Arrived at hotel and waited a while for reception then booked in and directed to room which was clean . In the morning realised only 1 towel in the room and no mat for shower this was corrected the next day following a word with reception. On day 2 no milk for tea or coffee.

Don't go to this hotel.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room smelt of drains and mould. There were 3 separate air freshners that hardly touched this. The bed sheet was so thin you could read a newspaper through it. You could feel the mattress spring. The shower was cold and there was noise from staff until 2.30 in the morning. The room had one tiny velux window.

Nice guy checked me in but went downhill when I arrived at my room. Horrible smell on entry to room. Tin of air freshener on the table tells me the staff are aware of this, but still let the room out to paying customers. Mould in shower enclosure. More water came out of the shower hose than the shower head. Corridor doors dont have door closers so are banging shut all night.
Won't be re-booking here again in the future.

Not safe for d/Deaf guests & rats in the walls.

The fire alarm went off during my stay & it has no lights to warn d/Deaf guests, a serious safety issue.
I needed a place to stay for a week and the photos on hotels.com looked nice so I booked here.
At first I thought \"it's cheap and a bit shabby but it'll do\", the longer I was there the worse it got.
The staff I spoke to during my stay were friendly and I think it's a case of owners/management siphoning off any money this place makes and not reinvesting it to actually look after the building.
My door's electric lock was broken & had the mechanism was exposed, the same with the door across from me. It had batteries & wiring exposed, not very safe if someone is staying with children.
My room didn't appear to have any damp issues but it was very dark even in the middle of the day.
The duvet had no cover, it was stained and torn, and there was the thinnest fitted sheet on top of a very lumpy mattress. The pillows also had thin covers and were very lumpy & uncomfortable.
The toilet and sink initially looked clean but had lots of 'baked on' grime that could be removed with a deep clean, and there was a gross brown lump in the sink pipe. The shower worked fine, but the hose for one of the heads was broken & in need of repair.
The walls are incredibly thin, I could hear conversations being had across the hall and the couple in the room next door having uh, special adult cuddles. Everybody slammed their doors at all hours of the night.

I request for a change in room as upon booking i didn't realised that this hotel has no lift. My mother has knee issues and have problem go up the stair. So we managed to change our room from second floor to first floor. First floor room is small for 3 persons and no windows. Very suffocating.
I also would like to give a warm compliment to Syamir who helped to bring pur luggage fown.
Thank you Syamir. You are a gem to this company.

Ok if your homeless worst hotel I’ve been to

When I checked in the man on the front desk was smoking a vape, horrible smell and unprofessional. The bed was rock solid not comfortable at all and now my back is in pain. Their is a picture on the wall of a lady felt like cameras watching you in her eyes. The bed sheets was stained and the room smelt of weed. The bathroom smelt of mould. Very unclean and furniture was manky. The shower hose what u hold did not work!!!!! And the circle one was not fully working properly. I went out side in the morning and the staff member was sleeping on the sofa instead of behind the desk. When I checked out their was not even a thank you from the staff they just took the card very rude and unprofessional.
Will never stay their again. I did not even complain my whole stay and to not even say thank you to your guests was very rude.

It was what you paid for! Cheap, small room but somewhere to stay. The staff member was accommodating and when I said that the room was cold, he brought in a heater. There was a strong weed smell in Reception but we did arrive late in the evening. The decor was a little shabby. Bathroom was clean.

The Worst Hotel I’ve Ever Stayed At.

Checked in and found my room had a metre squared hole in the ceiling above the bed sealed up with newspaper. When the lights went off, light visible through void so room didn’t even go dark.
En-suite toilet had an exposed soil pipe which stunk out the room.
No parking on the drive available as advertised.
The whole experience felt so disgusting that I checked out at 05:30AM so that I didn’t have to spend any longer than I had to there.
The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

I stayed at this hotel for no more than 10 minutes before checking out abs paying for another hotel. The welcome was cold by the receptionist, who had his friends hanging around playing cards. Wasn’t impressed with walking in and being stared at by them.

I walked into the room and was very disappointed. It really is a case of you get what you pay for! Broken lights, Dust everywhere, hand towels given as bath towels, shower was hardly a shower.

I’m 5’5...I banged my head on the low ceiling at least twice, so if you’re any taller, wear head gear!

Walked out, handed back my key and booked the Travelodge and had a much better experience!

The stuff was very kind and service minded.
The breakfast was served in the room which was a bit uncomfortable and felt a bit lucking, it was very simple.
The room itself was ok enough space and clean, the bathroom was freezing cold and no matter what we did it was freezing. Not so fun to sit on a freezing toilet sit. The shower kept clogging after we complained it was fixed but 2 days later (we were staying a whole week) it was clogged again and water brownish water will come out.
The room we got had no windows which was a bit disappointing because it felt like you live in a dungeon and the walls around us were paper thin, we could hear all the other rooms around us when they talked or went in and out specially at night it was uncomfortable.
All and all it was mediocre.

For what we needed for (two young girls barely there) it got the job done. However, the rooms need upgrading. The beds are not the most comfortable. The bathrooms need more cleaning, especially in the corners by the ceiling. The floors need upgrading as well. More room service with new sheets and everything. One of the cups I used had lipstick on it from someone else so it was not washed properly.

The rooms were in the basement with a very small window only. One room has its window (size: 2ft * 3ft) on the seiling. The other room has some mold in the sleeping room and a lot of mold in the bath. Further the climate doesn't work properly.

Positiv: Staff offered to change rooms on the next day, but it was to late as my wife was so dissapointed that we left the hotel after one night.

The staff at the Arinza hotel were very nice and accommodating. They helped us check in early when we asked to drop off our bags before check in time. The room was small but we expected that with the price we paid, they did have a sign offering upgrades for only 10 Pounds, but we decided the room we were in was nice enough since we didn't spend much time there. Their staff also did a great job of making sure the room was clean everyday. The only major turn off for us was that the shower definitely needed to be resealed or treated for mold. The location was great for us because it was within walking distance of the Ilford TFL station, and had amazing food on the main street.

The first room was on the first floor. Room is small and paper thin walls. Bathrooms have mildew and all night doors were slamming. Next day, they put us on the 2nd floor. Had to complain because the ac was not working. We had to own the window but then we were kept up for hours by people outside talking all the way to about 2am. You can also hear the other people in the rooms. You can even hear the persons on the incoming call. This hotel is basically a house that was divided into small rooms. It reminded me to a hostel. Could not honestly recommend this hotel to anyone. Also, the person at the front desk said that with Expedia you get the basic package and no breakfast. I have never seen a sink that small. I thought it was an urinal. Horrible stay. Front desk could not even provide a fan.

Stay away from twin room

I had booked the twin room only to find that the room was stinking from a musty uninhabited smell. When I look closer at the walls there was fresh mould on them. I refused to stay in the room as it was unacceptable. The staff agreed and tried to find me accommodation elsewhere locally. I’m still waiting on a full refund and if I don’t receive one this week I will be contacting Expedia customer services to find out why I haven’t been refunded.

The room was small and the bathroom door opening with the position of the bed was annoying. Our windows were located in the front parking lot, so people hung out to smoke and drink next to our room. The carpet was stained. The bedding appeared clean, but the duvet cover had come apart in multiple locations along the seam, and our mattress was not covered in a fitted sheet (a flat sheet was used). Our bedding was never changed and at one point they ran out of clean towels (they were suppose to receive a shipment of clean linen the next day). The bathroom itself appeared to be clean, but there was some underlying building issues and the shower was a problem (see pictures). The bathroom did not ventilate well, so the room always had moisture in it and the shower floor never completely drained and dried. I had to ask for a hair dryer, which took some time to locate. The tv channels went in and out of service and we had no WiFi for a day or so. The staff was nice, but we found the desk clerk laying on the couch every morning when we left the hotel.

Staying for 3 x nights working in Essex; my general view summary:” I stayed in much better maintained Hotels for less what I paid here”; reasons the state of the room, loose and cracked sockets that could be dangerous, Air conditioning control box coming of the wall, cracked tiles in the bathroom, the painter who painted the wall brushed the sockets and fittings on the wall; Bathroom Extractor fan is on all the time it was noisy I expected it to be controlled by the bathroom light switch like any other hotel I stayed in, the water system when someone next room use the toilet is very noisy; both disturbed my sleep, the bathroom light is very dim; no bathroom floor mat had to use the towel; lack of cleansing marks all over the stainless steel in the shower, and the shower drain broken and it was dangerously filling up the shower tray due to partially blocked drainage on top of all that the parking is a nightmare was blocked by another visitor who parked and blocked the way in told hotel attendance that the resident left the keys at the reception to move the care if needed very unusual will not choose this hotel again and wish these companies who advertise and promote this type of hotel on their website; to check before accepting them

This is a great little hotel, with good links to central London. Inside it is clean and the staff on the front desk were helpful. My only issue was that the room was cold, this was solved by having the air conditioning on, which wasn't ideal, due to the noise. But I didn't mind, as the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Let man into our room while we sleep.

Basic so expected basic. They gave someone else our room key and before 7 in morning a man came into our room and saw my wife in her underwear sleeping. I was on top of blankets as was she and the man stood looking at us. Ran out when my wife screamed. The hotel then said they gave him a key because we had the same first name.

The panel for the electronic key was broken.The glass panel on the back door, leading to the garden, was also broken. I am now considering another hotel when next visiting Ilford.

Stayed there only for a night. Room was really nice and comfy, just too small. It was clean and air conditioned, which was an advantage for the untypically hot London weather. Staff was helpful. Everything was as described.
The only disappointment was that we paid for king bed and we got double.

We stayed here five nights. The room & bed were small but comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, you could barely turn around in it. The shower didn't drain: it would overflow the stall and leak onto the floor every morning. The room was very stuffy: we had an open skylight, but no windows. There was an A/C unit, and after running that it was comfortable. However, twice the A/C unit leaked. The only thing under it was the TV so it didn't get into any of our stuff, but of course we had to then deal with the heat & the repair. This didn't inspire much confidence, given the first leak sprang the first night and the sign out front said \"FULLY AIR CONDITIONED.\" Though the rooms were close, we were never disturbed by other guests, though we sometimes heard the plumbing. One time I was in the hall and heard someone blaring music in their room a few doors down but in our room I couldn't hear it. The 123 and 179 buses run to & from the Gants Hill tube stop, which is the best way to get from here to London. If you need to do laundry the closest self-service place is Orchid Launderette, about a 10 minute walk up nearby Belgrave Street. One reason we chose the Arinza was it had parking. We didn't end up renting a car, but I'm skeptical we could have actually parked there: the lot was always full despite me asking a few times to make sure we'd have a spot. If we'd known we wouldn't actually need parking, we would have chosen someplace closer to London (it was about a 45 minute trip one way).

Quite an unusual Hotel. If you can call it a hotel. There's no bar, no food, no restaurant. Nice room though, nice staff and good neighborhood.
For me, it was fine as I was on business and only interested in a good night's sleep, which I got. If you're looking for a hotel where you intend to spend a lot of time during the day, this is not the one.
I went around the corner and found a most fantastic restaurant, it was Turkish, highly recommend the mixed kebab. I think it was called the Sultan.

Nothing like the pictures!!

We first entered the room and were suprised by how different it looked from the photos! And the stench...the room smelt old and mouldy. The room was tiny (although the bed was a nice size). The bathroom was clean(ish) but had mould in the tiles. The curtains didn't close properly and the view out of them was an old courtyard. The carpet felt damp and slightly sticky which probably added to the mould. Once I found a space for my car I didn't dare to move it (as there is only 4 slots). Had to ask for glasses and towels. Staff were plesent enough but was very disappointed by the room.

Toilet door lock gets stuck

Went to the hotel and got stuck in the toilet room for about 10minutes. Staff didn't seem surprised as if it happen befor. Receptionist came with a butter knife to let me out (ridiculous). i personally found this extremely dangerous as there was no windows and the room was so congested. The receptionist told me that it will take 10minutes for a handy man to come open it. If it wasn't for my self I would have to wait another 10minutes just to be let out. Ruined my whole stay! Handy man came half hour later Requesting to fix the door lock. We had to turn him away as this is extreme disturbance. But just showed that I would have had to wait 30minutes to be let out!

room was better than expected.

Our room was better than expected from what others wrote in the reviews I read. It was cleaned everyday, the wifi wad slow and weak but we was out most of the time so it wasn't a problem.the staff was lovely always there when you needed something, the bed was so comfortable best night sleep I've had in a while. Problem was the towel rack was half coming off but little things like that again wasn't a problem. The service for morning breakfast wad always on time, and the location was just right for us where we was going. It made it more easier for us to grab something quick to eat. Problem was of you got top foom like we did and you got cases was you had to carry them up the stairs. I would deffo come here again and recommend to others if your in London for a few days.

Value for money with quality of service

It was a week family trip to london. booked a junior suite,the hotel was very good and staff members were very polite and helpful. Breakfast served was good and room maintainance very clean and neat. Overall very good value for money and I will definately go back as the hotel is in a great location, close to all the shops,vegetarian restuarant Busstops and tube station.

Noisy nights stay

The receptionist was pleasant and welcoming. The room i was given which was clean however it had a smell of stale cigarette smoke and the TV remote did nit work. There was constant noise and doors banging throughout the night from other guests. The continental breakfast served in your room was an unusual mix of food!

The hotel was in a great location from the train station and the high street. The standard of the hotel and my room was Excellent. Friendly customer service and a large Superior Room with a comfy King Size Bed. I would definitely stay here again.

good pictures bad hotel

Unfortunately the pictures on the internet are very nice but different from reality..when I got to my room I was very disappointed... extra small room with a strange smell.No phones in the room so you had to go to reception every time you needed something.
very thin walls so you could hear everything in the other room...
would definitely not recommended it

The hotel was a perfect location being just off the M11 and a sub 10 minute walk to the station for trains to London. The parking was free which was a massive bonus. Reception staff freindly but we didn't have any need for any other services so can't comment further. Room was ok but I wouldn't rave about it. The bathroom was small but clean although some of the toitetries were 2nd hand! Tea and coffee supplies were topped up daily. Hairdryer worked but the switch was broken so you couldn't change the speed etc. I had a free night with the Hotels.com rewards scheme so it made this hotel nice and cheap for us but I'm not sure I'd be happy if I'd had to pay full price for both nights. It was functional. Thank you

Nice and comfortable Hitel.

I spent just a night there . I was warmly recieved by the receptionist..
The bed and pillows were just right for a nights rest.
There could be more improvement in the repairs in the bathroom such as toilet seats which were a bit wobbly and also the shower holder needed to be tightened. A few loose screws on the sockets needs re-screwing.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Good and bad experience.

The guy at the front desk was really great in that he let us check in a few hours early but the room wasn't the cleanest. I enjoyed the stay the room was nice the bathroom was nice but there were little ants on the floor that were quite off putting. The hotel was in a smaller area with a lots close for your basic needs which was great.

How do they have so many awesome reviews?

Booked because of good reviews and it's location to the train station. Location was good, but the experience wasn't great. The staff didn't acknowledge when entering or leaving building and then they smoked underneath the window so we couldn't get fresh air for very long. Bed was uncomfortable but at least the room appeared clean. Wouldn't stay again.

Staff were nice,hotel was fairly smart and clean,but be warned the walls are wafer thin and the noise caused by the other guest was horrendous so much so that I got around two hours sleep.
