The location of the hotel is in the center of Tokyo where it is a short walk or subway ride to all the famous tourist spots.
The staff is friendly and the amenities are great! I don't know if this is normal in Japan, but as an American, I really appreciated the free toothbrush and toothpaste! It's the little things!
Yes, the rooms are rather small, but they are clean and serve their main purpose = a place to keep your belongings and sleep. Trust me, there are so many things to do in Tokyo, you will likely spend most of the day exploring this mega city! Thank you APA hotel and staff! I will be back!

I enjoyed my stay at this location. The room and hotel areas were clean and well kept. The staff spoke English which was helpful, they were very accommodating and kind. The building is secure with a guard, you can only access the elevators with your room key. The location is perfect, right in the hub of Kobuchiko and the Cine City Square, close to multiple train stations. Rooms are typical for Japan, small but adequate. I recommend this hotel for your stay!

Location was really good for us first timers in Japan. Shinjuku is a city that never sleeps. I'm glad that we can't hear the noise from the outside from the 14th floor but the ventilation is horrendous. They have centralized air-conditioning which I never really felt during our stay. Not a single cold air on my skin, so had to go to bed sometimes covered in sweat because of the heat. Sometimes, it's cooler when you step outside the room, I even joked about maybe just sleeping on the hallway to get some good sleep. Other than that, everything else is actually okay. The rooms are tiny so packing up everything you bought will be a struggle but you'll work your way around it.

The best feature of the property was its location. The staff was helpful bit seemed they were understaffed. They said they could handle shipping our luggage to our next hotel in Osaka, but in the end distance the staff when needed. In the end they did walk us across the street to Yamote who handled the shipment.
Loved the fact you could cast programs from your phone since the only English channel was BBC.
Travelers with disability need to ask for a walkin shower if available because the deep soaking tubs were a challenge.
Rooms were only cleaned every three days, but there was a system to replace towels and refresh coffee.
My biggest complaint was the elevators were overwhelmed in the morning such that lower floors might not be able to depart for over 30 minutes.
The rooms were very small but efficient. There was adequate room under the bed for luggage
The bed was sideways against the window so it was difficult for me to crawl out of the bed in the middle of the night without disturbing my wife.

The location was convenient however, it is right in the middle of the red light district of Shinjuku. Lots of drunk people late at night and early mornings specially on weekends. The room was so tiny it is hard to move around specially if you have a lot of luggages (we only had 3). You’ll have all the basic things needed for a good sleep and stay in Tokyo though.

The room was clean and had a lot of amenities, however it was missing a USB plug for charging your phone.

The staff was not very friendly and there would be 4-5 of them behind the desk and would never ask if they could help you. I stood I front while they all talked to each other for about 5 min before I had to interrupt them.

Also, the elevators are incredibly slow so plan for that. Wish they had certain elevators for different series of floors.

I thought the cleaning staff would reset the room each day but we only received new towels which was appreciated. The pillows were quite uncomfortable and the room was incredibly smaller than other places I stayed throughout my trip. The hotel was close to the train and a few 7-elevens which was good but overall it was ok.

The staff were very helpful but the poor rating goes for the lack of sound proof conditions, small space, and a very poor location (which is my fault I should have researched the district more). If you’re in your 20s and want to party I guess it’s a good place but the 16 hour live concert and wind piercing into my closet size room was not it. I will say the staff are amazing and helpful, and they can’t help the location, I just wish I did more research.

The room layout causes problems compared to even smaller rooms in Japan. The bed consumes the entire width of the room, which means one partner needs to climb over the other when using the bathroom in the middle of the night. There's street noise (aka: \"music\") all night long. Literally 24/7 — pounding drums Thursday at 4 AM.

The bathroom is quite large, making the rest of the space smaller than you might expect (notwithstanding the bed is wedged in perfectly). The bathroom is elevated by about 8 inches; stepping in is fine, but coming out into the room always seemed awkward. My partner and I both independently agreed we felt we would fall on the floor or crash into the wall while exiting the bathroom. We leared to brace ourselves when exiting, but this is bad design for a room expected to be used short-term for first-timers.

The single-gender hot tubs are pretty nice on the top floor. Unfortunately, the outside one was closed, so I didn't get to check it out with the accompanying views from the 27th floor.

The elevators are a disaster. We were on the 22nd floor. Even at non-crowded times you can wait 3+ minutes for the elevator to arrive. You get in going down (already people in the elevator). Then it stops 10 times on the way down. After a while the elevator is completely full so it stops, nobody can get in, and then continues down to ground level. Reprogram to not stop using the fact that weight didn't change at previous stop when the doors opened.

Son muy pequeñas, el espacio de ellas es muy limitado, en especial si llevas maleta grande. En cuanto a limpieza está muy bien. El hotel se podría decir que está renovado y completo ya que tiene lavandería y spa. Lo único es que a pesar que cuenta con 4 elevadores, al parecer no todos funcionan siempre. En hora pico se batalla mucho para bajar/subir.
Su ubicación es muy buena, a unos pasos de donde se encuentra la famosa cabeza de Godzilla.
El personal es atento y siempre nos prestaban sombrillas, ya que casi a diario nos tocó lluvia.

The hotel is in a great location if you’re interested in a bit of night life. But for everything else I would skip it. The rooms are very small, not very clean and feel quite dated. The elevators get filled up during check out and could take 30mins before you can escape (no stairs). Unless you really NEED to stay here, don’t.

The location was cool, the rooms were TINY, th laundry was a JOKE with only one machine in the women’s onsen and 2 in the men’s (for the entire 28 floors)- and we stayed up super late to continue drying loads because the dryers were so bad. The rooms were dark, the bathrooms tiny also. AC was not in our control and with no windows to open or fan, it felt suffocating at times. Also made it so our room didn’t get air flow and smelled stuffy at times so we propped the windows open for some flow. All in all you get what you paid for.

First thing we noticed when entering the room was that it was incredibly noisy, even though we were on the 23rd floor. We quickly found out that the reason was that the window was not properly sealed. When applying pressure to it the sound was reduced. Called the reception and the answer was that all windows in the hotel are like this due to lack of maintenance and that switching room will not help. Noisy all night during both nights we stayed there. The room was quite dirty and dusty. Long wait time for elevators. The reception staff would not help us order a taxi when leaving. Probably worst hotel we have ever stayed in.

I checked in and literally left within 1 hour. There was blood and fluid on the walls and sheets. The room smelled like “rotten fish” and was smaller than a cruise cabin. Location is good for Shinjuku, but as a business traveler who has stayed at over 200 5 star hotels this is probably the worst hotel I’ve even attempted to stay in. The staff was friendly enough and refunded me 1 night, but I didn’t want to cause a scene! Will take it up with Expedia!

Hotel situe dans le quartier chaud de shinzuku pres de la tete de godzilla. Joint de vitre defaillant donc entre du froid et des bruits extérieur vraiment present tard la nuit. Attention aux heures piur ascenseur vite embouteillage. Dommage pas de wc a acceuil ni piece pour se changer avant depart. Attention si vous rendez la chambre apres 10h le jour du depart il vous en coutera 2.000 yen par heure dépassée. Point positif garde des bagages personnalisé avec qr code. Onsen bien et grand. Chambre correct en taille pour 2. Ne prenez jamais de chambre a 3 chez APA vaut mieux 2 chambres. Nous navons pas tester petit dejeuner il y a tt autour.

Perfect place if you want to be at the center of it all. Didn’t really use many of the amenities because we were just using the room to sleep then would get on with our day but it has everything you need. The beds are clean, they give you clean towels, Japanese robes, toiletries daily. Housekeeping comes every 2-3 days unless you request them to clean sooner than that. Overall a it’s great hotel for someone who just wants a clean place to stay at before tackling on your activities the next day

Súper small rooms but that’s very typical of Japan. Two people barely fit in one room and you will have to be creative about how you organize. Otherwise, if you just need a place to sleep, this is the place. It’s central to everything in Shinjuku including the train station. I would stay here again.

Theres a lot of restaurants, convenient stores, landmarks, stations and shuttle from and to the airport (not operated by APA hotel but a different company its literally across the hotel located at Hotel Kabukicho Tower so it saves time specially if you have big luggages.) staffs are friendly and very helpful. Free Onsen and nice view! 100/100 recommend this location if you love convenience. Note: not the biggest rooms, but thats normal in japan.
