Such a beautiful place! The room was just stunning and very clean. Very spacious with big bathroom and free standing bath which added a nice touch. The staff were so lovely and helpful and the food was very good although my pizza was slightly more done than I would have liked but still enjoyable. 30 seconds walk and there is a lovely place to walk down the river and watch the boats. Lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy some food and a drink. Would definitely stay here again.

NIce pub but parking may be an issue
Pleasant pub with rooms with a newly refurbished beer garden and near but not overlooking the river and within walking distance of Kempton Races (30 minutes level walk) and with local restaurants nearby. Please note, contrary to the listing, there is no car park and parking may be tricky.

Beautiful hotel/steep stairs
It was a very cute place, however is run by a corporation. When we arrived we could not carry my husbands electric scooter up the stairs. Folded it only weighs 45 lbs. the staff said they would store in the kitchen. We had 2 ngts there. On leaving day, Uber ordered, staff couldn’t find the scooter. They had stored in a shed area attached to hotel. We found our luggage tag for airline, but somebody stole it. To me the hotel should cover under there insurance since we put in there care/they feel it is under us. It cost 2k. Police report done, but not sure what will happen. The staff was apologetic, but we are still out a scooter.

Lovely pub with a disappointing hotel attached
This was not my first stay, but it will be my last.
My first time was a bit last-minute, so the only room available was a small one with 2 twin beds. On that trip, the comfy beds were the highlight of the room.
This time around, we pre-planned and had a lovely large room reserved - with a truly horrendous bed which was low to the ground and then had a terrible sag (dent?) to the point I was using pillows to prop myself into a horizontal shape each night for sleeping. All rooms have too much fabric (upholstered nightstands, fabric headboards and the carpets everywhere)- all of which was dirty and stained, in need of major cleaning or replacement. The location is ideal for visiting our family, and the pub/staff is very charming, but I will have to book elsewhere for my future visits. My back simply can't take the awful beds, and my sensibilities can't handle the stains.

To end on a positive note, the included breakfast is quite nice; Isabelle the server is a delight to see in the morning; and the pub has a generally pleasant atmosphere with an impressive menu.

I found the room to be noisy. The most annoying thing was although i paid for breakfast and was told on check in the times 7-10 am, the place was locked up .I called the pub to complain and was told they had not served breakfast for some weeks. The young lady was very apologetic and promised to refund the cost of £8.95.

Stayed here dozens of times and always enjoyed. Disappointed about there is suddenly no breakfast offered. I chose this place to stay because it is cost effective with breakfast included. It was not made clear on booking that the policy had changed - I probably would have booked somewhere else if I have known.

Location was great, but it’s set on a very busy road and my room was facing the busiest part of the toad. Hardly had 5hours sleep as early morning traffic started. It would help if they could invest in triple or zero noiseproof glazing. The floor of my room was uneven and I had feeling of vertigo every time I walked around the room. The carpet had stains, don’t want to speculate what of......The room decor was good, hard mattresses are not my favourite. The best was the towels, clean, white and super fluffy.

Staff fabulous, maintenance a real concern water came cascading down from ceiling in the bar when having breakfast one morning from a rooms shower, our shower door was totally unusable in room four . The breakfast was lovely, Overall stay ok however lights out on corner of the stairs very dangerous as you go through the door at top of stairs !
Hopefully these various maintenance issues for which are Heat in room unbearable, window unable to open , no explanation on how to use coffee machine in welcome pack , the toilet no consistent flush when your in shower and you flush the person in there gets scalded fortunately quick exit as door is ineffective

My wife and two young children stayed here for the night in May 2019 after a day at Thorpe Park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and well priced. The room was very cozy for the four of us but absolutely fine for one night and I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Lovely little find. The staff were very friendly, service spot on. The room was clean and very comfortable. I stayed on a Tuesday and the restaurant had 'Tasty Tuesday' offer on which was very reasonable. The bar was a little pricey but I expect that in this area.

Stayed for 1 night in between visit to Chessington and Thorpe park.Our room was at the top, very cosy. It had everything in there that we required. The staff were great and Bruce, was very welcoming and friendly. We had our evening meal and full English breakfast, which were both very enjoyable. Would recommend .

There was no parking space! Had to go through the pub to access reception. We were given the keys but no explanation on how to use the room, no phone in the room to report problems! The shower was not working properly! No hot water; ended up not having a shower throughout our stay! Breakfast and service generally were very slow. Ended up not having breakfast for the second day!

We were staying as a family of 4 for the evening as we was going to Thorpe Park for the day/eve, check in was easy late afternoon and the girl that checked us all in was lovely and chatty! We had a drink in the nice patio area outside in the afternoon being back to Thorpe Park and all the locals was lovely to us ! All in all we had a great stay with also a fab included breakfast aswel ! Would definitely stay again

Terrible experience in a beautiful location
Made a long trip from NZ for this disappointing stay. Bar staff were rude and grumpy. No WiFi and no staff interested in getting it sorted. Nobody showed up to open for our prepaid breakfast.... Guests and chef left standing on the street for over an hour.... Still no show! We left and paid for a breakfast elsewhere.

To be honest I have stayed in many hotels all over the world due to business. The Flower Pot was nice in a good location. My issue was \"Attention to Detail\". The service in the restaurant was at best slow, it was not busy. I nearly just left to find somewhere else to eat as eventually the waitress came over. In my room I had a coffee machine and a kettle, but no coffee for either. Maybe I should of asked for some but really that's not my issue it's theirs, like I said \"Attention to Detail\". I will be travelling to Sunbury over the next couple of months and I will try a competitor that is just down the road to see how they fare. If \"Attention to Detail\" was I place I would of re-booked at the Flower Pot but not the next time. Also no WIFI in my room, room 8.

Due to the low ceilings and beams my other half got a little stressed about having to bend down constantly but wasn’t a problem for short old me! The bed was comfy enough and the shower was lovely. Overall the room was modern and I liked it.
Breakfast was lovely - they brought food out quickly for the baby which helped. A little confusion from the waitress meant my other half and I ended up eating separately which was a shame. Overall we were pleased with our stay and would recommend to anyone else.

I've done a few reviews of the Flower Pot and still highly recommend it. Great people, service, food and room. Although sorry to say they still haven't repaired the small issues I highlighted to them a week ago, hence a 4* in some areas. Hope they deal with it by the next time I stay.

Stayed here for two nights with the family.The \"family suite\" is a normal sized double room with an old narrow sofa bed with just a single quilt.

Comfy sleep, excellent breakfast, friendly manager and staff. Only limitation is parking, so perhaps suggest recommendations for people as it took a while to find a spot.. also can you sort the wifi out as we didn't get it our room (not close to the router apparently, I had emailed). Nevertheless, happy stay, good shower, food and atmosphere. I would book here again :)

Pleasant stay at The Flower Pot
The Flower Pot was very clean and has a good atmosphere . There was a fan in the room which was definitely a bonus as it was a warm night. The beds were very comfortable and although it was a Saturday night it was peaceful. The waitress was friendly and the breakfast was beautifully cooked. We would be happy to stay there again.

The only things marking it down were an obvious damp stain on the wall and a lack of ventilation in the bathroom causing a damp smell after showering.
We also tried on several occasions to book an extra night using the half price Sunday offer but no one was able to give us an answer and the managers didn't call us back despite us leaving messages

We booked the family room and found it extremely comfortable & well appointed for our family of 4. Good quality linens & comfy beds made for a good nights sleep all round. Extra touches like bathrobes, nespresso machine & bottled water were much appreciated. Really good breakfast too!! Hope to return someday

I think this is a real find and in fact have already booked again for my trip when I'm that way. The rooms are well equipped, although could do with improved lighting and better located power points, but otherwise very good indeed, even have Nespresso machine. Beautifully decorated and my only issue really was that when I stayed it was very hot but they had an efficient fan in the room which did the job. No life but the staff are happy to take up the luggage so not a problem. The pub below has good food, better than normal pub grub, and they are all very friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfy and I found the room better than many 4* hotels I've stayed in. As others hve said the fact that there are six rooms but only 3 parking spaces could be an issue but fortunately I was lucky to get one when I stayed.
So all round pretty happy to have found the Flower Pot.

Try the fish toast for breakfast! The room (nr. 8) is really nice and romantic - just watch your head in this room - there are low timbers and door case. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have a very good coffee machine (Italian style).

Pleasant stay and very accessible to the events we were attending. Struggle with the parking though and would be helpful to make this clear in the advert. The room itself could do with a vanity mirror. There is one in the bathroom but not ideal as lighting is not very good when putting make-up.
