I don’t typically leave reviews but I was super disappointed in my stay at this Ibis , being iv stayed in 3 different countries at ibis. The staff were super kind and nice but other than that. I paid extra for “new bedding” which was dirty.. maids came to give new sheets, they didn’t. Room was all busted up, stuff broke , bathroom had bacteria growth in the shower. Internet went down for like half a day, interrupting my travel plans to an extent.

great hotel choice outside of pricey Barcelona. It's 10-15 minute walk from train station, and then about 1 hour train trip into Barcelona Sants station. There's 3 convenient grocery stores, each 1 block from hotel. Also fresh fruit and vegetable stands. Market mornings in Molins de Rei are a delight. Very friendly staff, nice room, and just what you'd expect from Ibis.

Staff was very friendly and helpful regardless of who was working.

Food ordered at the restaurant wasn’t as listed on the menu. I think it was more of a guideline and if they had the ingredients available. Also, the meat from the burger I got had a big piece of bone in it. So be cautious if you order one.

Great value for the price. Very friendly staff that even at checkout granted us the coffee we purchased and a breakfast. The AC chills the room very well, only on our last night during the night there was a technicallity that stopped the cooling. This was noticed in the morning so in general we still had a pleasant sleep. Maybe that's why we got the 3 times coffee and breakfast for free

Can’t tell you how thankful I was for this place. Standard bed and shower but that’s all I needed. The breakfast slapped. Pretty American friendly breakfast, but some Spanish stuff mixed in. I liked the coffee machine. The area around had some nice parks to walk through.

The photos made the hotel look much more modern and updated than it actually was. While it was clean, the rooms and bathroom could use a serious update. Unfortunately the reception staff was not very friendly or helpful throughout the stay. Very curt considering hospitality is their job. Multiple key cards didn’t work—other guests had the same problem (including receiving a key for another guest’s occupied room)—while not a huge deal I would expect by the time I got the third one it would be flawless. Unfortunately it was not and after a long day of travel it was a bit annoying to make multiple trips down to reception just to get in the room.

The hotel is very convenient if you need to get to the airport early in the morning. It is only 17 minutes away and right on the highway. The rooms was nice, clean, quiet, and big enough for two people. The bed was very nice, firm and comfortable. The only drawback is the shower. Like in most places in Europe it seems the bathroom is an afterthought. It was tiny and not very comfortable. With only a couple of hooks and barely any space to move around it is not the most ideal setup. Parking was available either outside or in the garage and the lobby was fine. Overall a good place to stay for a night before an early flight.

Plenty of restaurants around the area. Great breakfast option. We enjoyed it a lot. Very accommodating staff. Good English speaking staff. They have a good restaurant inside the hotel. Easy to find. The only thing I didn’t like is the bathroom. Quite slippery. Not ideal for elderly people and peoplewith disability.

This was just what we needed for our stay. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and accomodating. We did purchase the breakfast in the morning and I found it underwhelming (fairly expensive and the food was cold/not a huge selection) but over all it was a great experience. I just wouldnt do breakfast again next time.

Members of staff are extremely helpful and welcoming during our stay in the hotel. They never get tired with my trip questions and places to visit in Barcelona. And the morning breakfast is pretty good with full of choices. The room is tidy and clean. I would recommend all friends to stay there when they come for a visit in Barcelona.

The stay was nice. Easy to find, easy parking, quiet, pleasant staff, decent food at the restaurant and very reasonably priced. Our room did not have any toilet paper when we arrived though and they do not offer any separate bath amenities (shampoo/body wash in one).

Basic hotel, too expensive for what they offer.

This hotels was far below what I was used from the Ibis chain. It the room were smaller, my suitcases would not have fit inside. Lists free parking but the parking lot is small, anybody can park there, and of course when is full they offer a paid lot. Breakfast very basic and is far from everything. My point is that it is way too expensive for what they offer as it is just a bare necessities hotel. The only really nice thing about it, is that the staff is very nice and friendly.

The hotel is not in Barcelona, it’s a good distance by metro / train to city. Rooms very small , bathroom like an add on IKEA bathroom , 2 towels only , expensive Coffee in morning & awful . Would not recommend it, we left early to another hotel closer to Barcelona !!!!

Brilliant location for visiting Barcelona. A €4 return 20min train journey takes you right into the centre of Barcelona. Very modern purpose built hotel , no frills but very clean. Okay buffet breakfast and parking on site for a small charge, very close to motorway network. Would definitely stay again. And they accept dogs, a bonus.

We stayed here only because the Mobile Convention in Barcelona had inflated the cost of hotel rooms in Barcelona to the stratosphere. There is no other reason to stay at this facility. It has no amenities and it is so far outside of the City as to be inconvenient/expensive to access the pleasures of Barcelona and/or the airport. This was just a bed and a shower.

Hotel staff was friendly any helpful all the time. Check in was easy and quick. Hotel amenities were great, wifi fast and easy to log in. Breakfast was really good, like a continental but with more variety. Location is a little far from the city, however the train station is about 10 min walk and the area is so pretty and safe that it doesn't bother the time spent getting there. Room is good size and with private bathroom. I would definitely stay here again.

We just discover Ibis Hotels and they are excellent! Clean, simple and comfortable room with all the necessities. Great comfortable bed and clean sheets! Also they have great food at the restaurant. The staff is always great and they have parking. It's around 15 mns from the city but if you have a car is an easy commute. Love, love Ibis hotels!! Great coffee, breakfast is simple but good! You can't go wrong with Ibis Hotels, they are now our first choice in hotels when travelling around Europe and you can't beat their prices!

I have stayed in many iBis hotel all over Europe, but this location is one of the best I have stayed.

Pros:
- Property feels new. Excellent rooms.
- Aircon :)
- Lots of restaurants nearby
- Close to airport. Cost 39EUR
- Big grocery store next door.

Cons:
- Staff needs some training, especially the night shift.
- The train station is little far from the hotel. 15mins walk. 2.50EUR to go to the city center.

We needed a cheap place to stay for a night near Barcelona. This place was easy to find with parking and just outside the city. It's a little bit inland so it was nice and warm and sunny when we woke up.

The hotel is about 30-40 min from downtown Barcelona by train and about a 15 min walk from the train station so it is pretty far out. But it was substantially cheaper than other hotels and maintained very well with clean rooms and friendly staff. It is however close to a shopping arcade with many shops and it is right next to a grocery store.

Budget hotel away from city. Ideal if you drive.

Hotel staff did not provide the indicated preferred room when check-in. Have to go back reception with luggage again to get the correct room configuration. This hotel is cheap but far away from city centre. The free parking means that it is good for travelers who rent a car.

The hotel is located outside of Barcelona. For the price we paid (£32.00/night for 2 person) it was a bargain. The room was nice and clean and to be honest we used it only for sleeping. We were out 9am to late night every day. Who wants to stay in hotel in Barcelona anyway! it is located 10 min walk from Molin De Rei train station where you can get a ticket to Barcelona. the 10 minute walk will take you through none-tourist side of Barcelona which gives you a chance to see the real life of Barcelona people. you can eat breakfast at hotel for 7.50 euros but we preferred to buy pastry and cakes from local shops freshly made on our way to train station every morning.
Staffs were really good and professional. You can ask reception to provide you with safe if you need. Downside!: the hotel provides you with head and body shower gel. No soap! So take soap with you to avoid small disappointments. On the way back from Barcelona to hotel, we used taxi every night as the 10 min walk from train station to hotel could be a little rough at nights considering the area. From Catalonia train station to hotel it costs around 30 euros. So take this to you budget calculation. overall very good hotel for the price.

This was my 2nd stay in this hotel. While hotel is clean and new, the noise insulation is not too good. I was disturbed by guests in neighbouring rooms. Free parking is a bonus. If you don't rent a car, this hotel is far from city center.

Was attending a conference at the Fira Gran Via. This was about a 20-30 minute drive (about 25-30 euros by cab) from he hotel to the Fira (about the same to the airport also). Mostly highway. Last couple of years we had a hotel in downtown Barcelona and it took longer to get to the Fira, so this was definitely a great location for getting to and from the Fira. But obviously being in a small town outside downtown there were less restaurant choices (only about 2-3 good ones within walking distance). But you can also grab a cab to downtown (about 20-30 minutes each way). My only issue was that the hotel room was a bit warm. I turned the A/C on but only warm air came out. When I called the front desk they indicated that the hotel was either in heat mode or A/C mode and it was heat mode. They suggested I open the windows, which I did.

Overall not great- just ok

The hotel was pleasant and the staff were friendly enough. However my girlfriend was staying in a hostel and they provided her with a map and circled all the locations she should visit. Which i thought was great. THIS hotel just gave me a map to the closest station and THAT was it.
The train station is a good 10 minutes walk away from the hotel but this is no problem and it's quite a pleasant walk. However my only issue was that the last train from central Barcelona was at 00:00 hours. Which meant i didn't really get to enjoy the night life as it was too far away to return.

Overall the room was ok, there were no carpets in my room and i could feel that the floor was unclean when walking bare foot. Bed was comfortable but the walls are also pretty thin too.

Overall if you're looking for a budget hotel and you don't mind having to return to your hotel before 12 midnight. Then this is for you.
IF however you want to enjoy the night life of Barcelona or just have the freedom to come back when you want i would strongly recommend staying in a hostel in the center of Barcelona.

A nice stay a little ways out

We ended up here after dragging in to Barcelona around midnight, not wanting to tackle the city center and needing to do laundry. The Hotels.com listing says that the Ibis (and all Ibis' for that matter) have both laundry facilities and laundry service. That is incorrect. They only have a laundry service. There on no on-site laundry facilities. No matter, Ibis staff fixed the problem. The room was comfortable, the bed very nice. We ended up staying in a bunch of Ibis' in southern Europe because every one of them had the same bed. The restaurant was fair, breakfast not bad. Would definitely stay here again if we found ourselves in Barcelona or any place that there was an Ibis.

On a positive the staff were friendly. However, I thought the photos were misleading. The overall hotel is quite shabby and our room smelt like stale smoke. The breakfast was ok again but not as appetizing as the photos. The hotel could do with a revamp as the prices are too high for what you get.

Zimmer war ok aber sehr warm. Leider funktionierte die Klimaanlage nicht (kam nur warme Luft raus).
Die Fenster konnte man nur einen Spalt öffnen, weil ein Sicherheitsband dort war, der ein großes Aufmachen verhinderte.
Ein weiterer nachteil war, das unsere Zimmer zur Seite der Autobahn war und wir deswegen nachts das Fenster schließen mussten weil so viel Autolärm vorhanden war.
Das Frühstücksbuffet war gut
