Rooms were older style but clean and plenty of room. Staff were very helpful especially Joy and Ashley. Breakfast was normal buffet but nothing else around so suggest pay the night before to get discount. A little out of the way if you don’t have transport but ride cars come quickly.

Our initial welcome at check in could have been a bit more friendly.
The room was clean and tidy.
Breakfast was great - the food was a good standard, loads of choice and absolutely fantastic service from the waitress.
My only gripe was regarding the parking. For a start it's a sharp turn getting through the barriers and I scuffed the front wing slightly which was annoying. Then the instructions for payment referred to 'day visitors' but not 'overnight visitors' so I didn't know whether to pay at the machine or what, given the amount of notices that warn of tickets! Thankfully I was right not to pay, instead I just needed to give reception my reg number and pay them directly.
I'd happily stay here again safe in the knowledge that I know how to navigate the parking!

As others have mentioned, the hotel does look a little dated, but it is clean, which is the most important thing. For most guests, it's simply a place to sleep for the night rather than somewhere to spend extended periods of time.

The staff on check-in Saturday were quite abrupt. They weren't rude, but they lacked the customer-focused approach you would normally expect in a customer-facing role. In contrast, the staff on Sunday were absolutely superb and made me feel like a VIP.

The English breakfast buffet was decent and certainly sets guests up well for the next leg of their journey. Continental breakfast options are also available. However, the hotel signage advertised breakfast at £12.50 per person, yet I was charged £15.00.

Similarly, the official website currently advertises free parking, but I was charged £20 (£10 per 24 hours).

The increase in breakfast cost and the unexpected parking charge didn't affect my budget, but I can understand why many guests would find this frustrating. If the advertised prices and parking information are no longer accurate, they should be updated accordingly.

I would stay again if I had to, but it would not be my first choice.

Unfortunately the rooms are very dated, and the Club upgrade we paid for didn't feel very luxurious with lots of stains on the furniture, tile chips in the bathroom, a leaking bath, and felt like it hadn't been updated in about 30 years :(

After 2.5 weeks of 2*/3*/4* hotel stays throughout England during a record breaking heatwave this was the ONLY hotel with A/C, a fridge in the room, and less importantly a phone. PLENTY of parking, nice restaurants and VERY helpful staff, and only 15 minutes from Heathrow. Will definitely stay again (especially during a heatwave!!)

Stayed over from Friday night to Sunday morning. Staff very welcoming and quick to check you in. Breakfast, bar and dinner options great and have everything you will need. Chef will even do a well done fried egg on request!

Pity the pool and poolside amenities were not open. The gym had enough space and machines for travellers trying to keep on top of their fitness. Opening earlier than 8am at the weekend would have suited me better though.
Lastly, happy that I could park outside the reception door with a Blue Badge, but unfortunately was charged. Would hope that they would institute a Blue Badge Concession in the future.

Good little gym thats open early too. Hope the pool is getting fixed tho as someone there told us it has been closed for nearly 7 months now, the hotel would have eveything u need then!
Only fault we had with the hotel was when we put the do not enter our room door card on our door it was completly ignored and placed on our bed in the room. We very was disappointed with that.

Room was reasonably clean, albeit it dated. The bathroom door had warped and there was hair on the tiles.
The iron wasn’t as steam iron which worked but not the best.
This hotel has good parking, spa and pool.
The breakfast was a good selection of foods.
What made the stay great was the staff, especially the breakfast staff, warm friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again just for the staff.

We were looked after from beginning to end. Matthew checked us in and out. He was very polite and helpful.

The room was lovely, no issues at all. Very quiet and beds were so comfy.

For breakfast we had the best service I've had outside of a cruise ship. We were looked after by Joy and Jenny who were so attentive and kind. They made our kids feel really important and they loved staying here.

Would 100% recommend. Great lego land too!

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our experience. The room was not clean and had a strong unpleasant smell. We also saw a cockroach inside the room, which was extremely upsetting and unacceptable.

In addition, one of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because of the swimming pool facilities. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the pool was not working. This information should have been clearly communicated before our stay.

We also found the customer service from staff to be poor and unhelpful during our visit.

Overall, this stay did not meet the standard we expected, especially considering the amount we paid.

The hotel was good for our stay for racing as near the course. However the breakfast was disappointing and the coffee was cold so I couldn’t drink it. We requested a refund for the breakfast and after some wrangling it was refunded. However what I am most disappointed with is the automated system the Copthorne chain now implemented and being told the staff can’t override anything. For example a later check out, which we requested cannot be arranged as a matter of discretion due to the system. Hotels are a hospitality industry and as such human interaction is absolutely required at front desk level and is very much appreciated. It falls very short in comparison to hotels which can accommodate requests and services, instead of being told “we can’t do this/that” because of a fixed system.

The property is close to the airport and a train station. The restaurant and breakfast are very good and there are a few places to get food near by. I had some trouble with the cleaning staff cleaning my room properly, but the front desk was quick to solve the issues. Certain parts of the room need minor repairs (for instance, the seal around the glass shower wall had a leak). Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Great staff and lovely room. However, we chose this hotel to use the pool and spa but it was closed indefinitely and that had not been mentioned. Also, the week before I’d been offered to pay for an upgrade to a club room which I decided not to. When we arrived, or room wasn’t ready so they gave me a complimentary upgrade to a club room. One of the perks was access to the club lounge. I tried to access the lounge but the door wouldn’t open. I asked at reception and was told that the lounge was no longer in use. However, the previous week they would have charged me £30 for the upgrade but without the perks.

Enormous great hotel that looks like Dallas from the 80s! Very clean and well serviced, choice as to whether to have a full room clean or just top up amenities each day. Super friendly and very helpful team. Car park is £10 for each 24h which isn't quite made clear at time of booking, you need to look for it, so make sure you add this to the cost of your stay. Very convenient location.

Arrived to see posters indicating that a boiler was being replaced between 10pm and 4am - there was no mention of this prior to or after booking. Fire alarm went off at 1.45am, spoke to reception who said it was a false alarm. The fire alarm light kept flashing after this. I went to reception at 2.15am who told me the light wasn't flashing as they'd reset the alarm (they didn't ask to check). Went back to my room and at about 2.30am reception called to ask me if the light was still flashing (the light they said wasn't flashing). I was then woken around 3.15am by the sound of drilling or sawing from the boiler work - the sound of which had been going on during the night. The alarm light was still flashing at this point as well.

Worst hotel stay I've ever had. No hint of an apology from reception staff at check out who merely said they'd inform tech services to look at the light.

The staff were ok. the houskeeper how attend us didn't know who to sort a baby cot and we have to call several times to fix it. the breakast varieaty was good mixed of english breakfast and pastries andd fruits and bread. one of the staff who was tidying the breakfast was't very polite,she was cleaning the only2 coffees machies before the close time, and I was unable to take my coffee as she was rude on her approach and didn't give alternative of apologies, very rude face. the rest of the staff didn;t see them smile or give a nice gesture.all very quiet and plain face. Maybe some training in communication and costumer service will be good.

We were not informed in advance that the swimming pool would be closed, which left our children very disappointed. We raised the issue with reception, but the staff were unhelpful and showed little interest in resolving the situation.

Even after management became involved, we did not receive an apology. While they offered to refund our car parking, they were unable to process the refund back onto my card. After waiting 45 minutes with no resolution, I eventually gave up.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, our initial room had several moths, which was not ideal. We were aware that a wedding was taking place at the hotel; however, the music was so loud that it made it impossible to sleep. As we were travelling with four young children, this made the situation particularly challenging.

To their credit, the staff handled the situation well and moved us to a room on the fourth floor, which we were grateful for. That said, it was unreasonable to expect guests to pay for a room where the noise levels made it so difficult to rest.

Overall this is a good value hotel. For me it worked well as I had been workign in Milton Keynes and was flying from Heathrow on business the next day. It was well priced, accessible and serivce was good. Room was comfortable - if a bit dated. Food was good, bar staff were great, tv had Champions League match I wanted to watch. It has a good gym set up, and breakfast was of a good standard. 20 minutes drive from Terminal 3. All in all worth staying here. Don't expect anything special - this is a functional mid-market hotel but in that field it's well positioned.
