I booked 7 nights for a holiday with my daughter and my son, staff were so polite, cleaning service was perfect, the environment of hotel was amazing. Breakfast everyday on time.
Everything about this hotel was really good and can't complain. The only downside was distance, we spent lots of money on taxis everyday to go to different places as the public transport wasn't an option.
I recommend this hotel for short or long stays but if you are on holiday, either have own car or find out public transport to your destinations.

Overall the hotel was okay but could do better for a 4 star hotel.
Noisy early mornings and late at night around the hotel from other quests l guessed.
Breakfast was the same every single day.It became very boring after a few days.
Not much variety to choose from. Rooms were cleaned every day but the rooms,walls and air-conditioning unit needs a deep clean. Marks on walls,dusty air-conditioning unit,dusty cupboards.
Wanted to order room service one day on a Saturday only to be told the restaurant doesn't open on weekends . No idea why??
Also me and my partner got bitten by something in the beds,woke up with these itchy lesions/ marks all over legs, body and arms.
Definitely some bed bugs in there.
Pool area not bad, kids enjoyed the pool but not once did l see a lifeguard around the pool the days l was there.
No security around the hotel as well,anyone can easily just walk in there.Very unsafe

Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome, but to be shortly disappointed by a room consumed by tobacco smell and a large rag shoved in the tap socket of the shower to stop a leak. We had to move rooms in the first few minutes.

The second room appeared better, yet it was dusty and often not cleaned to a basic standard. E.g. mould in the fridge.

Due to the digital safe malfunction, the safe provided would not open after use, we had our passports and bank cards inside. When reported, the young male receptionist had a very nonchalant attitude, he did not treat the issue as an urgency. We had to report to him consistently to remind him of the matter, he's incomptance made us lose out on 3 days of our holiday as he could not give us an expected time or date as to when the issue would be resolved. We had to wait from Sat-Mon for the maintenance man, who eventually had to use an electric grinder to open.

Lastly, another male staff member (tall bald man generally in the breakfast room) often came across prejudice in comparison to hes treatment to other guests. At breakfast, despite seeing us eat on several occasions, he only stopped and shouted at us in particular for our room numbers. Yet others were greeted well and even taken to their seats. He also out others infront of us even though we were first in the queue.

The only nice staff was a the young blonde receptionist who was extremely helpful when on shift. The pool was nice but deck chairs dirty and unkept.

Its nice small hotel situated in the nice suburban area. In the reception they were very friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel to the travelers with car, other wise its about 25 km fare from the center city.

Lovely hotel friendly and very helpful staff, very clean and comfortable. Used the bus stop right outside the hotel, got off at last stop, couple of hundred meters to metro station with last stop the centre of Barcelona, really easy and cheap to get there and back. Highly recommended.

The hotel is perfect location for business meetings, the office I was working from was literally a 2 minute walk.
The rooms are basic, with old air conditioning units - but they worked. The pool area is nice, with sunbeds & towels, however there is no bar facility for a drink.
The hotel bar is only open for for limited time, which can be difficult if you are to & from the hotel inbetween meetings. There are nearby shops - 15/20mins walk.
The rooms are clean, but some are bath only. I had a shower, which was nice, but my colleagues were bath only. Reception are friendly. My hair dryer wasn't working, but after chasing reception a couole of times they fixed it.
Breakfast is very nice, lots of fresh fruit/croissants, meats. toast etc. I would stay again.
Barcelona city is approx. 30 mins by car & the aiport is approx. 40 mins (€50 by taxi).

Located well out of the city GPS found it OK. Motorcycle friendly but no undercover parking. Excellent reception staff. Ice water appreciated. Good local knowledge. Good sized room. Bus stop to city a couple of hundred metres only. Supermarket nearby and petrol station. Plenty of parking free.

Rooms were okay but i dont call this hotel as 3 or 4 stars. Major problem with hotel is the language. Hardly anyon3 at reception understands english. Hotel has pool but it remains closed during winter or spring period. I found the rooms bit noisy as well. Also rooms have very old air conditioning system which I felt doesnt work very well. I was also charged for breakfast by mistake which shows poor communication within staff itself.

Nicest room so far on this trip, but.....

The room itself was very nice. See pictures. And having 6 or so English speaking TV channels was a bonus! Bidet was a nice touch. One suggestion: provide a toilet brush. I know it takes away from the look of the nice bathroom, but it's one less thing to clean for the hotel cleaning staff. For those of us considerate enough to use it, that is.
Before I even saw the room, I asked if I could extend my stay at the same price, but I couldn't. I booked more nights, after I got in the room, and saved myself a bit, but it was still more than the original price for the one night. Not a big deal.
The first bed I tried, it kind of caved in on me a bit, in the middle. I was too tired to care. But I did sleep in the other bed the following nights.
One thing I do want to add: I count SIX bites on me. Three on my right arm, two on my left leg. and one on my left hand. Gross.
The front desk clerk asked me if everything was OK when I checked out this morning... I said yes..... but then I went back in and told her about my bites... she asked me what room I was in .... then she said it was probably a mosquito.... All I know is that their hotel room was the nicest one I have stayed in this trip so far.... But, I had NO bites on me when I checked in on Friday night... and now I have SIX on Monday. Was it a mosquito? Or was it something worse?

The room was nice, clean and modern. However, I would like to at least have a kettle in the room to make my morning coffee. Also the staff was terribly rude. The receptionist made us waited for 15 minutes while she spoke to her Spanish customers and when a bus load of tourists came in she went to serve them first. Completely ignored my presence. I had to interrupt her so I can check in. And she was very unapologetic about it. Didn't explain anything to us, just gave us the key n send us off. And every time when we walk pass the counter she would give us the look

This place cannot be four stars.

Booked this hotel for the first two days in Barcelona. It is far from Barcelona city center, which I knew and accepted. I had a rental car so I don't mind driving into the city. On arrival, the front desk girl gave us an unfinished room on a floor being renovated. The hallway had masking all over from the on-going renovations. When we opened the door to our room, it had a strong smell of various chemicals like paint, plaster, glue, etc. In the corner, one of the wooden counter was removed and was just leaning against the wall. Renovations to this room was obviously \"in progress\". We went down to the front desk and asked for a new room. The front desk girl just shrugged and gave us a new room without a word or eye contact. The second room was better, but had missing tiles on the floor and was obviously one of the older rooms awaiting renovation. The breakfast buffet was very good though, lots of variety.

The hotel is probably the most decent in town almost like an industrial location. Its under renovation thats why its noisy. The pool would have made things a little better since its beginning to get warm but its CLOSED.
Room is spacious but old. AC is ok so as the 9 euro buffet breakfast. But its far. you need to take a cab or bus to the train station 2.50 for bus and around 7 euros fora cab. Best to choose somewhere close to Metro.
The cafe was open during the night but there was only 1 person tending, serving, cashing. Its a work in progress.
Better only if youre doing business close to the hotel, otherwise its very far from Barca or Catalunya.

First of all non of the pics of the hotel look close to what the reality is the breakfast is terrible the same items everyday and very poor quality , the air condition was leaking water I contacted the front desk they asked if I want extra towel for the leaking water , the tv signal is so bad and all Chanel's are in Spanish , sooo far from the city it is like 1.30 away from Barcelona ( don't go there if you want have a good trip

Hotel needs refurbishment

Web pictures and rating a bit optimistic for this place. Was slumming it a bit for work with this 2-night stop (otherwise proper 4* and 5* hotels in large cities of Spain) but still disappointed with battered appearance of room - peeling plywood from bathroom door being particularly notable but also scuffed wallpaper, worn corridor carpets etc. Being used by Chinese coach parties both days I was there. Bed itself quite good and slept well one night but not other when room upstairs occupied due to talking and scraping noises. Also room was cold although the air conditioners can be used as heaters (some may not like this arrangment). Location is out of the way for most things (nothing around it, it's not even central in Cerdanyola) except business and coach parties apparently. Friendly reception staff, decent breakfast.

Stayed there for ten days with my four year old son and enjoyed every moment. Friendly and courteous staff. The breakfast is awesome (ate there everyday). No complaints. 30 minute healthy walk to the train station and 30 minutes train ride to central Barcelona. Very enjoyable.

Great service by staff. The 9 euro breakfast was amazing! Room was comfortable. Sound insulation is not great when you have neighbours. 20 minute walk to the train station to get to Barcelona. Train takes about 30 minutes. Will definstely go back for another stay.

The day we arrived the hotel was over booked so they sent us to another hotel and they paid the taxi. the next day we returned to exe. Parc del Valles and they paid the taxi fare. It wasted a bit of our time then again we saw a cute little town that we would not have seen. The hotel was ok i would not give it a 4 star it was really far from everything but we planned accordingly. Next time I would stay in Barcelona. The taxi ride cost us 67 euro ($98.00 candian) Once we got there it was easy to get to Barcelona but after a bus ride and a train ride about one hour. If you stay at this hotel you can purchase a T10 pass for 20 euros it is good for the bus and the train you have 1hr and a half to go on the same ticket. Overall it was a good experience.

I was exploring the towns around Barcelona by car, so this was in a convenient place for me. It's about 20-30 minutes' drive to Barcelona itself. The wifi worked well. I ordered a pizza from room service and it was very good. Breakfast (9 euros) was decent too.

In Desperate need of Some TLC

The hotel desperately needs a refit -- wallpaper coming of the walls, fittings such as towel rails missing, doors rotten through water leakage from the shower , carpets stained etc etc.We changed rooms three times but non was perfect.
Hotel is about half hour out by rail from Barcrlina . You need hire a car out there or public transport . bus or taxi to Cerdanolya
suburb centre -- metro from there. No shops nearby although there is a service station about 400 metres away for snacks and drinks..
Staff are pleasant and friendly , beds are comfortable and the area is quiet being in an industrial estate.
It's biggest plus is it's cheap !!!

Stayed 7/9 Aug. This hotel is on an industrial estate so a car is a must. Very clean nice hotel on a par with premier inn hotels in uk. Two nights here cost us £79 cheap as chips best value we got from the 5 hotels we stayed in on this road trip. Pool was nice well maintained and staff pleasant. Did not eat here preferring to eat out in small town about 5min drive away. Room only got ok because I found bed a little bit \"uncomfy\" but being so tired from Barcelona trips soon fell to sleep.
Ask at reception where train station is and catch train into Barcelona, park your car for free in side street ( make sure it is free parking and not pay and stay.) The cost for two is € 9.40 cost you more than that for fuel and parking plus no hassle of taking car into busy Barcelona. Recommend this hotel to all.

The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were pleasant and spoke English well. GOOD THINGS: free parking, nice swimming pool, reliable wifi access, bathtub. NOT SO GOOD THINGS: no fridge or kettle in room. Industrial neighbourhood - quite a walk in the heat to find anywhere to eat, but once the pedestrian zone was located, some cheap & cheery eateries were there. NB leave car at hotel - the narrow streets and limited parking elsewhere are a liability. You WILL need a car to stay at this hotel - public transport is a long walk from there. UNABLE TO COMMENT: restaurant / bar situated in foyer. DId not use, cannot comment. OVERALL: happy to recommend.

Plesant stay at Exe Parc del Valles

It was a good stay at this hotel for my wife and myself while visiting Barcelona for 2 days trip in June 2013.
I was glad to find hotel where I could safely park my rented car. In Barcelona it was difficult or very expensive to find a hotel with parking spots.
To get to Barcelona was not a problem, half an hr. of train trip plus few minutes from the hotel by bus to train station was easy. In less than 1 hr we were at Placa Cataluña.
At the reception we were nicely explained where and how to use public transportation.
Our room on the third floor was quiet , clean and comfortable and with a nice view.
Buffet breakfast was very good, tasty with a good choice of food for everyone.
We are very happy that we choose this hotel and we would recommend it to everyone.

Not ideal for barcelona

We stayed here recently under the impression from hotels.com that it is easy access to Barcelona and barcelona airport it is not. The information given when booking is incorrect the airport is not 13 miles away but 30!! And the nearest train station is not barbera de valles! The cleanliness of the room was great however there where a few maintenance issues. The lamp was broken by the bed, there was many holes in the black out curtain and te other window had no curtain which meant we were woken early each morning by the sun. And the staff service was very good and very helpfully especially as all the staff speak very good English. The surrounding town Is very quiet and nothing much around... Wasn't a terrible stay but just not really what we expected..

Worst hotel of our two month EU trip!

Old, nasty hotel located in a commercial section of a city OUTSIDE Barcelona. This place was a joke. It may have been a nice business hotel ten years ago. The rooms are shabby, with paint peeling and rippled floors. Broken bed. We went to the pool on a hot day. it was surrounded by faded, thread bare green astroturf. I noted a leak in the ceiling of the bar and asked one of the staffers where it was coming from. She shrugged and said she did not know (or obviously care.) There is a run down, but large, gym in the basement. It is a 45 minute drive to the city and there is no easy public transportation. There is no way this place is a four star and Hotels.com should really change that. The ratings are usually close, but this is way off.

You could hear everything from the room next door. Walls are paper thin. There was a foul smell upon entering the room. The laminate flooring was separating. The beds (supposed) to be double were singles and were cheap and uncomfortable. I only stayed one night but I could not recommend this hotel. This is certainly not a 4 star hotel.

A good, clean hotel with parking an hour from Barcelona centre.

I chose this hotel because it had parking and was on the outskirts of Barcelona, which would save me driving through the traffic and paying silly parking charges.

The rooms were clean, but a little tired. However, for the money I was more than happy and the staff were extremely helpful.

The Cerdonyola area was very quiet and had some nice local bars and small restaurants - I didn't feel threatened in any way when walking to the Metro station at all hours of the day.

The walk to the Metro station is around 25mins although there is a bus that runs every 20mins (not that I ever found a schedule or saw the bus actually stop near the hotel). From the Cerdanyola station it's about a 30 minute Metro ride to the centre of Barcelona (La Rambla area). Buy a T10 ticket for the best deal.

The last train back from the city is just before midnight, but there are 2 night buses that leave from Catalunya Plaza - the N62 and N64 - that will get you back to the Cerdanyola Metro station. They start at 1am and leave every hour on the hour - your metro ticket can be used.

Good Value for money but Gym is dreadful

For the money its not a bad deal. The location needs a car to get about and the staff could be a lot more proactive in explaining the best way into Barcelona and main highways. The gym was disgusting and whilst the staff say the floors are cleaned..what gym for health and safety reasons doesn't insist on the equipment being clean?? Most of the equipment was broken or needing maintenance which pretty much applies to the whole hotel, it ineeds basic upgrading and repairs. The staff put us in a substandard room with an AC unit that leaked all over the floor. The second room was a different class, so dont be afraid to ask to see the room first, as they seem to have lots of available rooms. The pool is not available until May.

Nice place, but far from Barcelona

This is in a suburb of Barcelona, I picked it because it was a cheap 4 star hotel. It is a very nice hotel, I had no complaints about the room or the service. The surrounding area is a nice little town to walk around, I enjoyed it a lot.

Hotel is fine but is quite a walk from the station. Parking was difficult on Friday as the market was on. I think I will stay closer to the Barcelona centre next time.
Hotel located well for onward travel as easy access to motorway.

Another magnificent stay!

Ive stayed at this property 4 times so far, and yes, I am addicted to it! I rent a car whenever I travel worldwide so this place meets all my expections, including no shortage of free parking space....and more . (Why on earth wouldnt someone rent a car when on vacation or business baffles me, especially in Barcelona!) The amenities in this family friendly property meets all my expectations....esp the comfort this \"home away from home\" offers me, yet in a true 4 star property. The front desk staff, Maria and Emily, are institutions by themselves. Sometimes it is embarrassing to ask for anything from them as they already KNOW exactly what any guest would need. I have watched their interaction with others very intuitively - how they carry themselves and how they uphold the chararteristics of their professionalism and personal qualities-- very cool, very natural. I just hope they stay on, but in this capitalistic society, who knows what the temptations are. It would be unfair not to mention the fine lady in the kitchen during the evening around 9:30pm who brought to my room hot water (with salt) for my son who had a sore throat and needed to gargle. They are an asset to any public contact enterprise. (This hotel was full last time I was there; I hope I am lucky again to get a reservation the next time.) A huge THANKS Eurostars Parc Del Valles. Can't wait!!

A must-stay hotel if you have a car

Since I always rent a car during my trip to Barcelona, I love this hotel for everything a good truly 4 Star hotel has to offer. I have no clue of other modes of transportation into Barcelona nor am I interested! Large rooms (immaculately clean - almost sterilized!, good breakfast (EUR 12), free internet in room, free parking (YAAHH!), kids friendly and most of all, the staff is the BEST you can ever find - all this in a peaceful quiet neighborhood. This is MY kinda place for sure!

Excellent hotel!

Very nice hotel! Good price.
Was 23 minutes drive from central Barc, but that´s fine. Last time I stayed in the middle of Barc took over 30 mins to find a parking place.
Staff were very friendly, and helped giving me a map of centre.
Would def stay here next time.

Clean and functional hotel, good value unless you really need to be in Barcelona. Travelling in and out is not expensive but time consuming- so ok if you are not in a hurry and want to save some cash (especially good if there are two of you staying there).

You need to rent a car because its too far from the airport.

The Hotel was very nice regardless of the price! Free parking makes sense to rent a car.The distance however made it expensive to commute to the airport by taxi.too long to commute by public transportation!! It would be great if one was staying for a week or more and prefers to be far away from the tourist district where shopping is cheaper and food & dining is better at a resonable rate. You get to know more of the real Barcelona&its people.

nice hotel shame about the location

really enjoyed the brief stay at this hotel, nice friendly staff, hotel had a nice atmoshere and looked lovely. few problems:-we arrived late in th evening and after settling in went in search for something to eat however the service had finished for the evening and there was no way of ordering anything in externally, no coffee or tea making facilities in the room also meant that we were unable to have a hot drink upon arrival. hotel would best serve those away on business as it was far from the centre therefore nnot perfect for anyone on vacation

Good Hotel Far Outside of Barcelona

You need a rental car and detailed instructions to find this hotel. It´s 40 minutes north west of Barcelona in place called Cerdanyola del Valles (despite address said Barcelona but its far out there). The staff was really great and accomodating, internet was free, (courtesy 30min if someone is waiting). The restaurant food was delicious. Pool is fine, gym is okay, 2 racquetball courts. Says 4 star, but its more like a good three. There are no sites nearby cause it´s in an industrial area but I´d go back cause the price was great and staff really friendly.

This is a clean hotel with good

This is a clean hotel with good sized rooms. I stayed there with a friend in a double room. The hotel had free parking and internet access.

The biggest problem we had with the hotel is that it is 30km from Barcelona or 40min by a car. We could not tell that from the hotel description on this website so be aware of that important fact. If you are visiting Barcelona as a tourist then location of this hotel is probably not something that you would be after.
