I've stayed here before, and - as previously - I found the staff to be professional and courteous and the rates to be very reasonable for the area. I've yet to try the optional breakfast, but its aroma smelt great as I checked out (and for £8 it was very reasonably priced too).

Ok for rugby visit

Perfect for twickenham rugby. Very tired accommodation that could do with a bit of updating. Warm and dry room. However the staff were friendly and breakfast was good at on £8 each.

After booking a room through Expedia for Twickenham Guest House and receiving my booking confirmation, I realised that I had chosen the wrong month for my booking. I tried to amend my booking immediately for the correct date but there was no availability. After contacting Expedia to explain my error (I'm not very good with technology!) they said they would get in touch with Twickenham Guest House to request a refund however they refused to issue my refund even though they were contacted within 30 minutes of me noticing the error. They have since ignored my request to refund my money which has left me nearly £80 out of pocket which may not be much to some, but it certainly is to me!

Lovely village with tons of walking paths. The accomodations were basically a closet with bathroom but it was clean and after being kicked out of heathrow at 11:00 at night with no warning and having stood in que fir 8 hrs( criwdstrike debacle) I considered it fortunate to have a hit shower and clean bed. The folks were very accomodating considering the hour we arrived. Twickenham is a wonderful village with beautiful avenues, gardens and friendly people. Thouroughly enjoyed my 2 days despite the circumstances. P S never fly British Airways. Still havent found my luggage.

Room is basic, small and tired. Quite stuffy during warm weather, especially with 2 people in there. Bathroom is ok, much newer than the bedroom. Shower was quite nice. No hand towels though. Door to the room is from the out side and is old and rough with gaps all around. Ok in the warm weather, not so sure if it was during Autumn or winter.

Booked for when we went to watch games at Twickenham and it was great.
5 mins away from the stadium and 10 mins to dawdle to the station - all in a straight line.
We were able to check in and leave everything we didn't need so no carrying it around the stadium.
The room we had had 3 single beds so we could share one room without getting on each others nerves - beds were comfy.
Was a little noisy being on the ring road but I'll take that with the location and less hassle of fighting to get home on game days.

Pros: bed was decent, shower was hot, breakfast was simple but decent, and staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons: the rooms are arranged around an outdoor courtyard but with internal-grade doors. As a result, the rooms are draughty and noisy. There is a lot of road noise and other guests can be clearly heard arriving and going. I was woken up at 5am by the sound of another room's power shower coming on. There was no desk in my room.

As a solo business traveller I stayed because of the recommendations from similar guests, but I can't recommend it for that. It would be better suited for those heading for the rugby who plan to spend only a few hours in the room.

If you do stay, pack ear plugs.

I’d stay here again, was a last minute booking just to catch up on some sleep after a 14 hour flight. Had a 3 day layover till my next flight back home… worked out well 3 travelers and we got a room with 3 beds so 👍

I had a draft in my room, ok because it is summer though.
Because is next to the roads, you hear cars honking sometimes, but is normal due to location, doesn't bother since you should expect it.

Basic guest house with shared facilities

Not sure what to say about this place, it is a very basic guest house with shared facilities. The guy on the desk was nice and helpful and it's in the shadow of the stadium so ideal if you're a rugby fan. The room I was in was quite small as was the shower room, so don't bring loads of luggage with you or expect to swing a cat!

I knew not too expect anything amazing as it's just a guest house. Basic rooms but they were good enough along with the comfortable beds to enjoy a good night's sleep. The cooked breakfast was satisfying and filling. I like that they provided a small tube of shower gel for you in the rooms

Booked this property late at night but wanted to ensure that everything was booked so called ahead, was met with a really rude gentleman over the phone who was just saying mmm everything I asked a question.

When we arrived I went into the guest house where I had to ring a bell to be let him (perfectly fine as we got there late). I was met by the same rude gentlemen who again didn’t say much apart from handed me a paper form to fill in and the car machine to pay. I was then given a key and said your in room 15, it’s up the stairs - charming! The only conversation I had with him was what time do I want breakfast which didn’t even arrive!

I knew I paid for a basic room but for £99 I thought I would get something a little bit better. I entered the room & there were 3 single beds each separated by a draw & a lamp. The main light didn’t work so I had to shine my phone light around the room to even see where I was going. To eat my food I had to put the bathroom light on!! Dust and spiders around the room & no heating so wasn’t a good nights sleep.

We had to vacate the guest house at 11am so we all got up to have showers etc where there was a knock at the room at 10.40am where I was told check out is 11am do not be late! It was 11am and I was just brushing my teeth to which there was another knock saying it’s 11am!

One of the reasons we booked the guest house was for the free parking, so you could imagine my face when I came out to a parking fine for £110!

The Team were really very nice, but the Place really needs a redecoration, it has gotten shabby. The Guest House is an extended house with rooms in The Courtyard, which at one time was probably the back garden. If it had a good spruce up it would be so much nicer

Disappointing stay

The guy who dealt with me during my stay was pleasant enough and coked an ok breakfast...but not amazing. My main unblemished was the size and cleanliness of the room.....yes it was a single but it felt like a cell....the walls and paintwork are dirty in poor condition....s was the carpet and net curtains. It was extremely noisy....especially at 6 am when the clattering started in the kitchen. During breakfast piles of laundry bags were piled up in the dining room. I was not happy but the sheets on the bed were clean so I decided to stay as I had no alternative.

The room was cramped and hot, though they did provide an electric fan, and it really needed a coat of paint - walls were marked and grubby. Great location, terrible quality

If you need to be close to the stadium this is ideal. At best if you need a place purely to sleep this isn’t the best, the room was so hot and the fan was on a timer. So I had to wake up every hour in a pool of sweat to turn it back on.
The shared bathroom was not the cleanest. I had to try and hose down the shower as there was body hair everywhere. The shower head alone was vile covered in limescale and therefore the water trickled out. The water was either scolding or freezing so I had to resort to washing in the sink in my room! Also a very dodgy kettle in the room that re boiled itself every few minutes. Not worth £55 at all, which I was told on arrival was a discount price.

Twickenham Guest House experience.

Having read terrible reviews of the hotel, we think these should be removed. The owners have obviously worked hard to smarten up and refurbish the hotel and offer good service in that 1pm check in and 11 am check out are offered.

There is drinking water available in the dining room area all the time, with television on all the time there and a few magazines and a sofa in this room.

The downside is that bedrooms are VERY SMALL, but one of our party was told of this before she arrived, and there is not much the owners can do about the small size. Two of our party occupied Bedroom 2 which is light and spacious, whilst we had 4A, which is bigger than some and Ok for we two. Good lighting in it, though natural light leaves it very dark.

The location is close to the Rugby Stadium and one can walk into the main town in about 15 minutes. For meals, a pizza shop is nearer and there is a local food market and \"Scrummery food\" which was closed in the evenings.

The place is old and tired. It is, however, close to the trains, buses and stadium. There are pubs and restaurants within walking distance. If you want to see the London sights this is not your place but it is someplace I would stay again if I needed to be in Twickenham.

I read lots of reviews before staying that said the guest house was not clean, not comfortable, cold and loud. I could not disagree more! Our visit was excellent. I was impressed by the staff who were helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent, the room has heaters as well as fans that you could control and although next to Twickenham stadium you couldn't hear anything. Overall I WOULD stay there again and will be next time i go to the area.

I was here for 1 night on a business trip. For the price you can't really complain about anything. You don't pay much, you don't get much. It was exactly what I needed and I'll definitely book again. If you're expecting the Hilton maybe look elsewhere. If you're happy to have a great value place to stay in the London area then look no further.

no way ever staying again

Having chose this B&B for its location I was quite surprised with the size of the rabbit hutch of a room No fire door to the room but one going to the Shower/toilet .
NO information on the B&B Local area OR EVEN FIRE DRILLS in the room, Very Poor information on fire evacuation in the whole building. But Camera's every where, A TV that is showing a later time on it in the Dining room again very squashed in. The best thing a member of Hotels.com should do is visit like a Boss under cover and make you own mind up VERY OVER PRICED FOR STANDARD of STAY

Worth the price

The guest house was solid and comfortable. Room was a little small as expected, and the bathroom very compact with a high efficiency shower which caused some surprises. Only a short walk to the train station with 20 min ride to downtown London-Waterloo Station. Breakfast was included and cooked to order. Older but clean, all in all I'd stay again.

We were there for about a week. Great staff, very eager to help us with any concerns or accommodations. TV did not appear to work in room, but we never even raised the issue as we never had much desire to watch TV (they had BBC on in the lounge area, that was sufficient). WiFi was free but spotty, and I would not recommend relying on it if traveling for business. Breakfast was fine (and included); dinner options were cheap, delicious, but a bit on the small side. The shower was a bit small, and I had some issues with varying water pressure and temperature extremes on the last couple of days of our week-long stay, but my wife had no such issues. Walls are very thin, and there is no insulation around the doors; you can see into the interior courtyard (exposed to the elements) below the door and through the archaic keyhole. The room tended to get very warm, so we often had windows open and the included fan unit blowing. I'm focusing on several negatives here, but we really did overall enjoy our stay. If you want to stay at the hotel all day, this isn't the place for you. But if you just need a comfortable bed, a place to shower and change, and the opportunity for a decent breakfast or dinner, and plan to spend your time out and about, then this is a good place to choose, especially for the price.

the worst part was their pillows were too fat...
Got to our bedroom and the lights in the bathroom didn't work, hotel staff quickly moved us to 2 new rooms (which was really convenient for my new husband and I to have our own room, separate from our friend who was travelling with us).
We were also catching a flight and had to leave before they were serving breakfast, so staff set cereal our especially for us.

The stay was noisy (due to being on the flight path to Heathrow). The curtains were ill-fitting and had a gap between the curtain and the edge of the wall of about 6 to 8 inches so people outside could see in if light was on and the breakfast was laying in fat. Not a very good stay.

Average room with a good breakfast

Comfortable beds but the rooms were cramped. Wifi didn't work in the rooms. Short walk to the train station with a half hour ride to downtown London. About 33 pounds to the airport. Train and subway would have been cheaper but longer and require changes. One of the best breakfasts I had on the entire trip.
