When we arrived, the room had not been ventilated on a hot day. Room very hot couldn't sleep. Booked because close to Heathrow had to leave windows wide open for some breeze. is very convenient to get to Heathrow. Towels the hardest we experienced on 2 months of travelling B and Bs around UK.

I stay away from home a lot due to work and this was the worst experience ive ever had. When checking in, i had to wait 10 minutes or so for someone to show up at the reception then when he came they demanded a copy of my ID and £20 as a deposit for a key. Without both i wouldnt be able to check in despite having paid upfront for the accommodation. I didnt have either on me so i had to mess around emailing a photo of my driving license and bank transferring £20 to enable me to check in. He told me that these requirements were clearly shown on the advert until i showed him their advert on Hotels.com which didnt mention it at all. He then insisted it was on all the others but judging by other comments on here it obviously isnt. Once i had left i had to chase them several times via whats app to get my £20 sent back to me. I will never stay here again and strongly advise everyone else to not do so as well. The whole thing stinks of scam. Also, the bed was rock hard and not a great nights sleep. Do not believe any positive reviews you read about this place.

Arrived 10pm after getting a little misplaced in area, but was welcomed and shown to our room.

Lodgings a bit dated, but for an overnight stay before heading to the airport it was great. Twin room with en-suite was just what was needed. TV, Kettle with tea and coffee, fan, and towels provided.

Couple of things to note:
1. They ask for ID of main guest and take a picture of it
2. They ask for a £20 deposit for the key, it is returned when you check out, after they check the room
3. They are really, really close to Heathrow and you will hear planes until 23:55, when night flights end and they start back up about 4/5am

I assume they have had guests leave with keys or left room in a mess in the past, which makes them cautious.

Overall, a nice place, good location and friendly staff - will be adding to my list of LHR stop-overs

Worth the Money!

The owners were very hospitable, breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable. Private bathroom , yeah! We took the local bus from Heathrow airport Terminal 5 and only had to walk a couple of blocks to the London Heathrow Guesthouse. In the evening our hosts recommended walking to the Perserverence (Percy) the local pub. The fish and chips were delicious (large portion)..Great stay.

Hostel type room. Although our stay here was without any serious misadventure (were were mother and daughter, quiet and respectful of the accommodation), there were a few things I found concerning. Check in: I was asked for my passport. As an U.S. Citizen we know we don't just hand over our passport except for an occasional copy required by some hotels. This being said I was asked to LEAVE it with the owner. I argued and my daughter left her ID. I was woken up at 11:30 that night with a request for the booking person's ID. I left my passport card not my book passport with the owner. Breakfast never arrived or was offered. Tried to use shuttle both to and from the airport but it apparently didn't exist or was an inconvenient day. Tried to contact them from the U.S. at the appropriate business hour, they never answered the phone. Tried to text, same thing. Train was close by but was late, never arrived or closed for construction (not the owner's fault obviously). At check out an inspection of the room was required by the owner before she would give me back my ID. Garbage was emptied once, I did it myself the rest of my stay. Towels were only exchanged once. The best description of how I felt during the time I spent at this location (7 days) is as someone who would run off without paying (I prepaid my entire stay), or someone who would somehow damage their property. Plus: Heater, tea, coffee, sugar, cups, kettle and refrigerator.

Simply put, this is the worst hotel at which I've stayed in my life. The managers engage in fraud and abuse of guests to line their pockets and fail to provide anything approaching customer service. I do not take these words lightly, and if you don't believe me, simply read the other 198 reviews about the \"customer service\" they provide to their guests.

They are the rudest and nastiest human beings with whom I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with in 30 years in the travel industry. Upon arrival, I was subjected to literal screaming, threats, abuse, and suggestion that they would call the cops: this for the simple act of arriving to check into my room (which I had already paid for). They said check-in was closed. When I showed them the booking, which CLEARLY lists a 24/7 front desk, they had no response.

Quickly they switched to \"scam mode\", first insisting that I hadn't paid for my reservation, and demanding cash up front. When I showed them my fully paid reservation, with receipt in tow, they switched to the next scam mode, now demanding exorbitant fees for additional services: for a \"late check-in fee\". I asked them where that was listed. Again, no reply. Then a further charge for a \"key deposit.\"

These are nasty, rotten, human beings who are stealing from their customers on a regular basis by overcharging, double charging, and inventing bogus fees.

They should be put out of business.

Friendly staff. It’s an overnight stay. With a roof over your head. Shower shared you have to put one finger on power button and shower at same time. Not good shower at all. Bring your own food and drink. Staff are friendly. Have to leave £20 cash or Id card for deposit for key. Returned when you exchange for the key when leaving.

A room close to the airport - ideal for an early departure (or a late arrival). In the flight path - so don't arrive early expecting to sleep!

We made our reservation in July for September, I contacted the property twice to let them know that we would need a late check in, I never got a response but I read on several platforms including that the reception is 24 hours a day. We arrived at the property and all the doors were open (which seemed unsafe to me) but there was no one to assist us so we called the phone number on the sign outside the response from, I would like to believe the owner of the property, is that The reception has already closed and he is sorry but he cannot help us, to which I answer that we have paid for the room and that we have nowhere to sleep, his solution? I can't do anything for you, to which I reacted angrily like any person who was responsible for contacting the property in advance and told him that I would give him a bad review. After 15 minutes a small man comes out of the property who turned out to be the same person I spoke to on the phone offering to give us a room for an extra cost to which I told him that we no longer wanted to sleep there because honestly the place is a hole rotten. He reacted violently and everything led to a very agitated and horrible argument. the worst experience, if you stay here you will be treated with violence.

Also I would like to this platform to have a bit of control where they send the people cause this was one of the most scary experiences I ever had

I arrived at Heathrow airport and called their official phone number (to make sure somebody was at the front desk to let me in) and nobody answered. I kept trying to reach an agent for 30 minutes and no one answered. They didn't answer their phone during business hours. When I finally arrived by a hired ride an employee refused to let me into my room and tried to charge me a second time if I wanted a room. The company refused me a refund so I contested it on my card

Monica and Toni were very courteous, warm, and helpful with all our needs. We rented one bedroom with two beds and one bathroom/shower. Very clean. Breakfast was home-made English breakfast, served with a smile. Furniture a bit old. Not a Hilton or a Hyatt. But that is part of the charm (and price).

Its a bit strange. Its very basic, appears like some people live there on a more permanent basis. But the bed was comfy, there was tea and coffe, even a little kitchenette. I wouldn't use the shower unless absolutely necessary! Overall for a quick stay to catch a plane at Heathrow it did exactly what i needed

The staff is very nice and friendly, and it was very sweet that they had milk in the fridge for tea, but the bathroom condition was a bit disappointing.
I didn't have any problems taking a shower, but when my partner did, he couldn't get hot water and had to have a cold shower. The dryer on the wall looked rusty and not good, the mattress was too firm, we weren't sure that the bedding was fresh, sockets were placed in inconvenient locations. it was an okay place for one night, but I wouldn't stay there longer unfortunately

Avoid if you can

On first arrival, the gentleman that checked us in while pleasant kept coughing and was not where a mask, given the current pandemic this was very off putting. The room was very small and cramped. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The toilet had a strong smell of sewage. The shower was the only redeeming part of the room, however it was a very high step to get into the bathroom which is not suitable for people who cannot lift their legs well.

Had to wait in reception while room was prepared. Was asked if I wanted to upgrade for & £10 before I'd even seen the room I paid for. Even though I had breakfast included I was told this would be an extra cost! Room itself was tiny, cobwebs in the window, TV looked like it had come out of the 80s.left the next morning itching like hell. The shower hose was damaged and the cubicle overflowed as there is a blockage. Definitely won't be staying again.

Was a relatively cheap stay, half the price it usually is. Would of been fuming if id paid full price. Beds were hard, pillows flat and old, quilt felt like it was decades old or just the cheapest money could buy. Fridge was filthy all round the door and handle. There was no do not disturb sign. Not to mention your literally on the flight path centrally. Although that i coukd of lived with . Stayed 2 nights, never again.

Fine if you want to be locked in and burgled.

The room when I eventually saw it was clean and as advertised. Likewise the rest of the place that I was able to walk around. However, when I arrived there was no one to greet me. The hotel was unlocked and I was able to walk around unchallenged past all the rooms and upstairs. I had to phone to find someone and was told that that day they had changed check in time but hadn't told anyone and it would be another 10mins before a cleaner could get to the hotel. 10mins of unchallenged burglary time! When a woman arrived, no apology for no one being there, or failing to notify of the altered time, just a demand for ID which she wanted to take away with her. I refused. Suddenly a breakfast became extra and when I asked about the front door being open, I was told it got locked at 11pm - but was given no key for it. When I asked, I was told that I needed to be in a different room for that. I was then told that I asked too many questions and was told I couldn't stay there. hen we went outside, she locked the front door and I had to remind her about health and safety for the other guests being locked in or out.

Was an emergency replacement when a B&B overbooked and had no room for us.
Out of the way, in a residential area, between Windsor Castle and Heathrow, with no restaurants, bars, entertainment near-by.
Rooms were unfortunately not suitable and we rebooked at an airport hotel instead.
Owner said he could not cancel our booking, but expedia would do it, so there would be no charge (still have not seen the credit 2 weeks after contacting Expedia). Owners seemed polite and understanding of our desire for a more suitable area, so I do expect a credit to follow.

Booked to stay at this guest house and when we arrived the man took us down to a shallet room what was freezing cold with no signal on phones or WiFi.... We asked to be moved to a room in the guest house which he did move us to a room with no working TV but that was fine for us but they was white marks on the curtains (I dread to think what they are), boogie wiped on walls., the shower was broken off the wall, freezing cold water n couldn't get warm, it smelt fusky in the whole of the guest house. Also IT IS NOT FREE BREAKFAST! apparently u don't get no continental breakfast.... Just a hot drink in the morning is what they called as breakfast so we got conned into paying £7.50pp for breakfast what was really poor with hardly anything on the plate... Literally 2 small cheap sausages.... 2 wafer thin bacon rashers.... Beans and egg... Owners did seem welcoming just was the state and condition of the gust house and the fact online it says breakfast but actually u have to pay for it and its very poor! I usually am easily pleased and I don't expect everything to be perfect but they was that many things wrong I had to leave this review.

This guest house could do with improvement. No tea or coffee in the rooms. The shared shower room is dated with the shower hose falling apart. No complimentary soap or shampoo. Nobody in charge to greet you on arrival. Breakfast starts at 9:30am which was over an hour too late for me, as this is accommodation aimed towards tradesmen not holiday guests. The tv in bedroom was dated and didn’t work. There was no airflow in the room, which is an issue as it’s next to Heathrow and for that matter there was no triple glazing. Again.. next to Heathrow! No fridge also. My total bill came to £43. Considering it had no drinks, no breakfast and basically nothing included at all. I think it’s more comparable to a hostel, and even they include more.

If you book here, expect a pretty basic experience. I’m sure there is better for less money locally.

I'd have rather stayed in a hostel

Booked to stay in a double room, when we arrived we were told that there were no more double rooms available and the only remaining available \"room\" was a small hovel with a single mattress in the corner of the room.
The bed itself was filthy and crammed into the corner of the room under what appeared to be a set of stairs.The bed was also tiny, and as a large gentleman, I could not fit in this at all.

In the end we left and went to the travel lodge down the road.

Someone tried to enter my room without knocking at 4:50AM. When they found it locked, they kept trying till I said “hello,” then disappeared. Either a drunk or someone with bad intensions. Pillows smelled of sweat from previous tenants. Had to kill a very large spider. Room and bathroom was very small with no A/C on a hot day. Otherwise, staff was friendly.

Declared continental breakfast I was told on arrival is only cereal then the dining room was still locked at 8 am. Mirror in room was propped against wall. No coffee or tea making was available. Hello Orbitz,

I have been a loyal and huge fan for years.

Last evening I booked what I preceived was a hotel via your site. The business was represented as a hotel and it turned out to be a home in a residential area. Lighting was poor and very difficult to find the address. I made the decision not to even go to the door of the private home as it was not what I expected or desired.

I use Orbitz extensively as you will see by my profile activity. I additionally recommend the site and almost feel I should be considered and employee as much as I refer and recommend the services provided by your company.

At the end of the experience, I lost my payment for the nights lodging and had to rely on a co-worker to help me to find another property as the app will not allow you to book in the previous day after midnight as it transitions to the new day.

Im sorry, I generally do not write reviews as my experiences are normally excellent. Id like to warn travellers that this hotel is a scam, con/rip off. Absolutely appalling - it was the most expensive stay of our trip @ £200 for 1 night, I would not have paid £50. I joined every guest in the corridor that evening, all complaining (Faulty Towers style). One guest was charged £500 for one night, shared bathroom and no door handle. The bed sheets were nylon and unwashed ... the previous night we stayed in a 4* hotel in the centre of London for £99 and it was wonderful. Hotels.com need to review this so called guest house, It is by far not what is described on the webpage and I believe a scam.

Rotting floors, bathroon fan didn't work, on site parking full, had to park in Street, Shampoo dispenser in shower broken. Bed hard as a rock. Television cables with power pack dangling and secured with tape. Breakfast was bland. Coffee was good. Late check out at noon but we left as early as possible. Don't bother booking it.

This hotel is advertised 2.2 miles from Egham that was the reason for booking its actually 5.9 miles and £17 on a taxi from their.
First room only shared bathroom to up grade £10 which I did, Cooked Breakfast described by owner as fresh cooked was actually frozen sausage again at a cost in advance which I paid for. Overall very disappointed with 20 min walk to nearest place to eat which was better than the breakfast food at guest House but pub that only sold curries (but a nice curry)

On arrival was shown a single room, even though I paid for a double room. No en suite, even though I also paid for this. Was told if I wanted a double room it would be £10 extra, and if I wanted an en suite it would be £10 extra. Even though i'd already paid for both of these in the price! Sheets disgusting and dirty, brown sheets with brown stains. Had to shower twice because of how dirty I felt before and after bed. Furniture all broken and fallen apart, shower disgusting. Avoid this hotel at all costs, it is horrendous. Wasnt expecting amazing for the price paid, but I atleast expect it to be clean and to be what I have paid for.

Beware! We showed up and no one was there!

We did not get to stay at this hotel, when we arrive NO ONE WAS THERE. Our reservations were confirmed, we showed up to checkin at 8pm, checkin was until 10pm. We waited 45 minutes in an empty building, ringing the door bell and knocking on doors and no one came. So we left.

Nice hotel close to London Heathrow airport

We were greeted by a very nice gentleman, Tony, who showed us our room and gave us several room options on the night of our reservation. He was friendly and helpful and made excellent recommendations for food in town. Our room was roomy and clean. We've been traveling for almost two weeks and this is the first place where the bathroom smelled bleachy-clean. You just know it was cleaned throughly compared to several recent bookings in other hotels. Breakfast was delicious thanks to our lovely hostess, Monica! Would most definitely stay here again!!

What a dump

Had to stay here because it was the only room we could find due to being stranded because of British Air system outage. We paid seven times the normal room rate. Owner seemed reluctant to give us a receipt to help make claim with British Air. When we asked about price gouging because of the BA problem, he told us that was what Expedia does and he could not control it. His wife would not call us a cab for the next day but gave us a phone number instead.

Based on this experience, I will no longer use Expedia for room bookings. There should be some charge limit above the regular rate that is allowed in situations like this. Perhaps double the regular rate, not seven times.

Overpriced for what it is

Overpriced for what it is. You need ID when you arrive and they take a photocopy of it, which was not stated on Expedia. Gave them my Tesco Clubcard as it had my name on it and they accepted that. My room (Twin room) right at the front of the house (ex living room) had small flies, which were flying around in my room. There were stains on my pillows and duvet. The shower wall was cracked and the shower area was rather small. The toilet roll holder and the main plug was broken. There was a fridge in the room, which they could of had coffee/tea making facilities instead of an empty fridge. On a positive note, the breakfast was good (fry up, cereal etc).

close to Heathrow

Met by very pleasant people on arrival, hotel is unusual as it has communal tea making facilities rather than en-suite. Room a bit tatty and mattresses only so-so but slept well enough, plane noise not an issue although detectable. Parking a bit limited, bit of a squeeze but I got the last available slot on the car park - that said it was quite late in the evening so presume everybody else was already in by then.

Nice people, friendly. Rather dated but was probably better than expected for a B+B close to Heathrow at the price. Made the mistake of NOT checking the booking and ended-up with a shared bathroom. If in need of a room near Heathrow again i will book an en-suite and stay again.

Couldn't have been better

I travel a lot and stay at a lot of hotels and guesthouses etc. I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and it was excellent and has to be one of the best places I have ever stayed at, I will definitely be back to stay again. From breakfast to the rooms to the garden views everything was amazing. The owners were very polite and helpful, a touch which I personally love in hotels. The room was very clean and quite large. Great value for money.

Be aware, guesthouse in need of refurbishmen

Stayed here for one night due to cancelled flight and no available hotel accommodation near Heathrow. Arrived just before 10pm, accommodation poorly lit on the outside, no visible signpost to indicate that we had arrived at the accommodation due to vans blocking view. Sign post on front door requesting guest remove muddy boots before entering was an indicator that accommodation was mainly used by tradesmen. Had to search for reception area. Pleasant enough greeting when we eventually found the proprietors. Stale odour throughout the building, rooms in urgent need of refurbishment, e.g exposed piping in ensuite, towel rail rusty, ill fitting toilet seat, bedding needs replaced pillows had stale odour, TV remote missing. Only one towel provided per occupant all at An extortonate price for a small triple room. Recently stayed in 5 star hotel in central London for less than room rate here. On hindsight, we would have preferred to spend the night at the airport.

I stayed in a single room with a shared bathroom. The bathroom had no soap to wash your hands after the toilet or anything for the shower. I explained this to the owner who said they didn't put them in there because the visitors were taking the soap and that you should bring your own. I explained this wasn't acceptable and they will look into fixing this. I hope they do.

Deserted middle of no where

We arrived a little later in the night and there was no one there to greet us and the place was all dark and creepy. Smelled like soup and was in the middle of no where. From the airport not a single taxi wanted to take us \"all the way out there\" for less than £50. We ended up leaving and staying at a Holiday Inn closer to London.

Really great Guesthouse, comfy rooms , very helpful staff and had a lovely breakfast . The staff are always on hand to help and provide information on decent restaurants good transport links to heath row airport,will be back to stay again in room 11.

Short notice, one night.
Could of got high pulling on the car park from the amount of smoke emanating from the various white van drivers! room in the garden chalet was noisy all night from late and early arrivals / departures. Being a wooden building every sound travels ! Cups never arrived for the tea / coffee facilities. No wifi in the garden rooms.

WORST experience ever!

Left Heathrow 9:15pm, taxis doubled fee or refused to drive us since it was five miles away. Airport helper arranged driver to get us there, delay caused us to arrive shortly after the 10:00pm check-in deadline, place was totally dark, no lights on, no one around! Door was open, we entered, found phone #, called, man came & said we're out of luck, he didn't have keys, we couldn't stay, despite two rooms already pd for! He'd call taxi for us to return to airport. We'd already arranged & pd for a ride to airport at 6:00am so we'd be out that money too. He then said there was ONE other option, if we each paid another 20 pounds, for \"late arrival fee\" he'd see what he could do. We had no choice, agreed to pay, and wouldn't you know - the keys \"magically\" appeared! Room & bathroom was dirty, it's in airport flight path, heard planes take off the whole 7 hrs we were there. Never again & can't recommend!
