Man at reception was really helpful. Helped carry out bags from car to our room and showed us in. Don't really have anything negative to say about the room. We got it real cheap and it was OK for what we paid. It was just to sleep, after a London concert and saved me driving home. Did the job. Nothing luxury but good

This spacious twin room offered a comfortable night’s sleep, though the corridor noise from people moving around all night was a bit disruptive. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing excellent customer service. I felt welcomed and cared for and would definitely stay again.

After checking in i went to the room only to see that the room was already taken. The next room them give me was filthy dirty looked like someone had been sick in the sick and they didn’t clean it up properly: there was hair in the tub and paper on the floor. They offered me a free breakfast reception told me I could get the breakfast Togo. The last serving breakfast didn’t speak any English, so she got someone else who then told me I can not get it to go. Seems like none of the staff know what they are doing. Biggest negative is the bathroom - it was a tiny narrow sink with a glass shelf directly above it. This made it really challenging to get your head above the sink it brush your teeth or wash your face. It would be far better to move the shelf to the side instead. The cleaning staff didn’t replenish the tea making facilities so there was nowhere near enough sugar or milk.

Negatives: Couple of the lights weren't working and the walls were thin so could hear noise from other guests. Parking was very limited but as mentioned, staff were very helpful - make sure you ask for advice at reception before paying for anything on Ringo!

I would give this hotel a passing grade. The location is convenient — only a 3-minute walk to Ilford Station — and the front desk staff are very friendly.
However, the building is quite old, and noise travels a lot. You can clearly hear footsteps from the hallway and the room above, so if you’re a light sleeper, this might not be ideal.
Housekeeping was also disappointing. They didn’t provide shampoo or soap, even after informing reception, and the bedding wasn’t changed for days — just folded. Garbage was removed, but that was about it.
Overall, the stay was okay, but if you can find another hotel in the area for a similar price, I would recommend choosing that instead.

I booked through Expedia and selected the pay at the hotel option, as I planned to use a company credit card for payment while working in the area. Within 30 minutes of booking, I noticed a pending charge of £53.10 on my account. Nearly two hours later, another pending charge for the same amount appeared — as I had booked two rooms.
I contacted the hotel immediately and was assured the pending payments would be released on the day I checked out. On arrival, I was told the same thing again.
Things went downhill quickly from there.
•The first room key I was given led to a room still being cleaned.
•The second key was for a room that already had someone else’s belongings in it.
•The third and final room was so small that a double bed had clearly been crammed into what used to be a single room — the TV was even fixed to a wall facing away from the bed!
To make matters worse, many of the residents appeared to be long-term lodgers. The noise was unbearable: shouting, arguing, and even someone screaming down the phone to the DWP about their money. This went on until around 1 a.m., only stopping when they either passed out or finally fell asleep.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, the toilet macerator kept switching on randomly throughout the night, making it impossible to rest properly.

The Best Western at Ilford was a great hub and so close to The Elizabeth Line.
There were some great local amenities close by too.
The Hotel itself is run down furniture wise in the bedroom we had but I could not fault the cleanliness of the room.
It’s a shame no hairdryer was provided or low lighting by way of lamps as our room was described as an executive suite and it was a little cold and damp to start with but did get toasty warm in the end ☺️

3 Nights at Ilford
Excellent place not far from the main public transport system, Ilford train station about 10minute walk away. The hotel is very clean, the location is quiet and fairly calm with shops around. The staffs were excellent, friendly, supportive and responsive. My room was small, the shower \"cabin /cubicle \" quite uncomfortable if you are a larger person you would struggle to bend to rub your feet, some disturbances from neighbours rooms with their alarms going off and easily audible... Tv has no Netflix (did not find one, i may be wrong on this). Room may need a small fridge in for short term preservation of fridge items if on longer stay. Overall, a great place to stay, and I highly recommend it.

Even though I had paid in full and all hotel details were on my phone, staff needed ID, which I didn't have. Humiliating and degrading. The single room was a walk away in a different building from the hotel. The room was so small it could only fit a very small wardrobe and single bed. There was no duvet/sheets/blankets, so I slept with the heating on full, in the clothes I'd worn all day. I was exhausted from my trip and the earlier incident, it was pouring with rain and I didn't have the energy to walk back to the hotel to get bedding. This was a cheap hotel but I can't even say 'you get what you pay for' because it was missing the basics. When booking, this was the only hotel with availability in the area, for the date needed. On the whole, the staff were friendly but unfortunately this didn't make up for the 'experience'

My flight had delayed many hours, my friend whom i was meeting me there got there before me. They would not let her in the room, she had to sit in the waiting area until i got there almost 5 pm in the evening.she got there before 11am. I know that there checking in time is 2pm. Even after that they refused to let her in. when i got there they demanded a debit card for payment of one hundred pounds deposit. I didn't have a debit card i offered to pay the deposit with my credit card they refused. I try paying them 100 pounds in cash they refused it. The manager their was very mean and yelled at the staff when she try talking to him about the matter concerning my paying this deposit that they were requesting. The manager was only willing to accept my credit card payment after i had called Expedia concerning this matter. only after Expedia had to call the Best Western then and only then he spoke to me directly about the possibility of me having to pay with my credit card. I would never stay there again neither would i recommend it to anyone. I chose the place because it was close to the event i was attending. I truly regret booking and staying at that hotel. NEVER AGAIN WOULD I EVEN LOOK AT A BEST WESTERN HOTEL TO STAY WHEN I AM TRAVELING.

I stayed in room 27 for the first two days then moved to room 24. I told the reception staff that there was a insect infestation problem in the shower unit of room 27 on 5/10/22 before I left for the day. When I returned I was told the unit had been sprayed and the electrical socket which was not working had also been repaired. I again reported there were insects in the shower and a receptionist took a not very clear video of the creature. For my last night at the hotel I was in room 24 there was no issue with that room that I found.

Checked in, reception area dirty, my room was in seperate building across the road. When i found my room (At basement level) there was barely any natyral daylight, it was terribly dates, and my neighbours were smoking weed with their door open. I reported this to the hotel and told them.i wakted to check out, i had checked in 5 minutes earlier. They offered me another room but i dodnt feel.comfortable staying. The room wasnt used at all. They refused a refund! Stating as i had checked in they dodnt have to refund me. Shambolic, horrible area, dirty. Do not stay!!!

I am totally disappointed with the service given in this place. Its the worst I have ever received. Paid over £110 arrived at 9pm for 1 night stay and was told if I don't pay a deposit I can't stay. Room was so small they told me that's all the have. I challenged it and said thats not what I paid for. The change it to another and I just got fed up can't be asked . Next day can u do my refund. It will come in 3 days. Till now my refund is not back. Its pending on my credit card as they won't claim it nor refund it. Its a total shamble never again. I want a refund back and my deposit back

Bit shocked to have a £50 damage deposit held not sure I saw that in the small print. Room ok, too many light bulbs and being ground floor a limiter on the window would have been good so we could sleep with the windows open. Our room was next to the main entrance and other guest let the door slam, not really the hotels fault but maybe a soft close door would be better or ban inconsiderate guests. Overall for the price it was ok, staff were lovely.

Location is great, three minutes from the station.The room was clean and tidy though a little cramped for a family room. The location of the room however was awful. It was in the annex on the ground floor right next to the entrance door, therefore whenever anybody entered or left you could hear everything, footsteps, cases being pulled, conversation, and people stood outside the door smoking at all hours the night. It's quite amazing how inconsiderate people can be.
The breakfast room was quite small and couldn't cope with many people at one time. Full english breakfast was without bacon for the duration. Trying to get your breakfast was awkward due to being a very small space, one at a time.

Upon arrival I was told they did not have a room for me. I was sent to another location ( serviced apt) the location was terrible and took me 30 minutes to find somewhere to park. When entering the room I was allocated it was very warm and the patio door was open when inspecting the outside I discovered it was a shared area with everyone else! Anyone could have got into my room before my arrival. I felt extremely unsafe. There was no other way of cooling the room. The room itself was substandard. Ripped curtains, stains on surfaces and broken furniture. I left immediately and informed the receptionist of my findings and feelings. I was unable to make contact with any staff members from the best western being told there was no one with authorisation to help me. When I call the next day (2 night booking) to ask if my second night would be the same they said yes and I would yet again be sent to another location. As this was totally unacceptable I requested a refund and was again told this could not be authorised as there was not a manager to do so.

I secured a \"Superior\" room at Best Western Ilford through Expedia. When my wife and I arrived in the evening, the front desk clerk seemed to have a hard time finding my booking. She then said she needed to take an additional £50 \"cleanliness\" deposit on the card through which the room was booked. I stepped out to get my wife and bags from the car, and when we returned to the desk, the clerk says \"there is a maintenance problem with your room\" and then she sends us across the street to The Lucky Eight hotel \"with whom we have made an arrangement\", but which is very sketchy looking. The room was tiny (barely a foot on either side of the less-than-double-width bed) and it was dirty, smelled very musty with peeling paint and marks on the walls and a soiled box spring mattress. The bathroom smelled of mould, and I had to go and request a second towel, even though it was supposedly a double room. The pillows were flat and hard, which just added to the charm of the undersized bed for the two of us. There was a single small window, which looked out on a roof which was covered in rubbish and cigarette butts. Overall, I would have preferred to have been back in a military tent on the edge of the airfield in Qatar during the war than in this scuzzy flea trap. Absolutely my worst experience with Expedia and Best Western. I will never voluntarily stay in a Best Western hotel again - ever - and I will happily dissuade any friends and family from doing the same.

Do not book this place... Not sure what this place is but lots of people hanging around, I'm not racist in any way but lots of Eastern European men hanging around. My three day day was spoiled completely by a Friday night of people shouting, fighting and making loads of noise from 11pm until 6.30am, no sleep on last night, room smelt of smoke when I checked in. As a person who travels and writes reviews from 5 star to basic hotels, this is one of the worst I have stayed at.

Absolutely terrible! I was told to go accross the road to a different hotel which was not what I had not booked called Lucky 8. More like unlucky 8. There was no one at reception for 20 minutes finally he returned and when I said I had been waiting 20 minutes he told me I was lieing! There were empty shampoo bottles in the shower and the blinds were covered in mould. Avoid.

Generally great and fantastic value for money. I had a kettle that didnt work and a toilet seat that was a little broken. However the staff were great and brought me som hot water for tea and added the seat to the repair log.

I enjoyed my 8 days stay with budgeted price .. Best property for the price and it’s very clean and well maintained. Room space is very compact else it’s Maintenence are good, it has luggage storage, safety lock, attached bath, beverage, clean toilet and very hygienic space with clean staff, breakfast serve red with extra , located in the city center and near Dfl trains station which is more convenient for transport, very safe and clean hotel... front desk staff Mrs.Andrea was excellent manager who understands customer needs and provided me room shifting .. very friendly team Work, my priority list in London stay for east .. I recommend everyone to experience it. Needs the room front doors should be sound proof to avoid any disturbances from hallway ..
