This was our first time in Indonesia and we had a good experience. We enjoyed a walk from the ferry terminal to the hotel even though a short cab ride would have been easier. We booked adjoining rooms, but since they were very busy they offered to upgrade us if we could accept rooms across the hall. Breakfast was phenomenal, much better than any Western hotel we've stayed in with tons of spicy options. Lovely. We spent a few stretches at the pool and in the gym. Walked to the Nagoya hill mall a few times during the trip to have dinner and local treats. Great service and lovely people. Probably my favorite spot on our 6 week, multi country Asia trip.

**Disappointing Stay – Safety and Service Issues**

We stayed in a triple room for two nights but only received amenities for two. The air conditioner couldn’t be switched to heating, and the bathroom was poorly designed. Water spread across the floor after showering due to a single drain near the toilet and a broken ventilation fan. My sister slipped, which scared my elderly mother.

We tried calling to report the issue, but the phone didn’t work. After going to the front desk, staff sent someone quickly. Only the phone was fixed—none of the other problems were addressed. The ventilation was centrally controlled and turned off while the floor was still wet. We were told to call room service just to get extra carpets. A room change was requested but never arranged.

The shuttle bus only runs on Fridays and Saturdays, which was inconvenient.

Overall, poor facilities and lack of proper support made the stay very disappointing.

We booked 3 non smoking rooms and paid in full in advance. When we reached the hotel to check in, we were told there were no non smoking rooms left. We waited for more than 2 hours because we only wanted non smoking rooms as most of us are seniors and we have weak lungs. In the end, 2 rooms were given to us and we waited another half an hour for the last room. Then we were told that the last room was also a non smoking room. To our horror, we realised they lied to us and gave us a smoking room. The whole room was very smoky, the toilet was worst. We were not able to breathe well. We called the front office to change room but they said no room available till the next day. At night, there was a live band, the music was so loud that we were not able to sleep. Called up the front office and they said the noise was from the next building and there was nothing much they could do. The live band continued till 12 midnight. The next day at 7 am, we could hear someone practising on the drums. The bath towels were almost black in colour, very dirty. Overall not a pleasant experience there. We do not recommend this hotel.

Weak and Unstable WiFi. Have to switch hotel as room and lobby Wifi is very unstable. Have to resort to mobile data. Heard this in the earlier comments. But choose to stay, now regretted.

Laundry only delivered when you call up to pay -unexpected service in grand hotel like this.

Unstable wifi connection and daily renewed of key card (i stayed 3 nights, so i had to renew for 3 times) are the worst thing happened to me during my staycation here. On top of that, i've got bitten by some kind of flies or insects during my stay in the room, especially during my sleep. Definitely not returning to this hotel again.

Hotel is a short 5 mins ride from Harbour Bay ferry terminal. A quick ride to Nagoya Mall too. Large spacious room. Comfortable bed. Location is along a main road that does get noisy on a busy weekend. Although there are double doors going onto the balcony, rooms are not well sound-proofed so not insulated against traffic and loud neighbours.

Great swimming pool but ridiculous policy of 2 towels per room (I needed a towel for myself and one for each of my 2 children but the pool desk would not allow me any more than 2 towels regardless of anything I said). Staff are lovely and keen to assist but there’s little point asking room service for anything as nobody can speak English to understand requests. Rooms are huge but are old, damp and in need of a makeover. Towels in bathrooms are old and yellowed instead of white. Face washers are not provided at all. For the price it was a good place to stay and conveniently located but nothing special.

I had the premium suite. The room is spacious and nice views. Breakfast was ok quite a range of food.

There is 3x daily transport to nagoya hill and BCS malls. However they should have cater more trips because i notice once the seat is full, then you have no luck going there with the free transport.

Yes,my title as such.Checked in around 2.30 - 3pm. I booked a suite room for me & my husband. Room checked all in order, clean and nothing suspicious. Here comes the safe. No guidelines / instructions on how to input the 4 or 6 digits personal guests access numbers. We usually have our own personal 4 to 6 digits travel safe codes, but this time we're unable to input ours, until I figured out it was the 4 digit room number 1201. Like usual when we travel, we would have left all our valuables & passports in the safe. However, this time with a heavy heart, I decided not to except some cash and our 2 passports. We left the room for shopping and all until we came back at 11pm plus when we're unable to tap into our room. We went down to get the access card done. Upon entering the room, we suddenly saw a plate of welcome fruits which was not there, our complimentary drinks are opened. THE SAFE WAS WIDE OPEN!!!! Our 2 passports were placed neatly next to our bed. The toilet has been used with SOILED BABY PAMPERS!!! Even used our towels... There were some amount of cash which we left was missing...
Called in the Hotel Manager, but all she could get us is just an apology which anyone can get away with.... My hubby and I have already find some sources on getting hold of the hotel owner. We can called in the police to make it worst but we know this is the work of the staffs like how can you give access to the occupied room??? If you were in our place?? DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!!

Looking around we did not see any other hotel that looked better than Planet Holiday. Upon arriving we were surprised at the high security at the entrance .. We have never seen a security inspection of a car before it enters the property including an undercarriage inspection with a mirror . there is also a metal detector check prior to entry to Lobby.... Great security.. the Pool was in excellent shape deep and clean. The dining area was ok and we were treated very well by hard working young lady named Angel... The room and hotel is dated but clean... The reception staff was excellent they even found my friends back pack that he lost at the bar the night before with all the contents including cash and new leather belts.

This is not the first time we stay in this hotel, staffs is friendly, room is comfort. The only problem is the room service food and prices, i think they had increased the prices quite expensive and foods choices is very limited compare to last time. Breakfast in the cafe foods is also getting lesser, i think maybe they had change the chef or management.. Need to improve.

Hotel failed to leave up to their standard. We had booked Executive Suite and unfortunately the room was unfit for this category. It was shocking the toilet, floor and room was not properly clean and we have to use cloth to wet and dry it. Indoor room amenities was utilised but not replace including the crockery , kitchen and coffee. Executive lounge was not open on the 17th floor and was unfit to be categorised under Exutive Suite. Paid the dearest room rate but served the lowest service. Very disappointed as we need to change room till we get tired out of changed. 5 days and bad breakfast as food was not replenished. Not recommended for a stay.
