While the staff was great (super helpful, warm--everything) and you can't beat the combo of having a kitchenette in your room and laundry services right near the front desk, I'd say that the place itself is a bit worn-down.

For instance, the carpets were really dirty and had stains on them. Since I was staying for several days and couldn't bear looking at the stains, I cleaned them myself...and the majority of them came out. But why am I doing this? I don't blame housekeeping (who are really lovely, hardworking women) who are told to go into rooms an change towels and sheets and clean surfaces. It's really up to mangagement to go through the rooms and which rooms need extra attention (and hire a carpet cleaner! Or get new carpets!) I noticed (only later) that some reviews ALSO mentioned the carpets also, so it's not just me. Since it got 9 out of 10, I just booked it, pressed for time.

This really could be a great option for budget travelers if the management just cared a bit more about upkeep.

Great little escape

Great hotel located about 20 minutes or less from everything (when taking taxi/Uber). Great communication with staff, very professional and friendly. No problems encountered. Room was very clean, breakfast available for small fee. Hotel is near a bar, and you can hear them occasionally, however, it was nothing to complain about. They do have a hair dryer and iron, as well as laundry facilities on site, but you must have Euro's to use the laundry facilities. Hotel has a locked gate on both sides of the little alley from the reception area to the room side, so wanderers can't just walk in/out. You do get the gate code so if door is closed (desk agent has stepped away) you can still get in. Located by lots of restaurants and convenient stores. I would stay here again.

The room was very dirty. Stains in the sink, carpet & bed. Curtain half hanging on. Glad it was only for one night. When asked at the reception where can we find a local shop to buy drinks & restaurants to eat we got the response of “i’m not familiar with this area” all round disappointment. De douchekop kon je niet ophangen de vloer heeft ook zn beste tijd gehad zou dr absoluut niet met mn sokken op lopen. Bed lag verder goed. Maar als je naar La seine de musicale gaat is het wel een goed gelegen hotel. Ben er ook maar 1 nacht geweest. Wel supwrmarkt aan de overkant en restaurants in de buurt .

For starters, I love the location of where this hotel was. Your staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The only thing I did not like about this hotel was our shower area being American obviously were used to keeping the water in the tub and not all over the floor, the glass door didn’t really help to keep the water in the tub too much. It splashed out a lot because we were using the shower and a lot of the water was splashing out from the door and getting all over the floor so our towels were pretty much being used to stop the water from going everywhere. Other than that this hotel was in the perfect location where was fast enough to get to all your main attraction it was in an area where you had a couple of restaurant options to eat from plus a nice little café so overall my experience with this place, I would give it a 8 out of 10.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a budget stay but still nice hotel near the Paris city center. It’s also a great place to stay if you want the amenities that most rooms in Europe do not have, such as a mini fridge, stove, microwave, and dishes. The only downside is the 100 per night deposit..if you don’t have a credit card I could see how this could easily ruin someone’s trip.

This hotel needs fixings

What I liked about this hotel, is the convenient kitchen area inside the room. However, I didn't like that the air conditioning system didn't heat and the shower was not delivering a steady temperature water, changing from cold to burning hot water in seconds. The staff didn't even pretend caring and didn't try to fix any of these issues.

Simple, confortable, quiet place

Lagrange is an affordable place to stay in Boulogne: each room has its own kitchenette which is a great way to fix quick meals and escape take away, and restaurant food. Be aware that you must clean the kitchen area before checking out or they will charge a cleaning fee of 25 Euros.
Each room features its own wifi. My room's wifi failed after 5 minutes but I was able to connect to another wifi closeby and it worked like a charm. I must underline that wifi is crazy fast there (almost 100mb/s).
I didn't have breakfast there but it's really affordable.
Be aware that the hotel features almost no amenities: they charge 8 Euros for the sauna (you must reserve it) and their gym has probably never be used as they store old furniture and paperboard in the room.

Hotel was okay, but far from Paris center. Approximately a 35-45 commute on the metro. I would spend a little more and save time! There aren’t many restaurants around and the airports are really far from here!

The hotel room was quite dirty – kettle had grubby marks all over, cups had lipstick marks, stove top was rusted/stained from lots of use, floors were badly stained and curtains (more like panelled sheets) had food marks and pieces on them. No Wifi in breakfast room so couldn’t work with colleague and had to leave asap. Double charged on arrival for rooms (there should have been information for the receptionist that we had prepaid rooms and only needed to pay city tax).

On the plus side, the staff were very helpful and did all they could to make us comfortable including giving us milk for our room to make coffees the next day as we had not come prepared.

Overall, the rooms are a let down but the staff are great.

Not worth the money

The area is pretty quiet, and chill compared to the city center. Although, it is substantially far from the center. Then, the hotel was not a pleasant experience concerning the several reasons. Firstly, Wifi did not work at all during 4days of my stays. They said they'd had problems with internet service, so they recently changed the service from one company to another, but it still doesn’t work. (Who knows if this is significantly reliable when comparing to other conditions around the hotel). Secondly, AC and Spa were out of service as well. Thirdly, staff members are NOT friendly. Lastly, I was so disappointed with the fitness center they have mentioned in the Amenities. It’s not a ‘Fitness Center’ it is just a small room with 3-4 workout machines. Overall, it’s not worth the price of what you are paying for.

This hotel looks nice, but thats about as far as it goes. When I booked, the details were relatively scarce until after they had taken my money, they weren’t shy in mentioning the grandiose deposit they require. Of course, once I had given them the total money for my stay, they became very dismissal about discussing terms with me, as I’d already fallen into their trap. There were extenuating circumstances for my stay in Paris and I couldn’t cover the deposit after paying the entire room charges, so I begged for a reduced deposit, only slightly so that I could still come. They refused and took my money anyway. If you’re lucky enough to find their fee structure and you’re happy with it, I say give it a go. If you’re on the fence or wonder how else you might fall for a trick, Best to avoid!

Nice staff that unfortunately, does not speak English very well. The Hotel has a good location for the Roland Garros tournament. I reported the bad functioning of the air-conditioning several times and they do nothing to fix it and offered no alternatives.

We really enjoyed staing at Lagrange. The surrounding area is very friendly with many cafes and restaurants. The hotel is in teh close proximity to two metro stations, just about 10 minutes. We stayed here to watch Roland Garros 2018 games, and enjoyed our stay very much.

Pretty good stay in a nicer, business area of city

The hotel staff was really great. Very accommodating to us since we spoke very little French. The room layout was a little cramped and the beds were just so-so. The patio was really nice and there was a good view. There are good places to eat around the hotel. Not much as far as sites go. Overall we were really happy about the value for the price we paid though and we would recommend this hotel!

I was pleasantly surprised when we got to our room - it looked just like the photo on the website. The room was well equipped, shower worked well, bed was large and comfortable (although pillows were small and annoying). I only paid a little more for a kitchenette but it was worth it for the fridge alone.

A nice place just outside Paris

We stayed at this property for 4 nights with the family leading up to the Easter weekend. The property is located just outside the city limits (zone 2 according to public transit maps). The staff was courteous and for the most part helpful but not the best we have experienced in the past. We asked for recommendations for family-friendly French restaurants and the restaurant they recommended was Italian, it was nice but that's not what we asked for. When we complained it was attributed to the language barrier, oh well! Our room had four pillows, which were not the most comfortable and asked for a couple of additional pillows and were told, \"Your room has 4 pillows, that's all you get!\"

The room itself was nice for 4 people. It was sufficiently clean and organized. It came with dishes and silverware and we made good use of those and saved some money by eating breakfast in the room. The supermarket was around the corner and was convenient to get to (remember to carry a few bags or be willing to pay ten euro cents per bag - not an issue with the hotel).

The cleaning staff is nice, they'd clean the room and provide clean towels each morning. It also has a laundry facility on premise.

Even though we liked the quietness of the area it is a 10-minute walk to the train station and another 20-25 minute train ride. If you are okay to deal with this distance then this place is absolutely worth the price and you should consider it.

If you do decide to stay here, enjoy!

I enjoyed my stay at Résidence Lagrange City Boulogne. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it appeared that the cleaning staff came through at least every two days or possibly every day. The small kitchen was useful for breakfasts and small meals. The hotel is situated in a quiet location and I was able to sleep with the window open. This was a good thing since the air conditioning and the forced air was minimal. I used the basic (included at no charge) WiFi which was adequate for emails but quite slow.
I have a few minor complaints. There were only three hangers. There needs to be more. There needs to be at least one more hook for hanging towels etc. in the bathroom. The only chair in the room was in need of repair. The light above the kitchen sink was now working and it appeared that neither the kitchen nor the bathroom exhaust fans worked.

We were very impressed by this modern hotel on the outskirts of Paris. A short walk from the Metro to take you into Paris. Quick access to the Palace of Versailles if you have a car (15-20 minute drive). Modern appliances and furnishings make for a comfortable stay. Staff is very friendly. Is in what we in the US would call a corporate park so there are several affordable, good quality restaurants nearby. One called \"Doddy's\" even specialized in American Food so we felt very at home here.

This was my third visit to this hotel and I stayed for 4 nights. I really like the location of this hotel, it is close to the work location, in a modern sector of Paris, and is surrounded by many restaurants and amenities. There is a Metro station within 10 minutes by foot. The staff is friendly and helpful. The suites are not luxurious however they are spacious, comfortable, and include a mini-kitchen. The complimentary Wi-Fi is a bit slow but worked fine when I was there. I intend to stay there the next time my business takes me to Paris.

Comfortable place to stay

This was my second stay in this residence hotel and I stayed for 3 nights. This hotel is situated in a quieter area of Paris with less street noise yet it is close to many amenities, restaurants, and public transport. The only area for improvement noted concerned the kitchenette supplies; somehow all of the forks were missing from mine, a small inconvenience which will not stop me from using this hotel again the next time I am in Paris for business.

Was clean. Room's shower reminded me of those on cruise ships. Front desk really didn't want to be too helpful.

Worst of fall, the WiFi was essentially unusable. Even with a strong signal, connection was tough. After repeated connection attempts, would only stay connected for a few minutes. Could only download mail from server -- would not allow sending mail. Had to resort to webmail. The whole experience was painful.

Perfect for its purpose

I stayed here for a 4 nights for a business trip. It is a short walk from my office location so in that sense it is perfect. Breakfast is ok, the usual continental fare you expect in France. The beds are comfortable but the bathroom is tiny and you need to be careful stepping out of the show as it is raised up and you step onto the tiles.

Ideal for an extended stay - Very good location

This was my first stay in this hotel and I stayed there for 6 nights. The hotel is located in a modern neighbourhood yet close to a metro station with access to all of Paris has to offer and many other amenities such as restaurants and food stores. The rooms are not luxurious but they still are very comfortable and well appointed; the small kitchenette and the premium bedding make for a very comfortable stay. The hotel has on-site self-serve laundry facilities and an exercise room. There are many restaurants and stores within a few minutes walking distance. I chose this hotel so that I could be within walking distance of my work meeting location and not be at not be at the mercy of restaurants for my every meal during my week long stay. There is also on-site parking for cars for a daily fee however I did not use that service. Travellers on extended stays should be aware that towels are not replaced on a daily basis - this was not a problem for me as sufficient towels were provided at the beginning of the week and a clean replacements were provided mid-week.This was a good choice; I will not hesitate to stay there again during my next business trip to Paris.

Very Basic, more appartment style than hotel

Was disappointed that there was no shampoo or conditioner but a combined soap dispenser aavailable which didn't help with untangling my hair when washed. There was no hairdryer or iron which did not suit for my business meeting preparation. Overall was disappointed with the little conveniences. Also the room had self catering facilities, yet there was no coffee machine or kettle which was a negative for a hotel.

We stayed here, in order to watch the Rock en Seine festival 15 min away walking, the location of this apartment hotel was great: 5 mins from metro to visit Paris, 5 mins from big supermarket and some nice bars with terraces great during summer. The room was what we expected it to be, clean and well equipped for our in room cooking. Great festival, great stay!

Brand new comfy apartments at excellent price!

Brand new building, spacious studio (which was the envy of my conference colleagues who stayed in cramped hotel roomsat a higher price), modern facilities, quiet and comfortable. And better still at a very reasonable price!
Can't fault it, excellent for its star classification.
I'll definitely stay there again, highly reccommended.

A new hotel with no appealing feature

Excellent : close to the subway, convenient kitchen, laundry facility in the building, good noise isolation between rooms. Terrible : front desk closes at 11pm (don't show up after), common areas already worn (hallways look terrible), really bad noise isolation from the street (you hear people passing chatting by at night), only 4 TV channels available, internet is also tricky and every tiny single thing comes with a surcharge (sponge+dish liquid=5€, spa =7€, extra linen ...)

The place was clean, spacious and cheap but it was located in a commercial area. I did not feel safe walking back to the hotel at night (some streets had no lights and no one around); I don't know why they bother advertising free internet, because I could not pick a signal in my room on the third floor nor at my friends room on the 2nd floor and I could just barely connect in the lobby.

a little far but metro near

hotel condition was good but the hotel is at the last stop of the metro but the metro station is only a bout a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Not the greatest neighborhood but didn't feel threatened. Not too much around the hotel as the area was a mix between residential, commercial.

I stayed here for 1 night based on the other reviews and I can confirm it is excellent. Reception spoke perfect English, check in was quick and the place itself is very clean, comfortable and modern. Free internet access in the rooms too. Compared to the centr eof Paris the studio was like a palace with plenty of room, a small kitchenette if you need it and a decent sized batchroom. Definitely recommended. (plus I would recommend Cafe Renaud round the corner for a meal)

As Good as Most Dorms

Positives: Not far from the Metro, no traffic noise during the night, warm, clean, kitchenette with plenty of pans and plates and so on available.

Negatives: Near a construction site, so it got noisier around 7-8am; the door requires the key to be unlocked from the inside (fire hazard) and there is no sprinkler system in the room; the exercise room consisted of a stair climber, a rowing machine, and an exercise bike; two light switches in the room didn't work.

Overall we didn't feel entirely safe because of the fire hazard door/lack of sprinklers. The room wasn't carpeted which gave it a dormitory feeling, and the \"double bed\" we requested was two single beds pushed together, which was inconvenient. We were there for less than 48 hours and these things weren't a huge deal, but we probably wouldn't go back. Staff was very friendly and helpful though.

fantastic hotel just kinda out the way from main attraction, but hospitality was very good from the staff and management. i truly enjoyed my stay and would stay again at the hotel. Thanks fro a lovely stay.

Happy with our stay...

We spent 7 days at this hotel and we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and neat but a bit small. The bed is a fold out sofa and was a bit thin. Wi-fi connection was good and reliable.

The neighbourhood is quite good. There's a nearby train station and the Carrefour around the corner was much appreciated.

Would happily stay there again.

A modern apartment hotel, convenient located

The hotel is located in an area that is very easy to get in out of with car. And it has a secure underground garage for your car. It only takes 5 minutes to walk to the Metro which brings you to all the major Paris sights. The rooms are spacious and modern and with aircon. The reception is only open during working hou (until 19.00), preorder breakfast (7-10am). The reception was very serviceminded and helpful.
