Horrible not smoke free room

First off no ac. They say it is a smoke free hotel yet a bunch of people were smoking on the balcony. Since there isn't a. We had to open the windows. Our whole room smell of cigarettes. I couldn't sleep since I ise a CPAP and if forces all that smoke into my face. I tried to get management but they said call the police.

Nice hotel. Very comfortable beds and room had a balcony. Pizza bar behind of the hotel.

However, I took a taxi and it cost $50 one way from airport. Farther than I thought. I am not sure if there was a shuttle bus to airport. That would have saved me $100. Breakfast is overpriced. I ate at McDs at airport.

Last min Oktoberfest stay

There for Oktoberfest, last min stay and found this gem that was little out from the city but a train stop right in front of the hotel. No exchanges required direct to the festival. Everybody was very nice and helpful with accommodation.

The hotel is located conveniently right next to the S-Bahn stop.

Decent room size, self-catering area. We stayed on street level with doors conveniently opening up to the street. Good value for money.
The best thing was I booked the wrong Azimut (Munich) and the reservations manager very kindly refunded me and transferred me to Azimut Erding. I really appreciated that customer service.

Simple hotel, bit old fashioned. Breakfast is adequate, but not special. Employees polite. We paid over 200€ for one room, caused by a fair in Munich, which was too much for such a hotel. A price of about € 70 should be more in line with what you get.

Useful alternative for airport hotels

Nice hotel, with very reasonable price. One small point to be aware of is that check in after 11.00pm is not possible unless you telephone before hand to arrange to collect key from a box. Overall good.

Pros: Friendly staff. Room is spacious & with fridge, kettle & microwave (we stayed in a superior room).

Cons: Right between a rail track & a busy road. Trains going 5am to after 1am which drove us crazy. You only get 600mb free WIFI per 24 hours. It's probably just about enough for one light internet user. I think he 'free WIFI' being advertised is misleading borderline lying.

The hotel itself is a little dated and slightly rough around the edges, generally though it's clean, the beds are comfy, I have stayed several times and always sleep well.
You'll need to arrive early if you want to park, this trip I had to park 5 mins away and walk back !
Also there are no elevators so if you have heavy bags you don't want to be on the first or second floor !

Nice hotel right near the S Bahn.

Stayed 2 nights, beginning and end of a two week trip. First night was second floor and there's no elevator. The room was at the rear and if you like to sleep with the window open, you better like trains screaming by all night. The ceiling was vaulted and angled and intruded on the wall side of the bed.

The second night there we asked for and got a ground floor room. Much more roomy, and because it was in front, you couldn't hear the trains.

I would stay here again if visiting Munich. We normally stay in Trudering. So if you like to be out of the City a bit, but close to the S Bahn to get there, this is a prime location.

We were happy with the kitchenette in our room. The first day housekeeping cleaned the dishes we used. The remaining three days I had to clean them with hand soap from the bathroom and a hand towel. I would suggest that the hotel provide dish clothes/towels and soap for the kitchenette if housekeeping isn't going to clean the dishes. Otherwise, the room was great.

Rough End to our Europe Trip

We chose this hotel for a 1 night stay due to an extended layover. We were exhausted and it was after 11 when we arrived. The guy in shift initially stayed we purchased 1 bed standard room but it we reserved a room
With 2 twin beds. We also had 2 other friends with us that we mistakenly forgot to add to the room. The receptionist became angry stating we needed to purchase another room and they had no roll away beds. He charged us an extra 60 euros and gave use 2 roll away beds. The hotel smelled like smoke (I am not sure if they are allowed to smoke in the hotels there). Then he did not properly work the card machine, in which it seem like our cards declined (all 3) after we had used them throughout our 10 day Europe trip. The next day At checkout the lady greeted us and the card machine worked by pressing the OK button. The worker from the previous night did not make us feel welcomed or appreciated at all, we wanted to explore Germany the next day but we were disguised by thier service.

Room OK but not many late night facilities at hotel. Helpful reception staff because car park is not sufficient for hotel - don't use underground car park even though it looks as though you could, you will not be able to reverse out! Parking available at nearby S-Bahn station. No shops but a couple of restaurants nearby. Ideal for a short stay before using Munich Airport.

WORST HOTEL I EVER STAYED AT!!!

The WORST hotel I have stayed in my entire life!! I had made a paid reservation a week in advance, and this hotel overbooked and gave my room to someone else! They then put me in a taxi for a half hour trip to one of it's other branches, and assured me that there would be a shuttle to the Munich airport. At the other hotel I was told they did not provide a shuttle, and now I had to pay over a $100 taxi fee to return to the airport!!! The hotel staff where very accustomed to lying to hotel guests as this was a frequent practice!! At each hotel I was offered a \"free\" beer for my inconvenience! These people are complete jerks and will make your vacation a very unpleasant one!

No value for the money

Breakfast: TOO POOR - total absense of warm meals like fried / scrambled eggs sausages and the like.
Breakfast hall: Immediately under the roof - with th exception of a corridor you cannot really stand up.
Beds: Horrible mattresses - you do not really rest.
Bathroom: A permanent stench from the toilet bowl.
NO ELEVATOR!!!!!!
2nd floor rooms: Under the slope of the roof. You need to be an acrobat to access the window an draw the drapes.
2nd floor room: Very unstable wifi connection - impossible to access corporate e-mail accounts etc.
Location: In the middle of nowhere; only advantage the proximity to S-bahn station.
ONLY GOOD IMPRESSION: Very polite and helpful reception personnel.

Ok hotel but wouldn't ever stay at an Azimut again

Shabby from the outside and whilst round the corner from the train station, to go anywhere else you will need a car or taxi as there isn't anything else around. The one restaurant across the road gave great Bavarian food but no other choices.
Actual room was clean and tidy, had a fridge (which was very loud) and a mini kitchen area. Great except no kettle and no tea/coffee facilities. First hotel I've ever stayed in with no hot drink making facilities provided! There is no bar so you can't even go and buy one and the breakfast was way too expensive to pay all that just for a hot drink so we had breakfast in Munich every day instead.
TV is tiny and reminds you that the hotel hasn't been updated for some time.
Annoyingly in our room there was a main light switch above your head where you sleep and as there was no headboard I kept waking us both up by accidentally touching it with my head in the night...This alone was ridiculous, I can't believe it's a working switch! Staff were helpful but not particularly inviting. Free wifi is advertised but you can only access it if you stand right at the front desk and nowhere near your rooms. Based on this hotel I would never again book an Azimut.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast options. Clean. Literally right next to train station which leaves every 20 minute or so to Munich Central. Despite that, I didn't notice the noise when the windows were closed. Only negative is unreliable Wifi. You can purchase high speed wifi however.

Strong smoke smell at the entry of hotel. Toilet had stain. Our room was in the attic with ceiling beams so you have to stoop down to get in the bed or you will hit your head. Very poor internet. Provides fridge, plates, cups but no coffee pot. Too far from Munich.

Great hotel near train

Hotel Azimut is literally steps away from the train to Munich or Erding. It is clean and our room was very large and comfortable. There was a lot of road noise, but very quiet with the windows closed. I didn't give it an excellent rating because there is no elevator and the WIFI was out over night and slow when working. We used the free wifi in the lobby. Everyone was very helpful.

The room was very spacy for the price and also very clean, which was really impressive. However, my room facing the street had no windows/doors to open, thus very stuffy and somewhat uncomfortable. There were two major problems that can be fixed: (1) The parking space was so limited that I had a great difficulty to get out early in the morning due to a car parked at the entrance of the lot (illegal); (2) The internet connection in the lobby was too slow to do any work.

The Azimut is a budget hotel located right at an S-Bahn station for convenient access to Munich. I would compare the room to a college dorm. For a reasonable price you get a clean room, with a comfortable bed, a small kitchen, in a location convenient to transport, and attentive staff. This is clearly not a luxury hotel, but you get what you are paying for. Some of the compromises include an old 13 inch tube television with only several channels,and only one english channel (BBC). The television sat on a small desk which did not leave much room for using it for any other purpose such as using a laptop or having a snack or coffee. The hotel offers in room wifi for a fee, but you can get free access in the hotel waiting lounge. However, reception was consistently weak throughout my stay. The hotel also offers a continental breakfast for 10 Euro per day and it was satisfactory, but below what you get at a neighboring hotel such as the Best Western down the road. One other note I should mention, the hotel is within walking distance of a shopping area which includes two supermarkets which is a plus. I would recommend this hotel if you want the lowest price in the area and are willing to compromise on amenities.

Don't be fooled by Expedia's room description

Had downstairs room right on traffic lights and worried about noise but with windows shut, double glazing effective and curtains essential for privacy, but no shutters. However, no kitchenette, just sink, microwave and a few bits of crockery and fortunately a fridge. We envisaged a hotplate and a few pans. There was no kettle or refreshment facilities. Staff eventually found last kettle on the premises and fortunately we had our own coffee & tea and milk. Due to fear of noise we asked to see another room and this didn't have microwave nor settee as in other room. Shower is within bath and needed a repair before it worked. Overall a disappointing final night before driving to Munich Airport to return home. Not impressed and pricey for what we had compared to the holiday homes we had during our holiday.

this hotel is clean, quiet and warm, but has no elevator, so heavy luggage goes in your hands to the 2nd and 3rd floors. also, internet is so slow that would not open emails, only inbox, and wifi is not free. no cafe or restaurant inside, and no concierge at night. Great shuttle service, would not recommend taking a bus from airport.

Worst experience with staff EVER!

OMG, DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!

The staff treated me so bad, that I almost called the police. They tried to charge me extra saying that I brought over people over. First of all, I am a honest man in a long-term relationship and I found that very offensive!

Second, they threatened me saying there was video footage (big lie). But thankfully they did that, because I knew there was none, since I did not bring anyone, so then I raised my voice and said I would call the police if necessary.

The hotel is SO distant from Munich. Although it is next to a train station, it takes forever (over 1 hour) to get to MarienPlatz or other downtown areas.

Long story short, do NOT stay there!

Put off as I arrived -- shuttle not free

Hotel shuttle was > 20 minutes late, requiring me to take a taxi. Upon arrival, forced me to pay for shuttle anyhow. Shuttle is not good value 25euro vs. 31 euro taxi each way, so suggest not reserving one. Unable to take incoming phone calls -- front desk says phones are not working. Hotel not recommended.

Lots of space and free parking, but no frills

Hotel isn't located within walking distance of anything exciting, but is literally across the street from a train station. Take the train two stops in one direction and you are in downtown Erding, which is a very nice place to grab dinner at one of many traditional restaurants or some beers at the Erdinger Brewery. Taking the train the opposite direction will bring you to downtown Munich.

Rooms are quite large, but are no frills. Many rooms are on the ground level and have huge windows, so you have to completely draw the blinds if you want privacy from pedestrians walking down the street.

The staff was helpful, but the front desk is unstaffed at night time.

Overall its a good bet if you are willing to sacrifice location and amenities to save some money and still have all that Munich and Erding have to offer easily accessable by train.

Hotel and Reception staff are fine but the Housekeeping staff are still a disaster.They didn;t clean my room for the first 3 nights and when they eventually did they didn'/t change the towels.I asked reception to ask them to close the curtains during the day as the room was very hot,but they didn't

The hotel is not too far from erding therme. The rooms are clean and pretty nice. This is not a luxury hotel but the price-quality ratio is high: you get good value for what you pay. The hotel is also 15 min away from the airport which is another advantage

The rooms are small and advertise kitchen in room. There was no way to cook, small refrigerator, no stove, no hot water pot,no microwave. We were able to wash a load of clothes. Dryer not working. Parking lot was full on our return for the day (very small lot) and we had to pay to park in the underground garage for a fee or park blocks away at the train station.

Hotel is located in a more industrial setting in Aufhausen. The rooms are clean and mine included a small kitchenette (sink, dishes, microwave, small refrigerator), which is good as there are few restaurants in the immediate area. The breakfast was reasonable and had a good selection. Finally, the hotel is a short 4 minute walk from the S-bahn station which allowed easy access to Munich.

The hotel doesn’t advertise that you have to call ahead to schedule a shuttle bus, therefore I end up in the night looking for the buss to come to pick me up. I was a night mare finding out that no buss is coming. I took a taxi that cost me 32 euro. When I call for the airport nobody at the hotel lobby answered. I called few times. When I ask the receptionist how come she did not answer she showed me the phone that is working. I expected a phone call and she give a wrong room number to the person who I was expecting to be called by. That person left messages with the receptionist who I did not received.

In the morning when I talked to the manager she apologies but nothing was done. I was told the shuttle bus by the night receptionist is 12 euro, but in the morning I was informed it cost me 25 euro. At this point I thought why I need a shuttle bus frizzing in the night waiting for one when I could take the taxi on the first place.

I won’t recommend this hotel because is to far away from the airport. The stuff are not friendly, and it cost me too much on the transportation. At this cost I could get the hotel beside the airport where I could walk and still safe money. Cheaper rooms are not necessarily cheap when you make the math at the end. Better get a room closer safe money and stress.

Wonderful Service-OK Hotel location.

The front desk staff were WONDERFUL. We needed help opening our room, doing our laundry, everything. They were so patient and nice. The location is too far outside Munich and the shuttle to the airport was another $25 euros, so I would not recommend for an airport hotel stay, but the staff was so GREAT we had to rate higher!!

This is a budget hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed, spacious room, but needs decorating. A short distance from Therme Erding, right on Aufhausen railway (SBahn) station, so handy from Munich City centre.
The breakfast is a basic continental (9 euros each).
If coming by air, try to book a transfer - 25 euros, better than 35 Euros for a taxi.
Nice little touch to the room - has a very small balcony you can walk out onto.
One of the downsides to the room was that the radiator was broken and even though we'd turned it off, it was still switced on full blast.
Was nice having the amenities of a microwave and a fridge, however you had to ask for a kettle.
No hairdryers in the room and you have to pay 20 euros as a deposit to have one. This is a basic for any hotel room!

This hotel is very conveniently located by the metro station, it only takes 30 min or so to arrive to Marienplaz. The building is quaint, clean, has local flavor and the staff is extremely coourteous and helpful. Moreover the town of Erding is a destination in itself, very charming, a lot of churches and good restaurants. We were very pleased with our selection of this hotel, the natural landscape surrounding it is also a plus. The song of the birds early in the morning is so bucolic.

I had to pay 31 Euros for a taxi to the airport. The desk clerk informed me that shuttle reservations needed to be made days ahead of time. The road noisy is loud at this hotel. Not recommended.

EuroHotel Erding is Fantastic

This is a wonderful, tidy little hotel near the Munich airport. Train into downtown Munich has a station right behind hotel. Hotel is a 2 minute drive to Therme Erding which is the best spa in all of Germany.

SUPER CONVENIENT LOCATION, HELPFUL STAFF

Easy access to Munich Franz Josef Airport by bus & S-Bahn. 35-45 minute S-Bahn to Munich. Super Market and other stores less than 5 minute walk. Hotel beside train track, but no bother. These are short, electric trains running on ribbon rail, not 100 car freight trains running on short track sections. Close to Therme Erding for the best SPA in Europe! We will be back. The perfect hotel for Therme Erding

If you are going to Therme Erding, you will not find a more convenient hotel. This hotel is right up the street, extremely convenient, priced well, and the staff is great.

The hotel situated in a central crossroad so the ground level rooms are very noisy early in the morning.Not so clean for a German hotel and anywhere smells smoke of cigars. Anyway it s cheap for that region,and it is next to the S-bahn station.By the way,the rooms in the back are in front of the rails!(3 train/hour to munchen and back.)

In the middle of nowhere

This hotel was listed as being close to the Munich Airport. It's not. We had to pay for a private shuttle called by the hotel--25 Euros--and the driver dropped us at the wrong terminal after being told twice which airline we were flying. The hotel is in a very small remote suburb of Munich. There was only one restaurant within walking distance, and it was closed. We took the train into Erding, two stops, and ate at the Erdinger Bräuhaus. This hotel is NOT convenient.

Great hotel but far from Munich

This hotel was very clean, comfortable, had free wi-fi in your room, was great on a lot of levels. The ONLY problem with this hotel is location. Although it is located literally 2 minutes walking from the train station, the train ride to central Munich (where all the fun/sites are) is a good 45 minutes. AND, the train only comes about once an hour to and from the station. So, you have to make sure you plan accordingly or you will be waiting an hour. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the distance of the hotel wasn't too much of a damper on our trip, but it was an inconvenience and had we known that, we definitely would not have stayed there. It sort of seems like it's in the middle of nowhere also, with not much around. If you don't mind the traveling in and out of the city, or being secluded, then this is a great hotel for you. Very clean and nice and the staff are helpful.

Bad Beds, Bfast not included-- otherwise great

eds are a 2 inch foam mattress-- you feel the slats on every turn. Sad, because this wonderfully clean, friendly hotel is in a great location--- 1 minute to the S-bahn. Cute Bavarian dining across the street. Shopping within walkng distance.
Breakfast was not included and not worth the 9 euro upcharge, but a kitchenette in the room and a 2 minute walk to the supermark make it un needed.

Only real gripe is the TERRIBLE mattress.

Das Zimmer war inordnung, man sollte nur mal darüber nachdenken, das ein Dachzimmer mit einer kompletten Festerfront ,sich so aufheitz das man es nicht aushalten kann. Eine Klimaanlage ist hier Pflicht. Die Spülung der Toilette war kaputt,und das nicht nur erst seit heute sondern schon länger, das hat nachts genervt.

Zimmer und Bad haben seltsam gerochen und ging mit Lüften auch nicht raus.
Bahnlinie direkt am Hotel. Keine Möglichkeit die Fenster zu öffnen.
Einrichtung eher veraltet und in die Jahre gekommen, keinesfalls modern.
Top war der Kühlschrank und Mikrowelle auf dem Zimmer. Besteck und Geschirr hatte man sich an der Rezeption leihen müssen.
Betten waren sauber und nicht durchgelegen.

Ich bin etwas geräusch empfindlicher und da das Gebäude an Bahnschienen gebaut ist war es für mich etwas zu laut. Aber man konnte gut schlafen und das Frühstück war sehr gut!

Ich war zum zweiten Mal in dem Hotel und würde es leider nicht mehr buchen wollen, da der Zustand der Zimmer ziemlich herunter gekommen ist (zumindest was unser Zimmer anging) und ich durch den Zug, der jede halbe Stunde vorbei gerast ist, aufgewacht bin.
