The Hotel was let down the Chef and kitchen staff having no understanding of Celiac Disease and the importance of Gluten Free , The chef though we were a pain and the GF guide they provided was unsafe and wrong , We also spoke with Food and Beverage manager who apologised but had limited GF experience , not good when the staff would be looking at this person for training and advise .
The hotel refunded breakfast but i would never eat here again

I was given a room on the 7th floor, directly underneath the work happening to the outside of the hotel. From 8.20am the drilling, hammering and grinding vibrated the room and the noise made working from the room
Impossible. Front desk offered me the option to work from the lobby which was not appropriate and told me a room change wasn’t possible as she wasn’t authorised to do that. I asked to speak to a manager and was told one want available until 3pm. I explained I had work
Commitments that evening but was assured a manager would call me. They didn’t and upon check out, I still hadn’t heard from anyone. Expedia helpfully contacted the hotel and we are still waiting for a response. There also was no housekeeping at all which was disappointing. This would be a great hotel if they serviced the rooms and also if you don’t need to be in the room from 8am-4pm. If you do, steer clear of this hotel.

Unable to turn on the bathroom light without lighting ALL of the Lights in the mainroom is mental. Someone needs the bathroom then everyone asleep have ALL the bright lights turned on until finished.
Spare switch unused could be used and if i had tools would have do it myself.

⚠️ WARNING!! you have to let them know if you want new towels, room service, and rooms cleaned, maybe end before you get there,?

I'm guessing this hotel had a recent interior renovation, because it's modern and has really beautiful interior finishes, from the bar and lobby to the room doors and bathrooms. The lobby and room were very clean, but the elevators were filthy. Blackout drapes were great. No refrigerator in the room. Lots of power outlets, and even a USB-C charging port, although the one on my side of the bed didn't work. The bed was not terribly comfortable; I could hear and feel the springs. They only supplied one pillow and one towel, which is bizarre. Nicely equipped fitness center. Two of the staff members watch videos on their phones without using earphones, which is annoying. The delightful breakfast buffet is £15, which you have to ask to learn the price. The hotel is in a good location near shopping and transit, but you'll hear the train. The downfall of this hotel is the construction. They sent me a message a couple weeks before my visit saying \"The hotel’s external appearance may look slightly different.\" In reality, it's completely covered in scaffolding and netting, completely changing its appearance. They also said \"There may be minimal noise during working hours, but we’ve taken care to ensure that it won’t interfere with your comfort or overall experience.\" In reality, the workers were drilling into the exterior and hammering in support pieces all through the day, which prevented me from taking my daily siesta. They did take 25% off my bill as a gesture of goodwill.

Booked this DoubleTree by Hilton based on Expedia’s listing, which falsely claimed onsite parking. There was none. When I showed staff the listing, they got defensive and refused to acknowledge the issue—no apology, no help.

The room had no soap for hand-washing, which is basic hygiene. We had to call down just to get one. Water bottles were left outside room doors, which felt careless and potentially unsafe.

To top it off, the building was covered in scaffolding, and planned works began daily from 8:00–8:30am. Our window front was completely obstructed, and privacy was compromised.

Overall, a frustrating stay with poor service and misleading information. Definitely not what you'd expect from a Hilton-branded hotel.

When I booked there was no indication in the building work the hotel was under going. It was covered in scaffolding and so was our window. Luckily we stayed over weekend so no builders.
The hotel was clean and tidy. We did not eat in restaurant. Convenient location for train station.
Only odd thing, is the bathroom light only came on if you turned on all room lights. So at night it was bathroom in pitch dark or waking up your partner by turning on bedroom lights! I queried it with reception but apparently it's meant to be like that!
Overall a nice stay and would stay again (sleep mask required).

Woken up at 9am by loud drilling, not impressed. I was emailed a day before our trip that maintenance to the outside of the building was occurring. Too last minute for us to go elsewhere as we wanted a very good sleep until check out.

They had work going on to the hotel which meant Disable Parking was suspended but parked in a secure car park 2 mins walk away. No problem.

A family break after a day out at Hampton Court

Check in was a poor start. I really didn't understand what the man was saying, he rushed through everything.

We also did not get our free welcome cookie or bottle of water.

Wasn't informed of how to access the WiFi & key info wasn't written down anywhere so had to ask again.

Then we almost went to the wrong room as the wrong number was written on the card, so the receptionist came rushing upstairs to stop and redirect us.

We slept REALLY well. A little train noise but the comfort of the bed put us right to sleep. Air Conditioning was lovely. The receptionist did help us to get that on.

Room service was fast.

Breakfast was fantastic.

Great walks by the river a very short distance away and 7 minutes walk to Kingston Railway Station.

They do not have parking facility. There is a multistory car park nearby but after 11pm no access to your vehicle. All doors are chained up. Had to find a route to crawl through to get back to car for medication. They have no keys. This is false advertising to say there are car park facility's. Parked at 4pm left at 10am = £24? Seriously, I have travelled UK for these hours never had such a high expense!

Weeks prior to our arrival, we wrote in asking for an early check-in because we had to change for an event immediately after arriving. However, upon arrival after a long flight we were told that the room was not available. We were previously told that this may be a possibility and accepted the situation. We were instead, told to use the bathroom in the lobby to change in and we proceeded to do so. Five minutes later, hubby checked in with another staff to inquire if room was truly not available and was told that it indeed WAS available!

Appears that staff members are undergoing training and unsure of where to find details. Apart from that, stay was pleasant.

The place is good! I was disappointed that there’s no water provided upon check in or any other day!
The only hotel i have stayed in without water bottles. I ask the receptionist if I can get bottle water and they told me that only members are able to get water bottle!
I paid same amount of money why shouldn’t I get water! They should treat everyone the same member or no member! It’s water I wasn’t asking a discount or something!
Will I stay here again?
No I don’t think so! It’s actually put me off ever staying in Hilton property!

Had to wait for member of staff to unlock balcony door which I've never experienced before when I've had a balcony room at other hotels.
Went to the bar for a beer before heading out for the evening, 2 members of staff behind the bar, both ignored me until they'd finished talking to off duty staff, when I did get served the beer did not taste right at all, left the beer, didn't bother with the bar after that.

Great location close to the center of Kingston upon Thames, plenty of good bars, restaurants and shopping. Easy access to central London via train

Breakfast is good and will set you up for the day.

What needs to improve, very simply the staffing, we had a noise issue at 1am in the morning and the night team after a while moved us to a new room albeit smaller than our original room. We were told the manager would be advised and that he would reach out to us personally, it never happened

The restaurant staff were invisible and slow to serve on the one occasion we decided to eat at the hotel, the food was average at best and the cost of our fish and chips dinner was crazy expensive!

On reflection, they say staff are a reflection of leadership, and given our experience with the poor level of customer care from the hotel manager we shouldn’t be surprised by our experience

Won’t be rushing back in a hurry, better value to be had elsewhere

The room wasn't clean and I wasn't the only person that thought so as in check in there was another guest at reception complaining. Even tough I asked for an upgrade as a Hilton honours member I was offered a huge fee to do so of £80, when an email pre checking offered me the same thing for £20. Apparently the system wouldn't let them Chang this. In the end I swapper rooms to the same type but in a different way floor. The reception staff were nice but very inexperienced. This hotel is in. A great location but, right by the rail tracks. Also there is no parking and that will cost about £30 overnight. I guess that's not too bad, and the car is safe and near. I would have loved to have had a better experience as I was planning to return. They knew I wasn't cool with the room and the high price they said to upgrade, but after changing me to a different but the same room I got a voucher for a drink, to pacify me

We were staying for the night. The hotel is very conveniently situated. Close to the heart of Kingston and the shopping. The room was clean and comfortable but there was nothing in the room. You would expect a hotel of that calibre to have water; bath robe or slippers. It didn’t have anything. Quite upsetting.

The hotel has some good things like the location and condition as well as the ambiance at the lobby ..

But they don’t offer to help carrying the luggage.. they are the only hotel to offer water if you walk down to the reception .. the staff also lack basic customer service basics .. the pillows are horrible to say the least .. I would definitely pass

We had a wonderful overnight stay, the staff at reception were lovely even upgrading our room as ours didn’t have a bath, nothing was too much trouble, everywhere is spotless, our only negative is the room service, the sandwiches we received I have seen better in the meal deal section at tesco, they were awful and poorly made curling at the edges, however it didn’t spoil our stay and we would come again minus the room service
