The hotel looks nice from the outside but when you go in into your room carpet had stains, bathroom smelled awful, the pictures they showed on the rooms when you booked don't look nothing like when you see it on person. Staff its nice but the rooms are not .old dirty and creepy. The only nice thing is the you can see the windsor castle from the window because the balcony looks old and unsteady wont step on it at all. Windows didn't shut closed and no central heat you had to plug electrial heaters. Won't be staying there again.

The outside of the property was aesthetically pleasing, however the inside was a completely different story.
Reception was tucked away almost under the stairs, not very open or welcoming, the decor was dated & tired, worn carpets on the stairs & the decor was in much need of updating.
The lift was not working & from all accounts hadn't been for some time. A worker took our bags to our room (3 adults sharing) he had a very strong smell of B.O which lingered long after he had left.
The room was quite large with 3 windows, however 1 window would not close & had to be wedged with a spoon. As the room was cold, obviously the central heating wasn't functioning as we had x2 oilf filled radiators. We had a double bed & a pull out settee bed, both were lumpy, worn & not particularly comfortable, the pillows certainly weren't hotel pillows as they took were hard & lumpy. The room didn't smell fresh either, very musty & in much need of a decent clean as there was rubbish under the wardrobe & bed.

First impressions at reception and check in were excellent. Room was big and very clean. French doors had gaps and let in cold and noise and boy was it noisy from 3pm to 2am it was non stop, motorbikes, car horns and people shouting and screaming. 6am started again with lorries and dustbins being emptied. Perfect location for all shops and tourist attractions but if you want a good nights sleep forget it.

Communal areas are in need of investment. Our room was clean but dated. Bathroom and shower were refurbished and good. There is no food or drinks served so had to go out for breakfast and meals. Location is the main reason you would stay being central in Windsor right opposite the Castle entrance and really close to the station. The price to stay is cheap so you do get what you pay for.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was amazing and the parking was simple to negotiate. The room was the basic room but there was a huge crack in the sink and a very large stain on the curtains which was a little off putting.

Well this hotel falls far short of expectations. It is in a prime location opposite Windsor Castle. The reception area is tucked around the side on entry and not inviting. We had several problems with our room. Things not working and poor housekeeping. The over mirror lights not working were reported yesterday and still not working. The lift is not working either. Carpets are worn in several places despite not being open that long. Our room 218 is large and has a prime view to the castle. Overall this does not meet our expectations or offering value for money. The other chain hotels offer better facilities at a much lower cost. The owners need to review the management of this hotel to put this right

The heating in the room was broken, apparently someone was meant to look at it but they didn't. We ended up wih 2 heaters on wheels to keep the room warm. The wall lights in the bathroom didn't turn on. The shower water was cold, just about warm enough to have a quick wash but I couldnhavr washed my hair. I told the nice lady at reception but there was no other rooms available to have a shower in as it was fully booked! View of castle is nice plus the area is all walkable to nearby shops and pubs. Room was small. Bed was a full. Can’t fit a bigger bed with the room size. Mattress was old, hard, and springy. No heat in room. They set up an old space heater which barely kept room warm as long as bathroom door was closed. Price is too much for an overnight.

Great location, especially if you book a castle view room but this is the only positive. Booked a castle view and was given a rear facing room, reception changed this to a 2nd floor castle view room but the room wasn't prepared, we walked into an unmade bed and unclean room. Back to reception and they gave us the 'best room' which had a great view but was freezing cold, windows are single glazed and draughty. Hot tap in the bathroom did not work at all, had to use the one in the bath and there was no hairdryer.

The Hotel is quite tired in terms of amenities. The room looked really nice when we checked in (Traditional English Vibe), huge bathroom, tall ceilings. However, The bath didnt run properly, there was a continually leaking tap which disturbed our sleep, the sink pipes made a really high pitched squeak until we ran the tap for a bit (this was throughout the whole night). The shower is absolutely huge but the shower head is a single, fixed one which jetted water at a completely unusable angle (also annoying for women wanting to keep their hair dry). The double bed was two singles bumped together and the curtains didnt close properly so there was blinding light from quite an early hour.
Having said this, the staff were excellent prior to our arrival and we quite easily arranged for a late check out at no extra cost. We only stayed for 1 night so didnt bother to complain or ask for an alternative room but I definitely wouldnt stay there again for the cost of a room.

This is a beautiful looking hotel in prime position for the castle, town and river. My room had a fantastic view of the castle, but was a little tired. The bathroom was in a similar condition with a leaking tap. Unfortunately the hotel is very noisy and you can hear people moving around. I could also hear various bathroom extractor fans which were very loud.

The communal areas of the hotel were okay and clean, but the room I was given was VERY tired and dated and very much overdue in terms of redecorating, needing new flooring and needing new bathroom fittings.

A very good, central Windsor location opposite Windsor Castle. Entrance was not very apparent as a Hotel Entrance. Check In was OK but basic. The rooms are in need of a major renovation, whilst acceptable needed a lot of repair and modernisation e.g. worn out carpets, paintwork badly damaged, bathroom in poor condition although good shower . The bed was just adequate as a double, but small. Wi-Fi was good, TV good size and OK if you could work out the channels.

Was quite disappointing! We booked a luxury room, based off the pictures on hotel.com. we were given room 103 which is not luxury by any means, it was actually an accessible room. When we opened the curtains, the view was horrible. Window was full of stains and could just seen bins, a used mattress and what we assumed were workers from a restaurant sat in the alley! We had no bath in the room - which we thought was included with luxury. We ended up complaining and the lady behind the desk said she had no more rooms - after a bit of back and forth we eventually were offered a new room which was better, with a partial castle view and a bath but unfortunately - no plug for the bath so we couldnt use it anyway! The bed was also two single beds pushed together to disguise as a double bed.
All in all, the hotel is a good location but I wouldn't rush back. I didn't think either room I had looked anything like the 'luxury' rooms pictured on Hotels.com

The man behind front desk on the evening of 22 Sep was obnoxious and inattentive. I felt like I was treated poorly because perhaps I am from a different culture than he was. On the morning of the 23 Sep, however, the was a young lady who was very professional, attentive, listened to me and and was quite helpful. I just wanted to let you know that the man on the evening of 22 Sep is not representing your business very well. I own 2 small companies and I would surely hire the young lady. And I would most asuredly get rid of the the gentleman if he was scaring off business like that.

Great location for touring Windsor castle. It’s an older property and has some quirks. Our rooms toilet was repaired improperly and didn’t function, we found it late at night and wasn’t too bad an inconvenience since we only spent a night.

Clean & friendly staff. Be prepared to carry your luggage up and down stairs. Location is close to Heathrow (used Uber), shopping, castle, & the Long Walk. Felt safe walking in the shopping district in the evenings. Lots of restaurants nearby and people sitting outside the castle in the evenings. Only issue was it being noisy both nights with people partying at a nearby club or arguing middle of the night out on the street. Not the fault of the hotel.
