Clean, yes. Description needs to be more accurate as to size. Tiny is understatement compared to normal hotel rooms. Can’t stuff second bed in a single twin bed room. Walk sideways between bed and wall to get around. For the price that was not expected.

The hotel was really easy to get to and not that far from the subway stop. The front staff were welcoming and made checking in a breeze. I stayed in a single room, which was typically sized for Japan. It had all the amenities that you would need, like a safe, refrigerator, kettle, USB charger, and blow dryer. The room and bathroom were clean and well stocked. I would definitely stay there again. The next time I go to Japan.

We wanted a refund and to move hotels they were extremely uncooperative and refused the refund. I have pictures of the black mold dirty rooms. Just do not stay here.

This hotel is conveniently located about 8 minute walk from the west exit of Shinjuku station. Many popular yakitori joints, ramen and convenience stores are within walking distance. My family felt safe walking back to the hotel around midnight. The staff spoke English, at least some basic levels and most of them were helpful except for one guy who had an attitude when I respectfully asked for assistance. As much as the hotel was convenient, the room was not only very small it had a weird stench. The entire 3 plus days we stayed, the room smelled so bad that we ended up spending most hours away from staying in the hotel. When I complained about this to the front desk, they changed the sheets, and yet the room still smelled like old socks. Later I found out from the cleaning staff that the hotel does not change the mattress coversheets. Then I realized it was the mattress itself. Even I smelled like crap after sleeping in that mattress. Also, the bathroom still smelled like urine even after cleaning. The entire experience spoiled our mood and started wondering if all the hypes about Japan being a clean and hospitable country was really true. Maybe it was just that location or maybe it was just the room. What I did not understand was the staff did not do enough to address our situation.
In addition, the room that was assigned to us was right across from a cemetery which was not mentioned at all on the hotel webs or Expedia website. Every time we looked out, we saw tombstones.

The panoramic triple room was great. Biggest room we had while in Japan and at an excellent value for Tokyo. Nice view, pretty quiet neighborhood but still very close to Shinjuku. And plenty of good food within 2 blocks 2 Family Marts within 2 blocks of the hotel. Staff was friendly and kind. Laundry room is open 24/7. They will watch your luggage for a bit. Didn't try the restaurant. But good hotel!

location is ok for price if you want cheap; you do need to walk a bit to get to the main Shinjuku station. We had a toddler along with a pram in the room and suitcases so even less space. Also the hotel is next door to a gravesite which we didn't know before booking. overall its ok for a cheap place, its clean has a microwave on 1 level and along with washing machine and dryer. 7/11 down one end of the street. very quiet street if thats what your after

There is an elevator on the street level for those who have difficulty carrying their luggage up the steps to the first floor reception area.

The staff here are brilliant, they are always smiling and greet you whenever you go by reception. I want to give a special mention and thank you to Koha who communicated so promptly and let us store out suitcases FOR FREE for 6 days whilst we then went to visit Kyoto, when we came back from Kyoto to check in for our reservation. This is beyond generous, I would give 6 stars if I could. We were scrambling for how we could securely store out luggage and the hotel just took care of everything. The rooms were clean, area is safe, great coffee and shops nearby too. The rooms can be a bit small when you have multiple suitcases but it's similar for the area so can't complain too much! Thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

The double bed was very comfortable! The pillows were hard and small - there were 4 pillows provided with two smaller ones and two hard memory foam pillows shaped to support the neck.
The bathroom was a tight fit but had everything needed including toothbrushes and hair-skin products and dryer. Anything else needed was provided at no extra charge!
The hotel was located close to so many attractions and the Shinjuku train station - this was a real perk! We didn’t spend much time in the room so we really only used it for sleeping and getting ready for the day.
External noise was noticeable to me - My room faced the park next door where young kids talked and laughed loudly all night during the week and early Sunday morning was met by loud drunk guys singing and laughing loudly at 5 am. The graveyard side might be quieter. :)
