The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained with great views of the mountains and the sleeping giant. The hotel is close to the city center and only 10 minutes or so from the airport. However, be careful with the so-called official taxi-drivers. They refuse anyone with credit cards and will try to rob you blind if you ask to use foreign currency, quoting a rate at least twice as much as normal. The good news is that I found out there are Uber operators that quote a fair price at the going rate. The one I used, Nathan, was wonderful- friendly, helpful, and professional, like the Novotel Hotel Nadi staff. The hotel is definitely worth a stay.

I stayed at Novotel Nadi and was disappointed with the standard room. The bathroom was poorly maintained and the beds were very old and uncomfortable, clearly needing replacement. Ironically, the landscaping around the property is far better maintained than the standard rooms, which highlights where attention is lacking.

The front desk receptionist was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. However, dinner service was very poor. We waited about 15 minutes to be greeted and seated even though the restaurant was not busy. After ordering, we waited close to 40 minutes with no food and no drinks served, despite having ordered drinks. Customers should not be left sitting that long without either food or drinks, especially during dinner service when the restaurant was clearly manageable.

The location is excellent and very close to Nadi Airport, making it convenient for late arrivals or early departures, but overall the room condition and restaurant service need serious improvement.

Facilities are old. Room with stale smell and damp. AC/bathroom ventilation Fans are loud, but you have to keep them on, so sleep is greatly disturbed.

I checked into Novotel Nadi on the evening of Thursday 18/12 this was my second stay with them for the week as I was overnighting on my way out of the country.

At Reception I was met by a lovely lady (Named Loata) who promptly and professionally checked me in.

I had a different room than the stay I had the week before and It was in a bit better condition, AC worked better as well as the ceiling fan.

I went for dinner and had the NZ T-bone steak, which was okay possibly a little overcooked or had been in the freezer a tad long but was still not the worst.
The staff were friendly and professional.

On check out the next morning, the staff were prompt and quickly found a taxi for me to get to the airport.

Overall my stay was short but Novotel Nadi was able to accommodate my needs.

I hope to return to Fiji again next September or October (26) and will include a couple of nights back at Novotel Nadi

The property: It’s showing its age, the rooms balcony screen door was broken wasn’t easy to open. The sliding door needs upgrading-very old. Our room main entrance the tile area is very old.

Staff: Friendly and welcoming. However, one night our family was sitting at the bar and this fijian lady staff served fijian customers nicely-smiling. But when I asked her for dessert menu she was grumpy, rude and just walked away and had no smile on her face. She was not happy to serve us except her nationality guests only. I understand working in hospitality industry can be difficult at times but other staffs who may have had a long day but they still went out off their way to cater us! The indian guy at the egg station was the same, he was grumpy at all times, when I asked him few things from the menu - it seemed like he didn’t enjoyed his job, was very grumpy, had no smile on face and didn’t communicate at all. Made me feel like he was in a wrong industry!

Breakfast: It’s average, it took them a while to restock food after it run out. Not much options, utensils and trays were old too. Some of the food had no seasoning and salt at all-which made it taste less. I think having more options for breakfast would be better.

Cleanliness: When we walked into our it had a very bad odour as if the room was closed for a very long time. We stayed having allergy issues. The room was no cleaned well enough, the room bed side tables had dusts, the tv cabinet had dust that was very visible.

Novotel Nadi, was a good choice for me as I was just overnighting on my way out to the Islands.

At the check in I was meet by a lovely and professional woman who checked me in promptly and gave me a good rundown of the facilities.

The hotel room is a little tired but looked to have had a soft makeover at some point in the past with a good TV and new lamps.

Dinner was served pretty quickly for a South Pacific hotel with a very nice local dish of Kakoda and followed up with a club sandwich with fries.

The Bed in the room was comfortable, but the Aircon struggled, and the fan only had one speed and that was slow. Hopefully management can look at that at some point.

Overall the hotel has some problems yes, but I found that the staff made up for the hotels shortcomings

Would rate it a High 3.5 stars

I’ve never left a hotel review, but felt compelled after this experience.

Positives: the staff here are truly warm and welcoming. Their friendliness is the highlight of this property.

Unfortunately, the condition of the rooms does not reflect the quality of the staff.
-The rooms are in desperate need of updating. Cracks in the bathroom sink and floor made the space look and feel dirty.
-Ants were in the bathroom upon arrival. At first it seemed minor, but second night, they were on my bed. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to “look” at the issue, I finally requested and received a new room.
-The second room had a better TV, showing that not all rooms are equal, but it lacked a luggage rack (bolted to the wall). Unfortunately, I woke up to a large roach near my bag the next morning.
-Mold in the shower triggered a mild asthma attack.
-More bugs appeared on my bed and nightstand the final night.
-I also found loose hair on the bedding (not mine).
-Breakfast could have been good, but everything was cold despite being in hot pans.
-Towels were consistently an issue, with waits ranging from 15 minutes to an hour.

Expedia gave a small credit and tried to get a refund from the hotel, but stopped after 24 hours.

Overall, while the price may be lower than other options, the discomfort, bugs, and lack of cleanliness made the stay unpleasant. If you’re used to clean, comfortable accommodations, I would not recommend this property—the low cost simply isn’t worth it.

Check in to the hotel was smooth and relatively quick.... everything went downhill from there. I was told to get get pool towels from the front desk - after requesting multiple times over the course of 3 hours by walking to the front desk and being told towels would be delivered... finally towels arrived. staff suggested that I use the towels from our room.
Next up - restaurant service... Limited menu selection was disappointing. The menu from lunch to dinner was basically the same. I ordered lunch to be delivered poolside. My colleague and I ordered at the same time - while her meal was delivered in reasonable time.... Upon she finished her lunch, mine had still not been delivered. I had to go back to the restaurant and chase down my lunch. Then came dinner time.... As we had a flight to catch, i figured 1.5 hours was sufficient to sit, order and eat our dinner and leave for the airport. After seating ourselves, and waiting 15 minutes to be noticed by the staff... finally went to the bar and told them we were ready to order. Server came: we ordered our drinks and meals immediately. Approx. 30 minutes later the server can to tell us that the dish we ordered was no longer available and the choose something else. Why were we not made aware of this at the time, or within minutes of ordering? And finally, checking out of the hotel we asked about the taxi service we booked at check-in, earlier that day, we found out had NOT been booked. Had to wait additional time for!

Our room was little older but clean, with lovely bed and nice outlook. In-house day spa and masseuse was a very nice suprise.

Late checkout was good, but then relaxing by the pool then massage while waiting for flights was even better.

Dinner at the restaurant was inedible. I ordered the poke. Every item was cold, including the brown color yellowtail. I ordered the French fries after taking a few bites of the poke. However, the fries were soggy and dripping with oil. I gave up and had some mints that were in my carry-on luggage

We would firstly like to extend our Thanks to Mr Sevoki (Reception Manager) who took the time out to come and talk to us about our check in debacle caused by the reception staff during our stay. Whilst we do appreciate his efforts of an apology on behalf of his staff members, we still feel that this was an avoidable, unfortunate and unnecessary incident to have occurred. We were looking forward to our hassle free relaxing overnight stay at the Novotel Nadi. Our check in should’ve been a very straightforward process, since we didn’t request any additional upgrades/changes just expected to be provided with the room which we’d paid for, but rather it turned out to be a great hassle and inconvenience for us. We were sneakily given a downgraded room without being informed of such a change. When we called from this hotel room to advise of the error, no apologies were forthcoming from the receptionist and we were told to allow them 10 minutes to remedy the issue and we’d receive a call back. Even after 10 minutes of waiting in the 1 Bedded room, there wasn’t a call back so we had to call them ourselves to get the update, and were informed that they’re still working on readying up our actual room. In the meantime we informed them that we’d be having lunch at the Hotel restaurant. Even after our meal (now 2 hours had lapsed from our check in time) we made our way back to reception to see what the situation was with our room, only to be met with unbothered staff

Our stay in general was quite pleasant. The rooms were adequately spacious and clean. Bathrooms need upgrade and ongoing maintenance as it appeared 'tired'. The hotel facilities were well maintained for a hotel of its age. The food was incredibly tasty. Full compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff! During our stay however, there was a clear and present issue with mosquitoes around the main areas of the hotel. Being attacked by mosquitoes prevented us from enjoying the outdoor dining/bar area and from being able to enjoy the balcony that came with our room. That was probably the only disappointing part of our stay. However, all in all, a pleasant stay, great food, wonderful Staff and conveniently close to the International Airport. Vinaka!

There were only 2 things we liked about this hotel:
1. A good restaurant
2. Close proximity to the airport.
However, overall, we have been left with a sour taste in our mouth and a bitter end to our time in Fiji. We were incredibly disappointed with our stay at Novotel Nadi and agree with other reviews suggesting a 2 star would better reflect this hotel.
We had booked a superior double room with multiple beds. However, the room we ended up with did not match that description.
The room was crawling with ants near the bed, by the tea station, and through the bathroom. The room was dirty - notably toilet, bath and floors did not look clean. The room was dark and stunk of cigarette smoke. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were in effect lumpy pillow cases.
If you have booked here a warning that they may attempt to overcharge you for the room. On arrival, it was acknowledged that we had paid in advance via Expedia, and we were advised a FJD100 hold would be charged to our card for any damages. On check out after a comedy of misunderstandings, they charged an additional FJD113.50 after misleading me to believe they needed my card to refund the original hold.
The hotel was then reluctant to refund either transaction until we could prove that we had already paid (despite, I'm sure their system showing the settled account). Our taxi driver who had witnessed the interaction told us we are not the first people he's seen impacted by this.
Avoid at all costs!

Positives - great friendly staff. Delicious buffet breakfasts. Relaxing grounds. However, the buildings need a lot of maintenance - leaks, decaying timber, bubbling/flaking paint everywhere etc... Our room was also quite run down. All the furniture had swollen from historic water damage, and some were shedding sawdust. The fridge was missing a leg, so it rocked every time we opened it. The kettle was odd as it turned itself off and then automatically on again so my wife burnt her hand on the handle - had to switch it off at the wall. One of the desk lights was temperamental. The exterior screen door was very difficult to operate due to worn tracks. One of the chair legs was not even so rocked when sitting in it. The sliding door to the toilet was stuck on the tracks, so difficult to operate. Inferior finishing work in the tiled bathroom. Ultimately, we were disappointed with the quality of the room as it was our 25th wedding anniversary trip that we had booked to Vanuatu, but then we had to make a last-minute change to Fiji due to the Vanuatu earthquake. We had been to Fiji previously in other resort accommodation that was much better quality, so I guess our expectations were too high, but for the price, I thought it should have been better.

This is our second time staying with Novotel. Highlights were the friendly staff five stars rated for that. Down side was I had already paid my room through Expedia, a day later after checking out my credit card was charged another night. I attempted to make contact, response was slow but I understand it’s busy during the Christmas season. I’m still yet waiting on the refund to be processed.

After getting bit we checked the bed and found bed bugs
When we called to complain, the staff wanted to see the bed bug . I guess they didnt belive us? Then they tried to tell me that it wasnt a bed bug when we were getting biten...i guess they've seen bed bugs before? They moved us into another room . The next day we saw the cleaners changing the bedings from the bed bug room. No fumigation was done. Be careful when staying there.Goodnight! Dont let the bed bugs bite.

Rated my stay poor because the room next to ours was so noisy, we can hear the kids next door screaming and crying. I stayed at Novotel a lot of times before but this time it wasn’t what I expected.

Ordered room service and waited for an hour only to get half of my order. Had to walked to the restaurant to pick up the rest of my order because we waited for another 30 minutes and nobody came back with the rest of my order.

I expected newer room, better looking bathroom and the room to be more clean and in a good condition since i paid almost $4000 for 6days but i was very much disappointed, the sliding doors were broken, curtains broken, bathroom was discusting, limited and same food for breakfast everyday, expensive lunch and dinner menus for very less amount. Old rackets n table tennis equipment.
I would neva stay there again.

I read the reviews online (negative) but the photos looked good- Plus other places were really expensive so we booked it anyway.

The hotel is very outdated- Bathroom floor was dirty (soiled so could have been scrubbed clean) , They never changed our sheets- just made the bed and changed towels.
Staff were very friendly but service was poor. We ordered some drinks and we expected to get the drinks in about an hour ( fiji time) but One hour later they come and tell us the drinks are not available and we need to order something else.
The swipe card stopped working and they had to change the battery on the lock. ( This can happen anytime so we were just unfortunate)
Overall these points made me score them negatively.
- Slow overall service
- DIrty and outdated
- Golf course is out of date - never saw anyone playing there
- The private road leading up to the hotel is full of potholes
- Breakfast is the same every morning.
- The birds attack the omelette station outside so do use the spoons provided there.
- minor inconvenience- the bathroom mirror is not in front of the hand basin so difficult for wet shaving.

On the positive it was cheaper compared to a lot around that area so you could say you get what you pay for !!

The location was good. Walking distance to a supermarkets and Jack’s, and close to the airport. The room was very tired. Beds were clean and comfortable but the air conditioning was extremely loud and we couldn’t control the temperature. It was dimly lit and the ranch slider outside seemed rattly and unsafe. The bathroom was old, but clean. The sliding, frosted door didn’t close properly and the shower leaked water everywhere. Rubbish bins weren’t lined and there was no water jug in fridge.
We dined in the restaurant in the evening. They had a great band but the volume was too loud to chat over. Staff continuously ignored us, and our two course meal took two hours!
Breakfast was amazing, but then there was no water in our room after that. We talked to reception twice about it and they didn’t even offer free drinking water. Luckily we had had our showers before and checked out after.
If you do stay there make sure you ask about all the activities. Reception gave us no information about where the pool table etc were. They just weren’t that welcoming to us. We have stayed in old resorts where the staff make the difference. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case at the Novotel.
The porters were great as were the Breakfast team but next time we shall stay somewhat else.

Conveniently close to airport. Great staff, bedroom was modern and spacious, the bathroom looked a bit run down. Shower rail and bath spout very loose, everything worked but some maintenance will be helpful. Great food, jumped on the local bus and had so much fun going into Nadi. We have stayed at Novotel Nadi multiple times and I would recommend this for a stopover close to the airport.
