This place is incredibly convenient if you need a quick place to stay. As soon as you deplane, catch the train to T5, and take the lift to the ground floor of the terminal and follow the signs. If you need a car, the SIXT station is also available. Upon entry, there were multiple desks to check in, which is great if you are exhausted. There were several restaurants to eat from. From there, the rooms were so nicely renovated. It was such a great experience. I had a luxury room which included a minibar for free. It was nicely stocked and cold. The bathroom was nice as well. Spacious and the tub was clean. I took the most lovely bath which practically had me unconscious within minutes, lol. The staff were friendly and as mentioned, it’s incredibly convenient. I fully intend to stay there again.

Nice bedroom. Yet I was so frustrated with the poorly written signage everywhere - small print and in elevator not correlation to floor numbers where bars or restaurants were. Plus, it is not intuitive how hot water or shower heads are turned on. I’m a fairly sophisticated man and well travelled but I was frustrated from the point I left the lobby to the point I left this morning.
It took forever to find out how to turn lights on. A simple “insert card here” sign would be very helpful. Finally, it is very outdated. Only a USb outlet existed.

I booked this hotel rather than other less expensive airport hotels as it advertised spa facilities. However these were unexpectedly shut when I was there, so I felt as though I wasted money. The staff were not apologetic about this and did not offer any alternatives or compensation, which was disappointing. The hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable, though the decor is a bit dated. Also, strangely there were no outlets by the bed, so I had to charge my phone in an outlet across the room from me and I worried about not hearing my alarm in the morning.

The bar was extremely expensive and they didn’t have any Rosé wine at all. It took us a while to work out where to insert the key card in the room as it was so dark in there. On check in the staff weren’t very friendly. If we didn’t already have a booking for later this year for a night o wouldn’t book again!

They put me in an accessible room. The AC button was broken therefore I couldn’t turn it on. It was already past midnight and I had an early flight the next day so I didn’t feel like going back to the service desk to request a new room. Rooms don’t really have a lot of noise control. I was able to hear what the person in the room next to me was doing. The room I was in was outdated, there was a panel on the wall that fell down as soon as I pressed it. Keep in mind that panel controlled the light and the AC in the room. The closet door when I tried to open it, it fell off its hinge. Just an outdated room,

The shower head in the shower booth was either spraying too wide or too narrow. and addition to that, because the shower hose in the tub was not properly connected, water was leaking too much. it was really hard to take a shower this time.

We stayed at this \"luxury\" hotel because it was the only one at terminal 5. While the hotel looked luxurious, the A/C in the room was terrible. It was set at 19C but it was not cool. The shower door opened out and you couldn't put the shower mat on the floor outside the shower door because the door wouldn't allow it when opening. The floor was very slippery when wet. The international restaurant food was fine but the service was terrible. Our waiter was very rude.

This isn’t an old hotel but it presents that way. We travel a lot and this is the first time we’ve ever encountered it being impossible to plug anything in at the bedside. The hotel uses some strange proprietary outlet for the lamps! This is a health issue as my partner needed to plug in his CPAP. The hotel did lend us an extension cord but that creates a trip hazard on the way to the bathroom. This is really just patently stupid. There are also insufficient outlets in the room and no usb outlets.

Service in the restaurant Vivre was poor. Unable to cook burgers to order.

Shower ok but not up to so called “luxury” standard.

Hotel is coasting on its location which is indeed very convenient for terminal 5.

The reason for the terrible score was the failure of the early morning alarm call. When we checked in I was asked if we wanted an alarm call for the following morning. I asked for 6.30am. It never came. The whole point of this hotel is as a stop over for BA fliers so this should be the one thing you don’t mess up. Much better not to offer this service at all rather than offer it and then let the guest down with a potentially dreadful outcome if a flight is missed.

The hotel is very dated and not good value for money. Only plus is it’s at T5 so easy access.
Room was musty with carpeting throughout and A/C non existent. Felt like I couldn’t breathe like there was NO fresh air. Room is dated. Upgraded to a suite room with free mini bar. Two Coors not even uk beer. One bottle of tonic, cokes and a small bottle of scotch? Scotch and tonic?
Worst part is the musty stale air. Bar closes at midnight and sitting drinking 10 pound beers we watched the mice run around to get the dropped peanuts. Bar staff very unfriendly most likely due to it being at end of shift. Would never stay there again!!

We stayed at Sofitel London Heathrow at the start of our honeymoon and had a really smooth and enjoyable experience. The room was ideal for what we needed, and all staff we interacted with were very friendly, helpful, and professional.

We had a lovely evening meal at the French restaurant, and breakfast the next morning was also very good with plenty of choice. The hotel was very clean throughout and everything felt well looked after. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with no complaints at all and a great start to our trip.

The hotel has a great bar and three choices for dinning. If you are flying out of terminal 5 it is very convenient but I flew from terminal 2 and it was a $46£ taxi ride. You can take train but if you have baggage it is difficult

Of course you are staying here for convenience to Terminal 5. The hotel is fine overall but the internet was rarely working and very slow for the night I was there, simply not excusable for what the daily rate is. Its a quirky hotel, somewhat confusing to navigate as others have noted and perhaps trying to be a bit too modern and different for simple things like lighting controls.

Not at all what was advertised. I was promised an email from a manager. I never got an email. I requested a FULL refund because of the uncleanliness of the room. There were numerous maintenance issues in the room - broken faucetS (plural), shower door did not close, towel hook was missing, fridge did not work, issues with the TV. Bathroom was DIRTY. Toilet had not been cleaned. There was mold in the shower. Took 20 minutes to reach the reception! ALL of this should have been dealt with PRIOR to check-in. I tried to get this resolved prior to checking out but no one was available! No surprise there. The assistant manager promised that the manager would reach out. I am still waiting.

Used to be a great hotel for an airport stay, now it’s very overpriced for services. Can’t charge phones in rooms and most sockets don’t work anymore (based on two different stays recently). Staff are very unhelpful and seem annoyed to have to converse with the general public. Far too expensive for a basic stay.
Stayed during major baggage problems at terminal 5, and hotel staff couldn’t have been more unhelpful if they tried.

The bed was absolutely horrible. The mattress should have been changed some time ago. There was a big sag in the mattress. I expected a lot more from the hotel given the high cost of the room. One of the employees acted as if we were trespassing and followed us around...not sure why. The woman who checked us in at the front reception was excellent - which is why the hotel rating is not lower.

So really, what choices do you have? you want to be near your terminal in position to leave. The signage is poor within the hotel and it takes awhile to understand that your room, which has a number beginning with 2, is on the first floor. Food options within the hotel are predictably stratospheric in price, but you know that going in. Noice coming from neighbor plumbing a constant. Overcome by AC noise. It's what it is, an overpriced room where you need it.
