We stayed in the Waitui Club adult only part of the resort and let me tell you sitting by the pool having drinks and canapés brought to you every hour doesn’t get old. The staff are what makes the Sofitel special, everyone of them was helpful, pleasant and happy, being greeted with a “bula” everywhere we went was lovely. The food was top notch , the room was spotless every single day , there was an army of staff constantly keeping the place in great shape. A mini bar that was included in the price was appreciated when coming in from the heat and having a cold beer. I would highly recommend the Sofitel, especially the adults side which is a calm oasis compared to the family side. 5 Stars.

Very poor service,the air conditioning was not working amd we were only told about the check in was done ....and told will provide fan but wasnt provided.we asked for our refund so we can move to some othe hotel which was approved but till date we haven't received our received....i already called the hotel for follow up but no reply

The Waitui Beach Club Plus rooms are well worth the upgrade – every staff member went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing holiday (special shout-outs to Romeo, Mary, Sky and Elenoea from Waitui, as well as Fiu from the housekeeping team) and all the extra inclusions were fantastic. While there was a problem with the resort's air-conditioning system during our stay, we were provided with a fan to make the humid nights more bareable and it did not ruin our holiday at all.

We had an incredible stay at the Sofitel. We had a family room which was clean and quiet and had a view of the ocean. Staff were lovely and so helpful, always very friendly. Pool and amenities were also perfect, the pool was so clean and so many empty chairs to choose from.
We had a small issue with our air conditioner breaking one night and they moved us to a new room immediately, they made everything so easy. Highly recommend, perfect for families.

Another great stay at the Sofitel, now our third. The staff are amazing, and the service is excellent. The housekeeping was not as good as previous stays, with our room not being cleaned until very late in the day on many days, and on another day, towels were not replaced when taken, etc. However, it did not impact our overall stay.

Staff were good. Room was clean but unfortunately the Aircon wasn't working properly and the room wasn't cool. We complained and they said the AC Chiller was broken in our block. So they gave us a pedestal fan to help. Have stayed at Sofitel Resort Fiji a few times but unfortunately the first time with AC Issues. Also there is a new hotels being built next door so it was noisy in the morning. Even at the Spa you can hear yhe construction noise.

Amazing stay at Sofitel Fiji a resort and Spa! Staff greeted us all day with cheerful “Bula” and “Vinaka.” A big thank you to Chris for his hospitality and guidance on nearby attractions, and to Chefs Dutt, Kalidas, and Savitri for making vegetarian dining so easy and special. Gorgeous views, beach access, and great facilities. Loved the nightly cookies with room service. Truly a memorable experience! Highly recommended

Food is typical Fiji, bland and not particularly interesting. Breakfast got abit repetitive after just 3 nights, I can't imagine staying longer.

The pool, slide and inflatable obstacle is great. Kids had hours of fun there.

The hotel however needs to review its policies as they do not fit what I expect a Sofitel level of brand should provide. These are all minor on their own but together, they nickel and dime alot of things that make the experience less of a premium resort.
1) kids club is $30FJD per 3 hr slot. Meals are not provided. For this hotel's price point I would expect kids club to be included.
2) not enough activiites. i understand some activites you need to charge a fee but the free included kids activites are fairly lame. Some of the adult activites looked good, e.g. cocktail class, rum tasting class, but its limited to 10pax per day. For such a large resort they could run multiple sessions. It was mostly booked out by morning of the activity. The fitness classes looked good, pilates, boxfit, walking. 3 nights was enough as there was little to do at the resort.
3) there is a pillow menu as you would expect at a premium resort. But never have i had to pay a deposit for a

Disappointing stay due to construction, room issues & poor service

Unfortunately, our stay at Sofitel Fiji fell well short of expectations.

There were significant construction works taking place directly next door, with no prior consultation, warning, or apology from the hotel. I strongly recommend requesting not to be placed near Block 1, as this is where the disruption was most severe. A previous Accor property in Australia offered perks as a compensation for the disruption.

My sister and I were reunited on this trip (she’s live in UK) and had requested to be placed in rooms near each other. While her room (329) was very nice, this request was not honoured and I was placed in Room 202, directly beside the construction site. This room had a strong mouldy smell and damp flooring, which we initially thought was from cleaning. However, when we returned later that evening, moisture had spread to the furniture, bed, and even our suitcases.

When I reported this, a maid came to mop the room and suggested it was due to our use of the air conditioning, despite the unit clearly displaying a fault warning and we had not been in all day. The following morning, I raised the issue again along with the construction noise and was moved only five doors down, still in Block 1 and still not near my sister.

The new room (207) had its own issue: the main room lighting popped and sparked, which I reported as a potential electrical safety hazard.

Fabulous in so many ways! The facilities were impeccable, spacious, tastefully decorated, beautiful pool area. The grounds were manicured and lush with tropical plants and flowers everywhere. The food was outstanding (yes expensive), 5 star buffet with so much variety and our meal at Solis was one of the yummiest we’ve ever eaten. The staff were everywhere doing jobs all day long, always greeting you with a friendly ‘BULA!’. Hard to fault!

We also had no obvious way to visit the adults only area which was substantially quieter. I felt this should have been noted when reserving the room.

All excellent. Staff does need to add ice packs for severe edema incidents for guests coming off flights. (11 hr flight, both legs- extreme swelling, staff graciously and promptly made ice packs with plastic gloves. Subsided by day 2. Had a great time. TY .
Store should also offer nude compression socks for these incidents...:))

We stayed in the Waitui rooms. Our room had a lovely view onto the gardens and beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The minibar was re-stocked every day and it was easy to 'trade' any items at the trade shop each day. We enjoyed the drinks and canapes each day. The pool area is beautiful, we wish we could have stayed longer!

Mixed emotions. Overall our stay was good. The pool was great and the inflatables and the addition of the slides was very popular with our kids. Stand out were the many options for dining giving us plenty of variety while we were there. Housekeeping was also very thorough and everything felt very clean. Kids Club was great and the in-house spa was incredible.

Most of the staff were amazing and personable however we did have some issues including with a particularly rude staff member in the cafe which soured our experience unfortunately. There was also a mix-up at one of the restaurants, forcing us to squeeze 4 people onto a table for 2. And on another day, housekeeping did not service our room until after 4:30pm. While they did take the time to listen to our complaints, management were very slow to act and didn't provide any consolation until we escalated the issue and demanded a course of action.

This was our third time in Fiji but our first time at the Sofitel. Our two previous stays at the Sheraton were without any issues or complaints. The Sheraton seem to be a little more onto it and their resort is just a touch more opulent with more retail shops and facilities.

Not sure if we'd stay here again. Will probably go back to the Sheraton (or try the new Sofitel that's being built next door...)

We enjoyed our time at Sofitel. It is a beautiful resort, the restaurant are excellent. We loved dining at Koko’s. The food there was absolutely amazing, and the cocktails were the best!! My only disappointment was, if you have a late flight they allow you to continue to use the pool area, which is great…but they don’t have a place where you can get cleaned up after you’ve checked out. The construction noise is a little loud too. Once that is done I’m sure it will be amazing! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Overall would recommend this hotel.

Wonderful stay with my daughter. We had everything we needed, Restaurants, service and grounds were amazing. My only criticism from a personal choice was the mattress which I found to be hard and it had a hump running down the centre. I found it a bit uncomfortable during our 7 night stay. I did go to the in-house pillow shop to borrow pillows to make my sleep a bit more comfortable. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay.
If you don’t have children I would suggest you stay in the adults only area of resort as it can get a bit hectic with the children around the pool in the main area. We spent most of our time in the cabanas on the beach which we found to be more pleasant and quiet.

This was our best vacation ever, and it's all thanks to the unforgettable service!!
The adult-only section was incredibly generous and indulgent, and the food was a highlight—the best of the five restaurants at the resort.

But what truly made our trip was the outstanding staff. They are the warmest, kindest people I have ever met. We felt so welcomed and spent our days hugging, dancing, and laughing with them. A huge thank you to Noa, Sky, Lily, Siti, Tia, and Samu at the front gate, and to the entire team who made our vacation so much better!!

The clean rooms, comfortable beds, and amazing pool with the best happy hour were all top-notch, and we can't wait to come back!

Great experience. Super friendly staffs, great breakfast, and comfortbale room. One thing worths to mention is its pillow program. Do ask staff about it. However, the sound insulation in the room is not good. It was pretty noisy at night when people talking and walking by the door. The only disappointment for me was missing Koko Fijian restaurant where is closed on Sunday and Tueday not Sunday and Monday.
