Staff support was most definitely in need. Only 1 person at counter to do check in, questions, extremely slow. Transportation was so behind schedule the whole time, causing us to miss arrival times for activities that were time specific. We had to order uber instead when we specifically stayed at your location based on shuttle schedules to and from scheduled events. Smell in hallway and room was absolutely horrific. It was a cross between a very pungent chemical smell with a strong musky mold aroma enough to make your eyes water and we were with our 6yr old child. We all woke up with massive headaches, and very progressive deep coughs (ALL) of us. Tried to purchase water from vending machines and they were out of order.
Last evening when we called down to get the shuttle schedule the staff gave incorrect information and we're completely clueless. We asked for a room change which apparently couldn't be accommodated yet, you were not sold out. The room toilet didn't work as well. When issues were explained there was no resolution, compensation, or concerns on your end. We have stayed here in the past and it was wonderful, but this visit was beyond awful and i would like reimbursement and we will be seeking urgent care as a family and this needs to be addressed as this is a medical chemical hazard that you have going on.

We were very upset to realize we were in an outside room, no breakfast included, and we were only able to use the shuttle once. And that time the shuttle handicap lift wouldn’t work, so we waited an hour in the bus. The times do not coordinate with events they have happening and it is through a 3rd party, so they do not take care of their guests. We were stranded twice. The first time was at the resort after their sponsored show. We had to walk back in the freezing cold, I have asthma and a torn meniscus in my right knee!! The second time was after the Grand Ole Opry! We were right at the stop at 10pm, as the bus was heading out. We did not get to go through the shop prior to the show due to the mechanical issue with the bus. We went straight into the shop, did not linger, needed to use the restroom but didn’t have time. And, the shuttle was pulling off as we approached the pick up spot, on time! A wonderful couple catching the Wyndham shuttle said they would get in their truck at their hotel and come back to get us. Praise the Lord, they did!

Cons- No cash all digital yeah I know thats where we are going but when your electric or network isn't working good for the card to get in door it's annoying to have to go keep getting cards worked on to get in room. I think old key method should come back in case grid goes down my opinion That is it.

Pros-The staff was great. Jackie was amazing even helped my husband get in I have to use a wheelchair so that extra help was awesome. Room is clean bathroom clean. Nicely decorated. Nice lighting. Meeting rooms are wonderful. Pool looked amazing. Restaurant good live music. Decor in restaurant is music related which is nice.

Overall- We originally got only one night but loved it so much we decided to book it for 1 extra night. At the time of this review they have free shuttle service to mall, general Jackson showboat, Grand Ole Opry. This is great for being near everything I didn't get the room I usually get at other places but so you know, our room was great for a person in a wheel chair regual bath with shower. Room was big for my wheelchair. The king bed was nice we have a king and this was bigger so I figured maybe it's a California king idk.

In concussion:- go if you want to be near things .

Okay, but not great.

The staff of this hotel is very friendly and helpful, and the room we had was fine--seemed very clean, beds were comfortable, nice-sized fridge.
The problem with the hotel was other guests. We had an outdoor facing room, and the smell of pot was apparent from the outdoors (coming from the first floor sidewalk, we were on the top floor). There was a small gap under our door, and the smell seeped through at night, and then again in the morning--wake and bake! The noise from other guests was also unacceptable. Lots of loud yelling until at least 11pm, again I think coming from the first floor, but clearly could be heard on the third floor. We called the front desk, and it settled down a little later, but at 11pm, it was already too late.
This was our second time to stay here, but I don't know if we will be back.
I will add that the restaurant is good, also with very friendly service.

Just an okay stay

We stay here every year at the same time to do Black Friday shopping. We always eat in the restaurant and enjoy a non-traditional Thanksgiving Dinner of our choice. This year the only option was a Thanksgiving Buffet. We will be exploring different options for next year.

I'm not sure why I have a credit card charge for $28.96 USD when I was told there were no charges when I checked out - this is the second time they've done this to me - maybe it's an honest mistake. This is not what we expected for a Marriot property. We were in an external room, more of a motel style, and felt really run down.
When entering our room we found 3 different bugs on one of the beds. This is unacceptable.
We went to the front desk and had to negotiate for an inside facing room. I get that it was booked up, but guests should not have to settle for a room with bugs. I will not stay there again,

Our room was clean and nice. The facility was lovely and the restaurant on the 1st floor was great! I don’t like that they won’t accept cash but that doesn’t change the experience. Saida at the front desk was awesome! We were told a bus to the Grand Ole Opry was available but it wasn’t and she took it upon herself to get us there without any problems. Her help was truly appreciated! Thank you!

The Inn is clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent. The restaurant in the hotel is very good, as is the coffee stand. The exterior rooms facing the street are a little loud, but nothing terrible.

Excellent Service!!! Our A/C wasn’t working at 10:30 pm, and by 11:00 pm, they had diagnosed the issue and literally replaced the entire unit. And the gentleman was so nice. I will continue to stay here!

There was supposed to be shuttle service to the Grand Ol Opry on show nights, but for some reason it didn’t run this night and was the main reason we stayed there. Hotel is clean and safe.
Average nothing bad, but nothing great either. About half the price of the main Opry hotel and we were only staying one night so it served its purpose.

This place is ok, but too expensive for what is offered. No complimentary breakfast, an indoor pool thay makes the entire building smell like chlorine, a sad restaurant, and almost $400/night for a room with hard beds and a clogged toilet upon arrival.

Restaurant was not open for breakfast and the only option was a cafe near the pool that only had one option of warm breakfast food. My room was on the outside of the building so it was noisy, exposed and inconvenient to get to from inside the building. Overall, a very expensive hotel for the services offered.

Before there was a Nashville, there was a trail. Buffalo carved it through the cane and hills of Middle Tennessee, moving between salt licks that drew every living thing for miles.

Native hunters followed the buffalo. French traders followed the hunters.

Settlers widened the path into a road, and that road became Dickerson Pike. The Main House has been standing here since 1824, when it opened as Maple Manor, a ten-room property known for its garden parties, weddings, and community gatherings.

The Pike grew into the Dixie Highway, then into a stretch of mid-century motel boom. Guest buildings went up in the 1950s, the pool was poured in 1957, and in 1964 the property took on a new name: the Congress Inn.

Every generation found a reason to stop here. The name is a nod to the salt that started it all.

The ranch is what we built on top of it. Main House restored, rooms refreshed, pool back open.

Room to Roam, on the same ground where roaming has always been the point.
