Stopped unexpectedly do to storm. About the only thing nice I can say about this place was the front desk guy was great.

Place was dirty and in disrepair. Broken AC laying in the hall, carpet worn through in many places. Bed were old , creaky, and musty. Comforter was dirty. Bathrooms were cleaned mid century at best. Was definitely not quality.

Was kind of surprised at the price versus value.

Staff at checkin: Friendly and helpful.

Breakfast: Waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, oatmeal, yogurt and apples. Basic breakfast. Employee was very friendly and kept things clean and stocked.

Room: Rough! Missing smoke detector, greasy hand prints all over shower and bathroom. Popcorn ceiling was chipping and falling. Trash under beds.

Would I stay here again? Doubtful...

Spend your money elsewhere.

Hotel was ok. The smell of spice/weed being smoked was absolutely awful! The whole hotel smelled like it. We were told they provided juice with breakfast but they don’t. Only coffee. The pool was cloudy. The beds were awful! You could feel the springs digging into you. The bed had a broken metal bar sticking out the bedframe we had to put a towel on it to keep it from scrapping us. The rooms were not cool at all. We had it on high cool, 60. We brought a fan with us and it helped. Random people walk thru the parking lot in to the wood line right by the pool coming from the gas station next door or from walmart. The light in the pool came floating out of the wall also.

Really Good Breakfast

I needed an inexpensive room for a business training. The room was fine. Sheets smelled very clean and the breakfast was really good!!!!! The only negative aspect was the lack of TV channels and the small TV. I could fine 2 shopping channels, TNT playing baseball and a Law and Order marathon, I am old and I like to watch the news so I was disappointed. Overall, it was a fine stay.

The bathroom tub was disgusting, hair all in it and wasn’t cleaned. I always clean the bathroom before I let my children use it but we’ve never stayed at one this nasty. Our room wasn’t lit up properly because of lights not working. The smell of cigarette smoke is awful and had my one year old daughter up all night coughing and having to use her emergency inhaler. The rooms say no smoking but some of the guests obviously didn’t listen. We didn’t know about the $100 accidental fee that they charge up front either cash or card until we were checking in. This was our last option in the area because our towns power is out of most of everyone’s homes.

First of all no wifi. Second of all no cable tv. Smart TV but with no internet made it a boring night. Third ceiling popcorn was falling on every where. Safety door latch wouldn’t close. Bed were not comfortable every time you moved it made a noise. Dust every on microwave and countertops. Front counter didnt know how to charge room for soda’s. No vending machines. Horrible stay.

The room smelled horribly of mildew, on day two I was walking without my shoes, the carpet was soaked from the a/c leaking. Showed the maintenance man who was there replacing a smoke detector. His answer was to vacuum up the water instead of repairing the air conditioner. Our clothes were soaked through our suitcases.

Unfortunately, my stay was not the best. My family and I was assigned room 123. Entering the room, it was very humid. The air was not on. There was rust all over the refrigerator, shower head, even the fire sprinkler was rusted. The ceiling was half popcorn and half painted. No phone. It was just disgusting. I called front desk to ask the cancellation policy. She offered for me to see another room. She showed me two others. The better selected was a non-smoking room on a smoking floor so it smelled of cigarettes on the halls. Comforters had stains on them. It was just a discomforting experience. Also, we spent the weekend without being able to watch tv because of no remote. Had to call front desk from my cell phone because the room phone did not work, to let them know the remote was missing. No one ever brought one to me. I highly recommend no one booking this hotel. The only reason I stayed was because everything else in the area was booked due to the AAU basketball tournament we were attending for the weekend.

I traveled from Jax 5 1/2 hours only to be told I would be charge a $25 early check-in fee! I decline I went to the Wal-mart to waste time and spend that money on food! I was tired and sleepy but couldn’t check into my room, although it was actually ready!! I came back with 30 minutes left until check in and the receptionist, decided to go head and check me in. If I would’ve known, I would’ve timed my trip to get there at check in time not 2 1/2 hours earlier.

Had a good check-in, great afternoon, amazing dinner. There's lots of restaurants in the area. But the only reason we rented the room, we live in the area, our first choice babysitter had to work until 8 or 10pm so we wouldn't have had much of a reason to rent a room so we chose our backup babysitter. Should've just cancelled the evening then but I really wanted alone time with my fiance, and we never get it with the kids.

So we had an amazing dinner, there's lots of great choices. The area around the hotel is nice. Not long after we get back from dinner, things go downhill fast.

First we find a bloody needle when going into the dresser drawers to get pajamas. Everything else was good before we found the needle so we tried to ignore it. Have fun in bed after dinner and my fiance goes to sleep. As I'm dosing off I start itching, bedbugs, great!

Thank God my fiance had Benydryl. I took some and did sleep most of the night, but I did wake up during the night itching and my fiance was getting bitten as well. I know I kept her up most of the night and she wasn't happy. Breakfast sucked. Powdered eggs, rock hard biscuits, great value brand yogurt, and oatmeal, and no milk... So I finish my work out after breakfast and go wake my fiance. She was upset because we stayed up most of the night itching. As soon as she's go back to sleep I'd wake her up itching.

So no morning sex. Huge bummer.

Overall I will never use Expedia or stay at another Quality Inn in my life.

Rooms needs to be cleaned and upgraded! The walls were disgusting and the bathroom had a nasty crack in it with yellow caulk that resembles pee. Looked gross. The comfiest part was the bed with a huge dent.

Staff was very friendly but we were 1st given a room later at night that had wet tile floor, no pillow cases on pillows, no towels, not totally clean. Moved to a room that had wrappers on bathroom floor, stained wash clothes, and in the morning when pulling the shower curtain closed to shower, there was a used washcloth hanging on the towel bar. Very disappointed with cleanliness esp during this time of COVID. Would not stay again

Initially, i was put on a room that someone was squatting in. They found me a new room but didn't believe me when i told them someone was in there. Instead of upgrading the room, they gave me a simple room aftwr wairing for 35-40 minutes.

Great location. Didnt get to swin due to weather. The beds are pretty uncomfortable and tbe floors in the room were really nasty. Had to wear shoes the whole time other wise your feet got really dirty. We only stayed one night as a layover to getting to Florida. It was fine for one night. Nothing super nice.

Friendly front desk staff but the rooms were poorly kept. While clean(I use that word loosely), there's is an obvious smoke smell throughout the building and rooms. The room had paint peeling from the ceiling, the pillows looked yellowed compared to the sheets, rust on anything metal like the showerhead, and mold and stains around the tub. The bed creaked and shook at the slightest move. Half the plugs in the room did not work.

The clerks were helpful but the on site manager totally disregarded our concerns and wouldn’t even give us the respect to come to the front desk to address our concerns. They allow smoking which is apparent in the hallway. The sheets were either dirty or stained. Once removed, the mattress cover was also stained with what looked like blood. Once that was removed, the mattress had a HUGE stain. The head of cleaning was there and changed them all, only for me to find cigarette burns on the new one. I normally give places the benefit of the doubt but it seemed to me this is common at this facility. The front desk person was very kind and apologetic. Throughout night, there were many loud cars and guests outside. Although I am glad to have found a room, this was definitely not worth what I paid. I asked to be reimbursed but have not received any communication at present time.

The hotel was not up to par for a Quality Inn. There were stains from ceiling to floor. I had two rooms. My older sons stayed in one room and theirs was worse than mine. I paid for two nights and only stayed one. I could not believe how poorly the building was kept. The hotel workers were friendly and knowledgeable. There were bugs. It won't allow me to post the pics I took. It says the exceed size limits. They are regular pictures taken with my phone.

The location and staff were awesome. Needs were readily met and I was impressed with the ability to meet guests needs during covid restrictions. The prepackaged breakfast was nice as was the outdoor pool and ease of access.

However, smoking and non smoking rooms seemed to be random and the entire first floor reeked of smoke our whole 5 day, 4 night stay even though we had a non-smoking room. Hotel rooms had a lot of mildew, rust and patches in the drywall which is to be expected with the humidity in the area but it was quite excessive especially for those with allergies. All in all, you get what you pay for.

It looked like effort was being made to improve the facilities. Our room had a dirty bedspread, a dead cockroach and unclean toilet. When addressed the problem was corrected. Kitchen and breakfast was handled well and professional.

The hotel was pretty nice and staff did a wonderful job helping accommodate for my mom's service dog. Saraland itself does not have many places to eat, but it worked for our short trip, and it's closeness to Mobile was perfect for us.

A decent stay for the price

It was decent and Ledbetter than the original hotel we'd book. We found Quality Inn at the last minute the night we arrived. The staff was friendly, but we kept getting locked out of our rooms as the system was deactivating everyone's keys. Several other guests were dealling with the same thing. The hot breakfast was nice and it was quiet, so it was easy to rest when we were there.

Wouldn't stay again, but did the job

This hotel was probably one of the strangest experiences I've had. I needed a last minute trip and it provided a bed that was mostly clean. So, that was a plus. Other than that, the shower was disgusting, my headboard had literal boogers (multiple) on it, my key (and at least 3 other customers') stopped working completely half way through my stay, the hotel itself has a strange smell, and my door didn't close completely without the deadbolt. There were other problems, but those come to mind immediately. I don't plan on staying again, but the hotel isn't the worst I've seen. The front desk lady I worked with was nice, but one I saw work with another customer was very unpleasant. I'd say if you are planning a trip and have a better option, it's worth it not to go for this one.

I'll start with the negative and end with the positive!

First off, we went to south Alabama in June when it was HOT AND MUGGY. The hotel was extremely humid, even with the AC blasting. The overhead light in the entryway of our room made a dinging noise (we actually tried to find the elevator thinking that is what was dinging). We called the front desk & the lady said she would pass the info on to management. Don't wait for breakfast because the lady that runs it, while nice, is a stickler for getting you in & out before 9am. Also, our door did not latch unless you slammed the door. I'm sure other guests really enjoyed that.

But now for the good! Staff at this hotel are the nicest bunch, from front desk to house keeping. We liked the hotel fine. The fridge & microwave worked in our room and the waffles at breakfast were delicious! Also the biscuits & gravy were tasty (I'm from Kentucky & so we know biscuits & gravy!).

The security for the building was comforting and the breakfast was open early enough for me to eat before I had to be at my job site. The room was clean & comfortable.
