Great room size and decor. One small point on amenities, it would be good to have things like hairbrushes/combs/toothbrushes for sale at reception for those last minute forgotten items.

Breakfast was ok- pretty much the same offering at a Premier Inn hot breakfast. thought paying £12.50 for a child was a bit much for essentially a bowl of porridge and a juice.

Aside from that very impressed with the facilities available. It was really nice to see the olympic stars who have trained at the facilities at the hotel. Thankyou.

The room we had booked was very small and claustrophobic so asked reception if they had any other rooms available so we upgraded to a superior room which was excellent as it was my wife’s birthday the room they gave us was fantastic spacious clean the bed large and comfortable there was a seating area with tv which was great to be able relax after our long drive to the hotel: the breakfast although self service had everything and more for breakfast, fantastic location with easy reach to a lovely part of south west London

Amazing hotel, has everything you could want, hotel grounds and facilities are amazing. Breakfast A+ room was massive and bar lounge area you could sit for hours.

When you book you arw under the impression you are staying in a historic building with amendaties all in one place. But our room was in an outside building on the grounds which could have been an average rated premier inn. The spa was in main building , the pool and gym in another building. it wasnt like being in a hotel but like being in a cheap hotel near a sports centre. clearly used more by the locals for the sports facilities than the hotel guests. The restuarant food was nothing special, bed was hard and showers had mould. I wouldnt stay again.

Hotel is nice from exterior with free parking, stayed in a standard double room which cost £207 for 1 night and this was with a discount. Room was very small- especially the bathroom. Very basic amenities in the room/bathroom. Bed sheets had holes in.

Cleanliness level was good from what I saw, included use of the pool/sauna/steam room. However I do not feel the room was worth the price we paid at all. I would say it’s more £150-160 per night instead of the £200+ we paid. They do have larger rooms for an additional fee which would be better but I do thing the entry level rooms need re-pricing.

Would have been improved with more toiletries included in the room, the showers need upgrading as I’m 5ft4 and slim and it was a squeeze. As well as bed sheets replacing due to holes.

Surrounding area is nice with lots of restaurants/pubs/green spaces.

the hotel is in a fabulous location but is showing signs of age. Many of the seats in the restaurant and bar area are worn and scruffy and the first room we were allocated was very scruffy with the bed base tatty and torn. The second room was much nicer in the Ascot building which is clearly newer but not linked to the main building so in wet weather you would get wet going to the restaurant.

Everything was perfect. I was stuck in London due to a flight cancellation- this resort was reasonably priced and the staff was over the top friendly and warm. Towel warmer was such a plus. Room was a bit noisy due to other guests, seems there was a large group with young people late at night going from room to room and making noise. A bit of an inconvenience since I had to wake up and depart by 4:30am. The restaurant was accommodating and I had a lovely meal after a very long day.

Situated in a beautiful town and with plenty of eateries nearby for both breakfast and evening meal (didn’t eat in hotel). Room ok, could have done with a bit of TLC in certain areas but spacious with a lovely view of the grounds. Beds far too hard for me but that’s obviously personal preference. Free parking a definite bonus. Overall a good experience and would definitely return.

TV position is awkward. Both beds are facing 90 degrees to the TV.

Lift not working and so offered an unkept staff lift - no assistance offered for my luggage. Exceptionally small ,dated and tired looking room.. Noisy pipe works through the night- had a computer monitor sized tv! … not impressed. No shower option only rainfall which did not suit me - a regular shower is sufficient. I saw the breakfast being served and very glad I opted out - pale sausages and over dried scrambled egg. No love in cooking or presentation. If I were chef I would be embarrassed. The reputation of the venues leisure facilities drove the decision to stay. Interesting I had another night booked for a return travel leg which I hastily cancelled

Perfect peaceful retreat

The Lensbury is a lovely place to stay away from the hustle of the city but only a short train journey to Waterloo..
this is our second visit and won’t be our last.. slight issue with lack of air con but when mentioned at reception an extra fan and water for the room was provided so really can’t complain. Rooms are lovely and clean and the added coffee machine is a lovely bonus

I booked because I wanted a swimming pool as I have a back injury, the swimming pool was closed for the week.
The person at front desk was unhelpful and asked me to sort it out in the morning.

The lift was not working and I had to use on the service one and had to find it on my own as was only said, \"on the left\".

Rude and untrained staff that was clearly not professional and helpful, I left the premises without an answer hoping for a refund for 2 nights that I did not used.

I chose this Hotel due to the location for a visit to Hampton Court Palace. It was only a short drive to the Palace and Richmond, great local pubs !
Couldn’t fault the Hotel, fantastic breakfasts, fabulous gardens and friendly staff.
Room was comfortable and clean and Bathroom well stocked with toiletries etc.
We would definitely visit here again.

It was a birthday celebration, and it was to be something special.
We wanted somewhere that would be memorable to stay in and this hotel didn’t disappoint.

A timeless hotel with a superb reputation, with service and amenities to match.

You may want to go for a swim, you may want to play tennis, or you may wish to have a massage and relax in your room, you can do it all here.

Certainly a hotel that prioritises guest comfort and good service over pretty much anything else. Also, a hotel that is proud of its reputation and lives up to it.

Reception - I stood there waiting for 25 mins with no acknowledgement from the receptionist or I assume the manager, while they dealt with another customers incorrect room booking. After 25 mins the manager then told the receptionist, that he would deal with it, freeing her up to assist me. By this time of course there was queue of people trying to check in. Very poor first impression and not even an apology for keeping me waiting.

If you want to sweat it in a dump - a/c didn’t work - and sit on cracked pleather chairs on stained carpets and engage with the oddest bunch of hotel staff ( I love eccentric) but these staff took it to a new level. The breakfast was meh at best - the coffee was terrible. The hotel property is located along the Thames and there are beautiful trees for shade and benches from which you can look at the locks. The property is very conveniently located - easily walkable to Teddington High street restaurants and shops and to the foot bridge over the locks. It’s possible to walk to Bushy Park and Ham House, and easily accessible via bus to Richmond Riverfront and to Hampton Court.

The surrounding area is gorgeous, but our accommodation was basically an annexe and not attached to the main building. The room was small, and you couldn’t have the blind up because it’s ground floor facing a car park with people going past all the time to access the gym. The shower backed up and there was mold all over the bathroom. The bath mat had rust on it and the shower was a cubicle, that I’ve seen on sale for £99 and it’s not hardy enough for hotel use.
I’m sure there will be some nice rooms, but they’re generally looking dated and worn.

The main selling points of this hotel were the tennis courts, spa and gym – all of which were excellent. The gym and spa facilities were on par with David Lloyds, which was a real highlight. However, the rest of the hotel could really do with some refurbishment and a bit of TLC. The rooms felt tired and outdated, and the breakfast options were quite limited, especially for anyone with dietary requirements. That said, we enjoyed our stay overall, mainly because we spent very little time in the room apart from sleeping.
