What is this hotel like if you're not part of the target market? Off-season and mid-week the prices are good, so even without kids we decided to stay. Short version: It's pretty odd, but it works well for the price, and the breakfast is very good.

First, it's all set up to be very busy, with online check-in and no human interaction. It's strange to be there when it's quiet, but hard for the systems to adapt. For example though mostly empty, trying to arrange for a check-in before 4pm (when the automated system is programmed to first release your keys) was impossible: The number in the booking email was never answered, and the response to an email request was direction to use a different phone number (with different music) that also was never answered. Showing up early caused a bit of confusion - there is no registration desk, it's computer only. But the 'concierge' staff were lovely, and after consultation with an unseen manager, we were told we could check in early, though for a fee nearly equal to one nights' stay. Not a lot of choice at that point so we agreed, and they kindly looked after luggage until the room was ready. And in the end there was no fee charged.

The Kingdom room was good (and would have been great if we'd brought two kids, and ok even with three). We didn't get into the pool, hours are very limited.

But the breakfast was far above average for a production breakfast buffet, a good variety. Strange to book for an empty bfast room.

But recommended!

Brilliant stay! The kids loved it, however one thing I will say is we was in room 207 and the treasure chest hunt within the room does not match up and it was impossible so I ended up goggling it and other people also staying in that room said that it didn’t work so luckily the code was shared on there which we used. We will definitely be back as my children would like to try the priate room next!

Excellent hotel. Couldn't believe it until I saw it in the flesh.
Check in was as smooth as possible with helpful host.
Family adventure room was amazing. Bunk beds and an extra bed were to one part of the room, with it's own TV.
Rest of the room was spacious.
Toilet even had a built in child seat. All immaculatey clean.
Bricks restaurant for as much good quality breakfast as you could manage, was included in the price.
Park tickets were extra.
Amazing amount of Lego play areas, which everyone got involved with.
10 out if 10. Couldn't have been any better.

Magical but not clean, and great GF breakfast!

This place is really magical, fun and family friendly.

Check in was long winded in regards to sorting a card, and not being told which room we were heading too etc..

And although magical and really cool themed rooms to distract you…..the village cabins are fairly grubby - it was sons birthday and he didn’t want to play with balloons as dust and hair was all over them. There was writing and crayons etc on wall and the toilet was dirty too.

But overall the magical distraction keeps your eye away and your child has so so much fun that the rest doesn’t matter! (But if your thinking of spending out and expecting magical and immaculate don’t do it)

All you can eat buffet breakfast and cooked breakfast is super yummy and you can meet a character which was really brilliant!!! Including Gluten free!!

Evening entertainment was lacking but the Lego bricks in the restaurant help! (Food and drinks pricey as expected!) we ordered takeaway! Don’t forget to ask for your parking vouchers so you can go in and out for free if needed.

Terrible customer service, no hotel guest perks

Comfortable clean hotel and sweet nature trail. Customer service absolutely terrible. There is a quiz and treasure chest in the room but our chest didn’t have a lanyard so afield at reception to have one and reception staff said they were discontinued at the hotel (even though lots of children wearing them). Saw the housekeeping team in the morning who had a whole stash of them and happily provided two for the children. Breakfast in the morning we were told we could only go at 9.30 (hotel guests can access park at 9.15). Went to breakfast at 9.15 and the breakfast hall was empty. Stood and waited 15 minutes to be seated (no one at the desk). Taken to table and just left, not not told about drinks or cereals or how to order so left waiting for a waiting member of staff to return. Husband ordered a Costa latte from the bar at usual Costa cost to be given Luke warm water with done coffee granules thrown in and the “barista” to then argue that it was a latte (manger stepped in and made an acceptable latte). Went to the park and unlike the other two hotels there is no dedicated entrance for hot guests so had to join very long queue to enter the park. The hotel parking is with coach parking so took over an hour to exit at the end of the day. No swimming pool facilities like the other two onsite hotels. I absolutely do not recommend this hotel, especially for the very high cost. If you want to stay at a LEGOLAND hotel pay the extra to stay at one of the other two.

Fantastic time at the woodland village. Staff were absolutely wonderful, accommodation was great and the area was perfect for families. Lots of out door play areas. Lego creations spots inside the clubhouse.

Hotel was great including room treasure hunt & surprise gifts & playroom.
Food in Bricks & park not! Mainly unhealthy options for children apart from fruit. Cereals all least healthy options. No wholemeal bread. No dairy free options at ice cream station.
Fizzy drink stations very obvious in hotel & park water refill not. We had booked 2 nights dinner but cancelled the 2nd.
Other than food hotel was a fun experience and our 2 grandsons 5yrs & 3.5yrs really enjoyed it.The staff were very helpful when there was a surprise missing from the safe. Swimming pool also good. It would help if there was somewhere a 2nd parent / carer could sit and watch as i had to leave session earlier to fetch forgotten goggles but would have to have got changed again to go back in. Staff members helped by taking them in.

But I would have to say the staff let us down with having little to no information when I asked something but they where very friendly but this cost us more money because we didn’t know about the drinks had to be paid for the next day we weren’t given the correct info when we arrived about the hunt in lodge for the Lego set for the kids and what happens in general, overall I don’t think I would make the trip again because it seemed at times to be more of a con than and money grab than a enjoyable stay.

Good but could be better

Overall brilliant - perfect for kids and very approachable staff.

The check in was very quick and technology based( it was self service which was neither good nor bad).

We got to the lodge and settled in with no problem, opting for showers however we realised the shower design means that any water splashing off you from the waterfall shower meant it soaked the floor outside the shower, luckily we had a bath mat but that was soaked after 3 showers.

We made our way to the restaurant and the vibe we got straight away was Butlins vibe with kids entertainment put on etc. Food was very overpriced, a burger was £21 for adults and a kids 2 course meal was £23( we heard another family ask how much the single course kids meal was and they were shocked when staff said its £17). I dont consider that a family friendly price after paying upwards of £200 for the night stay. The food was beafeater quality rather than over £100 for 3 drinks 3 meals quality.

The lodges are situated around some play parks which in principal are great as it means kids can play while parents can relax on the front porch. What actually happens is kids play until late hours( we went to sleep at 9:30 and they were still outside) and be generally loud. That however is something i would argue is our fault for going to a kids resort rather than kids being noisy.

Generally positive but does need to reflect on their pricing and designs of bathrooms.

We are just back from an amazing 3 night stay at the Legoland resort hotel. The hotel is fantastic, so much for children to do, we loved the Themed rooms and the entertainment for the kids. The early access to the parks when you purchase park tickets is an added bonus to beat some queues.
It’s just short walk from the hotel to the park. Would definitely stay again!

Lego characters scattered around the grounds are engaging for children. As is the Lego in rooms, VR effects and mood lighting in the bedroom. Play areas around the site are excellent and the reception and restaurant are well run and organised. Lodges are fairly basic but have all that you need.

Stayed in Woodland area and weren’t notified ahead of time that it’s a far walk from main hotel. Our already expensive Uber dropped us at the hotel only for us to find out that we had a long walk uphill to get to our actual room. We were also disappointed to find out we didn’t have access to the pool. Ended up okay as the kids loved the playgrounds at the place we were at. Restaurant waitress service was terrible! They stood around chatting and visiting while many of us tables were ready to order. You had to go up to a server to ask to order. They never checked on us to see if we needed anything else or how we were enjoying our meal either. Ate two meals there and this happened both times. Kids did love it there overall though, so although it was expensive, it was a really fun place to stay at. Just wish the servers would be more attentive and would actually pretend they care to help you even if they don't genuinely care.

The stay itself was amazing, we didn’t know that we where not booked at the main hotel rather than the new side which wouldn’t be ideal to get to if you don’t drive as they don’t tell you how far it is, the cleaners came in the morning but didn’t empty the bins, we just got new towels and the bed was made, but the rubbish was not taken out or the empty boxes in the room which was a bit of a let down.

Incredible for the little ones, amenities within the room were fantastic. They absolutely loved the treasure hunt.

The room was decorated amazingly and was extremely clean.

Just a good score with regard to the adults though, I would have liked to have some biscuits as part of the coffee-tea area as there was nothing with our brew after sitting down a long day. Milk is only just enough for one coffee or tea. Coffee machine made luke warm coffees. Headboard is rock hard would be more comfortable with a softer one.

Lovely stay at the Woodland Lodges, quite unexpected actually so thought I’d write a review. Staff were super attentive, the breakfast was great and the property and areas (mostly*) were exceptionally clean. *Mostly because there was a dog poo near the reception the whole time we were there that I had to keep reminding the kids to avoid. A fantastic stay though! Worth noting as it’s so close to Heathrow planes overhead are a permanent feature, through the night too, but it didn’t bother me.

The first property we had was clean but had some drainage issues, we spoke to staff that were helpful and friendly and they promptly moved us to another lodge.

We were unsure what to expect given the mixed reviews we read before arriving. We were pleasantly surprised with all aspects of the hotel. On arrival we were greeted and checked in instantly, despite how busy it was. The room was very clean and spacious. Extra little touches e.g the game to get the Lego gift, toiletries and hairdryer were a bonus.

The evening entertainment was very loud and not for us. Staff asking children to create LEGO models while they then sat round chatting - would have been much better if they had mixed and supported the children but that’s just an opinion.

Evening buffet and breakfast was always full with plenty of options. Some food was on the cold side as it had been there a while but most items were hot and fresh. Food was very expensive but was ‘all you can eat’ so children could try different foods if they did not like the 1st option.

We would 100% stay again if we had another offer. We do not think it is good value for money when paying over £400 per night.

Mixed feelings with a lack of advertised Christmas

Overall fun for young kids of course. Sadly a lot of things advertised didn’t happen such as the elf events after dinner. No one turned up and no one said it wasn’t happening. I went to reception and they didn’t know either. Unfortunately much of the pool splash area wasn’t working - sprinkler parts etc

Drinks in the playroom were £3.50 for a Coke and £5.50 for a brownie which is ridiculous. Even the staff said so.

The treasure hunt and little gifts are a lovely touch and themed rooms fun. Most staff delightful and doing their best.

I wasn’t particular impressed. Reception staff were very unhelpful at check in pointing to the screens, but I tried to explain I didn’t have the number it was asking for.
The room was a nice size family themed room with bunk beds and a double bed.
The bricks restaurant was over priced and very average. The staff made us stand at the counter until the restaurant opened, but I couldn’t understand why we could have just been seated to wait.
Breakfast was very average too, service was cold and no interaction with children or anything, which you would expect. It was just an undercooked buffet, but served from the kitchen.
Swimming pool was tired and busy, then cut short because someone had defecated in the pool. The changing room felt unclean and needs a revamp.
The Lego play room is excellent, but the coffee bar had a machine which didn’t work (very handy) and no explanation of where we could get a coffee. I found overall service so strangely cold / off.

Amazing hotel for families! So much detail into decorating, the rooms were themed fantastically - our little girl loves the treasure hunt within the room, excellent added touch!
