Room felt like a hostile and bed was very uncomfortable meals were expensive and really gross, and staff did not offer good service. The parking garage was awful and leaving the garage required some odd token to get at the front desk. They never told me about this and I almost missed my flight early morning figuring it all out. Spend whatever extra money it is to stay at the Hilton in the airport.

This was a great airport hotel, just what we needed for our last night in Munich. Not a lot of dining options close by, although there is a very good Italian restaurant just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Breakfast offered at hotel for 19Euro, also Macdonald’s just around the corner. Reliable shuttle service(for a fee).

BW in Altenerding - Oktoberfest stay

Carpet in hallways is well worn. Rooms are very nice. Bar was not open on one night(a Thursday as I recall) and not sure why. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Access to S-bahn was about at 12 min walk so very easy.

Bedbugs! I found a bedbug just before going to bed. I showed it to the night manager (in a tissue) and asked for a different room. They didn't have another and since it was nearly midnight I was forced to stay, tucked into the sack of the duvet to keep from being bitten. After a very disturbed night, I requested a refund from the manager. He refused, was in complete denial that they could possibly have bedbugs, insisted it was a spider (it CLEARLY was a bedbug and I have the photos to prove it and will post them - it wasn't even articulated like a spider, it was a bedbug) and then accused me of trying to blackmail him! So I'm sure based on that attitude that they have done nothing to address their bedbug problem. And otherwise, the hotel is in a dumpy industrial neighborhood with nothing around. So, you can decide whether this is your kind of place.

Our family stayed overnight before the flight. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We came in very late and our Hotels.com reservation was not showing up. The receptionist was calm and took his time to help us. Thank you for hosting us here.

We stayed in Erding for a night after arriving to Munich and heading to Salzburg next day. We had a great spacious room for 3 adults and 2 kids. The area around felt very safe, we walked to the burger place nearby for dinner and walked back. The only thing I regret is not doing enough research about the area to know that there are terme in Erding!

Do not stay here. This was an awful decision for a one night stay in Munich when I had a layover.
I called that day prior to arrival to make sure the restaurant was open. I was told it was until 10 PM. I also called and asked about transportation to the hotel from the airport and I was told I was too late because the shuttle need to be booked 24 hours in advance. The person on the phone was extremely rude and laughed at me while on the phone call. I was traveling with my husband and my 82-year-old father with Alzheimer’s disease. When we arrived to check in, I was told the restaurant was closed and had been closed for the last month. I was also told in order to take a shuttle. I did not need a reservation 24 hours prior. At this point I was irate! I asked to speak to the manager and explained there were huge huge mistakes in communication on their part. The only thing he said he could do for me was to provide a shuttle to the airport the next day.
This hotel is a 20 minute drive from the airport. The cab to get there cost me over €80. I also asked on the phone how much the cab cost would be and I receive no answer. I was told that is not their job.
So so disappointed and can’t believe the best western name is on this place.
Oh also, I forgot to mention the extremely uncomfortable, hard beds and the scratchy old sheets.

Fab hotel near the Therma Spa

We were visiting as a group of 8 (2 families with teens) and had 2 family rooms booked. We booked this hotel to be near the Therma Spa and it was perfect for that, we walked there and was a really easy walk. The hotel
Restaurant was closed on the day we were there but we were recommended a lovely Italian which was about a 3 min walk from the hotel and was really nice. There is also a Lidl and McDonald’s within a few minutes walk. This hotel does say it’s an Airport hotel, but we found this quite a way from the airport but I guess it depends how far you consider to be close to the airport. We travelled onto Salzburg by train and walked to the station, again an easy 15/20 walk. Overall a fab stay with super comfy rooms

Comfortable night.

Overnight stay. Room was well presented and looked quite new. Very comfortable bed and slept really well. Requested an extra pillow and was delivered quickly. Great shower in the en-suite and the room had a fridge and coffee making facilities.
We had breakfast and it was a good choice. Hot and cold food including a made to order omelette bar.
Don’t be put off by the 1970s concrete outside - it’s a comfortable hotel and upgraded inside. Would stay again.

Secure parking underground was an added bonus. You can park on the street for free or in the car park for 8€ a night.

Decent hotel, charges for everything, shuttle service, breakfast, parking and scheduling for certain amenities, when travel time hinders it, so you don't enjoy the amenity. Ex., steam room. Close drive to the airport and the town of Erding is nice. A wonderful Gasthaus, serving original Bavarian cuisine is nearby, Gasthaus Wirtshaus Kreuzeder. Cash only!

The hotel overall is very nice. Comfortable beds and very clean. We were however confused as to why this is called airport hotel when it’s a 20 minute drive from Munich Airport. The shuttle service is also 45 euro each way, which is not disclosed in the booking.

The room was beautiful and well furnished. There was climate control which is a huge plus on hot summer nights. On the downside, the public transport options to the airport were not great and would range from 1 to 2 hours in travel time. It’s much faster with a car if you have one or can afford a taxi.

What a surprising gem. We were forced to use this place because loser Lufthansa cancelled our flight at the last minute. So we scrambled to find a place. This came up. Rates were reasonable and close to MUC.

Right away, I liked the place. The lobby was busy, but in an inviting fashion. The room was large enough and had a separate bedroom. The toilet room was laughably small. So, fat people beware. The whole facility looked like it was recently renovated.

Unfortunately the hotel is further from the airport than the name implies. Late booking because of cancelled flight. Clean, comfortable, good breakfast. Night staff a bit confused over whether breakfast was included led md me having to rush it. Free shuttle back to airport.

Closes to the airport and free parking

Hotel is located in a quiet area and closed to the MUC airport. Our room was newly renovated and very comfortable. We enjoyed all the amenities. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but we were not affected by noise. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There's tons of parking (free) right on the street, or you can pay to park in their garage. I enjoyed having a private room separate from the common area and kids room. I would definitely stay here again.

So I will say that the staff is excellent. But unfortunately, because of all the construction going on at the hotel, everything was closed. The restaurant is closed. You have to walk upstairs and downstairs and take the elevator to get to your floor. It’s very disorganized but other than That the staff was great and I enjoyed my stay. I think they need to close down while they’re doing renovations because it’s very inconvenient and nothing is open.

The property did not have a parking lot, even though they advertised FREE PARKING! I was asked to find a parking spot somewhere on the street in the neighborhood. That's not funny when you are in a different country where you don't even speak the language!
The hotel is under major remodeling/construction, in lobby and many other areas, so at 8AM it was a lot of banging in the walls and a lot of noise. I didnt see that mentioned in the expedia advertisement.
Also, the breakfast is 18 Euros per person, but the food they provide, its not worthy anywhere near over 70Euros for a family of 4. Very disappointed!
When you pay $190 per night, they should absolutely provide free parking and free breakfast because its already about double price compare to our Best Western in US.

We had 5 adults in our family staying overnight. The location is far from downtown and there is only McDonald's nearby, but for a hotel room that could fit 5 adults in our family at once, it was great. There were two queen beds and a sofa bed, and we were able to use the shower room at the same time in the gym area.

Das Familienzimmer ist sehr wertig und wirklich schön. Leider waren wir Anfang Februar da und die Klimaanlage hat es nicht geschafft, das Zimmer annähernd aufzuwärmen. Für die erste Nacht haben wir dann weitere Decken bekommen, am zweiten Tag wurden uns dann zwei Elektroheizungen ins Zimmer gestellt und wir haben eine schriftliche Entschuldigung erhalten. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Fußläufig gab es genug kostenfreie Parkmöglichkeiten.

Von außen sehr unauffällig und klein. Von innen frisch, neuwertig und weitläufig. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön ausgestattet und neuwertig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Rezeption ist 24 Stunden besetzt. Auch die Therme ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Für mich empfehlenswert. Danke!
