We stayed for 3 nights while transiting through London. It was convenient for us as we were visiting relatives who lived in a nearby town and we could also enjoy the theater and London. The hotel is very close to terminal 5 and is connected via the Heathrow Pod and a local bus which stops about 100m from the hotel. The bus runs on a pretty regular schedule and costs £1.75 each way. The rooms are pretty comfortable. The breakfast was nice, a hearty English breakfast. The only downside, this hotel has no elevator, so if booking request a room on the ground floor. All in all, it worked for us and we would definitely stay here again.

It was for my parents for an overnight stay when they missed the onward connection due to flight delay. The staff members were real gem helping with mobile charging, guiding around getting back to Heathrow T5.
The rooms were clean and spacious. They accommodated them on ground floor as this hotel does not have a lift.

Very convenient for overnight stay if you have a flight from Heathrow Terminal 5. Pods are very convenient and fun but expensive. It is £8.25 for a 5 mins ride. The rooms are a bit outdated and noisy (i had a room next to reception).

Great location for the airport and the use of the pods £8.50 per person. On-site bar & restaurant. Hotel clean and room has everything you could need. Breakfast was plenty of choice, however hot breakfast was only warm and went cold very quickly.

Old school business hotel. However, the convenience, location and price are all massive plus’s.
The proximity to the Heathrow T5 pods takes away all of the stress of a next day flight.
Restaurant and bar are good and staff and friendly.
A massive boost to convenience for a small price. More money to spend on luxury hotels once you’re abroad.
I’ve used this hotel whenever flying out of T5 and I will keep on using it in the future. I recommend you do too if you’re flying.

Hotel is rather dated inside, a bit stuck in 1970s. That said the room, although small, was very quiet. We liked the restaurant and it has a really spectacular view of the airport. Check in and out very fast and efficient.

Transport options to the hotel are limited. You can use the insanely overpriced Heathrow Pod, or public bus 423. We used the latter. The problem is the 423 only runs typically every 30 minutes. On the return to the airport it was late, became clogged with luggage and so some travellers were left behind. While local hotels can't arrange a shuttle bus like other airports I dont know.

Cheap to stay there but they sting you in the bar and restaurant. A glass of white wine was £16.50! Just not worth it. I’d suggest staying there but eating and drinking at the premier Inn across the road!

Updates to the rooms and property are ongoing, but the one thing I love most about this hotel is the accessibility to Heathrow terminal 5 via the Heathrow Pods. Rooms are small, which makes them not suitable for someone with a large wheelchair (mine is relatively small). Staff are super friendly and helpful.

I didn’t realise the hotel has no lift, and travelling as a single parent, I had a buggy, large suitcase and two rucksacks. I was original given a first floor room, but this was changed to a ground floor room, and the baby crib was delivered with 10 minutes of entering the room. Great service from the staff!
£8.25 for the pod to T5, hotel to check in within 10 minutes, excellent! It is also step free, buggy friendly.
Would stay again if I have a 7am flight.

The room was basic, clean and comfortable which was absolutely fine for a one night stay.
The rooms are looking tired and in need of refreshing but everything worked.
Front desk staff were very helpful.
I liked that the shop was self service.

Hotel is basic with very small rooms but comfortable. We got all what we needed: clean room, comfortable beds with soft pillows. Location is perfect close to the airport T5 which is possible to reach also with public bus 423. The only thing I didn’t like was check in experience , staff was not attentive and not helpful during self checkin process. This is something that could be improved.

The main negative about the hotel is something they can't really control and that is the amount of noise. Like other stayers I chose the Thistle as it was close to Heathrow Airport T5 and I had an early departure. However, there are people who must be catching much earlier flights and waking up earlier and being very inconsiderate of the noise they make so I was hearing loud noise from 3:30am.
The room I was in could do with a general refresh, especially the bathroom and the water pressure was poor. I would probably check out the other hotels in the vicinity as they are just as convenient to the 423 bus I wanted to take to T5.
The Thistle provided good information on the transport options to the hotel beforehand.

Overall a good 1 night hotel. The place doesn’t have a lift which a major problem specially if you bring more than 1 piece of luggage.

Majority of staff is very polite but there’s no “going the extra mile” attitude. I asked for help to bring my +10 pieces of luggage to the room (called the day before), and the guy at reception just pointed at a metal rack for us to do everything and to find the way to our room.

Hallways are extremely narrow and ceilings are too low too. The metal rack did not go all the way to the bedroom and it was a very bad experience.

It's a very basic but clean hotel, the only problem is the noise from other guests who turn up all hours and forget to keep quiet, and on the ground floor there was a, lot of arguments from people in the car park.

Heathrow charges far too much money for the pod £8.25, disgusting. But I knew this before using it.

Hotel not as described in the photos. Extremely worn down, almost made me want to find somewhere else to sleep for 12hrs. No lifts had to cart bags up stairs then down long halls with torn carpet. Bed was very uncomfortable, like sleeping on just a box spring, bathroom had spots of mould in tiles - heater in room squeaked, had to turn off to try to sleep. Customer service except for the very early morning desk agent was very sub-par.

No lifts, so had to carry two 23kg suitcases up a flight of stairs and back down. Rooms on the first floor need attention, carpets taped up with masking tape. I wouldn’t go back
