I liked the location of this property. Very close to the tram that takes you to the airport or the city centre. Checkin staff were excellent. Room was clean and modern. I would stay here again. Breakfast was good, but I've had better at other ibis hotels.

The room size was reasonable and clean. The bed was a double and extremely soft. Which did not suit my needs and had a terrible night sleep. The air conditioning did not work only made noise and no cold air and could not sleep at all.

Small room but comfortable. Great walk-in shower; didn’t have to climb into a tub! But the floor of the shower was slippery 🙁. Wonderful people at the front desk! Excellent breakfast offerings — the best of all the hotels during our trip! Very nice area to eat breakfast, even tables outside. Very close to the airport tram. Would definitely book there again.

Not a great experience. The twin rooms were really cramped. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The mattresses had a topper fitted but that was covered in some kind of wrapping. The air conditioning in the room wasn’t working properly so nights were unbearable. We did ask for it to be checked and were told someone would come but nothing happened. Shower pressure was weak.

On the plus side, there is secure parking on site, which you can pay for. There is a tram station nearby which can take you to Nice centre in about 25 minutes.

Bedroom was clean....but AC was not working so too hot...had to open the windows...too noisy. No shuttle from airport so had to use taxi 30.00 Euros.

Perfect good value base to explore Nice

Perfect for solo travel, cross the road from the airport, take a 5 minute walk and you’ve arrived! From the hotel it’s about a 10 min walk to the Promenade and 5 mins to the nearest bike hire station (highly recommended). I use the bike lanes to explore Nice, and the nearby coastal towns using their excellent cycle lanes and routes. It’s also excellent location for running and other activities.
The hotel was clean, well run, staff always available. The double room was a good size for a solo trip, probably a little on the small side otherwise but with so much to explore you won’t spend much time in the room.
The breakfast was good value with lots on offer.
There was some noise from the other rooms but nothing you won’t get anywhere else. The hotel is opposite the busy road and airport so there is some noise from these but the windows were good at blocking out most of the noise.
Look forward to returning.

I paid $100 extra for a seaside view. Not only we’re we not seaside, we were first floor so all we saw was fence. The staff was great and very friendly. Just think I should’ve been reimbursed for the extra view cost.

Honestly a bit upset. First of all its called aipprt hotel but dont expect reCh by foot its faaaarrrrr
Then room must be renovated. You will not see quality of Ibis chain. Receptionist said it s not possible to regulate room temperature and not possible to use A/C. So you will have choice to not sleep because too warm or to open window and not sleep because too noisy

Very good stay, lovely breakfast and the room was clean with a comfy bed and a good shower. Great location just round the corner by the sea from the tram which was 1.50 euros into the city centre and only 4-5 stops from the airport. Staff were good and allowed us to leave our luggage there on our last day. Great stay!

Very clean and pleasant, but it's not truly an airport hotel. We used the #2 Tram to get to the Terminal 2 -- about five minutes, but closer/walkable is the Ibis Budget. Not much food available nearby, and the restaurant is only a 5/10.

sound proofing needed

the staff were great but the sound proofing is terrible, we went to bed early because of an early flight and heard every movement from every room around, put some felts on the wooden chairs and maybe the bed legs, it sounded like renovations were being done until after midnight.

It wasn’t clean, they’re bugs in the room and there was a bad smell in the room.
I asked them to give me more towels many times but they gave me only one extra.
I just realized that they charged my credit card before the check in around $111 , I put a dispute to this charge and I’m waiting for their answer.

I have never written a bad review and try to see the best in every situation... BUT:

Paper thin walls, which means you hear everyone's movements and chatter. Cockroaches scurrying over the floor... and loud drills / hammering waking you up early morning. Not recommended. Very uncomfortable stay and overall not a good experience at all. Very disappointed.

The hotel was predictable for a chain with fresh bedding and modern decor. Reception was not over friendly. However I didn’t like my bedroom because it gave on to a car park on the first floor, the toilet seat was not fixed properly and one of the light fitment was humming! I was given another room which was much better so this was solved efficiently and courteously.
The fire alarm sounded before midnight and I took the stairs down but had to walk back up because the exit door was locked. That’s not good and needs addressing.

The hotel was fine for one night. I did not like the fact that we had to pay 35 euros for the 5 minute trip to the hotel from the airport. The room was extremely small and the beds were fine. There were no extras like a box of kleenex.

Handy hotel if you have early flights

The hotel is in the middle of a massive upgrade, so it is hard to comment on what it will be like afterwards, but the rooms are typically IBIS, with nice beds. The public areas are bright and clean. The hotel is too far from the airport to walk easily. Also not to be confused with the IBIS Budget behind the Novotel. Good public transport in the area.

This hotel is not 3 star it is 1 star I made reservation on expediția based on the fact that the hotel is close to the airport actually it is 4 km walk and the name is a big LIE. Please stop selling wrong information. When I called to ask help to get there no shuttle service and no friendly customer service if you complain they put you on hold. My second stay here and again l had a nice room, on the fifth floor with views of the airfield and jets. Aircraft noise is never a problem. Wifi is excellent and the tv often has no channel in English. All reception staff are efficient and most are friendly. Handy for local buses with stops very near on both sides of the main road.

If your flying out of Nice airport, this would be the only reason to stay at this hotel because you are literally minutes away. The nearest restaurant is 25 min. away and the hotel restaurant is awful. Rooms are very small.

Cannot fault the staff, particularly Reception.
Bar often unattended.
Restaurant evening menu basic, and at weekend the chef is Monsieur le Microwave - poor.
Room basic - cannot flush and brush for example.
TV has some 20 or more channels, but no English ones.
Location is great for airport if travelling lightly - 10 min walk.
Railway station is near. Buses stop outside, Tramway under construction behind hotel.
Room was quiet as facing away from the runway, but hotel quiet anyway.

Two lifts.
Couple of supermarkets nearby, but no good restaurants.
Bag store.

I had a pleasant stay here at the hotel. It is close to the airport and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The staff is often busy but helpful. I would recommend skipping the breakfast buffet and head into town for breakfast if you are going in anyways.

Super handy, clean and good food!

Spent my last night in Nice here. Handy for the airport, real good front desk staff and a comfy room.

Several members of my family spent much of the day hanging out with me in the lobby which wasn’t a problem for the staff. Food and coffees were plentiful and only a request away. They caught their late flight so I enjoyed a ripper dinner followed by a good nights sleep.

Ibis is well priced and good value.

I’d do it again ...

The hotel is in a good location very close to the airport. My third floor room had a good view of the airport and many of the parked private jets were just across the road. The staff were very friendly and efficient. My room was a fair size and the en suite was very spacious. The flat screen tv has many channels, but the only one in English was an American news channel. I think I was unlucky enough to have a noisy next door neighbour in the hotel.. after hearing recurrent noises coming from his room he was just before me at reception when checking out at 7 45am,(knew it was him when he quoted his room no!). The rooms in the hotel have wooden floors which would increase sounds, but the main thing to remember is because of its location the hotel will have people arriving from or going to the airport at all times!

Quiet, comfortable and conveniently located hotel

First of all, and quite important, this hotel is super clean. Second, it's comfortable. Nice bed, nice pillows, nice chair and desk, plenty of electricity outlets, free and good wifi, well designed and well positioned air conditioning... and the rooms are also extremely quiet. Really important when the airport is just across the street.

And mentioning the airport, coming to the hotel from there after 9pm could be an issue. There are no buses at that time, it's too close for a taxi and too far to walk. However, if you are not terrified by the idea of a 15-minute walk along the promenade with your luggage, you could take the free shuttle bus from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1, and then just go East to the hotel by foot.

From early morning to 9pm you could use the airport express bus #98, and the hotel is just 2 stops from Terminal 2 and 3 stops from Terminal 1. Which doesn't save you from the full airport bus rate, which is 6 eur - but this is the only option Nice has to offer as a public transport connection for the airport.

In terms of connection to the city, the hotel location is more than convenient. You have a bus stop 70 meters from the hotel, just across the promenade, and the bus will take you downtown in about 20 minutes. St. Augustine train station is less than 10 minutes walking (or 2 bus stops) from the hotel, and from there you have convenient train connections to all the French Riviera and beyond.

Very enjoyable stay. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. When asked they phoned for taxi for me and it arrived within 5 minutes. Excellent food in the restaurant and breakfast superb. Only thing missing was no tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Price for parking motorcycle was the same as for a car.

The road at the front is an open market for women by the hour - perhaps they should feature this in their advertising?

Best for minimal stay (night b4 early departure)

This place is great for price and location only. It's very basic, with a bed with a thin comforter and a shower with hot water. The room was cold and didn't heat up with use of the temp control units (which were noisy) and the staff was, too. But no matter. We were able to walk to the airport in 10 minutes for the first flights of the day and paid 70€ for the room on the final night of our trip.

Easy exit after 3 month cycle trip.

Great choice for leaving for NZ after a long cycle touring trip. We were close to airport and city and staff were very helpful in enabling us to pack up our cycles. This meant a lot to us as it was our first trip with bikes and we had concerned about how difficult this aspect might be.
