Room was very small and had no view, just a view of a roof, so not much daylight. A bit disappointing as it was suppose to be a superior room but felt more like a cosy double. We have been staying here for many years and usually have a nice room. We had booked 2 rooms and both were the same.

Hi we always have a lovely stay at your hotel and I've given Google reviews to say so. I thought I would just mention though that this time our room was a let down. It was more of a cosy room than an executive. No where to put anything and my partner smashed his head twice. I would say it was more like the staffs quarters from years ago. I would recommend you just check the rooms description because apart from the towels nothing else was executive about it. But, we love your hotel and you know that I just wanted to give you some feedback.

This was our sixth visit to Oatlands Park and it didn't disappoint. We were upgraded to a Feature room, which was fabulous. The staff here are always lovely, from Reception, to the Bar, to the Restaurant, to Housekeeping - can't be faulted. On this visit we felt like we were the guests from hell, as we had to go to Reception four times to ask for assistance with various things but on every occasion the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. A special shout out to Tamara who served us at Breakfast and was an absolute delight! We wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Lovely comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities. Hotel staff friendly and professional. made us aware of events in the hotel(Christmas Party) but put us in a quiet room away from any disturbance.
Breakfast ,buffet style and topped up constantly by staff. Would like to have been offered tea rather than find staff to get tea but it wasn't a problem and staff happily got a pot of tea for us.
Would recommend staying at this hotel, lovely grounds and building.

There was plenty of parking available and all staff we encountered were friendly. However our room was not up to standard. The toilet had a loud drip, the floor boards were extremely creaky. We appreciate it is an old building but we were awoken to the guests in the room above us walking around and the noise kept us up. We could hear every foot step. The door wasn't sealed so we had a square of light illuminating our room. We were exhausted after a long busy day and didn't want to change room so late, but we expected better quality for the money paid.

Lovely entrance, however, the hotel was ridiculously hot (the bar area felt like a sauna). When I arrived in my room, it had been set at 25, which is far too hot for a bedroom. It took ages to come down to a reasonable heat.

I did say good morning to a member of staff, who just blanked me, but reception staff were exceptional.

The surroundings were beautiful. Was able to get an electric hook up without any trouble.

Would recommend this hotel, but only if something is done about the heat, as it really was uncomfortable, I’m afraid.

The room we were fst given was tiny not even a chair so I asked to upgrade which they did. The origins was just a double which I was surprised at as most are either king or bigger. We had to ask for the soap dispenser to be put in the room . We couldn’t lock the door on the first night so maintenance had to come the following day to amend.

Hotel is in a lovely location and the building is beautiful. Parking with the electric car was easy (need your own wire) done through an app and was 54p a kWh. Not sure of speed as left it on overnight. Check in was easy. We booked an executive twin room. Arrived at the room was nice to have bottled water (would be nicer with a small fridge so can be chilled). Room was quite small with the twin beds being close together. One bed had a mattress which was shorter than the base. They had tried to disguise it by pulling it away from the top and placing pillows only noticed when lay down and pillows went through the gap. The bathroom was nice but shower small and needed regrouting and the drain needed cleaning. A basic thing overlooked. Toiletries were from turkey would be a nice touch if they used someone local and larger bottles that are refilled rather than little disposable plastic ones. No choice of pillows but hotel was quiet and had a fairly decent sleep. Breakfast was a buffet style with a small continental or English cooked options. I did ask for a different fork as one provided was very small and a struggle with my arthritic hands but was told no. A simple request that should have been easy to fulfill especially as explained my reasoning. Needless to say went to check out. Advised of issues ( I had also messaged in evening and received no reply). Oh and there was quite a few ladybugs in the room. I googled apparently they are just looking for somewhere warm.

Lovely room, bed and pillows comfortable, tea and coffee and water in room is always appreciated. Didn’t like the shower over the bath, I find it difficult to climb over the side of a bath and no full length mirror in the room!
However a rather funky smell in the hotel just beyond the bar area which has been around for a few months which is rather unpleasant.

We arrived at the property on the 18th September PM. No one was their to open the door or great us. We was staying the night for my partners 50th Birthday so we had a few bags and a cake with us.
For a 4 star hotel I expected a greeting. Checkin was fine but no one offered to help with bags.

The room was in a bad state. The carpet wasn't laid probably, scuff marks on the walls, the hotel door didnt fit properly and light from corridor leaked in pretty bad. It was noisey from other guests 1am banging doors and loud talking.

We was booked in for dinner but their was no atmosphere, the menu choice was pretty poor and we walked to the high street in the end for dinner.

We went down to breakfast, tables weren't cleared, very messy. We wasn't lead to a table and told to sit anywhere. I expected to be served fresh coffee but it was from a machine. The food was cold, the cereal bar was a right mess.

We took our breakfast to the table with our coffee/juice. Both got up to get fruit, went back to our table and it was all gone. It was cleared before we started so had to start again.

I wouldn't say this is a 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star and very over priced.

Not convenient to Heathrow

Three nothings prevent me from giving this property higher scores.

First, I found the hotel by doing a search for hotels by Heathrow Airport. As the crow flies, yes, but it’s about a 30-minute drive. A London taxi wanted to charge by £100. Uber cost me about £55. On top of that, the hotel doesn’t offer shuttle bus service. This IS NOT the hotel for someone who wants a hotel near the airport.

Second, there were some unusual smells. Can’t explain them. They didn’t extend into my room.

Third, the room service menu was very lack luster.

On the positive side, it’s a beautiful looking hotel, although could use some sprucing up. The front desk staff was very nice.

We had a room that overlooked the service area on the roof, it was not pleasant, we went to reception and told them we were not happy with the room. We were told there were no rooms of the same, so we were upgraded to one of the best rooms in the hotel.

Enjoyed our stay at Oatlands and was allocated a quiet room as was requested.

Didn't feel however that the room was as good as the last time we stayed- the little touches like the shower cap etc etc in the bathroom were missing this time - though there was shampoo soap and bodywash.
As the room was on the top floor it was quite warm at night . The fan on the AC could not seemed to be turned down and so was too noisy to sleep with the AC on.

We had a comfortable stay for one night. The bed was very squishy and very comfortable. The en-suite was small which is not a problem but a shelf or sink with worktop would have been good as there was nowhere to put toiletries etc. A bit of a strange smell in the downstairs corridor but nothing that affected our stay. All good, nothing to complain about except the fire alarm which went off about 1.30am causing a bit of shock and panic. Lovely breakfast though which was just perfect.

There aren’t many good options in Weybridge for accommodation. We stayed at Oatlands for 8 nights - spread out over 2 visits during our uk stay.

Pro’s -
# kids loved the buffet breakfast

# Staff at the restaurant were excellent.

Con’s -
# reception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. On both check ins gave poor instructions on our rooms location and how many stairs to get to the rooms. We were travelling with 4 large suitcases plus 4 carry on bags and no lift at the hotel.

# The grounds of the hotel were very run down. No grass due to the hot summer, piles of dirt dumped near our room on the 2nd stay.

# terrible smells of bad drain and mould in main parts of the hotel. I noticed one diffuser to try to mask it but the smell hits you and is awful.

The executive room was lacking a few details such you would expect e.g. a fridge, safe and there was basic tea/coffee making facilities etc. The window glass was cracked and dirty, hidden behind a blind. The bed was comfortable, the towels not big and fluffy. The restaurant menu was limited and expensive. Breakfast items were only just acceptable and not of a particularly high standard. Service in restaurant only just acceptable. Reception staff were very helpful friendly and efficient.

They were also arguing about process of their tills which is not a good look in front of guests! I had no hairdryer in my room, and a lampshade by the bedside wasnt working only there for show, as there was no plug socket behind the bed..

Wonderful hotel - apparently it's been recently refurbished. That's according to the taxi driver who took us to the airport. Previous reviews say this hotel is somewhat tired and rundown - IT IS NOT! Our room was wonderful and large (Executive room) which we needed as we had 4 large, heavy suitcases and 4 additional bags. All of the staff were very accommodating - the front desk and bar staff were particularly nice, always refilling me with ice whenever I asked. The hotel has a large FREE parking lot. Short taxi or Uber ride to the train station (25-30 minute walk). Lovely grounds to stroll around. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the London area again!

We found our room and the public areas very clean, very tidy, carefully arranged. Attentive staff. Generous breakfast. My wife found her bed too soft. Unfortunately our room was affected by music from across the courtyard until 11:30pm, then by a lorry loading or unloading right outside our window from 6:45am for half an hour.

I personally would have liked to be able to open my window in my room, I appreciate that with air conditioning and being on higher floor this was not possible. It was not a big issue for a one night stay. The restaurant menu may have been an issue for a longer stay with only one vegetarian/plant based option on the mains. Would return for an overnight stay but not for longer due to this.

1 night return visit

Started my Easter adventure with a 3 night stay at this hotel and returned for a 1 night stay to break up my journey home from Dover. I was told I had been upgraded from a double to an executive double but I’m not sure if that was true as the room was identical to the superior room I previously had. My only criticism is that the WiFi wasn’t secure - and that isn’t acceptable really.

Very nice hotel set in wonderful grounds. Comfortable and clean with very modern facilities and bathrooms. Breakfast choices was very good and staff were very polite. The hotel is in a great location - about 15 minute walk into Weybridge town, but there are bus stops near the hotel. Uber taxi to Hampton Court Palace cost me around £16 but I could have used a 461 bus. All in all a fantastic 3 night break. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the fact that they have a policy of adding a refundable £150 contingency charge to your credit/debit card - I didn’t appreciate that as it wasn’t mentioned when I booked the hotel - Naughty Naughty.

Fire in restaurant and we were left at our tables

The air conditioning/heating unit in our room was very noisy making it difficult to sleep. The power and lights shut down whilst we were eating breakfast, we could see staff taking fire extinguishers to a location where they were used for what we could see were faulty switches that were presumably overloaded and caught fire. Meanwhile we were left to wait at our breakfast table until we eventually left under our own direction, when we realised what was happening. Following this we decide to leave the hotel, by which time the fire alarm activated.

Stay at Oatlands Park Hotel Weybridge

This hotel is in a beautiful part of Surrey, our stay was everything we hoped it would be. We were in 3019 which didn’t have a window view due to obscured glass which was a shame but as we only stayed one night it didn’t bother us. Our only other observation which we thought was odd was the mirror in the bathroom was much to high - I am 5ft 5in and could only see the top of my head. Apart from that our stay was pleasant .
