Staff were lovely, check in easy, key code for door was handy as we didn’t have to carry a key around and a great location. Unfortunately for us the room was not equipped to cope with the heat wave despite having a small fan in the room (heat couldn’t escape). Quite a few steps and distance to the room from reception as the way in and out - this may be an issue if you can’t carry your bags upstairs. Power points struggled to charge phones with our adaptors.
Overall a good stay.

The Lady at the front was incredibly helpful. But I would not recommend staying here during hot time of the year because there is no Air Conditioning. Even with the fans it was really too hot to sleep at night. There are no elevators/Lifts here, so beware if you have big luggage.

It's a old hotel and it is really close to everything shops restaurants, but it needs some work, there was no fridge no air-conditioning, and it was hot when we there , so they had fans but they were useless

My room was on the 3rd floor in ever narrower stair cases. I would not have wanted to carry a large suitcase up there. Also not air conditioned….fortunately it cooled off at night and I could open a window. It was however noisy outside, trains and traffic.
Otherwise well worth the money

The room was an excellent location, just it bit noisy if you get room on front of property.
The room was it bit small, but it has everything that is needed it. It got very hot the last 2 nights, even though we had the window open.
They provide a fan in room but not enough.

The on-site restaurant was excellent. The location in comparison to the rail station is walkable with luggage and the hotel was located in a safe location. Upon returning to our hotel at 1100pm, the bathroom was flooded from an upstairs leak, which appeared to have been leaking for sometime (further investigation showed signs of previous leaks-mold). Staff response was to take video, and give us another room. No offer was made to assist us in moving rooms, no apologies or compensation were offered. When we inquired the next morning, were told that the maintenance person would look into it - again, no compensation/apologies offered for the inconvenience.

Had to ask staff 2 times for new towels. No room clean up or refresh the entire week. Ran out of toilet paper. NO LIFT! Very difficult with a disability to navigate the stairs with luggage! Nothing looked as shown in the picture by EXPEDIA. Very Motel 6!

The location was really lovely and had beautiful views from the restaurant patio, but it seemed like it was understaffed. There weren’t many staff around and the ones that were there were running around very busy and were hard to catch when we needed something such as ordering food at the restaurant or getting some towels in our room. They were extremely pleasant but just not very available. Also, the place was not very clean. It was passable in the actual rooms, but the patio was full of dust and spider webs everywhere, there was some stains on the bedroom walls and doors and around things like high-touch areas (light switches, doorknobs, etc) it definitely could have been better but it was okay enough. It was also not a very accessible place (lots of stairs, no ramps or elevators) and no air conditioning which are both things I would expect along with it being much cleaner and better maintained from the ratings I saw online. Overall it was okay, but not great. Had the potential to be much much better.

Impossible to contact hotel-tried for over an hour before eventually getting through on a mobile.
Restaurant closed.
Have to book in via online system no more than 3 hours beforehand to get access to car park and room including govt approved documents-I was driving down from Manchester so impossible to do before arriving-expected to park on road to do so! MAJOR road!
Customer service utterly useless/refused to pass me on to a manager!
Online systems didn’t work for booking anyhow.
Didn’t stay in the end ( total loss of confidence in hotel/staff/ systems etc.) went somewhere else.
SHOCKING!

The pictures of the hotel are not indicative of the state it is in now. This hotel has not been invested in, it is in poor condition, no AC, a concerning questionable level of lock on balcony doors, rooms very dark, carpet that makes you keep your socks on, I did not eat here so cannot comment on food.

It was very lovely staying on the river which offered a cool breeze. Please note there is no air conditioning, fans were provided. I do not feel I received the room I reserved. From the photo's I expected a more private view of river with ability to walk outside and instead I received a second floor, shared balcony exerience. It was nice to sit out and see the river and still pretty private. It is an old hotel and there is no lyft, so expect a lot of stairs. I would not have been able to make it up the stairs with my luggage, without my husband. It was a long walk to go down to the reception desk if you needed anything - no in room phones.

Our room was like a bake house with no aircon. We had to open all the windows in the room and bathroom. When we got back to our room at around 12 midnight we could not get to sleep until around 2am due to the people in the adjoining room. If we had realised the room was adjoining we would not have stayed in that room.
All we heard was laughing and the tv way too high volume.
The sink in the bathroom was blocked so couldn’t drain. We will not be staying here again unfortunately.

The hotel is beautiful, the location is great! The booking says there is a restaurant on premises. However they are having staffing problems and the restaurant is closed. Only the bar was open. We were exhausted from our trip and did not really want to go out again but we had to if we wanted to eat before bed time.
Also, they are very strict at sticking to the 3pm check in. We arrived early and checked out bags so we could explore. But we were also exhausted. We sat in the lobby for over 2 hrs waiting to be checked in. But it seemed apparent that they we not waiting for guest to leave or rooms to be cleaned. By the 3pm check in time there was a line of ppl waiting to check in and she checked everyone in one at a time. This line could have been prevented by allowing a few guest to check in early.

The English Breakfast was phenomenal, the cook there was amazing , the thing that happened during our visit was the maid service missed our room took a reminder to get our room refreshed . The shower in our room was not functioning properly the temperature fluctuated from scalding hot to freezing cold , our bed was suppose to be a king and was like two twins zipped together was slightly uncomfortable

It’s a bit run down and not super convenient. We chose the hotel based on reviews, price and proximity to airport and bus station. It is in a quiet area, there’s what looks like a cute walking path along the river (though we didn’t check it out). But to get anywhere took a LONG time. You really need to pre-plan the airport bus (take the #8 to make it 15 min instead of 1.25 hrs) and getting to the city (Piccadilly line) took 2+ hrs. Getting back took longer.

Located near Heathrow and next to Thames River which is a wonderful walk in the evening. We saw beautiful homes, swans and other wildlife. Find the McDonald’s and you have the Main Street for shopping and restaurants. It’s a five minute walk. Uber drivers have no problem finding the hotel. We used them going from and to Heathrow. Comfortable bed. A little moldy in the bathroom but could be because there is no ventilation in that room.

Mixed Experience – Great Location but Hygiene Needs Improve

The hotel is very well located, which made getting around quite convenient. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout the stay, which we appreciated.

However, the overall hygiene standards, particularly in the toilet, were below expectations. Additionally, the carpets in the reception area and corridors were quite old and had an unpleasant smell, which affected the overall experience.

With some improvements in cleanliness and maintenance, this hotel could be a much better place to stay

I paid for an upgraded room with a bath. I didn’t get one. Reception staff painfully slow despite not being very busy. I asked the barman about room service and was told that the chef normally finishes at 9.30pm but because it was quiet he was letting him go early but as long as I ordered by 8.30pm I could get some food. I returned at 8.15pm and the barman said he’d already let the chef go. I was annoyed about this.

During our hotel stay from 04/07/2026 to 04/09/2026, Upon arrival, we discovered that the hotel lacked essential accessibility features, such as an elevator. The assigned room was missing several advertised amenities, including a telephone, air conditioning, and room service. We repeatedly requested assistance and a reassignment to a more accessible room, but our concerns were not promptly addressed. The lack of support further diminished our comfort. Due to these ongoing issues we checked out earlier than planned. I have tried to speak with someone about this issue since 04/09/26 to no avail. The phone numbers and emails provided have all been dead ends.

Lets get the good things out of the way. Firstly, the beds were lovely and comfy and we slept well in them, the night was peaceful with no noise from other rooms, the gentleman on reception very swiftly sorted out an issue that we had with the room which I will get to shortly, we loved the amenities in the room (kettle, hair dryer, fridge, iron and ironing board, great TV and lots of lighting options with lamps etc).
Also a view of the river. However, we booked a family room for 2 adults and one child, so three people and when we got to the room, it was only set up for two so I call down to reception to sort the issue out. The phone was not answered so I had to go downstairs and find the receptionist who swiftly sorted the problem. The room on first impressions looked clean but on closer inspection we found a fair amount of rubbish had been left by previous guests which I think was easily visible (toy packaging sticking out from under one bed and McDonald's sauce packet and bottle lid under the other) and some sweet wrappers on the floor near the bed, the desk was wobbly and will fall apart when being leant on, there didn't seem to be any central heating and there was a questionable portable heater, the shower head in the bathroom was dirty/rusty and the taps needed better cleaning. I feel that a bit more attention to detail is needed and this hotel would be a 10/10 but at the moment I would rate it a 6. Also checkout is at 11.30 not 12pm which i feel is normal for a hotel

Where do I start? Nowhere on the opening page for booking did it say £10 a night parking, the car park is very small with other guests frequently using two bays to one car.

Shower didn't work in the first room so I had to move. Second room shower was fine but there was a metallic ozone smell coming from a dodgey socket my laptop charger was plugged into which completely fried the contacts.

Mouldy mini fridge, toenail clippings on the floor....don't bother staying here. Typical OYO stay.

Bit cool on arrival but could turn up radiator. In all good value for location not far from train station. Town car park was cheaper nearby for our short duration. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that.

The property had an old musk smell that permeated through the carpet. They did not have lift access so they are not accessibility or heavy luggage friendly. They did have rails in the upstairs bathroom, but how did you get upstairs with mobility issues. My room had spiders and the tub had hair and did not look clean. Also, it was shot overnight and they do not have AC and you can hear every sound of the guests overnight. It is relatively close to the airport by twenty Uber or 40 minutes by bus, but given the other issues, I would say choose somewhere else.

A disappointment in the quality of the hotel, its condition, and its services. The room was so cold when I arrived I thought I was outside, and needed to use a difficult-to-regulate space heater. There was \"no cook tonight\", so the restaurant was closed.

Absolutely terrible - 4 of my 8 rooms were cancelled two hours before check in leaving us with nowhere to go so i had to spend double to get 4 rooms elsewhere and the hotel is refunding me less than what i paid out so not only dd i have 4 rooms cancelled, i am also out of pocket for those rooms plus out of pocket as i had to get a different hotel - Such a bad experience and very poor from Expedia

Located right on the river and the room had a view. The front desk staff were helpful but the chamber service is sub-par. The beds were made up but there were no towels in the bathroom, the soap dispenser in the shower was empty and there was a crisp packet under the bed from the previous guests. I’m not sure if I will stay there again.
