This is a place for when you want to toyally switch off, relax and gave a great nights sleep. Having no TV on the room, meant we went to bed early, heard no a sound all night and came away fully refreshed after one night. There are a couple of nice pubs and restaurants in walking distance and the Thai Orchid is fab.

Dreadful value for money. Club Room had no arm chairs; no TV; no wardrobe or chest of drawers for clothes; no carpet or rug; no \"extras\" in bathroom like tissues, sanitary bags, shower caps etc.; no safe; and no advice on booking that buffet breakfast only offered cereals, fruit & toast or croissants. All this for over £450 a night. Avoid!

The refurbishment by the new owners is complete and has been very well done. We have stayed both before (comfy, convenient but run down) and after, this is our second time with the new owners. Now very comfortable and a pleasure to stay. Excellent location for Bray eateries and lovely spot on the river. Garden down to the river is particularly nice on a good day with nice outdoor seating. Perfect all round and well done the young staff.

This is a beautiful building with a colorful history that has lovingly been converted into a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are spacious. I had a river view. I met Helle who was delightful, and very accommodating when I had to make an early departure, ensuring I was fueled up for the day. Great dining options within an easy walk. Wonderful find!

Great location near Heathrow & Bray
Wonderful location, close to Bray (walking distance). We've stayed here before & will again. The honesty bar was very poorly supplied which is why I marked it down a little.

The hotel was very charming and our room was lovely. However, our shower did not drain properly therefore we had to keep shutting it off and tapping the drain itself with our foot to get it to drain. The plumbing by the toilet was leaking water also.
I had a massage and it was in an unoccupied room which they did not have the heat on. It was freezing! Definitely ruined my experience.

was pretty good except they never communicated how we need to pay the masseuse (credit card or cash) and we never knew the amount of the massage until we were actually getting our massage.
Considering the cost of the room I was not thrilled with our experience.

Lovely building and lovely room. Hotel manager was really welcoming and explained where everything was. Found it odd no TV in the bedroom, but that’s not the vibe of the hotel. Could have done with some soundproofing between bedrooms as we got couldn’t go to sleep because of the noise coming from one of the other rooms.

Beautiful building, lovely entrance, great breakfast choice presented really well. The bed was comfy too. We booked a small double, which was indeed small, only one bedside table, no TV (we dont often watch a lot of TV, but it’s still nice to have access to one on a wet July evening). The fan on the bedside table was dangerous, it did not have a cage covering the fins.

Overnight stay en route from LHR to Cotswolds
Guest house is easily reached by car from LHR, located across from Maidenhead Rowing Club in iconic Thames valley setting. Bed and facilities were extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts were delightful.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The River Arts Club a very warm welcoming place ideally situated for a host of very good eateries and attractions, we visited Windsor Castle stayed here and ate at the hinds Head Inn all within easy reach of each other, the staff here were extremely hospitable nothing was too much trouble and they treated us as guests not numbers, so refreshing. Looking forward to staying again especially in the summer as there is a very serene garden with great views over the river Thames. Weldone River Arts Club keep going.

Everthing was good, but not exceptional, no powerpoint in bathroom was annoying. Things advertised as being available in your room were not provided eg water, fruit, no soap, only one towel. Just small things really but we paid good money for the room and expect these little things to be right, but on the bright side Ian Latifa were very helpful and rectified the issues that we brought up.

This property is a beautiful arty large Victorian property with lovely paintings and quirky character but it’s sadly in need of updating facilities like painting outside and plugs in rooms mine had only one plug in my room that was accessible by moving the side table and no where near a mirror for blow drying my hair, needs an uplift in facilities. However the river view was lovely just needs tarting up which I would imajine would cost a fortune. Owners were lovely, helpful, and the building historic but badly needs some new leather furniture and outside painting. Garden lovely and relaxed atmosphere that I loved ! Had a beautiful glass of wine there,

Big issue with noisy guests using the honesty bar until the early hours = badly disturbed sleep. Another guest had to ask them to stop and be considerate.
The hotel felt informal more like a home which some will probably find charming but if I’m honest I left feeling a bit disappointed. I think it’s a slick operation but some serious money needs to be spent to make it a luxury experience.

Highly recommend if you want somewhere to stay in the area or are travelling and want somewhere with a traditional English feel but wonderfully eclectic decor. This is the most idyllic, stunning, charming, and romantic hotel in which I have ever stayed. The only thing I wish is to have stayed here longer. It felt like I was living in a fairy tale. After traveling to multiple places for over 2 weeks the River Arts Club was our last stop before heading home. It was a delight to walk into. Such a beautiful place and our room was stunning. It truly was like staying in a friends country home on the river. We only wish we had planned to stay longer. Next time we will spend more time!!

Wonderful old men’s club turned into an inn with large, high ceilinged rooms and a very homey living area for sitting in the evening. Many rooms look out on the Thames River and in nice days breakfast could be taken sitting outside in the lovely garden. Breakfast was perfect-fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli pastries and cheeses with fresh pots of tea or coffee. Our room has a door to the outside and a large sofa looking out on the river. We loved our three nights there.

I loved this beautiful Victorian mansion. The rooms were individually decorated in a manner befitting the ethos of the place. Original art adorned the walls. Service was very friendly and relaxed. The lawn leads down to the river and has several comfortable seating areas. Continental style Breakfast was lovely. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but is perfect as a base for visiting the excellent Michelin started restaurants nearby.

Loved our stay at the River Arts Club when in the area to eat at The Fat Duck. We decided last minute to stay the night before also so that we didn't need to travel in Storm Eunice, and it was the best decision. Aside from avoiding unsafe travel, it meant we had chance to properly relax in this lovely, quirky, boutique hotel - both in the room, which had a gorgeous window and view of the Thames, and also in the beautiful lounge area. The hosts were really helpful and welcoming, and it was an all round wonderful stay. Also, the continental breakfast was really enjoyable, with good quality food included. We just need an excuse to come back now !

We stayed at the River Arts Club for two nights... We arrived a little early but was able to check in and were made welcome. We were showed to our room which was of a good size, however the cleaning could be improved - We found a sock and used shower gels from previous guest. It felt a little unkept and not what we expected for the price paid(not a cheap hotel)

Great location, very interesting place to stay. Good continental breakfast and lovely hosts. My only complaint was the shower was only luke warm and the bedroom could have done with a bit of an uplift e.g curtains not hung properly, marks on carpet. However, a good stay, I enjoyed the experience.

We got upgraded to a large room which was very nice! My son’s room also got upgraded too! We only stayed one night in transit and everything were pretty good. Only thing we found was the room we stayed in, both lounge chairs at the sitting area were broken. Good we’ve checked so we did not sit on them.
