While we enjoyed aspects of our stay, we were disappointed with the housekeeping service. Our package included daily room cleaning, however during our 6-night stay the room was only serviced 2–3 times. We expected a much higher standard of housekeeping from a resort of this calibre, especially when it was included in the package we paid for. This inconsistency impacted our overall experience and is something that needs improvement.

Great property if you are a family with young children, but not great if you are after a quiet holiday as this is definitely where families with very young children go.

The best hotel by far, with the loveliest staff - who adored our children and went over and above with everything they did for our family. Breakfast buffet was amazing, very spoilt for choice and so many options. Onsite restaurants are also amazing, but here is literally no need to leave the resort as everything you need is there. We finished a cruise in fiji and added an additional 4 days to our holidays before heading home.
This is a really lovely place to stay in Fiji.
The entire staff are so warm and welcoming.
The food was better than the cruise ship.
Our room was well furnished, the bathroom really spacious.
Probably our only issue was the bed, mattress. It had a definite dip on the edge and the sheets we thought were thick and scratchy.

I had read many reviews of various hotels on Denarau island and ultimately chose Sheraton golf and beach resort and were so glad we did!
I totally understand what previous reviewers have said about the staff, facilities, gardens, food - everything is superior!

We last visited this resort in 1998 as a family of 5 and returned recently as a couple, a lot has changed it's simply the best!

This resort is made for families in every way We stayed for 5 days with 4 kids 4 adults.
Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Breakfast was a highlight for everyone - loved the omelette station and fresh juice bar!
The centrally located pool is perfect the kids can swim and parents can supervise from the restaraunt. Location was perfect easy walk to all the other hotels and their restaurants and pools. Water park across the road was amazing too you can come and go with all day pass.
The fijian people are second to none, they are warm, welcoming and attentive. Definitely the best hotel on Denarau currently 10/10!
Only improvement (for all the hotels) would be GET TAP BEERS especially at the Heineken beer bar … 😅
We will be back at the end of the year, thank you Sheraton!

Lovely hotel and outstanding friendly staff. We ate at the restaurants and café, and the food was very good. There were loads of families with kids and the hotel sponsors activities for kids, too. The Rosie's holidays desk was always staffed, and there are electric buggies to take you around the rather sprawling property and to neighboring hotels (like the Westin, where the spa is located). The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and ours came with a welcome plate of macarons and chocolates. Be careful if you visit during rainy season, as many of the paths around the grounds flood temporarily during heavy rain. Also be aware that there are no lifts to the second floor rooms, only stairs. Still, the staff go out of their way to be helpful.

Staff were excellent, very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and you didn’t have to wait for anything as they had multiple stations available. It’s one resort where you didn’t feel like everything was on ‘Fiji time’ as things got done quite quickly which was refreshing.
Downsides for us was that room type which could accommodate 4, it had two double beds but we had a 6yr old and 3yr old in the bed and that was a disaster with the bed being so small and you couldn’t really push it up against a wall or anything. I’m not sure how two older kids would fit in there. Would be great if they had rooms with bunk beds like the Sofitel does as this is just so much easier for kids - I’m surprised they don’t considering how many families with kids are there.
Kids club is kinda lacking considering how good the rest of the resort is. We stayed at the Sofitel as well and their kids club is a lot better and more organised with good games for the kids and just a better setup altogether. Overall super happy with our stay at the Sheraton though.

If I has to sum up my stay in three words I’d say it was: Pleast, Easy, and Convenient. The resort was very clean and organized. All of the staff were very polite and professional and super accommodating. My room was very spacious and clean with a gorgeous view. I enjoyed all of the amenities that I participated in including the wonderful clean pools. I especially loved the private beach. The fire show was AMAZING! The food was to die for and everything was conveniently located from the gift shops to the restaurants to the pools/beach. The gym was a bit far… but I guess the walk there was the warm up. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay and will be booking with the Sheraton again when I return.

We had a fantastic week-long stay at the resort and truly enjoyed every moment. This well-thought-out resort takes care of everything from the moment you arrive until the time you leave. It provides an excellent and safe environment for kids to play and have fun. The food and drink options were outstanding, featuring fresh breakfasts and delicious dinner buffets with a variety of choices, along with great in-room service! The staff were incredibly friendly, serving everyone with smiles at all times.

However, I would like to mention a few areas for improvement. The open areas were quite dark after sunset, lacking sufficient lighting in places like the pool area and the beach, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, we had an issue with the shower amenities; despite informing the staff three times, we never received hair conditioner during our entire stay.

Overall, we had a positive experience and highly recommend the resort, especially for families with kids. We will definitely return for our next trip to Fiji.

The food…. Awful for every meal. Except the room service chicken wrap from the children’s menu. But you pay like you’re visiting the best restaurants in New York.

Spent 7 nights at the Sheraton, room was nice, clean, comfortable with good aircon and a ceiling fan.

Island 619 breakfast and dinner buffets were good, but birds at breakfast time are a huge issue. We observed birds standing in the food and eating directly from the buffet daily and the staff did not seem to care or do much about it. Dont walk away from your plate, the birds will beat you back to the table!

Spent most of our time at the Wet Edge bar and pool which was nicer and quieter than the main pool area of the resort.

Room service and bars are well priced considering you are inside a resort.

The Tatuvu restruant offers fantastic food , service and sunset views with nightly entertainment.

The grounds of the resort are very well maintained and most resort staff are friendly and helpful.

It is worth mentioning that on check in the resort requires a $1000FJD hold as a security deposit and that the resort is completley cashless. None of the resturants, bars or cafes will take cash, you need to pay via card or charge to your room.

The only places that accept cash are the retail / convenince stores inside the grounds although the prices here are extremley inflated. If youre looking for better value for money go to the supermarket at Port Denaru where food, alcohol and medication are all significantly cheaper.

We will absolutley return but would like to see the bird / food safety issues adressed.

Pros:
Lovely staff.
Gorgeous grounds, constantly being maintained by the groundskeepers.
Good restaurants.
Great location and easy to get around.
Very clean guest bathrooms.

Cons:
The deal we booked was different to what we were offered though. (Limits on the use of resort credit contradicted the offer we booked, plus there wasn't daily Mindflight voucher as told when booking, but once per visit for one person, plus a large unnecessary pre-authorisation on card that wasn't advertised when booking and will now take 1-2 weeks to get back).
More chairs/umbrellas are needed around the pool areas.
Drain fly larvae wiggling around in the shower which freaked out the kids.

A guest laundry would be an amazing addition for travelling families!

We had an amazing time at the Sheraton. We found the swim up bar at the villas which we found to be way better than at the hotel. The people as always were amazing. We had some ants in our room and they came and cleaned them all and organised someone to spray, we didn't have any after that.
Other than that it was an amazing time. Buffet breakfast was definitely the highlight.

This resort was amazing! The Fijian staff are truly the best! They are the warmest, friendliest and kind people we have ever met! Kudos to the training of the Sheraton staff. They were absolutely on top of things. The front desk checked in often to see how our stay was going and if we needed anything. Through the restaurants staff member’s serenaded guest for birthdays and departures and their voices were special. We had the buffet all inclusive and the food was varied at excellent. Sunset ever night was amazing!
Highly recommend this hotel.

The positives:
Lovely hotel/resort with large pool and beach front location gardens that are extremely well maintained. The best asset this hotel has is the staff who are extremely friendly & for whom nothing is too much trouble.

There's a kid's club & various adult activities that occur every day. The hop on hop off 'Bula bus' ($12/adult/day, although you can buy a multi day ticket as well) runs every few mins between the Sheraton & other resort hotels & Port Denarau in Denerau Is. If you want a local experience, catch the yellow West bus which does the same route for $1.40.

Fiji Airlines has an office in the hotel so if you are flying out of Nadi you can check in your self & your bags at this office. The office is only open for a couple of hours twice a day so be sure to check when it's open if you want to use this service.

The only negative:
The buffet restaurant area is open to the outside & has netting around openings specifically to try & keep out Indian myna birds. These birds are present in plague proportions & are constantly flying around inside, pooping & picking up scraps of food from abandoned tables & even worse from the buffet itself. We were told that in a month or two the restaurant area would be modified & enclosed for 2 reasons, one so that the area could be air conditioned (desperately needed) & two, to keep birds out. In the meantime, buffet food should be under plastic domes so birds can't get to it. Management needs to fix this asap!

Good- convenient location to airport & marina, room was nice, beds comfortable except we only had two pillows, porters were helpful with bags and booking taxis.

Bad- long wait to check-in. We called twice to have more pillows brought to the room but they were never delivered. Lots of hidden charges with the room. At check-in we were given pool towel cards even though the pool was closed during our stay. We handed them back straight away for this reason. We would have been charged $60 for unreturned pool cards. There were signs all through the room saying you would be charged if The restaurants & shopping onsite were average.

Exceptional experience at Sheraton Fiji Resort

Our family had the pleasure of staying at Sheraton Fiji Resort while celebrating our daughter’s birthday, and the experience exceeded our expectations.

The quality and variety of both breakfast and dinner were outstanding. The meals were well presented, delicious, and truly enhanced our stay.

During our visit, our daughter unfortunately experienced itchy bites late at night. The security team responded promptly and assisted us in transporting her to a medical facility. Their professionalism and support during a stressful situation were greatly appreciated.

We would like to sincerely thank Ora, the Front Desk Manager, and Anna, the Duty Manager, for their exceptional care, professionalism, and attention to detail. They accommodated our request for a room change and ensured our comfort throughout the remainder of our stay.

Although there was a minor issue involving one staff member, management addressed it immediately and went above and beyond to ensure our stay remained positive. The surprise birthday cake delivered to our daughter at 11:30 pm was a thoughtful and memorable gesture.

Overall, the level of service we received was outstanding — 10 out of 10 for the staff. We felt genuinely valued as guests and would highly recommend Sheraton Fiji Resort to anyone visiting Fiji. Thank you for making our family’s stay truly memorable.

All staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were cleaned daily, buffet breakfast had a great selection, resort grounds and pool areas were clean, perfect location for Denarau golf, Bula bus is the most popular way to travel back and forth between the port and Denarau resorts ($35 ticket for 5days), we had stores at our resort selling beachwear, jewellery to cultural carvings, beautiful dresses and so much more, loved the perfect views of every sunset on the beach, amazing singing by the entertainers each night, great place for our family of six (age 10 to 48), highly recommend, we will definitely go back again.

I very much enjoyed my time at the Sheraton but a few negatives brought down my rating from a 5 to a 4.

Things got off to a poor start when my reservation for a room with a king bed was not honored. I don't understand how the hotel could not have the correct room for a guest who booked months in advance and arrived at 3pm. I was provided a room with a better view and offered the opportunity to move if a king became available the next day. I ended up staying in the original room.

Restaurant options are somewhat limited at the hotel. There are several options at the Radisson next door and nearby.

Service was wonderful. A little slow for someone from the New York area but the people are so gracious that I never minded the wait.

The property is beautiful. The adult pool was nice and the beach very accessible.

My room was quite nice. The bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked perfectly and the shower was excellent. And there was even plenty of closet space which is unusual these days. On days I wanted my room cleaned it was done beautifully.

Perhaps I'm letting the issue with the king bed affect my rating too much but that sort of thing is a pet peeve. I do highly recommend this resort.
