I didn’t use the airport shuttle but a taxi was the same price $20 flat fee one way. Check in was easy and fairly quick. I was “lucky” to be assigned a deluxe room on the ground floor in the car park. Let’s face it, you’re only in your room to sleep so if you can sleep through the sounds of footsteps at your door late at night or early in the morning… complete bliss. I booked a standard room across the driveway for the next night (for day use before late night flight) and the difference to “deluxe” is negligible. Air conditioning worked well on both rooms. Hot water non-existent. Staff were friendly but not outstandingly so. Pool and grounds were nice and always clean. The beach was tidied up daily and a giant pile of rubbish and debris is piled 20ft high 60m to the north )yes I understand a cyclone had gone through there a few weeks before. I still wouldn’t swim immediately out front of hotel. The restaurant was decent, will recommend the chicken fettuccine, however I would steer clear of the pizzas… think reinforced cardboard crust(toppings so so). Breakfast of scrambled eggs, lots of bacon and a medium rare sausage with hashbrown and toast was good, as was coffee(plunger). It was not very busy and each restaurant visit I felt the need to go to the bar to order. Hotel wifi worked well in restaurant but was very spotty in room and far side of pool (a different connection in each). Regular mobile was restricted to 3G it seemed; plan accordingly. We had a lovely stay here at Aquarius on the beach. Nestled between two larger hotels this was perfect for me and my hubby for our 7 day stay. Although outdated it had access to our needs. We did so many activities, so it was nice to come back to our clean room and unwind.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful which I think this was the exceptional part. A huge thank you to them.

Overall Aquarius on the beach is an excellent budget hotel. I traveled with my 14yr old daughter, and stayed 7 nights. The pool was clean, the beach was lovely, the food was excellent and the staff were kind and helpful. We were there during a cyclone and felt safe the whole time.

Most rooms are above the restaurant/bar. Noisy. The balcony is bigger than the room. Bad water pressure. Tv is not Sat. Antenna!! The tv wasnt set up correctly. Then it would just drop and you had to pull a box out from behind the tv and twist it until it regained a signal. They wake you up every morning at 6am with sweeping, etc noises. Wifi was slow. You have to turn on most outlets/machines because of their thrift.

Not really a place for people with disabilities no hand rails in showers for safety and no shower chairs.

Friendly staff. Location was on the beach front, not too far from Nadi airport, the temple, sleeping giant, hotsprings and mud bath.
Room was basic, good for travellers or a couple of night's. Lack of hot water when showering.

The staff are indifferent and treat you more like a hindrance than anything else, I definitely do not recommend the restaurant the experience was so bad I can’t even be bothered re-living it. Neighbouring hotels looked so much better. Avoid.

Hadn't realised about the airport shuttle but our flight was late anyway and got a 20 FJ$ taxi. Although the hotel is near the airport as the crow flies its probably 4 or 5 miles by road

Definitely not a 3-star hotel, but good value for what it is.
Wi-fi is inconsistent.
Taxi from the airport is $25 Fijian; but the hotel shuttle is just $20 (the same if you take a taxi from the hotel strip back). Or catch the city bus (once an hour) if you aren't in a hurry for about $2.00.
Book the room online, not directly at the hotel: it's cheaper.
Can't drink the tap water. Buy bottled water at a grocery (there's one a block away) for half the cost of getting it from the hotel.

The room was ok, small. Slow shower took time to heat up the trickle that emerged. Staff were friendly. Just don't eat here. They should remove the Island Reef Fish from the menu. I doubt it's fish and it tasted like recooked cardboard.

Overall a good option for a few nights stay.. Good point close to the beach, nice pool, use free use of kayaks and a good restaurant that was reasonably priced. Con’s, not really suitable for families, we were the only family
Staying there, the majority were couples or single people. Room was quite basic, shower was low pressure and scalding hot at times. Staff were overall friendly but service in the restaurant was not the best. Overall this is a good value option for a few nights stay, but not a great family option. For families choose one of the resort options.

Was so excited to check in on our last day in fiji to spend few hours with friends which we won't be seeing for a while.
We did check in.. room number was 6 firstly we could hear all the conversations from the reception so loud.
Secondly no TV remote so we searched for it.. and saw big fat dust behind the TV which was really bad.
Thirdly when we called to ask if they had TV remote we could find in the room.. she said its here at the reception, when we said you should give remote while we check in she had no words to say. Hung up the line, came up with a rude face and saying who are all those people, i said its my mother who is staying at room 2 and 2 other people is my friend who came to visit us..
she replied back saying we don't allow visitors in the room you have to sit outside near the restaurant.. my question is we paid so much money to have a beautiful night with loved ones. Spend little bit of time not like they will be staying overnight.
So what i did is i checked out and went to NOVOTEL which had an amazing customer service with no issues at all.
Some people should really change their attitude towards hospitality and customer service and so you can make tourists happy. 🙏 VINAKA

Air conditioner and fridge in room were so noisy that they had to be turned off at night. Flyscreen was broken on second door and the slide track was broken. I asked staff for it to be repaired on two occasions but nothing was done. I ordered sunny side up fried eggs for breakfast and they were delivered to me dried and hard. Hotel is very run down and I would not stay here again. I asked about using the kayaks as I wanted to go for a paddle, only to be told that they were not available for guests use at the time. This was extremely disappointing as it was one of the main reasons I wanted to stay at this place. The beach was not clear, just brown and murky, so snorkelling was not an option either.

The name: \"Deluxe Room\" is a bit misleading as the room itself is quite tiny. Unfortunately, a prospective stayer may not be able to pre-determine this from the photos available online. Further to this, some of the staff could perhaps embrace the Fijian Spirit of wearing a smile. What I experienced during my check-in did not reflect what true Fijian hospitality stands for. While I Cannot speak about other rooms but the room we stayed in could do well with a boosted water supply pressure as there were times it was impossible to have a proper shower due to low/no water pressure. Mosquito population was thriving around the hotel, especially by the pool and beach area.

While it was a do-able hotel close to the beach and some cheap eats in the vicinity, by no means do I plan on coming back here. One may find better alternative options on the same strip of road.

We travel require and this accommodation was the worst we have ever come across, checked in around 8pm and our room was right next to the reception desk, I asked if this room was a quiet room as we wanted a relaxing holiday, we were told yes quiet room, heard reception staff arriving around 5.30am giggle and talking right outside of our room, the room itself would have been straight out of the 80’s, nowhere to store anything had our suitcases on the floor and there was nothing to even put you toothbrush in the bathroom, needless to say if you wanted a warm shower you would need to put the water in the sun for some time, really wasn’t a good start to our holiday, the bed must have been over 10 years old, not great for my back, no blanket provided had to ask for one, the tv came on randomly all hours of the night, was told to unplug at the PowerPoint. Reception staff were terribly rude and not friendly at all, very blunt like we were an inconvenience. The boat bar adverted on there site is no long in operation, this is also a cashless property, which would suit some tourists but we generally take cash with us so we can see what we are spending. And the wifi didn’t work most of the time. After spending a few nights we decided to move to a different venue. I would not recommend staying here, ever.

They are a budget hotel, located right on the beach with amazing customer service. A large bag of laundry cost $9 for them to do and they had it back to us in 4 hours. The meals were good and their pineapple smoothies were delicious.

This is the perfect hotel to stay in for a few days and take in the local atmosphere. I also recommend this hotel if you plan on spending most of your days outside or on adventures and excursions. The hotel was great for the people who like to be outside all day and crashing for a nice air conditioned cool sleep at night.
The staff is warm and welcoming at all times. They will help anyway they can with whatever questions you may have.

This hotel also has the best Kokodva / ceviche on the entire strip of hotel properties. Which I recommend you spend some time going to see what foods the other hotels/resorts have each comes with it’s on experience and take on cuisine and luxuries.
Things to note, the beds are firm and a bit older than some luxury ones you may experience.

The pool is cleaned daily for about an hour which is lovely but sometimes the pools dye will get on your skin/clothes. The rooms are also cleaned daily so make sure to move your cases out of the way so the staff can sweep away all the sand that tracks in with you.

If you are a dog person be prepared to also fall in love with the local beach dogs that will come and sleep outside the resort and just want to be around some company.

All in all we had a great time as a young couple experiencing Fiji for a few days as we jetted off to another spot. I would return to the Aquarius for the staff, the food, and the price for sure.

Right on the beach. Pleasant walking beach. The basic room is very basic. It was clean and adequate for a short stay. Staff are amazingly friendly, fun and a smile every day. The food is very good and of nice portions. Supermarket nearby, and other hotels for eating options.

This room should not be sold to guests.
Whole place needs a revamp. Receptionist needs to learn some customer service.

Unfortunately; we should have booked a larger room as we found our room a bit small. We will, definitely, use Aquarius in the future.
The staff are well trained and informed and are most helpful.
The only downside was the continuous loud music in the restaurant. So loud it was difficult to carry on a conversation. I, like many people my age have hearing problems and the loud music made it worse. I would suggest that they lower the volume to background and they may increase their restaurants patronage.
We will stay again on our next visit to Fiji

We had a room 2 metres across from the reception and the wall at the bed head had the bar on the other side of it. The noise stopped at about 10.30pm and started again at 5am when the staff arrived.
The room ideal for people with hearing aids.
Should never be let out.

It was my first stay there but I'm already looking into a return trip to the Aquarius on the Beach. Did I forget to include the prices of the rooms, food and libations were very reasonable?

It was a very simple room which was expected but shower and hot water were a bit of an issue and didn’t work intermittently for the first couple days, but ok thereafter. The staff were lovely. Due to checking out at 10 from another hotel, the person on reception at Aquarius welcomed us and looked after our luggage. I had to go into Nadi straight away and they provided transport for me. Meanwhile, the staff looked after my husband until our room was ready. Thank you.

Bed and sheets (blanket) could be upgraded. Towels were soft and fluffy. Water pressure (hot) was on the low side, but thankfully the weather called for a cooler shower! Steps away from the beach and ocean were the primary draw and it didn’t disappoint, without having to pay high $$ ! Perfect 1-2 night stay!

\"Aquarius on the Beach\" is a well-run hotel with friendly staff and in a good location. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious and very pleasant. I had a comfortable stay. Something that would improve the room is if the curtains were thicker or were black-out curtains, as there was a lot of light coming in from outside due to the location and other guests'porch lights.
