We stayed in one of the 2 rooms overlooking the canal which made the entire weekend! view was amazing, central hotel. We didn't have breakfast but it is available for 16euro pp. You have to appreciate the building is old and therefore expect its quirkiness. The room did have dust around the beams and was very noisy AM as underneath the breakfast area. I would stay here again as location was perfect

This is a well located hotel in the centre of Bruges. The check in was efficient. The room and bathroom were well looked after.
We stayed on NYE. The hotel staff brought chocolates to the room along with a card signed by the staff, which was a lovely gesture. We chose not to book breakfast as we wanted the flexibility to sleep on New Years Day before checking out.

The room itself was nice and it was clean. However, when we arrived at 7pm for check in, we rang the bell and waited, rang the bell and waited, then we called the \"late check in number\", no answer. We rang the bell on the counter again and waited. Then we tried the late check in number again, and we were told the person would be there in a bit, they were in the toilet. I sign at the counter letting us know they had stepped away with an approximate return time would have reduced our stress of not knowing what to do . . .
The cleaning staff were very inconsistent sometimes we had excellent upkeep and other times no supplies only towel replacement. You just never knew what to expect. Also, the cleaning supplies - a tall cart of clean towels and linens and a second tall cart of dirty linens were left right outside our room for 2 days and a third day of only the clean linens.
The highlight of the stay was the excellent breakfast and friendly breakfast attendant. She was the kindest person on staff!!

The hotel was well situated in the old part of Bruges. The hotel arranged parking (20E per night) so we left the car and walked everywhere. Our room overlooking the canal was spacious but it only had one very small wardrobe and the bathroom had a not brilliant shower over the bath. The only mirror was in the bathroom. It was all a bit ‘tired’. We didn’t eat in the hotel but we did have a delicious ice cream with strawberries on the terrace overlooking the canal. There were many restaurants within easy walking distance.

At this hotel you are close to all the tours, shopping and restaurants. The hotel bar is lovely and a great bartender. We had the economy room, so it was a bit small but it is what we expected. We chose this hotel and the room for the view of the canal which was excellent as was the central location for exploring Bruges. However our room was described as “basic” canal view and the bathroom facilities were certainly basic, with no handle on the toilet room door. It could do with some modernisation and also some thought given to decoration as room and corridors very sparse. However the new basement bar was lovely and the bar staff very friendly.

The position of the hotel is amazing. It is one of the buildings in one of the most photographed places in Bruges. The hotel is very quiet, the room was very large, though slightly oldish. Mattress not particularly comfortable and a cupboard in the room had a broken door (nothing important, though). Nice to have a kettle in the room. The breakfast was not impressive, chemical orange juice, canned fruits instead of fresh fruits and not a great selection of cheese. They did though had good bread and pastry. I appreciated that mentioning that I wasn't very sattisfied with the breakfast they insisted I shouldn't pay for it. The price was good and overall it was a good stay.

Super location in this very walkable old part of the city with so much to see and do, or eat drink or shop if you wished. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved staying here. The staff/ owner was so welcoming and nothing was too difficult. The rooms were large and the bathroom was very roomy. Breakfast was well worth booking as it filled us well and had a variety of choices. Last but not least, the hotel was on the canal and the view from the breakfast room was absolutely breathtaking. We would highly recommend Hotel Bourgoensch Hof to anyone wanting to visit Bruges.

1) When I made reservation I called to make sure i was booking for the canal side only to find out when I got there that none of the 3 rooms were canal side. Due to the time of year no adjustments were able to be made.
2) The housekeeping left much to be desired. Not only was I without tissue the whole time, not 1 time were empty bottles removed from any of the 3 rooms in my reservation. The showers were only rinsed. To cap it off there were hairs in the \"fresh towels\".
3) That being said, the staff in the front office were extremely nice.

Great location on Canal, but needs to update
We chose this hotel due to being on the canal. Read about a room at water level and booked it. That was the best part of the hotel. Fabulous view of the canal, swan came to our window each morning. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. The room lacked any real amenities. No trash can, no bedside lamps, carpet is dated as is furniture. No plug for coffee maker (only instant coffee available) except by the bed or in bathroom. Check-in employee was nice, but not organized. Hand wrote the wi-fi code on a map and handed to us, He was nice to help with the luggage and the man who works (a lot of shifts apparently) was super nice in the mornings making us coffee in the lobby/bar area. LOVED the Waffle Cart restaurant and bar attached. Other places close by seemed to offer more for similar pricing.

This hotel is in a lovely location, and was ok for a 1 night stay. However, sadly, most of the interior of the building looks as though it was thrown together in a hurry, using the cheapest materials.
The door to our bathroom did not shut properly, the wardrobe was constructed out of cheap, white furniture board & the handles were missing from the drawers, meaning you could not open them.
The breakfast room looked lovely, and was in keeping with the age of the building. It was like we were staying in 2 very different properties, and it's a real shame the rest of the building is not of a similar quality.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Bourgoensch Hof in Bruges for the second time, and it was just as delightful as I remembered! The staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable throughout your stay. The hotel itself is charming, with a lovely atmosphere that perfectly complements the beauty of Bruges.

For those driving, the hotel does offer parking nearby, which is convenient. However, if you have a larger car, you may find the parking space a bit tight. Thankfully, I was able to find a local car park nearby without any trouble.

When departing the elevator on floor zero and turning to the right, there is a small step up. The bottom of the step is recessed. My foot got caught in the recess and the top of the floor base. I was tripped up by my toes and fell to the floor.

Checked in right in time at 3pm so immediately granted access to room. Hotel couldn’t be any better located in Bruge. Right next to the main square. Friendly check-in and room was fabulous with views out of this world. Felt very lucky for a change. Hotel is clean and keeping with the style of the area. Didn’t really get much of a smile or nod from any staff whilst in the hotel but hey, it is what it is. I’d certainly go back to it.
