This hotel is near the train station and we had to check in at one location and then walk to our next location. It all worked out, but the check in process was stressful. That being said, we enjoyed our stay and always felt safe and secure. No breakfast, but their coffee station was delicious and much appreciated. The hotel had everything we needed and was clean. Our luggage came three days late and they delivered our luggage to us. We were so happy! All in all, it was a great stay.

Budget option close to Termini, well connected

Great budget option if being near the main train station is important to you. The actual hotel is a nearby 2-star Hotel Sky, next to the metro station Vittorio Emanuele and 6-7 minutes on foot from the Roma Termini main railway station. The neighbourhood is okay and felt safe. The bed was okay, clean sheets and clean towels every day. Free coffee and pastries in the morning. We left our luggage in the room for free after check out. Cleaning the floor and the shower more often is needed. There was an electricity issue during our stay that got quickly fixed. The power outlets are not the easiest to work with, but do work. The wifi was okay for messaging, but nothing more. TV was practically useless (satellite TV with only few channels, no remote). If you're on a budget and need to stay close to Termini, do not spend time in the hotel and are okay with a 2-star hotel, this could be an option for you.

I booked the Hotel Filippo and upon arriving was told I was actually staying in another hotel, Hotel Sky, a pretty far walk from the original and much further from Termini. I only booked Filippo for its proximity to Termini. I took this up with the owner who merely laughed it off and acted like I had not said anything. Halfway through my stay, the air conditioner quit working. I tried to call with the phone in my room but it did not work. There wasn't even a dial tone and after dialing the number nothing ever happened. I had to jump through hoops to get my air conditioner fixed as there was never anyone on the property.

Near Termi Train station. 10 minute walk

Very small elevator up 7-8 stairs from ground level. They have rooms in several buildings, so before you drag your bags up to the 2nd floor checkin, find out if you are in the right building. Hot water had been turned off, but was turned on within an hour from when we called. TV did not work all the time. Staff with limited English.

Wonderful hidden gem

The hotel is very close to the metro stn Vittorio Emanuel from here one can go to Vatican, colosseum with etc. in fact we were given two rooms, the group owns three hotel, after reaching Filippo we were accommodated in hotel sky roma. The breakfast is good and 24hr coffee is an addon. Overall had a nice stay here.

Everything prefect just a little problem I had....

We had good time, very clean and quite place. But the only problem which bothered me a little over the night was, room 101 has a window toward outside the main gate anyone who comes in or walks around for smoking or something can easily see inside the room, the curtain is also not that thick. I had to keep the lights off after 7 or 8 pm.

location great as you only put your head down late

3 nights 4 days in Rome, loved it. 2nd time for both of us, we were moved to sky capital up 2 roads (Blocks in USA) the owner female (cant remember her name was soo helpful couldn't do enough for us she was brilliant.our flight going home was 1135pm and we got the room until 6pm for extra €15.00 well worth the spend.
Free water in room, coffee machine in breakfast room on all the time, breakfast consisted of toast/jam, fruit apples/oranges/pears both savory and sweet pastries, great fill for the morning.
Area a bit dodgy but as we had been there before it didn't phase us in any way, would stay again

Hotel not situated in a safe environment

Hotel Management did not provide what we had agreed on prior to booking. Breakfast extremely poor, no hot water kettle or tea/coffee in room. Conveniently situated near the Metro, but is not child safe. Room cramped but was well maintained.

Good place to stay

We ended up staying in Sky Hotel instead of Hotel Filippo (probably belongs to the same hotel group) for 4 days, no counter service but can be reached with 24 hours phone service. Mr Li is very nice, friendly and helpful. Roma Termini is within walking distance, very close to Metro station. The metro system in Rome is the worse system I had never encountered before. Be prepared to be a canned sardine!

We stayed 4 nights at the Filippo. The room was nice but the price was high compared to the next place we stayed at in Rome. We arrived at the hotel and had to call the owner/manager? and he came and met us and advised us we were not really staying at the Filippo but were going to walk a block or two with our luggage to the Skye Hotel. Breakfast was a choice of pastry (1) and coffee or tea at a small corner café about a block away. We asked about the bus to get around and he directed us to the underground, again a couple of blocks away. We then found on our own that we could get the bus close by to the Termini and catch a bus to anywhere we wanted to go from there. The hotel does have an elevator if that is important to you. In retrospect for the price it was too HIGH.

Convenient location to the train depot and subway

The graffiti which can be seen on the train depot walls from street view made us question the safety of the neighborhood, but the hotel was nice with several layers of security. Americans will need to accept that this is in an old building in Rome, not new construction typical of U.S. hotels. Appreciated that the hotel provided a driver to drop us off at the airport when we returned home.

Not fancy, but very clean and comfortable. Room lights were a bit dim. Hotels.com does not charge the credit card, but one must pay the night before check out with credit card.. Run by a family, not a large staff. Very accommodating. There are three hotels in the group. Filippo, Simone and Sky, located in the same area. Owner will assign on availability and preference.

Great inexpensive central location in Rome

The hotel Fillippo is a storefront for three close locations. We stayed in the Sky Hotel, which was quaint, quiet, comfortable, and inexpensive. Breakfast was a voucher at a nice local coffee shop. A brisk 15 min walk to the ancient Rome area and about 4 blocks from the main Rome train station. We would stay there again. The area is definitely non-Roman, but seemed safe.

Not your usual hotel

OK some people would find the neighborhood a little dicey, I mean it is only one block from the train station. But I was OK with that. This is not a normal hotel, with a big front door and a lobby. I went to the address and \"Hotel Filippo\" was one of many doorbells on what seemed to be an apartment building. I rang the doorbell, someone asked me if I had a reservation, and said he would be right down. So I was met at the front door by Mr. Li, who told me that he has 3 hotels, and my room would be on the next block. So off we went to another apartment building, and Li took me to my room which was comfortable (new bathroom fixtures, new king bed, nice comforter, but DARK, I think all the lightbulbs were 25-watt. He said breakfast was included and gave me a coupon for a coffee and croissant at a place around the corner. So, as I said, not a normal hotel but I like the convenient location and would stay there again.

not what i signed up for

The hotel was not actually located where it was advertised to be. the owner owns several different properties in different buildings and we walked to the Filippo but had to walk a number of block further (with luggage) to another hotel, Hotel Sun. If we knew the actual location and were met there we would have saved time and effort (after a train journey). The hotel was clean and quiet but we were in a corner with a window below ground level. Flet kind of like a cave. and there was no hot water after 11AM or so so my partner did not get a hot shower.

There are better properties available

All i would say that there are better properties available for similar price range in Rome with better service. I compared my stay with a few other people from Australia and I believe apart from the fact that the hotel is very close to the train station (main Rome station), there are no other positives i have about the hotel.

That's a great place to stay if you are looking for something cheap in the center of Rome. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and clean, had a fridge, in-room safe and air conditioning. The location is also perfect, a minute walk from Vittorio Emmanuel II metro station and 5 minute walk from Termini station.

I was very impressed with the size of the rooms for European standards and the cleanliness was a real treat. Only downsize is the noise from outside, but being a sound sleepr that sould not bother too many people. I loved the location to all the sights and the transit if required.

Bei unserem Check In wurden wir an der Türe von der Ehefrau des Hotelbesitzers abgefangen. Sie sagte wir müssen in ein anderes Hotel gehen, da dieses nicht bewohnbar sei. Den Grund dafür konnte Sie uns nicht nennen. Im anderen Hotel angekommen bekamen wir einen Schock. Das Zimmer war vollkommen verdreckt. Die Böden voller Staub und Haare. Steckdosen funktionierten nicht beim anschliessen des ladekabels kamen grosse Funken aus der Steckdose. ALLE Badetücher waren mit Haaren behaftet. Auf dem Bettlacken war ein grosser Trüber Fleck. Als wir den Hotelinhaber darauf angesprochen haben, wollte er nicht darüber reden. Unter Androhung der Polizei brachte er uns dann in ein anderes Hotel. Das Zimmer war etwas grösser und das Bettlacken \"sauberer\". Jedoch haben wir überall im Zimmer Haare gehabt und ähnliches. Aufgrund der Auslastung der Hotels in Rom waren wir gezwungen zwei Nächte dort zu verbringen. Ich habe jedoch Plasticksäcke auf dem Bett augelegt und mir ein Handtuch in der Stadt gekauft.

Diese Unterkunft kann nur mit der Nähe zum Bahnhof punkten. Das Zimmer war winzig und von dem angepriesenen Schallschutz war nichts zu merken. Wir hatten ein Eckzimmer und das Gefühl, dass uns ständig der Bus über das Kopfkissen fuhr. Das Hotel ist auch eher eine umgebaute Wohnung und von aussen nur schwer zu finden. Das Frühstück besteht aus süssen Teilchen. Eine Kaffeemaschine steht bis 22 Uhr zur Verfügung.

L’adresse indiquée n’est pas celle de l’hotel. Il s’agit en fait de la réception. L’hotel est situé quelques rues plus loin. Le quartier n’est pas terrible et mis à part à l’arriv nous n’avons eu aucun autre contact avec du personnel de l’hôtel. Sinon la chambre est confortable avec son grand lit.

Fuimos unas semana con la familia y las habitaciones muy limpias y comodas.
El desayuno muy rico y muy variado.
El personal que ves muy poco porque te dan mucha intimidad estuvo muy servicial.

Ottimo hotel vicino Roma Termini.

Camera e struttura generalmente pulita, anche se ho notato che soggiornando più notti la camera non viene pulita per intero ogni giorno. Ottimi i servizi, utile quello di sveglia. Posizione poco distante dalla stazione Roma Termini anche se in una zona poco turistica. Receptionist poco presente e non sempre reperibile. Esperienza generalmente molto positiva, ci torno al giusto prezzo.

La primera impresión es chocante

La primera vez que llegas te choca que no haya recepción y el casero tenga habitaciones repartidas por varios edificios. Pero luego llegas a las habitaciones y la verdad están muy nuevas y limpias. El baño todo muy limpio. El dedayuno muy completo. Con zumo, huevos, salados y dulces. Le doy un ocho sobre diez.

The room is spacious, with a queen bed. You can find all in the room. The air-conditioning is good. The landlord can speak Mandarin, English and Italian. We love the breakfast. There are croissant and drinks. Chocolate and coffee are provided 24 hours.

De inicio achei estranho um hotel dentro de um prédio residencial, mas depois percebi que isso é comum na Itália.
Os arredores parecem feios na primeira impressão, e perigosos, mas depois da primeira noite notei que não há perigo, e o susto é mera falta de costume com a cidade com prédios e ruas antigas, e fachadas pouco velhas e sujas.
Dentro do hotel tudo era bem organizado, limpo e funcional.
Havia uma máquina de café para uso irrestrito, cama muito confortável, banheiro com uma ducha muito boa.
Apenas o sinal de wi-fi que era muito fraco, e só funcionava na area de café, mas nada que atrapalhasse.
Se precisa de um hotel com boas acomodações e próximo de tudo, é uma ótima opção.

Checkin 時職員把我們帶到第二個酒店 ,進酒店前一共要走過4度閘 ,安全性可想而知 ,此價錢還有免費早餐供應實在難得 ,房間該有的都有了 ,職員很友善 ,酒店有提供地圖 ,而且酒店位置就在火車站和地鐵站旁 ,推薦給budget 有限的人入住 ,唯一不可取是wifi 速度

이번 여행에서 열개정도의 호텔을 머물렀는데 베니스이 Hilt#n 호텔 다음으로 아이들이 좋았다고 말하는 곳이다. 직원이 상주하진 않으나 콜하면 바로 와주시고 문제가 생기면 바로 해결주어서 편안했다..위치도 청결도 가격대비 최고이다
킹사이즈 베드가 편안해서 좋았다.

Clean and kind host

Location isnt very perfect, but close to termini station. If you need to catch early train or bus i recommend this place. Room wasnt that big but facility was clean and new and i loved the kind staffs the most! I love it.

편리하고 저렴하고 깨끗한 호텔에 직원들도 아주 친절히 대해주십니다.

마음 편하게 6박을 머물렀습니다. 침대 매트리스가 편안했으며 킹사이즈 침대라 아이들이랑 함께 자는데..편리했습니다. 아이들이 귀여운 수동 엘리베이터에 반해서...베니스의 힐튼 호텔 다음으로 좋았다고 평하는 곳이랍니다. 시몬호텔이었지만..전화하면 몇분내로 바로 와주십니다. 가격대비 아주 훌륭했다고 생각합니다.

Todo muy bien. Es un piso en lugar de edificio de hotel. El desayuno self service estaba bien y la maquina de cafe la tenias gratis la nayor parte del dia.
Lo negativo: la entrada al hotel (es un portal antiguo y esa zona de la calle no es muy acogedora) y el colchon (tengo problemas de espalda y acabe con dolor). La limpieza del polvo y el suelo podria ser mejor. Eso si todos los dias recogian la habitacion y cambiaban las toallas. En resumen por lo que pagamos y lo cerca que está de Termini estaba muy bien

Como acabar com uma viajem

Minha estádia FOI PÉSSIMA comprei um hotel e Qd chegamos tarde da noite, uma noite muito fria esperamos no CHAMADO HOTEL interfonamoa é uma pessoa respondeu para aguardar, aguardamos cerca de 15 min Qd aparece um japonês falando que o hotel estava cheio e que íamos para o outro hotel da rede, andamos exatos 20 min em uma região soturna, sem contar o frio e o fato de andarmos com as malas naquela região!! Estamos tomando as providências cabíveis, fizemos a filmagem do trajeto todo!! Péssima experiência
