Lovely location out of the way of the nearby town. Quiet. Room was cosy, clean and had everything you needed. Bed was very comfy. Fresh supply of quality tea, milk, biscuits, etc., each day. Parking right outside the hotel was very convenient.

Noisy building work and builders with radio on loud outside room from 7.30 am. Nothing said about same at check in. Room tired and furniture damaged. Windows couldn't be opened and bathroom quarter light had to be wedged open with a toilet roll.

The room was clean, tidy and had everything that we needed for a 1 night stay, the bed was comfy too! For the price I paid, the accomodation was definitely acceptable. I was slightly disappointed with the breakfast. For the price I did expect a little more than one of each, considering my daughter only ordered a few items. Two sausages wouldn't have gone a miss, but I guess we didn't ask so didn't get! Apart from that everything was great. Great location, close to thorpe park which is why we were in the area. Staff were friendly. Check-in was quick.

Location - good. Convenient and quite easy to access.
Staff - sparse, but friendly and polite.
Facilities - main house was good, but the room itself was a bit rough. Door lock barely functioned and had clearly been forced open more than once. Chain was missing from door. Shower was a trickle.
Room wasn't filthy, but far from immaculate.
Fine for one night, but that was about it. We didn't even use the shower it was so poor.

The room was good for what we wanted it for. The bed was big and comfortable. The hair dryer did stop working but the guy on receptionist was ever so apologetic.

The only thing I had any issues with was that it took awhile for the hot water to come through when I had a shower.

The hotel is a lovely spot on the river just a few minutes walk into town.

Lots of free parking.

My room was big, clean with a nice river view. Quite dated but clean with everything you need.

The continental breakfast was lacking (no cheese, meats or fruit) and I had no hot water for a shower in the morning .

Very tired and unloved hotel. It could be beautiful. The room was clean, but numerous cracked floor titles, dirty walls, a hair drier out of the 70’s! Reception, hall ways thread bare carpets, just pretty gloomy. I wish I had a magic wand to transform it!

My room was awful. It smelt like a home.
The blinds in the bathroom didn’t close. The toilet stopped flushing in the morning. No door chain on my door and the kettle wouldn’t stop boiling and when the water was pores out it was white. I paid £31 per person through Expedia for breakfast but if I paid through the hotel itself I would have saved £16. I’m so disappointed

I picked this property as I was collecting someone from Heathrow and it was a good price. Room was clean. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Nice quiet location with the high street 5 minutes walk away containing all the facilities you’d need.
As others have commented, the property could do with some updating but it served my purpose for this visit.

Although I work in the area regularly and the scenery is stunning I would be reluctant to stay at this hotel again. It’s a shame.

Don't stay here. Tired hotel. Rude staff. Few staff if you can find them. Tea in room turned into a brown sludge when milk added. No a very nice experience this time. Stayed over the years but now will defo avoid. Terrace smoking comes in through room windows and stays.

Unable to cancel and shocking service

I'll start by saying I did not stay here. For some reason, upon booking, when I selected 'dog friendly' this option came up. In the comments I noted that I was bringing a dog so asked a room away from noises etc. I booked after 10pm on 29th June for a stay on 21st July ie over 3wks later. The following afternoon the hotel sent a message saying that they do not allow dogs so I would not be able to check-in with a dog. I therefore explained that I wasn't sure how the search had shown their property and requested a cancellation. They advised me to contact Expedia as they'd charged my card but also said that they would have refunded if cancelled the same day (how could that have been possible when I wasn't aware of your pet policy and you didn't contact me until the next day? - it was still within 24hrs!)
After a lot of emails back and forth, even explaining that I had a lot going on, my husband had recently been involved in a serious accident and 11 days in hospital, the owner still refused to refund - I had also paid for 2 breakfasts which we were obviously not having - they even refused to refund those!
With 3 weeks notice requesting cancellation they could obviously have rebooked the room (which they probably did anyway).
Appauling customer service, no compassion, no sympathy, just greedy!

Great service given that only 2 people were shouldering all of customer service. Front desk/ bar service excellent. The girl on breakfast service was rushed off her feet, but provided great service. The room was comfortable ( in need of a little TLC) ,the bed & linens good.

The carpet had a massive bleach stain on it that was HALF covered by a old shabby Matt , curtains were filthy ripped and frayed food is fine ONLY of you have a burger other wise the food was not nice at all
Staff are kind helpful and there is always plenty of guest parking space .
It’s a beautiful place Outaide , so it makes up for it.
The lake the boat the club the wild life sucks etc it’s just perfect for a lovely couple nights work break

Nice being by the river and a short walk into Shepperton village. We didn't eat at the hotel, so we cannot comment on the food. The room was ok, but a little tired. The bathroom definitely needed updating.

I didn't have any expectations so wasn't disappointed !
Allocated a room in the roof was always going to be a challenge with luggage and no lift !
Granted, it was a very hot day, but it was after 11pm when I checked in and the room was still unbearably hot with no air-con or fan, not even a complimentary bottle of water
And then when trying to have a shower the following day, having tried to sleep on a towel while sweating, there was no hot water ! So a cold shower had to be tolerated !
No apology from the management !
Not a venue I could recommend in the slightest !

Shocking. A Hi De Hi holiday camp would be 5 star in comparison. Bathroom was a nightmare, toilet wouldn’t flush. The bedding had blood stains, the windows didn’t close so felt unsafe as you could get access to the room via them. And to top it off the blind fell off so had light coming at 4.30 am

Looking at the pictures online , its apparent these pictures are from years back or re touched ,
This barely makes 3 star, at best,location 4 star,
Lets start with the positive
Location is phenomenal,
Just right on the Thames ,beautiful view, 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk into Shepperton, this town is a real lazy hazy town, personally i loved it .
Housekeeping have a massive task to do its just grubby worn out desperately in need of a makeover,

Dealing with hotel staff, apart from two ladies ,and one gentleman in housekeeping i found them very unhelpful,
No matter my request, the answer was no every time,
I needed to extend my stay,
Even though the fire alarm went off my first night for hours, the water pressure was nothing but a strong dribble to the shower, one morning zero hot water, maintenance couldnt fix the issue the managers, only concern was money pay now, i was not expecting, a discount ,just recognition and maybe an apology,
But alas ,the money for the extra night was top priority,

The menu is dated, ( vegetarian) where i only had really one choice, which after having tasted the food i felt not worth eating ! The bread clearly had been in the freezer for months ,i could not even cut through with a knife,
I asked if they would be sble to do a simple dish spaghetti,
Florin most unhelpful member of staff ,was not interested ,
So they lost my custom as i popped into Shepperton for some wonderful service and food.
Just location wins this..

In photos the hotel looked quite pretty, unfortunately it was let down by the following.
Reception has high desk & you look over & down to receptionist. She finished her previous task in silence, head down - remained head down & seated whilst asking if we had a booking & our name Pointed to where we should be signing & just about saw her face whilst she directed us to go left, upstairs to the top. She very quietly bid us good day whilst remaining seated.
It was in the middle of the heat wave, our room was the attic room, suffocatingly hot despite windows being open. No air conditioning but I would have thought a fan would have been put in the room knowing weather conditions (our onward hotel provided pedestal fans in their rooms without requesting).
This room was in need of decoration, white yet grey walls, stained carpet that looked like a bleach spot from cleaning of ??
Before our evening meal, we sat outside on the edge of the river opposite a small sailing club. This was very peaceful, picturesque.
On going back into the hotel we walked around to what in the online pictures looks a lovely veranda with white tables & chairs. I went to sit on a seat to overlook the river but the chair was full of cobwebs. There was another patio with wooden tables & chairs which was ok. We decided to sit inside to eat. The food was ok thankfully.
Outside the hotel is short on parking (we warrived about 5pm yet by 7pm they were full.) The village itself is pretty, quaint & quiet

Opening the door to the bedroom was like opening the door of an oven, the heat just hits you in the face. There is a hot pipe running under the floor that heats the bathroom tiles, so the room essentially has underfloor heating in the summer with no aircon, and no fan was offered on arrival. The industrial extractor fan for the kitchen is situated about 1 metre from the small window (the only source or fresh air). It runs all day from about 5:30am and woke me up with a start. I asked for a different room for the 2nd night, and they said they would see what they could do and call me; they never called me. When I got back to the hotel they said they could not change the room but offered me a fan (only after I asked). I only went in the room to change my dress and leave but in that 5 mins I was sweating – the heat in the room was stifling. The room is clearly not fit for guests in the summer, and I suspect would fail a health and safety inspection.

Warren lodge hotel serious complaint

I have had the most awful experience that l have ever had at this hotel. On day two of my stay l was told to leave because my dog had entered the room to have a drink of water despite your listing stating clearly that service dogs are allowed which he is.
The manager harrassed me relentlessly and repeatedly refused to tell me why l was being told to leave when according to the listing my dog was allowed to be there.
This was so intense that it brought on a panic attack and l had to call my son from work to come immediately to assist me with my attack. I have now received a message via your booking site stating that l am barred from staying there. This is nothing less than blatant discrimination !!

Not sure about the title..

No handle for hot water and hairs in the bath. The kettle didn't work so I was moved to another room adjacent the building.

The room had river view. Two long windows at the top, none of them could close, one of the handles was broken but the curtain was thick and there was a big radiator so I didn't bother again to complain. Extremely dirty around the windows. I could hear all what a woman was talking in the next room. Paper thin walls.

Full english breakfast was good. Saturday morning the bread was a bit dried as it would have been in the basket for long time but as I put it in the toaster I didn't ask for another one. On Sunday the bread looked fresher.

I can not recommend this hotel to anyone. Next time I definitely will spend a little bit more of money and not trying to save in a cheap hotel.Staff was fine and the cleaning lady was very nice and friendly.

You get what you pay! Good luck!

A well-located and good value Thames-side hotel with comfortable rooms in a characterful building. Some modernisation of bathroom facilities in our room (noisy pipes) and some wall art to brighten the space would have improved the look (minor criticism), but all spaces were in keeping and very fair at the price. Super friendly staff.
