The reception staff were very friendly and super helpful. It is close to the train station to travel into Barcelona. I would definitely recommend this hotel and enjoyed exploring the pretty town of Sant Cugat.

My second visit to this hotel for work. It's central to where I want to go but it's very much a travel lodge arrangement. Basic and functional. The reception staff could be a little better, some barely spoke English and were very economic with information and directions. I wouldn't call them warm and welcoming. The local police seem to congregate in the hotel for their refreshments break and with only one staff member on reception you could be waiting ten minutes to be addressed. As a paying guest I'd have thought that guests have priority over casual callers. The hotel is clean but it needs an overhaul and in particular the end shower panel and immediate area behind the taps could do with a good scrub. There was no duvet on the bed only sheets but there was a blanket in the cupboard which I wasn't inclined to use as I'm not sure who would have used it before me. Overall as a budget hotel it does what it says on the tin. San cougat is really lovely and if I were returning for leisure I'd stay elsewhere.

We were very happy with our stay here! It was close to the train station, gas station, and grocery stores. We were about a 45 min to an hour train ride to the main attractions in Barcelona. Although we wished it was shorter, it was decent considering the price point. The room was very nice, clean, and well kept. One thing we had a bit of challenges was the AC as it is very low so we were so hot at night haha. Otherwise, we were grateful to have this space to return to after a loooonng day of walking.

Overall the hotel was noisy, mainly due to very thin walls and guests slamming doors, hearing neighbours etc. the food was absolutely disgusting and inedible. Customer service poor overall. Hairs on the Flor and towels

Staff has no compassion. I had originally booked 4 nights but only stayed for 2 due to the political protests and riots that were going on in Barcelona. I had to be closer to Barcelona due to the limited transportation and to be closer to family. I asked the front desk employee if I would be able to get a refund for the 2 nights that i was unable to stay, he told me to contact hotels.com , which I did and the hotel still denied a refund due to the emergency. I understand they may have had a no refund policy, but due to what was going on in that country they could have had a little more compassion.

We were attending a local sports event and spent 6 nights at the hotel. The staff were very friendly & helpful and the hotel looks quite new. The rooms were fresh & clean. If you’re only staying in the area then it’s fine but if you plan to tour around Barcelona while your stay there then I would suggest you pay a few bucks extra to void any time consumed inconveniences, It’s a nice quiet neaighborhood, walking distance to the station but when dragging even just a carry on I would pass on it. The roads were small and rocky which makes it harder to roll your carry on. There is absolutely zero amenities so ensure to bring your own shampoo, tooth brush, tooth paste, etc. The market next to it was not appealing. It doesn’t even seem like it’s a market to me. However, there is another super market just a block away from the train station and from there you can grab whatever you need. I suggest stack up water becuase purchasing water from convenience stores is expensive. One euro here one euro there adds up.

In terms of price this is a great hotel, not a luxury one, location wise it is in a very good area and very close to S2, S6 and R8 train stations, also there are great restaurants around and a supermarket cross the street which has everything.

This is my second stay at this hotel. The hotel is OK, nothing luxurious, but it is clean and comfortable. The location was convenient for my purposes (visiting family) at Sant Cugat. This is a really nice small town about 30 min from Barcelona. If you are not driving, the train is about 15 to 20 min walk from the hotel, or you can take the bus from across the street. If you are driving, they offer free secure parking facilities on premises (get a small car, parking spaces and roads in Europe are not the same as in the US, you will not be able to squeeze a full sized american car into most of those spaces)
Most of the staff was very nice and courteous. there is a small restaurant in the lobby. I only had one quick breakfast there so I can't comment on the quality of food. I did however get tea/coffee every night and they were open even past midnight.

There were three of us. Stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. Relatively easy connection to Barcelona Catalunya: an S2 train stop is under 10 minutes walking and it takes about 30 minutes to Placa Catalunya. Small fridge in the room. No kettle though. Breakfasts are served and for a reasonable price, however, I cannot rate those as we did not take them. Parking (free) is in the hotel, though we had to ask the staff how to get there from the street (it was not obvious). The staff at the reception was nice and helpful.

Most of the staff were very impolite to us. In particular, the guy who worked the front desk in the morning was horrible. In addition to being rude and unhelpful to our faces, he said nasty things about us to the other workers in Catalan, assuming we could not understand him. One day we took a taxi to the hotel and I lost my wallet in the taxi. We asked him for help and he said there was nothing he could do. Then, I went online and found a number to call for items lost in taxis. We tried to call from our room, but could not dial out and he told us we had to have him call. When we went to the desk he said he would call in a moment and proceeded to do paperwork for 10 minutes until the phone rang. Another 10 minutes later (after telling the person on the phone that \"it's fine, I have time to talk\" in Catalan) he ended the call and PRETENDED TO MAKE A CALL FOR US! I was able to later call from another phone and for that service, you must push a few buttons to get through menus before talking to someone. Not only did he barely look at the number while dialing, he never once pushed another button.
The room we were in was fairly clean, although small. The beds were very uncomfortable and worst of all they had shut the air conditioning off in the entire building. Granted, we stayed in December, but for us, Spain in December was not very cold and due to the heating in the building it was VERY hot so we had to always have the window open constantly.

Beautiful hotel in the outskirts of Barcelona
I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel in the outskirts of Barcelona, within walking distance of the train station. It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach Barcelona city centre and the train journey is pleasant, travelling via hills and idyllic spanish villages. The hotel provides a very nice breakfast buffet and a nice menu for dinner as well. The staff are very friendly, they even printed out detailed instructions for me to travel to my conference which was being held in the city centre of Barcelona. San Cugat is a very nice village, with a historical monastery and a small town centre. There is a 24 hour shop in a petrol station just adjacent to the hotel where you can get most things.

The H2 Sant Cugat is a decent place to stay if you're travelling for leisure and just need a place to crash. However, I was staying for business and I wouldn't recommend it to business travellers for the following reasons: 1) No room service. As someone who tends to do alot of work in a hotel room (as I travel nearly weekly for work), this is extremely inconvenient. 2) Horrible horrible bed. It's thin and hard. I slept horribly the 4 nights I was there. 3) No special amenities, such as body lotion or conditioner. 4) No coffee/tea maker in the room. 5) Distance from restaurants, shops, etc. This is a safe enough location but nothing is close by. 6) Most worrisome, perhaps: internet kept crashing. This lead to alot of frustration. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for business travellers. Otherwise, the room is sparse, almost hostel-like; although clean and fairly new, there were nails protruding from the floor skirting, which, when touched, immediately come off the wall. There are a few plus points: 1) The shower, although it has a very small handheld shower head, is the most powerful one I've ever encountered (be careful, it's so much so that I managed to completely spray the bathroom) so that was not bad. 2) The breakfast has nice croissants and yoghurt which was fine by me. 3) Most of the front staff are very nice and speak English very well. Overall, perhaps a 2.5/5.

The only problem was no kettle and cups in the room. We could not make tea or coffee at all and had to buy water and soft drinks from the petrol station across the road. Otherwise, it would be a perfect place to stay even thought it is situated away from the city of Barcelona.
