We tried to cancel our reservation 24 hrs ahead, but was told we would lose our money because we prepaid thru Expedia. I contacted Expedia and they didn’t have our reservation. Floors in Econolodge are sticky and very dirty. If you wipe water off the floor the cloth is dirty. Would NOT recommend.

Econo Lodge Christiansburg-Blacksburg I-81 was just what I was looking for, a comfortable, quiet and affordable place to stay while I was helping my graduate move out from his apartment. The bed was pleasantly comfortable, and even with it being a motel, it was quiet, safe and cozy (I’m not usually a motel person). My only complaint is with the parental restrictions on the T.V. They should lift those when an adult is staying in the room, I wasn’t able to watch anything listed “for mature audiences only”.

Beds hard and uncomfortable; covers on bed the thinnest ive ever experienced. Everything looked like ownership didnt care about winning repeat customers, including lose tiles in bathroom. I stayed a total of 9 hours between check in and out, and could not wait to leave.

We stayed here for a VT football game. The room was borderline gross. We were not comfortable bathing there, as the bathroom floor looked terrible. Doors look like they hadn’t been cleaned (maybe ever). The primary door inside/outside, took a good shove just to get it to close completely.
