To be honest I hardly got any sleep as too much noise of other guests around the house and people outside from the pub still loud at 2 a.m, it was just constantly other guests walking about the hallway and going to the toilet every 15 mins. I really felt knackered by the morning and just was hoping at least for a peaceful nights rest.

Apple House responded to my request for check-in information post haste. I found the room and bath facilities warm, clean and comfortable. Apple is near a fine restaurant and is within walking distance of London's excellent bus system.

I got exactly what I expected. The host was friendly when I arrived (which was close to the cutoff at 11 p.m. because of a flight delay), and he took me to my room. The room and restroom were very neat and clean for the price range, and I would recommend this place to anyone needing to stay near Heathrow.

on website, it stated free buses and stated bus numbers can be taken to the hotel but not correct.............. have to pay to get there.
Since we don't have a phone, when we asked the owner to call a taxi for us, he refused.
not many restaurants or anything around the area. also had to walk a long way to the hotel.

The host wanted us check out at 10:00 am. According to the website the check out is 10:30 am. The curtain is not adequate, it gets very bright around 4:00 am, the curtain does not completely cover the windows and the neon sign is right out the windows so it’s pretty bright at night. The place is for 3 people and only 1 cup and 1 spoon. There is only 1 package of 3 in 1 coffee which was already opened. The shower only has a curtain which is mouldy on the bottom.

The staff: rude, aggressive, unprofessional and completely unaware of their own check-in policy.

Cleanliness: dirty/ dusty skirting boards, limescale on both sink and shower, marks/ stains on walls, doors, etc, stained towel and a completely odd unstafactory smell.

Coffe and tea tray (or bowl in this instance): no milk, tea bags open in the bowl and old water in the kettle.

Bed/ sleep: very firm mattresses but it is was adequate enough to get a decent six hour sleep.

Far to many issues for me to stay again and I wouldn't recommend it.

I like it's proximity to the airport.

I don't like that it's so dirty with mold in the tiny fridge and on the lower parts of the wall.

The brown towels were smelly, the bath gel and shampoo were used ones.
The electric jug had sludge inside and worst of all, the tea bags were not in satches and were just dropped on a dirty tray without a cover.

Hmmmm, the old tea cup had cracked and leaks from the side. It's too poor for $60

Got home last night and all of my luggage now reeks, the same as Apple Guesthouse. The smell is a combination of damp, stale cooking and disinfectant.
The ensuite room shower didn't work properly (the proprietor already knew this) but rather than fix it, I had to use the communal one.
Everything is tired, worn and rundown. There is damp, rips in the curtains, blocked plugholes, badly worn laminate flooring.
They seem to do the absolute minimum to keep the money coming in.
I would never go here again, unless it was totally refurbished.

It may be ok for an overnight stay whilst waiting for a flight, but other than that...

Also, there are 5 rooms but only 2 parking spaces. This led to a big headache as on-street parking is about £3 per hour..

A strong smell of disinfectant came into my room every day from the proprietors quarters.

I could also hear his phone notifications going off through the night.

It's a shame because if a bit of money was spend and new management, it could be ok..

Considering the proximity to the airport - a seven minute walk down to the end of the road and one direct bus going 4 stops to Heathrow Airport - and the one minute walk to a decent pub with gigantic portion sizes and a book of a menu (the Pheasant Inn), I would recommend this guesthouse. I liked the self check in, the host was prompt in replying and the no frills room was exactly as described and fair for the price. I slept well and the room was clean.

Keep looking! There has to be better for the price

Where to start - keep looking as there has to be better. After 8 messages re how to check in, arrived to a room that didn’t resemble the listing in any way. No bedside lamps, just a grotty coffee mug, some teabags flung in an open basket, kettle and fan, smallest bath towels we’ve ever seen measured 100.cms x 55cm and were stained, pulled and yech, so no showers for us!
Go to the toilet? NO EFFING TOILET PAPER, anywhere (even the holder was obviously stolen). So messaged them about towels and toilet paper . Still waiting for response 24 hours on! No one around to ask either.
By then we’d lost the will so my first ever 1 star review (only because you can’t give 0 stars)

pleasant & convenient stay very close to LHR

pleasant and surprisingly quiet stay literally 15 minutes from T2 & T3.
Easily accessible through public transportation at the bus station close to T2/T3. The 111 line runs 24 hours a day and costs about 2 USD. A quick 10 minutes drive then 5 to 7 minutes walk.
I had room nr 6 with private bathroom. Simple. Clean. Free WiFi. Bed too soft for me.
A nice local restaurant a 2 minutes walk away. Also a McDonald's a 10 minutes walk away which is open 24 hours a day.
Location felt absolutely safe. Nothing exciting I am afraid but again I was surprised how quiet my stay was given the proximity of the airport.

Avoid - stay in a proper hotel

Usually I have great experiences staying in small guesthouses, but this was a disaster. Took 20 minutes to get someone to answer door despite ringing, knocking, calling and finally banging on door. In middle of call to Hotels com to find somewhere else when a man did come to the door, I assume not the owner. Meanwhile another traveller had arrived but like me had trouble understanding the man, who was rather incoherent (seemed to want me to come back in four hours which would be 1 in the morning!) and smelt of drink. She soon left to find somewhere else. I decided to stick it out and to be fair the room I was given was excellent. I should have known better as after 30 minutes I had a knock on the door and the man asked me to move myself and my stuff to a less nice room, which apparently was what I had booked. Given I was only staying for one night and there seemed no one else there, the better customer service option would have been to let me stay in the room. To be fair the room I ended up in was fine and I never saw the man again (letting myself out at 5am), but have no desire to ever return.

Nice host and the house is within easy reach of Heathrow airport. I was able to park for free and take the local bus to pick up my daughter. Room was very small and hot and we found it hard to sleep because of the heat and I found the mattress hard. Nevertheless the room and en-suite were clean and good value when you just need a bed for the night.

Reasonably close to Heathrow - a fall-back alternative to Ibis Hotels on Bath Road which I generally use.

Landlord's office was right next to bedroom and he stayed up late with radio on into the early hours.

But served its purpose. Affordable with a comfortable bed and I got a decent night's sleep.

Warm place to rest before a flight.

The guest house is on the main road but has no public transport that goes directly to it. So you have to walk through an estate, which can be little unsettling at night.

Pro: I was welcomed and given a tour of the room. The room was small but ensuite which was nice. The house and room was toasty and warm which was appreciated during this time of year and current economically climate. Affordable price close to the airport.

Con: The linens was washed but stained. The bathroom floorboard was creaky and the fan was loud, which cause me to worry about the neighbouring rooms as I had to leave very early in the morning. Some of the fixture needs some cosmetic updating but I was not too bothered by this.

I would suggest using white linen so the bedding can be bleach to remove all stains.

1of 12 lights working room for 3 only 1flimsy pillow each. 1mug for us all no milk no wardrobe only. 4hooks! No bedside tables or dressing table. No cushions. One small threadbare towel each. Half a toilet roll. Nowhere to hang towels. This is the worst room I can ever recall staying in. The cost was extortionate for what it was and standard well below the bare minimum acceptable today for basic accommodation. It does not reflect the pictures on the website. We heard other guests complaining about the one mug per room and lack of supplies. We had an abysmal nights sleep. Daddy

The host was very friendly and accommodating and the place was within walking distance to my meeting venue. It was great to have a parking space on the drive. The room had a memory foam mattress, which I am not a fan of, but I know some people are. So I didn’t sleep well as I found it extremely difficult to lie flat and was too hot. The window of my room didn’t close, which is not ideal when you are next to Heathrow’s runway. The bathroom had been used by someone right before I arrived and they had left it dirty. However, the host cleaned it right away on being informed. I would suggest he install some hooks in the bathroom, as there is nowhere to hang towels or clothing whilst showering, so the only place left is the floor.

1. Pay no attention to reviews talking about confusing directions. You’ll get very clear and accurate directions upon payment. If you can’t follow them, maybe travel isn’t your thing.
2. Take free bus from LHR central bus station to Marriott. It’s about 1/3 mile walk to the hotel/house, neighbourhood ok to me, but a woman alone may feel otherwise. If you walk back to bus stop you can catch free bus to terminals in the morning. Saved £30-50 on short taxi fees.
3. Room #2 upstairs was hot but I opened the windows and it cooled ok in 10 minutes (in early August).
4. Pheasant Inn a block away and great find. $$.
5. Water was off upstairs bathroom but owner turned it on for me and no problems with water pressure.
6. I’d stay there again for overnight, absolutely. Save £40 for the price of a short walk.

The property met my need for a place to stay and the shop were nearby which was a bonus. I was able to get to T5 the following morning on time which was great.
The only thing I would change is the heating, I was met with a warm apartment, by the time I went out and came back the heating was switched off.

I had a major change in schedule and tried to cancel within the 24 hours. Expedia tried the property refused to cancel my reservation and not charge my credit card.
My mother-in-law lives in chambridgeshire and I know most Britain’s are not that cold hearted.

Had a fantastic time but was woken twice by people trying my door, most likely communication barriers as the man was very apologetic and his English wasnt fluent the 2nd time. The rooms were very clean and practical. One improvement would be a do not disturb sign for people to notice a room is occupied. Would stay again for sure.

Nothing special. A nice little (non-air-conditioned) room to sleep for a few hours between flights, at best. Funny smells and no shampoo. Don't even pretend to rely on the taxi hotline near the entrance. Had to hike 800m for a bus after waiting for close to an hour. Nearby Pheasant restaurant is chaotic and way too expensive. I will stay elsewhere next time.

Denis checked me in after I phoned from the front door - number was posted and was different from number in listing. The room was ample with great window lighting and an openable window. Private bath accessible only from inside the room. I stayed briefly in order to be picked up at 4 to get to Heathrow for an early flight. I ate an ok dinner down the street, less than a block away. I eat vegan and there was only a vegetarian lasagne drenched in cheese. Never saw so much cheese on anything. Scraped it off and did my best. I dipped the bites in a chile sauce and that helped.

The guest house is not suitable for any guests, there is a bug in my bed the linen smells, I took pictures of it as evidence. The windows frames are dusty the room wasn’t vacuumed it is dirty and smelly. I booked 2 nights I have to leave the next day as I’m so scared of our health if we stay another night. Nobody there when we left, very bad.
Expedia should investigate this guesthouse, Applehouse in Heathrow. It is seriously not suitable for business.
I would like a refund of what I paid if Expedia has goodwill to its customers,

The room and bed are well dress and very pleasing, but while asleep, as I lay on the pillow, I found myself scratching and itchy in my face, nose and stomach, I realized this bed had to have bed bugs and I had no choice to lay there because I was so tired. I had an earlie flight so I've checkout at 5 am and didn't get to see the host of the bed n breakfast to tell him what I found, how unhappy I was with the room he gave me. If I had a chance to tell him , I've really would've asked for a refund because of what I experience.

I fell in love--once I managed to find it.

My GPS sent me down a dark alley in a residential area all parked up with cars and told me I'd arrived, so I drove up and down looking carefully at every house to see if I could see an address. I never did, but I did find a house labelled \"Apple House\" with an empty parking space in front of it. (I was really glad I'd warned them that I'd be arriving late and with a car.) I don't know if the doorbell worked--I rang it twice and then knocked, and someone came and let me in and gave me the tour. He told me there's a restaurant nearby (but I didn't check it out).
I loved it at first sight! It's a house converted into a guesthouse and has a homey flavour to it although I never saw anyone other than the man who let me in.
The downsides are: it had a shared bathroom (clean!) with nowhere to hang a towel or clothes. I was glad I didn't have a suitcase. Besides getting it up the stairs, it would have had to share the bed with me. The coffee maker was a kettle with a real mug and teaspoon, and some packages of instant coffee and teabags and milk and sugar. There is no fridge available. There is no-one on duty at night.
The upside was that it was quiet and clean, the internet works, the instructions for things like checking out or getting a taxi are clear. The water is hot and the bed was comfortable. My room looked out over a back garden. It's about a 10-minute drive to Heathrow terminal 3.
For one night (which is all I needed), it was great. I would recommend it.

Convenient spot for a short-stay at LHR

Apple Guest House offers minimalist accommodations in the vicinity of LHR. It's not a place for a long stay, but it's terrific if you arrive late in the day or have a flight leaving earlyish the next morning. It's within the free-bus radius from the airport - you take bus #243 from Terminal 5 and get off at New Road. It's a longish walk up New Road (the intersection is a few yards back from the bus stand) and a left turn at the end to get to the guest house; the consolation is the busy pub with excellent food (\"The Pheasant\") just a short walk up the road.

Ideal close to Airport and quiet

Well, I checked in, Parker car, went to delightful pub up the road, then came back, had a great sleep and collecting car in a few days. What could be better. Will definitely use again. Thanks so much.

Near to heathrow,pubs nearby to eat,parking could be an issue,noise maybe an issue but it is aclean basic stopover after a long flight

Good location to the airport

The hotel is is exactly what you pay for at the price they charge .Nothing fancy just a place to crash .Good location to the airport with a great pun walking distance to the Apple guest house called the Pheasant inn

The place had 4 stars as a B and B. Room barely fit the full and twin bed for 3, not any room on floor to open suitcases. Place was dirty. Missing light bulbs from only light fixture in room. This was the worst place I've ever stayed . Advertised as B & B but nothing for breakfast other than tea kettle in room!

Close to Heathrow

The place was clean, but dated and small. We could have had a bit larger room on the upper floor, but since we were leaving so early we chose the one on the main floor. A restaurant is down the street and it is located close to the airport. Building is a bit noisy as it is a home and not a hotel.
