No bar fridge, no tv, roaches in bathroom. Noise from local club across the road, room was not serviced once during our stay. However most of the staff were helpful enough. Stairs uneven, be careful if you have bad knees or are clumsy. Was in the centre of town but that would be the only selling point

This is our favorite local hotel in Nadi. We first stayed a couple years ago for about a week. We had spent a month in Nadi trying different hotels, with many being horrible and dirty. But this one is very clean and the staff is great. This year we had a one night layover in Nadi and chose this hotel because we knew it was clean and well operated. And we are happy we did. It was a very clean room, they offered us dinner when we arrived late and breakfast the next morning, and they arranged a taxi for our early flight out. The taxi ride from the airport is $25 FJD, well worth it for a clean and comfortable stay. We will stay again for our next layover and are happy to recommend it.

This was most certainly the worst property I have ever stayed in and I’ve been a frequent traveller. I would go as far to say I would not send prisoners here. I specifically booked this accommodation as it advertised WiFi in the room. We arrived and there was no WiFi in the room at all. The manager assured me this would be fixed for the next day. This did not happen. I raised the issue the next day again and the woman who I spoke to Suzanna was the rudest person I have ever spoken to in my whole life. She was simply mean, unhelpful, rude, and aggressive. I informed Expedia of the problem I was having with the hotel, they were very helpful and rang the accommodation to which suzanna told them that they have gave us a discount for our trouble and she would sort the WiFi. We waited hours and she never came so my partner went back down to speak to her. She said Expedia lied and she never told them she would help us. She said why would she help us it’s not her problem that we can’t get WiFi in the room. She proceeded to shout at my partner as we wasn’t happy with this solution. It was exceptionally hostile, she should not be working in customer service. This property had a reputation. When people in the town asked where we was staying they would follow our response with a Ooo and a face of disgust. Please do yourself a favour and avoid this place like the plague.

The hotel is quite a way out of Nadi town. There is a bus, but it is infrequent, so a taxi is necessary. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance, as is the beach which is small but nice enough. The hotel itself is tired and in need of some repair. If you want luxury, this is not the place for you, but it was certainly not bad, and we had a pleasant stay. We enjoyed the balcony and swimming pool. The noise of planes (it is very close to the airport runway) could be a problem, but we found it quite exciting to see them flying in so close. Breakfast was basic fare - toast, porridge, beans, but the staff were friendly and we had plenty to eat. We didn't eat any other meals at the hotel, so can't comment on the dishes or service. All in all it was a good stay, though perhaps a bit overpriced for what was actually offered.

Staff are nice. Cleaners start very early - about 6.30am.
Centralised hot water is supposed to be switched on between 5am to 11am and 5pm to 11pm depending on the weather; I've had to get them switched on at 6,30pm on several occasions.

As the bathroom didn't have any windows, the bathroom exhaust needs to be fixed to extract steam and avoid mould and also prevent the chipboard shelving from going cacky from moisture swelling. Bath towel was clean but had holes and sheets were threadbare. Expect the odd cockroach to appear in the room.

Breakfast consists of sliced bread which the guest can toast themselves, a dob of margarine and a dob of jam, coffee & tea and milk; a juice of some type (didn't look like from natural oranges) and (this time) unripe green bananas.
I found the nightly tariff very high for what was offered; probably due to the lack of competition as it is the only offering in Nadi cbd.
Scheduled drop off time to the airport has been changed from 1pm to 2pm, even though all correspondence states 1pm. Because this new time didn't work for me, the owner personally took me to the bus station and provided the transport fare to the airport.

Pick up from the airport is prompt and very good with timing.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the location is very central in Nadi town.
Initially I was allocated room 214 which is located directly above the main staircase and whose window opens to that inside staircase. The bathroom had no windows.The noise from the footsteps, conversations, office conversation etc is magnified and echos up and in. The room also smelled like a blocked drain. After expressing my concerns, the helpful staff moved me to a more pleasant room.
I would describe the general accommodation as - Chunking Mansions in 1990s condition. The definition of \"Deluxe\", \"Superior\" etc, is very imaginative.

Hot water is supposed to be switched on between 5am to 11am and 5pm to 11pm depending on the weather.

Hot showers and free transportation to the airport were not necessarily convenient as far as times available. WiFi was only available in the lobby also not convenient. The room was classified as “ Delux” but it didn’t have the basic things. The room was dirty, the bed didn’t have a mattress cover, just a white sheet on the bed which was smelly.
There was no cupboard or drawer for clothes, no ironing board available when we requested for one, the bathroom didn’t have any soap holder, there was no hook to even hang your towel whilst having shower. Overall the accommodation I was pathetic.
For the same price we stayed in Tokatoka Resort and that place was fantastic. If there is any doubts about my comments, please go and check out “Room 216”

Good for the price

You get what you pay for.
This is definitely not a 5-star resort, but it did the job for a one night while waiting for my trip back home after 10 days in Honiara. The place needs improvements, but for the cost, you can't really ask for more. Something it did surprised me was that, opposed to what many comments mentioned, the wi-fi was great, with some minor disruptions, even in my room in the third floor. I would not venture to go out at night in the vicinity, but during the day you are right in town, which allowed me to do some shopping before going to the airport.
To my surprise, I was greeted by a driver at the airport without even contacting the hotel. the shuttle was free and I was taken back to the airport the next day for FJ$20 (about USD$10) in a matter of minutes.
Not a place for vacations, but good for what I needed and higher standard compared with other places that I have been in the South Pacific.

Positives: the staff were helpful; catch a taxi easily; close to buses; free airport shuttle; free breakfast not bad if you like toast and fruit (i enjoyed it); fridge in room.

Negatives: the room smelled a bit; the shower head was in need of repair; only 2 fuzzy channels on tiny TV; rules a bit excessive; area didn't appear very safe, but not horrible.

Our first impression was disappointing because we waited 1h 30 min at the airport for the shuttle and shattered we got taxi. They refunded then taxi fee. Able to get a very good cooked dinner at 23:00! Noisy at night and sheets and bathroom not clean but beds comfortable and breakfast ok. It was cheap so cannot really complain!

It's very handy for those who want to see Nadi from a local perspective and don't want to pay hundreds to stay at Denaru Island.

The staff were helpful, friendly and competent.

For AUD61 a night, you're not going to get 5-Star.

Plenty of inexpensive eateries in the area.

You can feel safe walking back to the hotel after dark.

Will to provide great service does NOT cut it!

Great staff, willing to help but helpless. I had to change my room due to inadequate room facilities. Generally noisy but completely unable to sleep the night of 09/04/2017 due to construction noise all night. I was so sleepy but unable to sleep and knocked my head into a light fixture breaking the glass cover. The hotel made me pay $50 compensation but did not provide any compensation in return for my sleep deprivation and the injury to my head. This was a direct result of hotel not being able to provide a peaceful and quiet environment for me to have a restful sleep. The glass cover would not have been broken if I was allowed to sleep the night instead of running up and down to the reception trying to stop the noise. The management was unfair in claiming the damage bill from me and not taking any responsibility for being part of the problem by not providing the very service that I had paid for (sleeping at the hotel) otherwise there is no other facilities that could be enjoyed.
Secondly the amenities listed on the website is ambiguous for example it says that the room comes with free internet, free shuttle and free breakfast. My shuttle driver did not have my details hence I had to wander around for 40 minutes before I found the driver and he clearly said that he was not informed about me. Free Internet is only available in the Bar area and for internet in the room you are required to pay on an hourly basis. Breakfast - bread/butter/jam/tea/coffee/lousy fruit with a toaster

The hotel was ok, there was a notice on the door in the room saying no alcohol in rooms and no noise, there is a club opposite blasting music out all night. The free breakfast is toast, tea, coffee and orange juice that's it. The TV in rooms has 2 English channels watched a lot of kids programs lol. We stayed for 3 nights then went to the coast for 4 nights then to the islands, I asked about staying are last couple of nights so we were near the airport and the bar we liked and would it be better to book with them for a better price than if we booked through hotels.com. They wanted $95 a night, so I would say if you want to stay there use hotels.com as it's cheaper and you get your rewards as well.

Not what you expect from the photos, obviously they were taken a long time ago. Very old rooms, bed was comfortable, we had a family room that was supposed to sleep five, that meant three thin single matresses on the floor. No free internet even though they say there is on there website. It is centrally located. If you are after a cheap place to stay, you found it.

Hotel is in a state of semi-renovation, with cracking in the wall. Room is spacious and overall tidy. Bar across the street creates a lot of noise until about midnight. Breakfast options are very 'light' and airport transfers were advertised at 5am and 1pm (not sure if they're available at all times. All in all you get what you pay for.

Really Friendly Staff & Right in Town

The hotel has a really friendly, helpful staff. They make you feel very, very welcome.

The hotel is currently being renovated and the newer rooms are more comfortable of course. Still for this price (especially since they have such a central location, right in the center of Nadi) they deliver good value. The free airport transfer is a big plus.

Be sure to check with Chandar Prakash -- he handles their travel arrangements and can help you with the next step in your journey. I plan on staying here again when I pass back through Nadi on my way home.

Downtown Nadi is really in the unsafe part of town

Opposite a noisy night club and night staff who shout in the corridors, I had 7 nights of broken sleep, only woken by the cold shower each morning.
False and misleading advertising and aggressive tour sales staff made for an uncomfortable stay, food was bland and overpriced compared with outside, you pay extra for a safe, to store your luggage, Wi-Fi,ect, if they can charge they will, asked $50 FJD to do one bag of Laundry, then went down to $10 FJD, came back damp and crumpled in bag?
It was all about how much extra money could the management of this hotel get out of the Tourist.
You get what you pay for.
Only stay here if you want a once in a lifetime experience !!!

Nice staff, but not a nice area or hotel

The staff were so friendly and helpful, but unfortunately that was all that was good about it.
The room was a decent size, but the bed was uncomfortable and way too low to the ground, the mini fridge was filthy, and the bathroom was dank and obviously leaked from the shower and sink. It was unclean also. The area was unsafe and i would definitely not recommend anyone stay there alone, let alone otherwise.
When i arrived, they were unorganised, didn't even know what room i had booked or that i had already paid. I left as soon as possible as i did not feel safe or comfortable at all.

Officially my 'worst hotel stay ever'

First, the listing is wrong - the photos for the standard/deluxe rooms are actually of the superior room. Told on check-in that there is no a/c in my room, so I paid $20 to upgrade.. to one in which the a/c didn't work. Contacted staff who couldn't fix it. Found a tick in my bed. You know the kind of critter that usually sits on flea-infested fiji dogs? Yeah one of them..in my bed. Then I realised my room was falsely advertised (with superior room pictures) and complained, requested a refund. Manager was n/a so instead I was moved to superior room. Staff provided good service but only so much they can do. Would have left it there with two stars, but wait.. The PLEASE BE QUIET signs everywhere really mean THIS HOTEL IS OBSCENELY NOISY. NO soundproofing in the rooms. Late at night an announcer nearby was talking on a microphone. After finally sleeping around 12am I woke up at 230 to a radio. Nope... it was just the couple next door, in bed, talking to each other in Hindi. Not loudly, but I could hear every word like I was in bed with them. NO SOUNDPROOFING WHATSOEVER in the rooms. Walls are made of concrete but has tiled floor and hollow adjoining door etc. For $100/night room, was disappointed in other features. Security light outside shines under door; if you are light sleeper it will keep you awake. Plus water in shower is cold.
For $100/night this is not OK. For a little more I could have stayed at Mercure or similar.

This was an over night stay only

Would not recommend staying at Downtown Nadi Hotel, we only had two over night stays here one night before our destination and on the way back.
Most of the rooms Air Conditioners are not working, very old and dated rooms which smelt of musty odour when you walked in.
Would suggest paying a little more to get nicer accommodation.
