The hotel staff were courteous, friendly and professional which goes along way, considering the restrictions of where the hotel guests could have access within the hotel. I would recommend the castle hotel to everyone. Lovely hotel, great location and the staff were so friendly and helpful. On arrival to the hotel, I went to check in, and found I’d booked the wrong date, I was a week early. Expedia did nothing whatsoever to help me, apart from try to charge me the same price of the room again, to change my booking, even though I spend £1000s through them every year. It was my mistake, but I found Expedias response to the situation very disappointing. However, the lady on reception and someone from the reservations team…. I can’t remember either of their names, did everything they could to help and even got me a refund on the room that I incorrectly booked and I can’t thank them enough. If you ever stay in Windsor, then make sure you stay here

Great location. They were able to accommodate an early check in after a redeye which was much appreciated. Rooms are a bit dated and have a damp smell. While they did notify us they were under renovation, which I appreciated, it would be helpful to other guests if they convey that most rooms are outside the building and you have a bit of a walk to carry them. This includes narrow stairs. We are pretty fit and in our 40s and would have been concerned if our older relatives would have been with us during this part of our trip. It’s a lovely town and we hope to return to see the renovations so we can give it another chance.

The Castle Hotel Windsor is an excellent hotel to stay in. The staff were absolutely wonderful. We never wanted for anything. This is a full service hotel with dining, an outside seating area and a lovely bar area. They even have afternoon tea for an additional fee. The room was large, very clean, had amazing amenities, room service and a fantastic bed. I can't say enough great things about thos hotel and would encourage everyone visiting to stay.

The Castle Hotel is all about location. Wathing the William's Tower day and night from.your windows is quite a treat, but that's almost all what they have to offer. Could be an average 3 Star hotel at any other place. Housekerping was terrible: dirty non working windows, no vaccunn the very wasted carpeta never during our 5 nights booking. The welcome dish at arrival was a nice touch, but would not consider eating nothing with room service since u could watch the same plates during long hours laying on the floor with dirty linnen! Breakfast ok. Not a fan of the extra £ 5,oo + service for each Eggs Royal, if included in the room & breakfast quote as usual sounds better for me. During my last couple of tours of the UK post pandemic I've found very poor service and many so called 4 or 5 stars hotels badly managed and un need an update son.

I recently stayed at The Castle Hotel Windsor.
Positives:
The location is excellent, right in the heart of Windsor, and the bed was very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep.
Negatives:
Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the room let the stay down. There were noticeable stains on the carpet, sofa, walls, and even the bath, which made the room feel poorly maintained.
Service at the bar was also disappointing. On one occasion, despite there being four staff on shift and the bar being quiet, I waited 30 minutes for a drink I had ordered, which never arrived. Instead, two staff members spent considerable time telling two Asian customers that the kitchen had closed and they couldn’t order food, despite it being only 8:42pm (well before the stated 9pm closing).
Overall:
The location and bed were the only real highlights. Given the issues with cleanliness and service, I would be very unlikely to return
