We had an excellent stay in a lovely hotel. Its in a centre location yet far enough away from amny noise. The room wad clean and well presented. The bathroom was very large, the bedroom was very clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast wad delightful full very fresh with freshly made eggs anyway you like it.

Staff were very helpful and amiable, and accommodated our later arrival. The room was a little weather worn but served its purpose for a quick weekend break. We were on the ground floor right at the front of the hotel which meant that was a bit of noise of an evening and had to keep the curtains closed all the time or would be on view to everyone walking past ☺️ Breakfast was fab and all in all a pleasant stay in Brugge

My son and I stayed here for a city break in Bruges. We loved the location, the hotel is right in the centre, 1 minute from the square. We felt very safe walking back in the evening. The staff were very friendly and let us keep our bags in the hotel once we had checked out. The breakfast was great, lots of options and freshly cooked egg to your specifications. Lovely, spacious room, and the bathroom room had 2 sinks. The bath was very big. We will definitely come back!

We really couldn’t fault this lovely little hotel. The staff we so friendly and helpful, the accommodation lovely and the breakfast very good and plenty of choice.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff couldn’t have done more to help us. Every request we made was done with a very welcome smile.

We will definitely be going back in the future and can definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel is in a 14th century building and was really nice. We had to climb a wooden spiral staircase (probably original) to get our cute room.
The included breakfast was good and satisfying.
The staff were AMAZING other than me trying to explain that the WiFi in our part of the building could not access the internet. This was annoying but a small downside to a quaint hotel with great service.

The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the hotel has plenty of character. The complimentary breakfast was always very well stocked and there was a surprising choice of cereals, breads, pastries and fruits. The location of the hotel is excellent - a stone's throw from the main square and walkable distance from most of the tourist attractions. We can't recommend Boterhuis Hotel highly enough :-)

Worst hotel in our 16 day trip. Nothing here has quality. I had to rate one star and it is because of its location, because it was top notch location, but that’s it. Literally I don’t know how this hotel has 4.3 stars in google maps. Don’t fall for it, nor for the pictures. It’s not accurate at all. There’s a man in the reception who made us feel less than welcome, it was an awkward and weird situation, check in was like 15 minutes long because he was not even there and then it came with and awkward conversation that was more like a scold. Got to our room and it was old, but not in a nice, cozy, charming way. It was outdated, the bed felt old and there were only two cheap pillows for a king size bed (2 single beds together). In the bathroom there were no tissues, and toilet paper was that yellowish cheap one, and rough. The “shampoo/soap/bodywash” came in a plastic bag, which could say a lot about this “hotel”. This place sells itself as a boutique hotel or something similar, but there’s nothing “boutique” about it in any space of the hotel whatsoever. There are plenty of options in beautiful Bruges, no need to stay here ever again.

First the person at check in was very nice and helpful We felt very well welcomed. The room was not like an ordinary hotel. It was like a house with 3 floors( 2 bedrooms). It was large, clean and 2 big bathroom. Perfect for a family or 2 couples. Breakfast was great and inclyded.

Bruges is beautiful

The hotel is relatively clean, the included breakfast is great, however if you have the misfortune to be assigned a room in the back, the stairs are a nightmare to climb with lugage and to top it of there was no light in the stairs, on the plus side you are walking distance to all the tourist attractions, restaurants, shops

If you arrive or leave bruges by train there is a city free shuttle from the station to about half a block from the hotel

The property is very convenient to all tourist activities and restaurants. They serve an A plus breakfast included and the staff are extremely pleasant. We were placed in the oldest part of the hotel which is accessed by a very narrow set of ancient (evidently historic) stairs which is difficult with luggage. There are alot of newer rooms. If I were to book again I would request the new part of the hotel only. I saw those rooms and they were lovely. There is a free shuttle bus to the train station run by the city which is only a half block from the hotel. That is a real plus.

Property is clean and staff friendly. Only issue so far is with parking, as there isn’t parking for vehicles over 20yrs - we have a roof box, but staff were helpful in providing suggestions though it is a bit of a walk and we are are little apprehensive of safety as it’s our first time here.

Amazing old property close to the centre of Bruges. Very nice staff and a great omelette for breakfast.
Only suggestion would be that the address of the nearest public parking garage were given on the site otherwise one can find oneself driving on roads one shouldn’t - bad job Apple Maps.

Friendly staff in ideally situated hotel

Arrived late evening and the lady on reception was waiting for us. Showed us to our ground floor room, which was spacious and comfortable. The free breakfast was appreciated and all the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The Boterhuis is ideally situated, close to the Markt square and main tourist attractions. There was some noise from the street outside, but that's to be expected in a city. Overall, very satisfied with our stay

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was basic but very clean. Very nice bathroom. Stairs to go up to rooms were very steep, narrow and winding- they were dangerous to navigate. Website advertised onsite parking but it was in fact in a parking garage a few streets over. It was very difficult to get in and out of. They also advertised a fridge in the room, but there was in fact no fridge.

Fabulous stay at Hotel Boterhuis. Lovely room, very clean. Staff very friendly and welcoming particularly Hiskia who checked us in and the lovely lady who served breakfast each morning.

Lovely boutique hotel. Large comfortable room and a good breakfast included. The only downsides were there is no lift so if you are at the top of the hotel as we were it's a bit of a struggle carrying luggage up the steep stairs, and there was building work next door so we were woken up earlier than we liked.

Room is big but not what was described in Expedia. Road noise, guest checking in/out, noise from people come and go. Can’t sleep at all.

Desk staff all nice and helpful too.
Not a 'luxury room' and was quite small? But, for a short break, couldnt fault it, and great value for money too.
Would defo book again and recommend to others for short breaks.

Perfect city break location

We had a quiet room on the back side of the hotel (Room #13). Quiet air conditioner. Good WiFi. Great breakfast incl eggs cooked to order. Extremely helpful staff. We had to leave very early in the morning, and they arranged for a cab. The proprietor even offered to take us in her car if something went wrong with the cab!

The hotel was fine and a nice location....on a quieter street but close enough to walk to all the nearby sites. It was very clean and the people at the hotel were super friendly and the breakfast was awesome. The only complaint i have is what i call the \"impossible bathroom situation\"... the shower is located in the corner of the bathroom without any barriers, so the entire floor of the bath is flooded with water, every time. This is not ideal at all.

Breakfast was good. Location was great. We had a room on the ground floor, opposite the reception desk. It was noisy in the morning because of all the traffic (pedestrians and vehicles) going past the huge windows of the room which looked out onto the pavement. I don't know how the other rooms are or why we weren't given one of the rooms shown in the photos when we booked. Definitely not going back there.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Boterhuis. There
is no restaurant or bar onsite however, these are not needed as Bruges is full of bars and restaurants all just minutes away. Would definitely stay there again.

Spacious and unique room. It was nice having 2 separate beds for the kids instead of sharing a double like other hotels. Bed was firm. Things i would have liked (but weren’t exactly necessary) were everyday tissue, a fridge, and a little more shelf space. Location was the best.
