Great hotel; new and modern. I had a nice room overlooking the water. There is a lot of music in the area, so if you want quiet this is not the place. Music at breakfast, music at night. Next door has music, down the beach a bit more music. I managed at night by closing all the windows and using white noise. Breakfast was good, and included in my stay. Variety of other restaurants and cafes in the area.

Overall, a good place to base, and much cheaper than staying Denarau Island.

Free airport transportation or you can actually just walk across the street
We chose to get a room and split it 3 ways so we could shower and rest

This hotel has lovely grounds and is perfect for a transit night near the airport. I recommend requesting a room on the far side away from Queens Rd. Our room was on the airport/ Queens Road side, and it was so loud with airport noises that we couldn’t sleep… so many beeps, all night long. That said, it was clean and comfortable.

It was convenient to the airport. The hotel staff was great. Always trying to accommodate you.

However the shortfall was the restaurant. You only had the choice of Buffett for breakfast nothing quick like a muffin to go with the coffee bar.

The dinner was haphazard. The first night the fish and chips were served cold The second night the food was not so good. And the staff kept disappearing. Never came back to see if we needed anything else. Takes a long time to eat and get the ticket to pay. As we asked the. To separate the two couples tab and it was done incorrectly.

This restaurant is the only game in town so you have to get a taxi or go to the airport to get something different.

The hotel room was great - after arriving early on a Fiji Airlines flight at 6am, we were able to get a room by 8am. Very helpful when you are tired from a long flight. The restaurant was a disappointment. Extremely slow service, food cold on arrival at the table, billing for dinner was incorrect and we never could get it straight with the staff. I highly recommend finding somewhere else to eat.

we stayed for 7 nights in a poolside room as a pre winter quick break. we had a great stay and travelled to different activities most days. we always find the staff to be very friendly and the food is not over priced like many Fiji resorts. there is on beach handy but the pool is really good for swimming and lazing around. The price of the holiday at the Gateway Hotel is very good compared to some of the other resorts that are not waterfront also. another thing we like is you can either take the free shuttle van provided from the airport or it is just a 5 minute walk.
Once again thank you to the Fiji Gateway Hotel for another great short break.

Tidy and comfortable room with great location across from the airport. A lovely stop to break up the trip home with hospitable and friendly staff. Was a bit cooler to use the pool and looked like it would be a lot of fun on a warm day.
Restaurant food was okay - Raffles Dream was a delicious final cocktail on our trip.

Wow, what a beautiful spot for our first night in Fiji. From the moment the shuttle bus arrived at the airport we felt right at home! The staff are beautiful and the resort is so well maintained with the most gorgeous gardens. The restaurant has such a great menu with beautiful staff.
We loved the pool and the waterslide was a bonus. We only needed to stay one night but we definitely could have stayed plenty more!

Only good for overnight stays as opposite the airport. But more expensive than other hotels past the airport. Good pool but lacking seating. Gets taken quite fast. Restaurant service was painfully slow. Got my food after an hour wait. Not very energy efficient as all rooms have aircon going with the louvers windows open next to the front door. What a waste of energy. Room was ok with good amenities. Would I stay again yes but only overnight. My other hotel on the main road was far better and cheaper.

Great and convenient hotel if you are in transit through Nadi. My only challenge was with an upper floor room and a 27 kg suitcase - and no elevator. One of the team helped me up with the bag at check-in but getting downstairs at 5.30 am was a challenge. Otherwise great short transit stay as always.

We were looking for a hotel with close proximity to Nadi Airport but we got so much more. An exceptionally clean hotel with great water facilities for kids, good restaurant food and cocktails. Rooms also well appointed. Great value for money not to mention the free shuttle service to the airport.

We stayed here for one night before our last day in Fiji! The hotel is walkable to the airport but has a shuttle service which is extremely convenient. As our flight wasn’t until the night time, we were able to store our bags while exploring Nadi. When we returned, the hotel provided beach towel and we were able to use the pool showers to clean up and get ready for our flight.

Our only complaint was that upon arrival, the whole area smelled of smoke and our room like that of cigarettes. When we notified staff, they were quick to remedy the situation with sprays which did help.

We stayed in a small Queen Room for a night when flying in before heading to the Yasawa Islands and a night after our return from the Yasawa Islands. It was convenient, provided all the amenities and facilities needed for a night. There was a musty smell in the first room which seemed like the room had not been utlised in a while. The bar and dining offered popular local and international food and drinks. The slide and pool were superb as stated by my partner and we were very appreciative the Staff at Reception could keep some of our luggage which we did not want to cart through to the islands on boats. The singers at night were good and obliged my request to sing Happy Birthday to my partner. All in all a good stay.

Convenient & good location & nice staff BUT...there were cockroaches in my room.

I did really appreciate being able to walk across the street from the airport for this hotel. The staff clearly do their best to make a welcoming environment. People were there immediately to help bring my bags upstairs (without an elevator!) and the staff at the restaurant were also very nice. I found the food at the restaurant solid--I only had a salad and it was fresh and lightly dressed (the way I like).

The room (Small Queen) was definitely \"small\"--I kept knocking the toilet paper off the holder because it was so close to the toilet. I couldn't even find the shower at first, until I realized it was tucked into a tiny stall behind the bathroom door. My view was of a parking lot and a wall with a bunch of air conditioning units. Not scenic, but this is to be expected right next to the airport.

The room was actually very clean, but I was disappointed to find small cockroaches crawling all over the table when I woke up in the morning. I hadn't left any food out or anything, and I know we're in a humid and tropical place, but I think more pest control could be done (I really hate cockroaches and it somewhat spoiled my stay--I couldn't wait to leave the room & I was glad I only stayed one night).

The Fijiian singers in the lobby were a little too loud for me, too--I was glad I paid extra ($15FJD) for in-room wifi so I could have some quiet after a long travel day.

A very comfortable and convenient hotel. Although the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to the airport, walking might actually be more convenient. We had two pieces of luggage, and following the hotel's directions, it took us about five minutes on foot to get there. There were no slopes or steps along the way — very easy. And the hotel itself felt very comfortable as well.

Nice property to stay at and conveniently located across from.the airport. Room was clean and spacious. TV reception a little bit spotty and not many channels to choose from. Property is well maintained and staff are friendly. Special shout out to the front desk staff who were excellent!
Pool is nice and clean but not enough facilities (loungers etc) for the number of guests.
Restaurant has a good selection of food to choose from but at times the wait staff were a little chaotic in their service.
Would stay again - reasonably good value for money.

The gateway is an absolute gem , I was extremely surprised.
We chose a superior room , and that’s exactly what we got , a brand new beautiful room .
The grounds are lovely, we didn’t use the pool but plenty did , it is quite small though .
It is literally across the road from Nadi airport which is useful.
We stayed here for 2 nights at the start and end of our holiday .
I don’t think I would want to stay there longer than a couple of nights .
The breakfast isn’t that great .
The staff are amazing though .

My husband and I stayed one night here in May. We had a lovely King room which was quiet, clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The TV reception quality was not so great. As always, the pool is excellent but there are not enough seating options around the area, it could do with more loungers. The staff wete exceptionally helpful.

Friendly, helpful staff. Hotel in great location (walkable) for airport and very well maintained and cleaned. Room (deluxe king) was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. Food is restaurant was good although the bar cocktails were a bit weak. Maybe could do with more sun loungers, chairs around pool. Hotel is a great base for exploring NE of the island, around Nadi. Would not hesitate to return.

The room was pretty basic and clean, but the property felt old and tired. While I didn't see any bugs, it kind of had the feeling of a roach hotel, so I slept with the lights on. I paid for in-room Wi-Fi, but it didn't work 95% of the time. Service in the dining room was very, very slow. On the bright side, it was very convenient to the airport, within walking distance, but with a free shuttle that drops off / picks up at the terminal. I woke up at 3am and found that the running water had been shut off, but it was back on by 4am, in time for a nice hot shower.

Dysfunctional management. So manny issues too many to list, at my stay- it affected sleep. Restaurant food is bad. Frozen fish used etc.
There are much better places to stay. Lots of bugs and no weather strips at doors to rooms so roaches etc can get in your room or also through louver windows in bathroom.
If you get free Internet etc through your phone carrier it won’t work in room and they charge you for Internet whereas other give it for free.
I stayed 6 days at a different place in Fiji and it was excellent at this other hotel and I booked this hotel for a layover transiting and got no sleep.

All was great but our door key fob was expiring every day and we would go to front reception to address On our 3rd day come to find per the receptionist that the person who checked us in ran it on a day basis instead our entire stay This was a little hassle and the Management should train their employees throughly while checking in their guests.

Nice restaurant for meals. Stayed two nights at the end of our vacation to Fiji. Very accommodating as our flight did not leave until 10 pm. and they welcomed us to store our bags and let us enjoy the pool and facilities while we waited for our complimentary shuttle bto the very nearby airport. Would recommend to others for a transit stay.

Our room was modern, the bed was firm and so comfortable, our room was made up each day and fridge was restocked with waters and milk. Staff were amazing! Just needed a microwave in the family rooms and be allowed to enjoy our food bought from outside, somewhere on the many hotel tables/chairs (eg. by the poolside watching the kids).

If you land in Nandi and are moving onto another part of Fiji the next day this is the place to stay the shuttle is only a short wait and taken less than 5 minutes to the hotel.
Unwind is the well kept gardens and pool area with a drink in hand.

Suggest getting a ground level unit - no lifts
Very disappointed that when ordering my meal everything came out of the kitchen at the same time. The main was taken back and left under a heat lamp - didn’t bother eating it.
I don’t think the premium you pay to be at Gateway compared to other very close by hotels is value for money
