). The staff was super friendly and the room was clean! Only complaint I had was that I removed the pillow case to adjust it and the pillow underneath was a jump scare, super stained. Still would rate it overalls 5 stars since that was my only qualm.

Great hotel, the staff were great and it was conveniently located, only knocking one star off as the cleaning left a lot to be desired, hairs on the bed, limescale around the sink and I saw a cleaner in a customers room sat on the chair playing with her phone. Even after the weekly clean there was still marks in the bathroon that were there before we arrived.

This is our third visit to Tokyo and this was the best choice for hotel stay. The room is much more spacious, laundry in the room was a big plus. Easy transportation to bus and subways. Friendly and helpful staff and freshly ground coffee and espresso machine 24/7. Definitely would stay here again!

The hotel is situated in a quieter part of Shinjuku which we really liked. The room has all the amenities we need although it’s quite small. Staff service was excellent. Breakfast was frozen food that had to be microwaved, but was tasty especially the soup and Japanese option. There are food options and family marts nearby. From the hotel, we could either take the bus to Shinjuku west station or the subway. Overall happy with our stay and would stay there again.

Living in Canada, this room is small ,compact everything. Bed was comfortable but against 2 walls. Small micro wave and electric kettle. Cutlery desk used to cook your our breakfast that could be purchased at main desk. McDonald’s was right next door. Modern design. Washer/Dryer in room. Heated toilet seat / bidet was a delight. I would recommend this hotel to a couple or single travelers.

In room laundry is amazing. If you've ever stayed at another hotel with shared coin laundry and had to watch with hawk eyes for an open machine, you'll fully appreciate this. Rooms are compact (obviously) but slightly larger than what you'd find at APA. No under bed storage for check in size luggage (although there is some space down there). Depending on where you want to go in the city, you may have to do a transfer from the nearest subway station which is about a 6 minute walk away, but that is worth the lower nightly rate than being closer to Shinjuku proper in my opinion. Staff are english friendly so that is also a huge plus. Overall, would be happy to stay here again on my next Japan trip.

Great location near the government building a short walk to Shinjuku station/shopping area. Located in a quieter area near a park with easy access to subway, restaurants, and convenience stores; further away from the hustle and bustle of the Shinjuku Station area, but close enough for easy access if desired. WiFi was great, staff was friendly and helpful, and they stored our luggage after checkout without a fee. Nice feature to have a washer/dryer combo in the room; room had mini refrigerator w/freezer section, microwave, large TV. Will have to pay small fee for cleaning unless you stay for a longer period, but they do replenish towels daily if requested. Rooms are typical smaller, but very functional. Enjoyed the stay.

We chose this hotel because of its location to the Tokyo Marathon start line, which was about a 15-minute walk away. The hotel is also located near some great basic restaurants, an incredible park, and numerous subway lines. We would stay here again.

My only concern was the lack of storage space in the room. There was no closet or drawers available to store clothes, which made it a little inconvenient during the stay.

The room had a view of just electrical lines and there was a lot of noise within the walls at night. The smell from the bathroom was horrid but after you shower, it goes away for a bit and then it returns after 5 minutes. Atleast they provide free 24/7 coffee in the lobby, toothbrush, toothpaste and etc. Good walking distance from the shopping districts and close to a bunch of convenience stores, pharmacies, food chains and basically everything you may need.

The comfort double room was tight like most Tokyo hotels are but it was clean with good amenities. Front desk staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. They have luggage storage on site. Hotel was close to a subway station. Plenty of 7-11 and Family marts nearby. It is located in a quiet area away from the noise of Shinjuku.

We were in residence double room. It is a lot bigger than the comfort double room. There is space to open your luggage. We also had a small kitchenette and a washer/dryer in the unit. These were very useful. The hotel is close to the metro station. It is also walking distance to Shinjuku. There are several convenience stores and restaurants nearby. Neighborhood was quiet. Staff were very friendly. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Unusually, there isnt daily housekeeping, which wasnr a problem for us.

Rooms are tiny and the bed is quite uncomfortable, very very hard, I like a firm mattress, but this was too hard. Tiny rooms, but you expect that in Tokyo. Washing machine was useful, but I never figured out how to just dry clothes. There was a strange noise in room 901, like a constant dripping and or whooshing sound. Free coffee downstairs and plenty of amenities. Breakfast you have to cook and prepare yourself in the room, which given the room size, can be a challenge. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the main Tokyo downtown area, with Godzilla and big cat.

I had a great stay at Tokyu Stay Nishi-Shinjuku! The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I needed, even a washer and microwave, which were super convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect, close to the subway, restaurants, and shops but still quiet at night. Excellent value for money. I’d definitely stay here again!

Very surprised how smelly and dirty the room was when I checked in. There was another guests long hair stuck to the shower wall. The bathroom smelled like poop the entire stay, even with the vent running continuously. The A/C unit had a nasty smell. The shower curtain was stained and sour smelling as well.

This is unacceptable considering this hotel was more of a premium price compared to similar in the area. Next time I visit Japan I will try the APA hotels instead.

The comfortable double room was perfect for me and my partner with our two big suitcases (though had to use the bed to use). Bathroom small but fine. Area good with food and public transportation close by. So handy having a washer/dryer, kettle and microwave. I would definitely stay again! Try the ramen near by (with pet goldfish at the front, near Indian restaurant) - you will not be disappointed.

We loved staying here although the room was small there was everything we needed, the rooms have a washing machine, and also provide the detergents. We also were able to borrow some scales to weigh our case, there was lots of toiletries and bits free that we could get in the reception, there’s a mc Donald’s right next door, lots of little shops to get essentials for the room and close by to the main town. We really enjoyed staying here and had everything possible we needed. Staff were were friendly and happy to help.

Some great places with Japanese food too. Hotel is close to metro station with connection to Shinjuku station. Luggage transfer also super easy and available in the hotel.

Small toom (typical of tokyo hotels) but very cozy. Great staff! Amazing amenities. Includes daily breakfast of rice, cup of (instant) soup, bottled water, ham abd cheese sandwich, cereal, coffee and tea. Inside the room has refrigerator, microwave oven and washing/dryer machine (with laundry soap), air purifier/humidifier, utensils/plates/bowls. They also have free wi-fi, any toiletries you need like toothbrush and toothpaste, shaver/razor, q-tips, hair brush. Very clean room (no smell at all). Hotel is located near the subway train and bus stops (4 minute walk). Mc Donald's is just next door and a lot of convenient stores. I love this hotel! We stayed for 5 nights and we loved it! Housekeeping is not everyday and only by request but they will replenish your towels and if you need to change your bed sheets. We will definitely book this hotel again!

The room is pretty nice even though it is small-ish. The washer/drying machine is a +!
I don't mind not having the room cleaned because I don't like strangers comming into my room and look at all my personal belongings. The towel change system is perfect for me, just make sure to leave the sign on your door everyday.
However, the bed and pillows are really cheap and uncomfortable !!! My back and neck are hurting and I could not wait to go back home to my own bed...Also the noises IN and OUTSIDE the building are soooooo annoying at night...sirenes every single night at anytime at least 2-3 times per night...and the ac's or toilet/plumbing system's noises too...
This hotel shouldn't be considered a 4star hotel and definitely be cheaper than 200$/night.

Stayed at Tokyu Stay Nishi Shinjuku and overall had a really good experience. The location is super convenient—just a short walk to Shinjuku station and plenty of shops, food, and nightlife nearby. The room was clean, comfortable, and having the washer/dryer in the room was a big bonus for a longer stay.

Only downside was that the room was on the smaller side (pretty normal for Tokyo) and the walls felt a bit thin at times, but nothing that ruined the stay. Staff were helpful and check-in was easy.

Great option if you want something practical and well-located in Shinjuku without breaking the budget.

Location is excellent but that’s just about the only thing good. We chose this because it had a washer dryer. We could’ve overlooked the cramped room but the no housekeeping thing is terrible. And even when we asked for limited housekeeping, the trash basket was left in the middle of the bathroom after being emptied and they didn’t take the other trash that was near the basket either. We stayed for 6 nights and struggled with trash and towels. Will not stay here again.
