Check-in was easy and the staff was helpful in giving me directions to the nearest supermarket and directions for using public transportation. Breakfast was excellent. However, I don't recommend this hotel. Room was small and had no phone, no ice bucket and no refrigerator.. There are no ice or vending machines in the hotel at all. Hotel is about a 30 minute drive from the city center and is some distance from the airport as well. Wi-Fi was good and bed was comfortable and room was clean

I loved my stay at Das Seidl! The neighborhood was so pleasant and quiet and what I liked the most is that, as an American, you get a sense of the day to day in a regular neighborhood, which I enjoy. I like the sense of being part of a small community. Shout out to Nicole and Anja! They were always kind and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We had a late flight in and the reception was closed therefore we used the self check in. We had 2 rooms and managed to get into the first fine but couldn’t locate the email with the second rooms reservation code. After 15 minutes of looking we called the emergency number on the reception for assistance when it’s closed. The person on the other end of the phone was almost angry that we called him, basically yelled at me down the phone for ‘making his life harder’ and apparently not understanding how difficult his job is.
Once we managed to check in the stay was very pleasant, rooms were clean and well equipped, they offer free coffee in reception which was a lovely touch and the staff we spoke to were very helpful.
The only other downside was the location - it’s in almost a residential area and not within walking distance of much. We were trying to get into Munich city centre and Uber doesn’t seem to work around the hotel and found it hard to get one so used public transport instead which took a bit longer but got where we needed to go.

It's not a bad place but the room has no frills. There was no fridge and the hotel will not provide ice. The room, although it didn't feel old in any way, just seemed a little cheap. For example, sound from the hallway was unmuffled.

Most of the staff were outwardly friendly; one who seemed more reserved was likely so because her English isn't as strong as that of her co-workers. I can't fault her for not being fluent in a foreign language, especially when my German is non-existent.

I applaud the hotel for not going crazy with their rates during Oktoberfest. While the price higher was higher than the room is worth, it wasn't through the roof like almost every other option around Munich during this event. Book this place right now if you plan to attend Oktoberfest next year.

As others have said, the breakfast is great. There wasn't a huge amount of options but there should be enough to satisfy almost anyone. I really appreciated the attention to detail. There was one staff member I saw there more than anyone else. At one point, I noticed her inspecting a lemon wedge. It passed her inspection and so she carefully placed it onto the tray with perfectly in line with the others. This simple act told me that she takes pride in her work and that nothing subpar will be served to any guest.

Won't stay again

Check in is on-line at the desk and you have to enter your booking reference number and last name to start. Then fill in a few fields and passport number last (foreigners). A pain when there are errors. Very time consuming when there are afew checking in ahead of you.

The place is great, and I will stay there again. We had only one experience that wasn't good. On having dinner there, my agent and I selected just a salad. Small, we thought, because we had already had several things to eat during the afternoon. The waitress proposed that she'd put some extra walnuts inside, and said we shouldn't worry it was still the same salad. We said \"sure\" but were surprised when the bill came and the salad was almost three times as expensive as on the menu. It had been larger than we expected (and needed), and the price was not unreasonable, but we should have been properly informed what to expect. A professional (bait and switch?) slip of one employee. But against it were plenty of small and larger things that the overall experience was still very good.

Pleasant hotel with easy access to s Bahn via bus stop right outside.
The rooms are a little small but comfortable with a nice shower.
Restaurant is very nice and good value with friendly staff.

This is well out of the main city but the trains and buses are very regular. The staff here are standout, very helpful and friendly. Our room was nice, with a good bathroom. Our only complaint about the room would be the terrible lighting. We are all for ambience but this was ridiculous, to see what was in our bags, we had to put them on the beds. And above the bed there is a picture arrangement with lights behind it that makes it impossible to sit up in bed. As i say, this was our only complaint.

This was the first time in Germany for us. The hotel is in a good location if you are fine taking public transportation. It is a 10 minute walk to the train station which will have you downtown in 15 minutes. The check in was quick and easy. The lady at the front desk spoke English and was very helpful. They have paid parking but there is free parking on the streets around the hotel and we never had a problem getting a spot. Our room was nice and clean. The bathroom is nice and the shower has hot water and good pressure. The bed for me was a little to soft and the pillows were not the best but overall I would definitely recommend this place and stay again.

I had a great experience, the rooms are confortable, the hotel staff is very friendly and very attentive. Although it is not in the center of Munich, you can get there in 20 minutes. Pucheim is filled with shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and places to eat and off course beer gardens.

I was on a business trip when I stayed. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. My disappointment were with the Internet service which was very, very slow. I asked about it and the staff told that the hotel was full, that cause the internet service to be extremely slow. Then was the dinner at the restaurant when we order a T-bone steam medium and it arrived 45 minute later over cooked. they offered to prepared another but after a long day at work, hungry and 45 minutes there was not room for that.

A Hidden Gem

The service of the staff was exemplary, the condition and cleanliness of the hotel superb and the breakfasts to die for! The only reservation is the noise from passing traffic, which is intrusive if you want to sleep with the windows open. I would most definitely use the hotel again and recommend it.

Nice hotel in quiet neighborhood

This was the only inexpensive hotel we could find in the Munich area for the start of Oktoberfest. The good thing was that there was a train stop within walking distance and our train ride to the Oktoberfest grounds which is in central Munich was less than 10 minutes. Keep in mind that if you have a vehicle they charge for parking. Breakfast was really good and they had an array of things to eat. Also, Orbitz did not charge me for my stay, I had to pay the hotel directly.

Reibubgsloser Checkin auch am Feiertag mit der Möglichkeiten diesen vorher online zu machen. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig aber neu renoviert mit ansprechender Einrichtungen, sehr bequeme Betten und einem sauberen Bad, einzig etwas staubig auf den Ablageflächen, dies könnte aber im Zusammenhang mit den Renovierungsarbeiten stehen. Sehr leckeres Frühstück bei einem prima Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr empfehlenswert zumindest für einen Kurzaufenthalt wie in unserem Fall.

Gerne wieder, schon wegen des kostenlosen Kaffees!

Ich war zum zweiten Mal im Seidl, aber zum ersten Mal, seit es ein Coffee Fellows Hotel ist. Das hat mich überrascht, da ich dies im gesamten Buchungsprozess nicht erkennen konnte. Umso erfreuter war ich als genussvoller Kaffeetrinker, dass es Kaffee (in 5 Variationen) praktisch den ganzen Tag kostenlos am Automaten neben der Rezeption gibt. Dazu ab dem Nachmittag Zitronenwasser und leckere Kekse und vegane Weingummies. Tolle Sache! Es kann so einfach sein, Kunden (wie mich) zufrieden zu stellen.

Überrascht war ich auch, dass man erstens doch noch immer einen \"Meldezettel\" ausfüllen muss (sollte das nicht ab 2025 wegfallen??) und dass dies zweitens vor Ort auch ohne das Scannen des Ausweisdokuments ging (was online erforderlich gewesen wäre). Komisch.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Check-in ging reibungslos vonstatten und das Zimmer war am Ende des Flures ruhig gelegen wie gewünscht.
Die Internetverbindung war immer stabil, der Fernseher hatte jedoch zeitweise äußerst und programmunabhängig schlechten Empfang.

Das Bett war bequem, der Schreibtisch groß genug um mit Laptop zu arbeiten und zwei kostenlose Wasserflaschen haben mich gefreut. Ein großer Tresor ist auch vorhanden und das Badezimmer war recht sauber und ordentlich.
Warum allerdings das Zimmer nach der ersten von zwei Nächten nicht gereinigt wurde, ist mir nicht ersichtlich.

Ich komme in jedem Fall gerne wieder!

Hotel war gut. Leider werden auch hier die Preise gewürfelt, wenn eine Messe zugegen ist.
Zudem war die Tiefgarage überbucht. Sodass ich, trotz kostenpflichtiger Buchung und Bestätigung dieser, abends keinen freien Platz mehr vorfand. Eine Mitarbeiterin der Rezeption löste dann das Problem, aber insgesamt eher ärgerlich nach einem langen Tag.

Facilities don’t match publication

We booked this place because we explicitly looked for a place where we could charge our E-car so we could hit the road again early in the morning for our second leg of a big trip. Unfortunately the charger had been down for two weeks according to the staff, but it was not taken from their publication.
We stayed on the 4th floor which was recently renovated but the airconditioning (also in the publication) was only going to work some days later. It was a 30+ degree day making it hard to sleep without AC.
The staff was really nice but can’t conclude other than that we wouldn’t stay here again.

Fernbedienung TV leer (neue Batterien an der Rezeption geholt). Einzelbett war eine Ausziehcouch, leider sehr durchgelegen und quietscht. Minikühlschrank schmutzig, noch reste von den vorherigen Bewohnern drin. Keine Klimaanlage im Zimmer.

sehr gutes Frühstück
Bett war nicht zu weich

- leider wurde für die erste Nacht das zusätzliche Bett für die dritte Person nicht bezogen, wurde aber direkt am 2. Tag nachgeholt
- Badezimmer zu klein/eng und zu wenig Ablagefläche

Gutes Hotel, mit schönem Zimmer. Wir waren nur eine Nacht waren aber voll zufrieden. Sehr gutes Frühstück!
